this was a fun little project that took up a few afternoons, but it was super duper fun too!!
I wanted to do some redesigns of the au, underfell because the popular ones just aren’t that creative?? its mostly the original characters but red, black, gold and spiky,, so I raise you a revised version, and I wanted to tweak the main premise too!
(Hope you don't mind the random questions, I like hearing your opinion and I thought it'd be nice to get way from some of the people who are being unnecessarily harsh re: your thoughts on J/K) What have been some of your fave tour outfits of Taylor's?
this iconic fringe situation
and this sparkly lil number where she probably should’ve been wearing a bra and never did
and this PURPLE SITUATION
moving onto speak now. has there ever bee na more iconic dress ever? i think not.
and this ballgown that was so soft™

i feel like this black on black situation was special but highly underrated

this badass black bodysuit situation! step on my face!
and of course, to conclude, the iconic blue shake it off outfit.
Admin Ikki here saying, Yeah, I own all these. I’m a crazy person, Shimejis here are sorted in alphabetical order! Any problems with names is because I haven’t seen like half of these animes please forgive me! :c
Currently ShimejiResource does not own any of these shimejis, they all belong to their own creators who worked hard and did a great job on all of them, we do not claim credit for any of these!
I’ve been wanting something a little smaller than the “This is an exalting lair”
graphic that everyone has been using in their clan profiles. I decided
to make one today…and then since it was so easy to change the colors,
I got a little carried away. I ended up making some to match flight colors and some extra black and white, gold, and rainbow versions. Feel free to use them if you like. (These are 206 x 21)
This little silver kelpie is a grumpy fish You can order your own here!
Kelpies are a mythogical creature I have been fascinated with, a subject matter i love to come back to again and again. I live in the Highlands of Scotland where most of the myth and lore surrounding kelpies is utterly believable. Remote mountain lochans and forboeding sea lochs definitely have a sense of the unreal about them. My final year project at university used Scottish mythology as a theme and also involved kelpies - I just love them.
Kelpies live in lochs and take the form of beautiful horses standing at the shore. When an unfortunate traveler sees the horse and is compelled to touch it, he will find the horses skin becomes like glue and he is stuck fast. The kelpie then dives into the water to drown its victim and devour it…
This guy is more of an Each Uisge, a slightly more evil version of a kelpie. Each Uisges live in sea lochs (I live next to a sea loch called Loch Fleet) and as well as turning into a horse they can also turn into a handsome man. That’s why I chose a more human-like eye to paint on these guys, to give them that otherworldly edge…
The fins are cast in silicone which is slightly translucent and flexible. Faolan Glas’s also glow in the dark! He’s a little bioluminescent miscreant. The seaweed in his mane has also been cast in silicone.
The bits of seaglass and shells were provided by the commissioner and added at her request - the barnacles are cast in resin from a mussel shell I found next to my sea loch. I painted them with acrylics - they came out amazing, I’m so pleased with them!
The speckles on the body weren’t actually originally part of the plan but when I walk by Loch Fleet there are often harbour seals about. They have grey speckledy bodies which kind of remind me of flat lichen on stones by the shore…
Faolan Glas means little silver fish in gaelic - which would explain why he’s so grumpy… I’ll bet he doesn’t like that nickname given to him by the bigger kelpies…!
I had so much fun with this commission, and Manjula is a really fantastic and lovely person. Faolan Glas has an excellent new home!
The great news is that you can order your own kelpie from my etsy shop - I am only offering a few up for sale initially because I have to prioritise getting the crystal stags finished for kickstarter backers. The black version has already sold, but you can buy the gold artists proof kelpie, one similar to Faolan Glas or customise your own.
While trying to look for more stuff on Thermozero, I found an old page from the 1940 version of Land of Black Gold. In this version, Tintin is tied up (likely by Mueller after he knocks him out) and completely defenseless against the coming sandstorm–and christ it is terrifying.
I'm brand new in cosplay & your page has been so helpful!☺️ I am working on a Black Widow cosplay. Newer version, not comic book version with gold belt/bracelets. The first time I cosplayed her I had to order a bodysuit online. Those are really thin material. But the way the black widow suit looks in the Avengers is a thicker tougher material. What material is that so I could make it? Or who does good work that I could special order from if I mess it up trying to make one my own (lame I know)?
I would definitely check out some other Black Widow cosplayers and if I felt they had a good fabric choice I would ask them what materials they used. You could also expand this search to other super hero costumes, since many of the movie costumes use similar looking fabrics!
This is a picture of her costume in Age of Ultron:
The side bodice panels and shoulders look to be leather while the rest of the suit looks to be kevlar. I would suggest looking for some sort of fabric with a similar basketweave pattern. Though in this interview, Judianna Makovsky (the designer of Captain America’s costume in Winter Soldier) talked about using a printed knit fabric for a similar looking pattern. So if you can’t find something that has the same appearance you can attempt to fake it :)
In her regular avengers outfit:
It looks like a nylon or spandex mesh over another fabric.
Unfortunately I don’t know of any commissioners, but you could probably find some by googling or finding a local cosplay community (facebook group / forum) and asking there :)
