College Confession #36

One Friday, I realized we had a book review due on Tuesday and after checking my shelf, I didn’t even own the book.

Rather than ruin my weekend and spend ten dollars, I go to the bookstore, take a few pictures of important looking pages, find a few memorable quotes online, and crank out a 5 page paper in 4 hours. Got a B. College.

Concordia University Nebraska

anonymous asked:

Hey! I love your work, I adore every piece! :) so thank you! I was wondering if you could do a fluffy jinyoung scenario. Anything you want is fine, but please lots of fluff! :) thank you!

(I got this plot from another request!)

“Pst,” you whispered as you tapped the desk at the front of the library. Jinyoung looked up and smiled at you. He stood up from his swivel chair and pecked you on your lips.

“You’re earlier than usual,” he grinned as you went around to the back. “Was your class cancelled?”

You shook your head as you put your backpack on the ground and sat in the chair next to him. “We had a test, but I finished it pretty quickly, so I just came straight here.” Your boyfriend nodded his head as he went back to the book he was reading. “How’s everything so far?”

“The plot just started,” he replied as he looked up from his book. “I think after a few more chapter, we’ll see some character development.”

Covering your mouth, you tried to hold in your laughter. “I meant in the library. How are you handling the fort?”

Jinyoung put in his bookmark as he tried to hide his blushing face. “Well,” he coughed, “one of the computers on this floor isn’t working, but I already called a techie to handle that. Oh, and the third floor is getting rowdy again.”

You grunted as you leaned back in your chair. “Is it Jackson and the boys again?” you asked as Jinyoung nodded his head. “Seriously?” you sighed in quiet tone. You stood up from your desk and pecked Jinyoung’s cheek before he headed for the elevators. “I’ll be back.”

“Jackson!” you exclaimed as your friends were in full view. Jackson turned around and waved at you as the others called your name out loudly. You angrily slapped his waving hand down, making him flinch in his eat.

“Whoa, what gives?” he asked in complete shock.

“How many times do I have to tell you,” you snarled, “this is the silent floor of the library.”

“We were being quiet, noona!” Bam Bam added as he stuffed his mouth full of chips. The mere sight of his bag of chips just added onto your anger.

You grabbed Bam Bam’s bag of chips. “And no eating up here either!” Bam Bam frowned as he continued to chew the chips in his mouth.

You then glared over at Mark as he went back to typing on his laptop. Before you could say anything else, Jinyoung walked over to the table. “Did you yell at them already?” From the looks of it, the three boys at the table have been talked to already.

“Hyung, noona won’t let me eat my chips,” Bam Bam pouted.

“Yah,” Jinyoung put his hand to his forehead, “I told you that you can’t eat up here a million times already!”

Jackson groaned as he rocked back and forth in his chair. “Okay mom and dad, we’ll behave from now on, don’t worry.” Before you could comment, Jinyoung tugged your shirt by your shoulder and motioned you to follow him.

Just as you were about to ask why he wanted you to leave, he intertwined his hand with yours. “They’re not being loud anymore and that’s all that matters,” he smiled as if he was reading your mind.

Just as you were going to turn left to the elevator, Jinyoung went right, pulling the two of you back together. You two giggled quietly.

“Let’s take the long way so we can catch up,” he whispered. With a nod, you went to the right with him. “So how was your week so far?”

You swung your intertwined hand back and forth as you walked down the corridor. “It’s been alright. Nothing too stressful. The test we took today was easy since it was open notes.”

“Oh, that’s good to hear!” Jinyoung smiled. He let go of your hand real quick to open the door to the stairwell for you. After you were both in, he put his hand back in yours as you headed down the stairs. “Did you have that meeting with your advisor?”

You shook your head. “He cancelled it yesterday. Apparently he had a meeting he didn’t know about so he cancelled all of his appointments.”

“Wow, that’s rough,” Jinyoung replied.

“How are you?” you asked back as you continued down the flights of stairs. “It’s been so long since our library duty schedules lined up.”

“It has,” he chuckled, “but at least we’re with each other now. I’m good. I have a research paper due on Monday and a book review due on Tuesday next week. I also have a meeting tomorrow and a fundraiser event this Saturday.”

“Oh my gosh,” you gasped. “That’s such a busy schedule.”

“It’s okay, you know I like busy work,” he grinned.

“Don’t stress yourself out too much though, okay?” you told him. He looked up to see that you were very sincere with your words.

He leaned over to peck your cheek as you reached the bottom floor. “Don’t worry too much,” he smiled. “I’ll be fine. Your Jinyoungie is a strong boy!”

You laughed as you opened the door for the both of you. “I’m well aware that my Jinyoungie is the strongest~” you cooed as you pinched his cheek.

“Okay, okay!” he laughed as you let go of his cheek. He winced in pain as he rubbed his face. “On second that, that really heart. I’m not that strong after all.”

The two of you continued chuckling as you passed by another friend. You stopped in your tracks as you tapped Jinyoung’s shoulder to see. He turned around and tried to contain himself as both of you spotted your friend, Youngjae, curled up on the table sleeping. On top of that, he was using one of his textbooks as a blanket.

“This is too good,” Jinyoung muttered as he took out his phone and took a quick snapshot of the scene.

You tip-toed over to Youngjae and saw he was knocked out. Looking at the papers sprawled over the table, and his laptop that was on sleep mode, he was busy working on something. “Pst,” you whispered as you shook Youngjae. “Pst, wake up!” you said in a firmer tone.

“Oh, let him sleep,” Jinyoung said. “He was busy working on a paper all night. I came in and found him working at this table.”

You sighed. “Well, if that’s the case, couldn’t he have gone to the couches upstairs?”

Jinyoung shrugged. “Looks like he was too tired to do that.” As you were thinking with what to do with Youngjae, Jinyoung took off his jacket and laid it on top of Youngjae. You looked at your boyfriend in shock. “It’s better than using the textbook as a blanket,” he whispered as he slid the textbook from underneath his sleeping friend and put it near Youngjae’s laptop.

“But…the jacket…”

Jinyoung waved it off as the two of you continued walking to the front desk. “Ah, he knows it’s mine and he knows where to find me when he needs to return it.”

You smiled at his sincerity towards his friend. “You’re so nice,” you beamed.

“I’m an angel,” he joked as the two of you turned the corner. “Speaking of which,” he began as he waved over at the person waiting at the front desk.

You looked up and saw that Yoogyeom was patiently waiting with a book in hand. He spotted the two of you and waved with a warm smile on his face. “What brings you here?” you asked.

“Ah, noona. I was just wondering if you could help me find the place where this book is supposed to go,” Yoogyeom answered as he showed you the book in his hands.

“Yah, you don’t have to do that,” Jinyoung chuckled. “It’s our job to put the books back on the shelves in their proper place.”

“Oh, but I know it’s a hassle so I was just going to do it myself,” Yoogyeom responded.

“Ahh, you’re such an angel!” you squealed as you gave your younger, yet taller, friend a warm hug. He reciprocated the hug as Jinyoung laughed on the side. “Here,” you said as you motioned him to follow you, “I’ll show you where it goes.” Yoogyeom nodded as he followed behind you.

You turned to wave at Jinyoung. “I’ll be back!”

He smiled as he returned to his position behind the desk. “Take your time,” he called out. “I’ll be here!” And with that, he leaned back in his chair and picked up his book again.

However, he was surprised to find a sticky note on top of his book. Looking at it, this was definitely your handwriting. He wasn’t even aware that you wrote a note in the first place, let alone stick it to his book.

“The character development is great in this book,” he read your note aloud. “And the ending is great. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I did. Love you,” he chuckled as he stuck the note back onto the front of his book again. He opened the book and leaned back in his seat as he dug himself into his book adventure and awaited you to come back from your duty calls.
