witch tip:

if you are holding on to anger towards someone (especially a person who is no longer in your life), sit in a quiet place, burn your favorite incense, and write that person a letter.  write down every single thought and emotion you feel towards that person. when you are done, burn the letter in a cauldron or fireproof bowl.  as you burn it, repeat out loud “you no longer have power in my life” until the letter has turned to ash.  collect the ash and use it to make black salt.

Trump Survival Tip No. 7: Black Bloc, Part 1

If you’ve been to an action recently, you’ve probably seen a group of folks dressed entirely in black, masked up, marching under black flags. These folks were using a tactic known as black bloc. Black bloc was first developed by European anarchists in the 1980s; for that reason, and because of my own politics, this tip will be written with an anarchist’s perspective and praxis, but black bloc is a tactic, not an ideology, and can be used by anyone. This tip will describe what a black bloc is; the next will describe how to do it.

In a black bloc, participants wear plain black clothing with few identifying markers, as well as some kind of face mask, such that all participants look the same. This is to protect marchers’ identities by providing anonymity and solidarity. It also provides limited protection against chemical weapons, although you should have a proper respirator on hand if you’re expecting to get gassed.

The primary goal of a black bloc is anonymity. The idea is to make it hard to identify any one member of the bloc, to prevent capitalists, the state, or fascists from targeting them. This allows participants to march in safety, as well as partake in direct action without fear of reprisal. Once you’ve smashed that bank window or laid out that Klansman, you can disappear into a crowd of folks who look identical to you, making it impossible for the cops, fascists, or your boss to target you for arrest, assault, or termination later.

Black is the chosen color for a bloc primarily to facilitate anonymity. First off, there’s only one shade of black; a “red bloc” would run into the difficulty of everyone wearing a different shade of red, which kinda defeats the purpose of a bloc. Secondly, since facial recognition software depends on shadow, wearing dark clothing actively disrupts that. Black also achieves the secondary goal of a bloc: psychological impact.

Black blocs present a highly-visible and psychologically striking anarchist presence. They demonstrate our solidarity, organizational capacity, and stance. From within, being in a bloc makes you feel invincible; the first time I marched in bloc, looking intimidating as hell and surrounded by my comrades, I was bulletproof. From outside, a bloc can be terrifying; they demonstrate that there are a lot of anarchists here, they’re standing together as one, they have the organization to pull this off, and they’re fucking angry.

Anonymity is important. It’s impossible to protect yourself without it, and it’s impossible to target you if you have it. Black blocs are the best way to get it at a demo or an action; spread the word, and bring the bloc to your next action.

Yooooo this has helped me so much.
I realized my love language (what makes me feel loved the most by my partner) is words of affirmation and physical touch so that’s how I show love as well but that’s not my girls love language. So honestly I haven’t been loving her right this whole damn time in her terms of love. Her love language is acts of service so instead of always being so mushy I’ve got to do more shit and help out to show here I love her a lot cuz that speaks more to her heart then me saying some shit where as me idc if I come home and u cleaned the house like I’d appreciate it but I’d melt if you just grab my face and shower me with love and tell me u missed me and kiss me all over like a puppy Lmbo. So figure out ur partners love language trust me it pays off.👌🏾

Kiss Scenes 101: How To Write The Perfect Kiss

Anonymous said: Hey there. Not sure what kind of questions you accept but…here goes. Do you have any tips for writing kiss scenes? Not fluffy kiss scenes but really passionate ones. Thanks!

I was hoping to post this on Valentine’s Day, but I got a little busy so it got pushed back. Happy (late) Valentine’s Day, and enjoy!

|| 1 || Detail. Remember that describing a kiss means including more detail than just what is happening and when. Be sure to include description of how the protagonist’s five senses are being affected, as well as some other elements such as:

  • What the protagonist smells
  • What the protagonist tastes
  • What the protagonist hears
  • What the protagonist sees
  • The inner monologue of the protagonist, if the point of view in your story allows it.

|| 2 || Make the kiss(es) realistic. Situational details are a key factor in making the scene more satisfying and memorable. Pay attention to details like the character’s physical characteristics, such as glasses, braces, messy hair, etc. and incorporate those tiny details into the scene.

She turned her head to the left, leaning in to brush her lips against her partner’s, but was interrupted when their noses bumped together, making them both giggle, and the awkwardness fade away.

I mean, sure, that’s not the best example, but at least it’s better than:

Their lips collided, and they made out flawlessly, as if they were in a Nicholas Sparks novel.

Little details like bumping noses, giggling, grinning like an idiot, stumbling, hesitating, etc. can make the scene so much better.

|| 3 || It doesn’t always have to be a full on make out session every time two characters kiss. A lot of the time, kisses are short and sweet and that can be enough to send a substantial spark to the fingers and toes, and send the reader out smiling. Pecks, if only on the cheek, can be more than enough and are extremely underrated.

|| 4 || Pay attention to what your characters do with the rest of their bodies. Kissing is in no way just about the mouth. Keep in mind that most of the time, people don’t just lean forward and mush their faces together. Grab the face, caress the lower back, hold their hand, hell, sweep them off their feet and carry them into the sunset! Don’t just stand there!

|| 5 || Lastly, but not least..ly.. VOCABULARY. Using the right wordage can improve your kiss scene-no, scratch that- ANY SCENE a million times better. I’ve made an entire post on vocabulary and synonyms to use for your sex/kiss scenes {shameless plug} and you can find it:

HERE HERE HERE HERE HERE HERE HERE HERE

|| 6 || Read kiss scenes as a writer would. Read kiss scenes that you’ve enjoyed and nitpick them to find what you do and don’t like about them, adding the good things to your own scene and being wary of the bad.

And now, here are some extra tips to get you going:

 I. Practice - If you’re in a relationship or have a really great friend {;)}, practice the act and take notes on how it actually feels! A lot of people who read these kiss scenes take it as the reality because some have never kissed anyone, so teach them how it’s done!

II. Know your characters - Would they actually bite their partner’s lip like that? Would they actually go as far as caressing the majestical inner thigh? Think about it.

III. Add elements of the setting - Are your characters standing in the middle of a crowd? In a high school hallway? Elevator? Include details like sounds and smells and lighting to give the reader a more full-sensory experience.

IV. Dialogue can be fun to play with - Kissing doesn’t always have to be silent. Maybe they break for a second to say “You’re so beautiful” or “Did you pop a mint when I wasn’t looking, oh sneaky one?”. Include those little mutterings or comments because they are some of the best parts.

V. Have someone you trust read it - If you’ve got a good friend who will be honest, have them read and suggest edits. Google docs is fantastic for having your friends read and help you edit your work, because you can change the setting to “suggest edits” and you can see everything they’ve suggested without permanently altering the scene.

Top 5 skincare products✨

Not sure why I decided to drop this, but my skin care routine has been ON POINT this year and wanted to share it with the rest of Tumblr. Use it, don’t, make some edits and let me know how they turn out for you. My melanin has been sparkling all year though so I really wanted to share the love. Enjoy✨

African black soap: I tend to gravitate towards the Shea Moisture brand although it’s very drying in areas with harder water, so using a great moisturizer is key. Those of you with soft water, you’re blessed. I tend to use this on my face despite the risk. On sensitive skin areas, (face and cooch) do NOT let this sit long. Trust me, please don’t.

Apple Cider Vinegar: This is a life saver! Since my skin doesn’t break out often, I tend to only use this once a week or when I do get a minor breakout. Mix this half and half with water, applying to the face with a cotton ball and let dry. Super easy.

Lemon, honey, oatmeal/sugar exfoliator: I love making products myself when I can. Plus, these ingredients are sooooo good for you! The lemon brightens your skin, and in this mix gets rid of unwanted facial hair with continued use over time. The honey makes such a great moisturizer and my skin feels so soft and smooth after I use it. The oatmeal after you grind it up as fine as possible, (I like to use a mortar and pestle, but a blender works fine too) calms down redness and irritation, even caused by acne. I tend to substitute sugar when I’m going for a lip scrub. With oatmeal, I’ll apply twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Let this set for twenty minutes, then in outward circular motions, rub off, rinsing off with COLD water. With the lip scrub, I’ll use at least once a week or before using matte lip stick.

Eucerin Healing Soothing Repair Cream: This works MIRACLES for me. Where I currently go to school, the water is super harsh so keeping my skin moisturized is a necessity, especially since my combination skin develops eczema when dry. A dot or two of this is enough to keep my entire face moisturizer and dewy in appearance. If I do happen to use too much, it’s easy to blot with a paper towel. In the summer, the product is great because I’ll forgo foundation or bb cream and just use this.

WATER: A no brainer but this is so important for good skin. I love to use the H2OPAL App to keep track of my intake. It also calculates how much you need based on temperature, age, weight and height which cuts out a lot of guesswork for you. It also will calculate how much you should drink by certain parts of the day. HYDRATE.😊

HOW I FIND POT’S ON TINDER (AND BUMBLE)

Alright, I’ve gotten a lot of questions about my luck on Tinder so here is what I do to attract wealthier men on Tinder.

PHOTOS

have 5 photos on my profile, 2 being well lit face shots of me wearing natural or minimalistic amounts of makeup. the amount to wear is completely up to you but I prefer to keep it fresh faced. the other 3 of my photos are full body pictures of me wearing various outfits in different locations. The first is of me at a more formal event, wearing a little black dress and heels; you can clearly see the fancy venue behind me. Second picture is on the terrace of a hotel room, I’m in a bikini facing away from the camera and looking at the sunset in the back round. Last photo is me in Bora Bora, sitting under a fern tree in a bikini, looking at straight at the camera and smiling.

I used these photos in particular because as a whole, they display the lifestyle I’m accustomed to living, and therefore attracts people who are capable and willing tp uphold and expand that lifestyle, but I know what you’re thinking

BUT I DONT HAVE PICS OF ME AT FANCY EVENTS AND EXOTIC LOCATIONS? HOW WILL I STILL CONVEY THE SAME MESSAGE?

my answer is; fake that shit girl

get dressed up, find a plain wall or a wall with nice décor on it, and have someone take photos of you, if you’re ever anywhere with a nice view, have someone take a photo with the view in the back (try not to get any unwanted stragglers in the back)

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT UPLOAD SELFIES USING THOSE FUCKING SNAPCHAT FILTERS! (this goes for SA too)

I have been on so many POT dates where men have flat out told me that the reason they liked my profile so much is because of the complete lack of snapchat filter bullshit, newsflash sweetheart, they want to see your actual face. not you as a dog, not you with silver eyes and a flower crown, and not you in some weird greenish filter that contours your face and blurs your crowsfeet. That shit might be cute if you’re looking for an unemployed, basement dwelling 22 year old, but not when you’re trying to attract a successful business man.

STOP IT

TINDER BIO

you guys are about to be extremely disappointed……

I keep it minimal

first of all I NEVER EVER EVER put the phrase “sugar baby” or “sugar daddy” in my bio, I don’t know I personally find it tacky. I also don’t say anything about wanting something “mutually beneficial” because I let my photos do the talking. I stick to 4 simple little bullet points saying that I’m well traveled, a  fine wine and sushi enthusiast , and how many counties I visited in 2016 (this can easily be substituted by something else that’s more personally fitted) and then at the bottom a simple “Show me the rest of the world?” BOOM I immediately have an inbox weeded of salts (they’ll still appear though, but I’m positive that my profile does shoo some of them away) and instead I’m left with potential daddies and splendas.

THE ART OF SWIPING RIGHT

I look for men, who have similar profiles as my own;

- well dressed

- exotic/expensive location

-well groomed

-well spoken

-traveler

I know some men have their jobs in the description of their profiles, I sway towards CEO’s and entrepreneurs (they could be lying so don’t get your hopes too high)

as for my age range, mine goes from 36 to 55+, most POT are over the age of 40 but I shaved a few years off because I’ve seen that some men in their 40′s will lie and say they’re 37-39
