the worst villains aren’t the ones that blow apart public property or try to take over the world; they are the ones that fit into your life seamlessly and silently fill your heart with hope while holding out a hand and encouraging your resentment or bitterness towards others. they are the ones that promise you everything and slowly have you grow to depend on their word and actions. they are the ones that look to you as the only one you can trust, your only friend, and your only choice. the worst villains are the ones that make you believe they aren’t one.
