black and white studio

A shoot in the studio last weekend with Portland musician Daniel Gardner, who is soon to release his first full album. It’s not often I get to shoot in the studio like this, but it was a fun opportunity to play. Daniel came in with the idea of affixing roses to his body, and I wanted him to channel some rock icons, perhaps a la Steven Tyler–the result were these black-and-white grainy shots that feel like a throwback to vintage 70s rock and roll.
