book photo project

Last year, I organised a Travelling Book Project, using All the Bright Places by @jenniferniven as the travelling book and it was absolutely amazing 😄
In case you don’t know what this is - the people participating select a book, that will go from one person to the next, each reading it, making notes, writing down their thoughts, reactions, drawing in it, anything goes 😊 In the end, the book returns to the person it left from. It lasted 10 months until it found its way back to me.
But I got back a book full of other readers, full of their thoughts and feelings. It was beautiful. ❤
And All the Bright Places was the best pick possible for this project. I adore this book with all my heart ❤

Born and raised in the city, Walter is familiar with his favorite spot to read.
He found it today, after checking out, “American Shame, Stigma and the Body Politic.” It was edited by Myra Mendible and published in 2016.

The essays consider the role of shame as cultural practice and examine ways that public shaming enforce conformity and group coherence.

here’s a cheeky preview of my submission for @btscoloringbookproject ;’)

very excited for this project to be finished!! please give it lots of love ♡

Since the Shinra photo book is taking forever and a day, gathered up a few of my faves and made a photo collage.

A2 poster (17 x 23 in), on 160gsm card, which I’ll be selling at any cons I trade at this year. I imagine postage will make them prohibitively expensive for overseas buyers, but they’re $20USD + whatever postage/handling is (likely to be around $10USD but don’t quote me just yet) if anybody’s interested. Ping me over the messaging system if you are and we’ll sort something out.

Shout-out to my local bookstore, which is THE BEST. Y'all. I was having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, but then I walked from the library where I work to the local bookstore on my lunch (as I do almost every day) and they gave me free ARCs. So. Much. Love.

On twitter last month, I had tweeted out a possible idea about making a gift for Tetsuya Nomura for Kingdom Hearts 15th anniversary and now with people on board, I can spread this project to Tumblr.

So long story short, my work can make photo books and I decided to use that as the main gift for him filled with your artwork, cosplay photos,  thank you or congratulatory messages to him. You can even submit a photo of something KH related that you cherish or even a short story of how much KH means to you.

I want us to thank Nomura for all his hard work he’s done for the series and show we appreciate everything.

In the two images above, the one on the left is the outline for the photo book project and the image on the right is the example book my work showed me in how it can look.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to message me on here or send me an email or contact me on twitter!

DIY Bookshelves!

So I needed a lot of shelves (I still need more to be honest) but all of the pre-made ones at the store would’ve ended up breaking my bank… I was able to make these six shelves for $30 bucks with some wooden planks cut in half and 10″ concrete bricks from Homedepot. They aren’t the cutest arrangement, but it gets the job done!
