Blip Festival Tokyo was more than 8,000 miles away, but I was able to catch some of the second day action. The sound from was very good from blipfestival Ustream channel. Depending on the angle of the camera I could see the performer(s) and visuals. The pixelation added to the visuals. I was able to watch from my computer then to my TV. At the end of the show I listened to it live in the car. I am spoiled with today’s technology.
I only had 3.5 hours of sleep before the show started after 2 AM. I quickly became wide awake when Cheapshot hit the stage. No need to ease the crowd in with the opening act. CTrix might make the stringed guitar obsolete. Nullsleep has such a heavy sound, and I like it how it keeps getting tweaked. Did I watch Omodaka or fall asleep to have a wonderful dream of singing monitors? I got a little emotional with Sexy-Synthesizer’s Devo cover. Je Jeviens DJ en 3 Jour was playing while I was in the car with the speakers pumped up. Luckily I got to see a video later of the Jjdj3j dance squad. Life got in the way of seeing and listening to the other acts that day.
