‘88 was BMS’ first season in F1, it stayed in the championship as an independent team until '93, because of financial problems it merged with Minardi (who were also struggling), Lucchini, team founder, worked together with Giancarlo Minardi in '94 & '95, after those 2 years Lucchini left F1 to concentrate on (international) touring car racing
