black people wake up

MY RESPONSE TO THIS EXTREME LEVEL OF COONING STARTS WITH JAMES BALDWIN AND TUPAC:

one of the great things about humanity is that the past continue in with us. we do not operate in a vacuum. no one alive today is operating in a pocket of time and space with no connection to the past. no one. so groups that have been oppressed and denied their basic humanity do not simply feel the injustice of the day in their experience, they feel the continual injustice of society towards their group(s) through the knowledge that said injustice has been happening for decades if not centuries.

black people and women (but specifically black women) should NOT be in a “i’m going to be patient with people” mode ANYMORE. it’s been centuries of oppression. oppression passed on from generation to generation to generation. centuries of black people and women (but specifically black women) being shitted on and centuries of tactics to shit on black people and women (but specifically black women) being passed on to another generation to continue the shitting. the results of which being self hatred, internalized racism, destroyed communities, brainwashed people who think their own race is base, families ripped apart and more.

fuck all this patient bullshit. clap the fuck back! and if a white person or a man ain’t about waking up, fuck them and run them over. we can not afford to continue to lose generations of black people and women (but specifically black women) waiting on motherfuckas to wake up when we everyday see motherfuckas WILLFULLY stay sleep thus allowing the harm to peope to continue. let me say that again.

WE CAN NOT AFFORD TO LOSE ANOTHER GENERATION OF  BLACK PEOPLE AND WOMEN (BUT SPECIFICALLY BLACK WOMEN) HOPING WHITE PEOPLE AND MEN WILL TREAT THEIR FELLOW HUMANS BETTER. WE CAN NOT AND SHOULD NOT!

if a motherfucka is going to parade around here in blackface, fuck his shit up! if a motherfucka is going to throw out rape threats because he doesn’t like a woman’s opinion, fuck his shit up! if a motherfucka is going to self hate his on black sistas, lay his ass down! the time for peaceful patient negotiation is been pass. fuck all that.

and before you give me some bullshit about violence, remember:

Any situation in which “A” objectively exploits “B” or hinders his and her pursuit of self-affirmation as a responsible person is one of oppression. Such a situation in itself constitutes violence, even when sweetened by false generosity, because it interferes with the individual’s ontological and historical vocations to become more fully human. With the establishment of a relationship of oppression, violence has already begun. Never in history has violence been initiated by the oppressed.

Violence is initiated by those who oppress, who exploit, who fail to recognize others and persons—not by those who are oppressed, exploited, and unrecognized. It is not the unloved who initiate disaffection, but those who cannot love because they love only themselves. It is not the helpless, subject to terror, who initiate terror, but the violent, who with their power create the concrete situation which begets the “rejects of life.” It is not the tyrannized who initiate despotism, but the tyrants. It is not the despised who initiate hatred, but those who despise. It is not those whose humanity is denied them who negate humankind, but those who deny that humanity (thus negating their own as well).

— Paulo Freire, Pedagogy of the Oppressed

people are mad and angry not just for shits and giggles but because that anger is justified and earned through abuse from oppressors. fuck all this patient shit. change must be demanded from oppressors and demanding shit makes people uncomfortable. change is uncomfortable. however discomfort does not even come close to what oppression looks and feels like everyday. so be aggressive. passivity is what the enemy is banking on. our unwillingness to get our hands dirty, make some fucking enemies, push the envelop, shake people out of their comfort zone and be demanding is what they are hoping we do because that allows their evil ways to become even more entrenched and to “low key” convert more people to their dark side.

stop with this bullshit about making enemies. “you have enemies? good. that means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.” ― winston s. churchill. go out there and make some meaningful enemies. not everyone is supposed to like you so go out there and fight for a good cause and least make an enemy for a good fucking reason.

smfh, there’s always somebody who wants to give evil a second chance. always. lives have been and are being lost but always with this “be patient” fuckery. smfh. this is the most insulting coonage i’ve seen in a while.

The Problems with Black People

The problem is that people want to turn things around using methods that have not worked, and will not work. We want so bad to just integrate into the mindset, ideas, and customs of the societies we find ourselves living in. But it is not that simple. That should be apparent by now.

Pundits babbling all day will not change anything. The popular “leaders” are not going to change anything. Voting is not going to change anything. Marching is not going to change anything. Lying on the ground like an idiot pretending you are dead is not going to change a darn thing.

Do you need another 100 years of repeating the same things in order for it to click that we will still be in the same situation if we use these same methods?

Our current situation is PROPHECY. It is not by chance, it is happening for a reason. And until we understand that and do what we have to do, things are not going to work in our favor.

Why don’t black people come together? Why do the men leave their children? Why don’t black men uplift black women?

So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: Deut 28:54

Why are so many women the head of the household? Why are the kids out of control?

As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths. Isaiah 3:12

Why do black women have issues with their hair?

Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts. Isaiah 3:16-17

Why are we being killed left and right and seeing no justice?

Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter; Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not. Zechariah 11:4-5

And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you. Leviticus 26:17

What can we do to make it stop?

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations. Ezekiel 14:6

If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land Lev 26: 40-42

My people, you are the House of Israel. Wake up.

And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
Deuteronomy 28:64

And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
Deuteronomy 4:27

A Brief History of the Erasure of Hip-Hop, Rock N Roll and Black Music Through Anti-Blackness

This is a response to an Anonymous comment. I’m glad to see other black people noticing that we are losing Hip Hop music and culture to non-black people just like we did with Rock & Roll. For those who don’t know, when black people started Rock & Roll, white people did everything they can to block it’s radio play and success to ruin black artists and the music genre as a whole. They used to also categorize the music as negative and uncivilized, sounds familiar doesn’t it? That’s what plenty of them say about Hip Hop as well. The thing is, deep down a lot of white people enjoyed the music and it actually played a part in the civil rights movement because black people along with some white people were rallying for it to play on the radio and for the concerts to not be racially segregated (See Ray Charles, James Brown). But here’s some other deep things to know about it: 1) As a way to appease white listeners who wanted to hear Rock & Roll on the radio, music companies would use white singers to sing over the original songs by black artists and that would be the version played on the radio (See Little Richard’s Tutti Frutti, + his thoughts on Pat Boone doing it over w/ success). 2) Black artists had no say over white people doing over their songs. 3) White artists got paid way more than these black artists, even when most of them played a key role in writing and producing their own music. 4) This led to white artists getting the acclaim, praise, attention and credit for a genre that wasn’t even there’s. Keep in mind that Elvis Presley is regarded as “The King of Rock N Roll” when he himself was inspired by black music/artists and plenty before him made the genre what is today. All of this led to black people losing Rock & Roll and many white people will claim older white rockers as the “innovators and pioneers” of a genre created by black people. Many today also don’t know it was created by black people (Which says A LOT). But over time black artists themselves gave up on the genre which is just sad; they allowed white artists to knock them out under the guise of “it’s just music”. This is why Jimi Hendrix got the praise he did, because he was literally one of the last black rockers and made such an impact in a short mainstream career that lasted for only 4 years. Well today the same is happening with Hip-Hop. Too many black people are welcoming non-black people with open arms to a genre that has been inspired by our pain and struggle. Today many non-black people have no problem stripping and re-telling the history of Hip Hop, and they do it by stripping it’s blackness. (See Ben Baller, See “We Real Cool?: On Hip Hop, Asian-Americans, Black Folks, and Appropriation” By Kenyon Farrow c.2004) <— a piece of this was reblogged here btw*. Also never forget how when Eminem stepped on the scene, white people went out of their way to claim Eminem as “the Greatest Rapper Alive” even when a lot of them didn’t even care to listen to the majority of rappers, whom are black, simply because they are black. They also like to claim we only rap about sex, drugs and violence (to discredit us) when many non-black rappers do the same (See anti-black K-Pop/K-Hip Hop fans :) … The reason why this is so important to me and SHOULD be important to ALL of us who are BLACK (even if you don’t like Hip Hop) is for the fact that everything we do, own, and create is never respected. Everything we have never belong to us, and white people AND non-black POC have no problem reiterating that to us. Everything we create is hit with “It’s for everyone.” Our culture has become a universal grab all. That’s why the appropriation of black culture is treated as a joke while appropriation of other cultures is taken much more seriously. To make matters worse, these are the same people who hate us and do all they can to maintain a false sense of superiority over black people all while taking from us. It’s to push this idea that Non-black people can do everything we do and “better”… With that being said other groups are starting to claim they either “Created”, “Innovated” or “Pioneered” Hip Hop & Rap. (See Ben Baller, again). It’s at the point where I feel like they can actually go and claim such ignorance because many will co-sign the erasure of black peoples’ creations… Including cooning ass black people.. For the love of God I wish they wouldn’t speak. For example, I Saw a Greek dude on YT try to claim Greeks created rap… Got in an argument with a Mexican dude who tried to claim that Mexicans did rap before black people and we “stole” the credit because we speak English… Got into an argument with an Asian dude over black appropriation, our naturally kinky or “nappy” hair and the N word… I am begging my fellow black people to wake up! I am a 21 year old woman who loves my culture and blackness and I REFUSE to allow this nonsense! Stop begging for the acceptance of non-black people by way of erasing your own! Know your history, don’t allow them to rewrite it for you.

TEYANA B*TCH YOU BETTER FUCK IT UP!!!!

If this video doesn’t get you hype or put a smile on your face seek help

Sorry, school is not teaching your 6 year old how to deal with racism. By throwing them to wolves you are teaching them to accept being a second class citizen. You are encouraging them to accept anti-black rhetoric as normal.

It doesn’t matter if it is not directly stated, kids fill in the blanks with the help of deceptive seeds being planted.

If you want to teach your kids anything, then you actually have to TEACH THEM.

melanin-magic-and-matriarchy  asked:

Do you feel the tide is turning and more people are waking up to the unique beauty of black women ?

Little by little I’d say yes. With every new day the tide for everyone FINALLY waking up and appreciating black women’s unique beauty is slowly but surely underway. We still have a long ways to go but it’s a damn good place start now.

This is not a trick post or a cleverly worded post. This is because I want different perspectives than mine, because I have slightly warped aliefs and beliefs concerning these things.

I’d like to ask what people on Tumblr think about this statement-

“Everyone who has not made a particular effort not to be racist is racist. Because [specific girl who is white who the speaker doesn’t know well] hasn’t ever been exposed to antiracism, she’s inherently going to be racist.”

And then how about this statement-

“Every day I wake up feeling outraged at the way that black people and black bodies are treated in this society.”

I am particularly interested in whether this is a normal state of affairs for black people in general. I am most interested in how other people who have similar feelings have dealt with and assimilated these feelings in a healthy, non-toxic way.

And then this statement-

“It’s impossible for you to empathize and relate to the world the way that I see it, as a black woman.”

Are they true, are they false, are they technically true but kind of inaccurate nonetheless, or so on?
