I was playing an educational game for my government class.
This man… He’s an accused bank robber. His name is Clyde Borrow. Sound familiar? It’s so similar to another bank robber’s name, Clyde Barrow, isn’t it? And look at his age! Clyde Borrow is 34. Do you know who died in ‘34? Clyde Barrow.
The people who made this game probably put this little gem in for people who know way to much about history, just like me. This made my day.

Female Characters Appreciation, Villains: Part 1

“Isn’t it time to acknowledge the ugly side? I’ve grown quite weary of the spunky heroines, brave rape victims, soul-searching fashionistas that stock so many books. I particularly mourn the lack of female villains — good, potent female villains. Not ill-tempered women who scheme about landing good men and better shoes (as if we had nothing more interesting to war over), not chilly WASP mothers (emotionally distant isn’t necessarily evil), not soapy vixens (merely bitchy doesn’t qualify either). I’m talking violent, wicked women. Scary women. Don’t tell me you don’t know some. The point is, women have spent so many years girl-powering ourselves — to the point of almost parodic encouragement — we’ve left no room to acknowledge our dark side. Dark sides are important. They should be nurtured like nasty black orchids.”

A (brief) masterpost of musicals!

(I don’t own/ didn’t record these!) Also, they’re all on YouTube!(it’s unfinished so far!) (I really love brackets, but if any don’t work, I can probably get a different video for you from somewhere else, just send a message. I have a heck of a lot of links)

TITLE DROPS

edits by me, made with canva

I decided to dig through all the lyrics sheets of some of the most popular musicals, finding the first times the titles of the musicals were stated. It was actually challenging, surprisingly, for some of the plays where the title isn’t actually said in the songs that much.  But I made some pretty edits, and had a lot of fun with it. I also did one for Pippin, Sound of music and Gigi but. These were my favorites.

YAY FOR MUSICALS.
