Process of Shipping

*WARNING*: Shipping is a dangerous game. It could affect your mental health and sleep schedule. Do not ship because you will get fucked up.

Step 1: Find two characters on a show/book/movie (whether they are compatible or not)

Example:  Hmmm… Snart and Sara are two lovely characters

Step 2: See them as best pals because you know THEY WILL (probably) NEVER BE CANON

Example 2: Aw look at Mick and Amaya… They have such good friend chemistry… Too bad they aren’t canon

Step 3: Look at all their gifs together. Read fanfic about them. Become obsessed.

Example 3: KARA AND LENA KISSED?!!? WHEN?!? oh nvm they didn’t it’s an edit.

Step 4: See them as a romantically compatible couple.

Example: “sanvers sanvers Sanvers SANvers SANVERS SANVERS”

Step 5: Become conflicted. Cross ship people.

Example 5: Wanted Adam and Eve? What about Adam and Joanne? Oh, even better Eve and Joanne

**WARNING**: Only 97% of ships make it to Step 6

Step 6: It’s canon. The writers have heard your prayers.

Example 6: “And… Life’s too short. And we should kiss the girls we want to kiss. And I want to kiss you” YESS QUEEN GET YOUR BOO

Step 7: Enjoy your canon ship. Hell, make it one of your many OTPs

Example 7: 109. Korrasami… 110. Captain Canary… annnd 111. Sanvers!

******WARNING******* : IF YOUR SHIP IS IN A DANGEROUS SHOW, GAY, OR JUST REALLY HATED, ONE OF THEM WILL PROBABLY DIE

Bonus step (does not happen to every single canon ship): One character in your ship dies. Whether they were together for a long time or just for a few episodes, you will never get over them dying.

Example: The year is 2020. You’re happy with kids and a spouse. Then one day you remember the horrors… Lexa got shot by a STRAY FUCKING BULLET AND DIED.

Lexa died 5 years ago.

“I’m tired of people being ugly to each other. I’m tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world everyday. There’s too much of it. It’s like pieces of glass in my head all the time.”

In too deep, say I’m in too deep (in too deep).  And it’s been two years, I miss my home. But there’s a fire burning in my bones. Still believe. Yeah, I still believe.

MBTI In Fiction: INFJ (Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Judging)

INFJs are conscientious and value-driven. They seek meaning in relationships, ideas, and events, with an eye toward better understanding of themselves and others. Using their intuitive skills, they develop a clear and confident vision, which they then set out to execute, aiming to better the lives of others. Like their INTJ counterparts, INFJs regard problems as opportunities to design and implement creative solutions. INFJs can adapt easily in social situations due to their complex understanding of an individual’s motivations; however, they are true introverts. INFJs are private individuals who prefer to exercise their influence behind the scenes. Though they are very independent, INFJs are intensely interested in the well-being of others. INFJs prefer one-on-one relationships to large groups. Sensitive and complex, they are adept at understanding complicated issues and driven to resolve differences in a cooperative and creative manner.

Favourite ships on TV right now

1. Aramis & Anne (Annamis)

If you’re familiar with Merlin, you’ll know that Santiago Cabrera has built a career out of playing loyal men in the service of the king while secretly pining for his wife. Sure, Aramis is a notorious casanova, but Anne has managed to capture his heart - not Queen Anne, but the girl wearing the crown. And although their fragile moments together usually take place in the worst of circumstances, like a hostage crisis, an uprising led, or an assassination attempt that has them hide out in a cloister, she never feels safer than when she is with him. Anne’s feelings for Aramis also make her question the laws of her world, a world built by men. She may hide it well, but beneath her jewellery and fine frocks is a wild heart yearning to breathe free and make her own choices.

2. Raven & Wick (Wicken)

Poor Raven has been through a lot in the first two seasons of The 100. First she willingly space-rocketed back to Earth to be reunited with her boyfriend, only to find out he’s cheated on her. But that didn’t stop her from being badass in her own way, building bombs from scratch and setting up a radio station for communication. Even after her split with Finn, she soldiered on, which so far has led to severe spinal damage, the crippling loss of a loved one, almost getting tortured and eventually, the promise of new love with fellow brain and hottie Wick.

3. Hook & Emma (Captain Swan)

Just to be clear, this show is a disaster and I’ve never seen a full episode after the first season. But I am caught up on the history of this ship (which has the best name out of all the ships in this list, to be frank) and it is by far the best thing this show has brought forth. For the longest time after he lost his brother and beloved, Hook was adrift, disoriented, lost. He was a pirate and not to be trusted because his loyalties could be bought by whoever offered the best deal. Until he met Emma. Somehow she gave him back his inner light and reminded him of his own goodness. She inspired him to do the right thing and let himself care. In turn, Hook has been Emma’s strongest supporter in her struggle to accept herself for who she is. He’s always loved her exactly the way she is, despite her insecurities and abandonment issues. What a lad!

4. Clarke & Bellamy (Bellarke)

One day these two will be canon, we all know it. I’m not afraid to say that I wasn’t a fan of Bellamy in the beginning of the show. I thought that he was painted as a bully thirsting for power, when really all he was trying to do was the one thing he’s always risked everything for: protect his baby sister. In time, Bellamy and Clarke started to let go of their animosity and antagonism and instead embrace the qualities of the other that they themselves lack. The build up to their relationship has been subtle, a few stolen glances around a campfire, concern when the other was struck down by illness or injury, well-timed words of encouragement - and then there was the above-pictured hug. Together, these two are the sort of leaders that everyone would follow into hell, which is pretty much where they are already. So hurry up and get together you two!

5. Bonnie & Kai (Bonkai)

Who doesn’t want to see the seemingly irredeemable villain be redeemed through love? And while I have my doubts if anything is ever going to happen between them - for the same reasons nothing ever really happened between Klaus and Caroline when he was still on the show and considering that Chris Wood is being whisked off to his own show soon - I will not give up hope that it will. The chemistry between them is palpable and they were a huge part of each other’s story this season. After all, Kai was the one who prompted Bonnie to get her magic back and tell her about a way out of the prison world. Of course, Kai eventually left her hanging while he got the fuck out of there, but I’m sure he’ll make it up to her with his devilishly handsome face, his irresistible smile and his new found empathy. Maybe he could cook her dinner again? That didn’t go so bad last time, except for the part where he stabbed her and abandoned her.

6. Oliver & Felicity (Olicity)

It’s always the quiet ones. Which in this case, of course, means Oliver. Felicity Smoak is not your typical mousy tech-geek. She is fierce, she will call out her boss when he is being a jerk, she will smack a supervillain in the face and she will do it all in heels and a killer dress. By contrast, Oliver is a bit of a douche. He knows it, too. But Felicity makes him want to be better; she keeps him grounded in his humanity whenever he comes dangerously close to giving in to the killer in him. How these two haven’t taken over the city, nay, the world, is something I cannot figure out for the life of me.

7. Barry & Caitlin (Snowbarry)

I haven’t watched enough of this show to really form an opinion about them, but the karaoke episode was pretty solid. Right now, they are both going through a confusing time and dealing with a lot of changes and revelations in their lives, so it’s great that they have each other to lean on to. Time will tell if this genuine bond of affection can turn into romance.

8. Connor & Oliver (Coliver - I will never forgive myself for blanking on the show in the first edition of this post)

Brutally murdering someone, then hacking up his body and disposing it in a dumpster sort of fucks you up. Luckily for Coliver shippers, it apparently also draws you to the one source of light in your life, namely Oliver, aka “the hacker boy”. He’s the only person Connor trusts and the first guy who managed to crack holes in his walls of promiscuity and self-preservation. Well done, Oliver, well done.

9. D'Artagnan & Constance (Constagnan)

Simply the cutest! It’s always nice to see characters who are perfect in their own right fall in love. Like her bestie, the Queen, Constance has always dreamed of a life beyond the confines that her time has imposed on her as a woman. Forced into a marriage of convenience, she was practically waiting for something or someone to shake her out of her boring life as a housewife and she found it in D'artagnan. Besides his gorgeous face, the youngest of the Musketeers’ general amazingness sparked a fire in her soul that among others has made her pick up ass-kicking and medicine on the side. He also got her a sweet job as the Queen’s confidante which led to her becoming friends with Anne - cheers mate! She’s had her reservations about following her heart, but if the latest episode (2x08) is anything to go by, Constance is ready to start living. You go girl!

10. Damon & Elena (Delena)

Not an ideal relationship to be honest. If your boyfriend has bullied and attempted to kill each of your friends and your brother, he is probably not a keeper. That being said, Damon and Elena have “a love that consumes them”, that supplies them with adventure and thrill and thus ascertains that there is never a dull moment in this hellhole smalltown that they refuse to leave for some reason I will never understand. Her love gave him the strength and determination to overcome death; his love made her feel alive when she was literally a blood sucking walking dead girl. However codependent and borderline self-destructive their relationship has been at times, there’s just something about them that feels epic and yeah, consuming. I mean, despite all my objections, I still cry whenever they kiss and shit, so there’s always gonna be that…

11. Wes & Rebecca (???)

It’s too soon. I cannot talk about them without tearing up.

12. Lincoln & Octavia (Linctavia)

That Octavia Blake is one of the chief reasons why you should be watching The 100 is not really up for debate. In the two season span of this series, the girl that lived under the floor for most of her life has grown from starry eyed butterfly chaser into a fearless warrior everyone respects and appreciates. Even the Grounders. When the rest of The 100 were blinded by distrust and lack of understanding for the Earth people, Octavia reached out to a fit, tattooed stranger to get the diplomacy rolling. Her intuition in her dealing with Lincoln, the Grounder who developed a severe case of Lima syndrome for her and is wickedly talented at drawing ultimately resulted in an exciting romance everyone can rally behind. They challenge each other and thus empower each other. That they’ve got their priorities straight is also a bonus. That way they are actually capable of being apart if the situation and the greater good depends on it without automatically growing apart. Just a healthy, sexy, interracial (interspecies even?) relationship, so enjoy!

13. Asher & Bonnie (Basher)

I’m not gonna argue that Asher isn’t a huge douchebag. In fact, he is the definition of a douchebag. But he is also a vulnerable, lonely young man who longs for love and companionship and seems to have found …something…with Bonnie. He genuinely cares about her and he is good to her, regardless of how much of a douchebag he is whenever other people are around (can’t be stressed enough, really. Bless him though). I think we’ve started to see him mature into a better man already, so I for one am curious to see where the road takes him. Hopefully not to murder like his fellow interns.

14. Hailey & Elijah (Haylijah)

I think this scene speaks for itself. So much chemistry. So much angst. So much “I want to kiss you so bad but you’re carrying my jerk brother’s offspring that might set off the final battle between the witches and the vampires so I will do the right thing and cool it”

15. Roy & Thea

Sadly they broke up, but in a strange way they’ve grown even closer since then, standing up for one another, being there for each other. Now that Thea knows the truth, they can tell each other everything and lean on each other when things get rough. Roy is very protective of Thea, yet at the same time he recognises her strenth and unlike her brother doesn’t patronise her but trust her to make the right choices for herself. I do believe that they will eventually find their way back.

justakansasboy replied to your postThey had been on a few dates for a few weeks…

He blushed harder, keeping his eyes firmly fixated on her face. “I-it’s v-very nice…I-i like it.”

“I didn’t mean ta freak ya out, ya know. I was jus’ teasin’.”
She smiled a bit sympathetically at his blushing face. Harley smoothed the robe she had pulled on so he wouldn’t have to be so embarrassed.
“Thanks. I think so too, it’s why I wear ‘em so often.”
