Blue Mustang, known to locals by the nickname Blucifer and DIAblo, is a cast-fiberglass sculpture of a mustang of located at Denver International Airport. Colored bright blue, with illuminated glowing red eyes, it is notable both for its striking appearance and for having killed its creator Luis Jiménez when a section of it fell on him at his studio.
Blue Mustang was one of the earliest public art commissions for Denver International Airport in 1993. The sculpture was based on the eight-foot-high sculpture Mesteño(Mustang), on display at the University of Oklahoma. Standing at 32 feet (9.8 m) tall and weighing 9,000 pounds (4,100 kg) including its steel armature, Blue Mustang is located in the median of Peña Boulevard. Everyone who enters and leaves the airport drives by Blucifer.
There was a bit of drama to even get DIAblo in the first place.
1992. The DIA art committee granted New Mexican artist Luis Jiminez a $300,000 commission to create the sculpture, three years before the airport would finally open. Paid $165,000 upfront .
Jiminez misses the original 1994 deadline for the work. A cornea transplant he’d gotten twenty years before had begun to deteriorate, and some people speculated that the piece would never be completed
City grants Jiminez several extent ions, but the dates were never met with completion.
2003. The city files a lawsuit against Jimenez for the $165,000 it had paid up front, but agreed to drop the suit if the sculpture was finished by the end of the year. Sculpture not completed.
June 13, 2006. Jiminez was by himself in his studio rushing to finish the nearly-completed Mustang. He was reportedly using a rope to hoist a section of the sculpture into place so it could be welded. The hoist broke and the piece fell on the 66-year-old, pinning him to the ground and slicing an artery in his leg. Jiminez died on his studio floor.
The sculpture was completed with the help of the artist’s staff, family, and professional race-car painters Camillo Nuñez and Richard LaVato. Upon completion the sculpture was sent to California for assembly and then shipped to Denver. Blue Mustang was unveiled at Denver International Airport on February 11, 2008.
Blucifer is said to be part of Denver’s 4 Horses of the Apocalypse, 4 eerie horse sculptures in or around Denver.
Holistic healers have begun to wonder if the Mustang has connection to the Blue Star Kachina, a Hopi prophecy.
The sculpture has become a subject of interest for ghost hunters and paranormal researchers examining the “haunted” claims.
Others say that the Mustang bears incredible resembalance to the horse witnessed by men unwillingly subjected to time travel travel experiments in the Montauk Project, aka The Philidelphia Experiment.
I don’t do these, or usually post at all, but I felt the need to point some things out as I cannot find them anywhere else. Also please keep in mind the Hopi Tribe is a real culture and should be respected.
In Life is Strange, as we are now on the third episode, it is quite clear that the developers are following the Hopi Prophecies due to the seventh sign graffiti, a variant of the Hopi prophecy’s seventh sign, “This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it.”
These prophecies are the Hopi prophecies to the end of the world, but only for evil people in the world. “There is no shelter for evil. Those who take no part in the making of world division by ideology are ready to resume life in another world, be they Black, White, Red, or Yellow race.”
And it is (I believe) accepted that Chloe is the Blue Star Kachina mentioned within these prophecies, for example “The end of all Hopi ceremonialism will come when a “Kachina” removes his mask during a dance in the plaza before uninitiated children [the general public]. For a while there will be no more ceremonies, no more faith.” Or more importantly, the ninth sign of the Hopi Prophecies, “And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.” And we see this ninth sign clearly play out in the end of Episode One, when the lighthouse, the “dwelling-place” falls atop Max, and Max is suddenly awakened by Chloe, who appears like a blue star. And it’s very agreeable that Chloe is the Blue Star Kachina within the prophecies.
So how does Rachel fit into this? Well I began to look up what the Blue Star Kachina is, and what specifically a Kachina is, to gain a better understanding of what it is. The Kachina itself is a sort of doll(as far as I can tell, a Kachina is uniquely of the Hopi, but I could be wrong) and a spirit. To my understanding, they are sort of holy ‘dolls’ carved to look like, or for, spirits. Meaning they are less of a doll, more of a religious icon of some sorts. And so, I looked up images of Hopi Kachina dolls, and low and behold, I found many. And after sifting through many many images, I feel it is safe to say that, as expected, feathers often play a part in these Kachinas. I’ve seen the feathers(when they are on the doll) mostly around the ears myself, then I remembered that Rachel wore a single blue-feathered ear ring, usually related to the blue jay.
I think to myself, well it could be a coincidence or so, but then you should take a look at her missing poster.
“Tattoo on calf of a dragon and a star on the inside of the left wrist.” The last tattoo should stroke my fancy, a star on her left wrist, and a blue feather near her ear, and I can’t help but make connections to the Blue Star Kachina in Hopi prophecies, the “Saquasohuh (Blue Star) Kachina“ And now, I’m royally confused, as both Rachel and Chloe show signs of being the Saquasohuh Kachina. And I began to wonder why.
Rachel, Chloe, and Max:
So I began to dig around more theories, but I can’t really find much at all about these little details, it could perhaps just entail or have been foreshadowing to Chloe but I can’t help but feel such a little detail would foreshadow something large like that. Rather, it feels more as if its to hide something else larger. None the less I was stumped for a while, as I could not deny Chloe’s alignment with the Blue Star Kachina, but nor could I deny Rachel’s subtle similarities too. And again, I cannot find anything about this.
I began to search and started to come across many theories of Rachel and Max being the same person, due to all their similarities. But, and hear me out, that cannot be.
Other than many people mistaking Max for Rachel during Episode three, that could simply be the startled-retaliation of seeing someone in her clothes, like when you think you see a friend in the mall because they’re wearing the same clothes but in reality it’s a strange: their genes are all wrong. Max has blue eyes, Rachel has hazel eyes (Also stated by the missing poster), Max has dark brownish hair, whilst Rachel adorns blonde hair proudly.
But now, look at Chloe.
Chloe’s eyes, like Rachel’s, are hazel.
Both Chloe and Rachel have Hazel eyes, and, we also know that Chloe’s real hair colour is none other than blonde.
Blonde, with hazel eyes. So now, to me anyhow, it became clear, I could not ever think Rachel was Max simply due to similarities because of their genetic differences, but Chloe and Rachel fit together quite easily, both with blonde hair, hazel eyes, and both having some form of blue in them(Chloe’s hair, Rachel’s feather ear ring). It makes sense that Chloe never had anything with Rachel, though the two hung out a lot and despite Chloe’s crush for Rachel(as she admitted in Episode Three). As Rachel may have known who Chloe was, that Chloe was herself. I believe Rachel was Chloe from a timeline Max may have lived out when she had stayed with Chloe, rather than leave her, thus, Rachel, who is Chloe in this alternate timeline, never fell into drugs and pain, she had someone to lean on, and she never dyed her hair or changed who she was, she stayed similar to Max because Max and her(Rachel) had stayed together in this alternate timeline Max had lived out, which is why the two compliment each other so well(Such as Max is a photographer, and Rachel was a model).
She was, if I am correct, flung into the same world with a different timeline, resulting in different outcomes she was ignorant of, and so it makes sense the first person Rachel would go to or become friends with is Chloe, because the first thing she does would be to find her parents, or parent I suppose.
So how did Rachel-Chloe get over into a timeline where Max did leave Chloe? I have no idea. But we do know when Max left, Rachel appeared, and just a few months before Max reappeared, Rachel disappeared.
As a side note, almost nothing about Rachel Amber’s family is known other than the fact that they are “unaware of her whereabouts” And she has a parent who also shared the middle name dawn, and of course the last name “Amber.” As seen in her student report.
So either they really do not care, or do not really exist. Considering the fact this is the only little hint we get of Rachel having a family.
As another side note, it’s easily reasonable to say Rachel Amber most likely stayed with Chloe a lot considering her clothes were in Chloe’s wardrobe.
And as one last side note, in the Life is Strange OST there is a song by Amanda Palmer called “In My Mind.” The lyrics, I’m sure, everyone can find explains Chloe quite well until the end “Fuck yes/I am exactly the person that I want to be” I’m curious as to whether that could mean Rachel is Chloe too because those last two lines certainly don’t match with the Chloe like the rest of the song does. But that’s kind of a stretch.
An ancient Hopi Indian prophecy states, “When the Blue Star Kachina makes its appearance in the heavens, the Fifth World will emerge”. This will be the Day of Purification. The Hopi name for the star Sirius is Blue Star Kachina. It will come when the Saquasohuh (Blue Star) Kachina dances in the plaza and removes its mask.
According to Ancient Alien Theory The Blue Kachinas are aliens.
