Why is Flug only gay in Spanish

Flug in English: Sir/Boss

Flug in Spanish: Jefe (boss)/Señor (sir)/Señorón Black Hat (Sir+augmentative suffix, to make it bigger, like big sir)/Jefecito (little boss or bossy)/Jefe Chulo (handsome boss)

More fan art! This is my fan art blog (mostly) after all… Well, have you seen Villainous? What do you think? I’m pretty proud it’s Mexican (I’m not Mexican btw I’m Latinoamerican - Chile if you wanna be specific) and I hope it will become more popular when it airs on Cartoon Network LA.

So, Dr Flug! I think it’s my favourite character so far. I like shy cuties and masked people plus he has to be smart to create that stuff so he’s pretty much perfect. I dressed him as Black Hat because I like his outfit haha. Pretty sure BH is gonna be angry about it.

I have an excuse to write in Spanish as well! He says: do you think I look good? Yes, yes, of course.

Anyways thanks for the support people! Soon I will install a Ko-fi button!

So what better time than on Valentines Day to subject you poor followers to more oc ships with artist friends, I guess???

This one is with good artist friend and inspiration, @bulumble-bee! Her bottom-heavy barista, named Mizuki, is paired with what sorta used to be a minor char in one of my stories but now is sorta floating around in the space between actual casts? (Like so many others). His name’s Felix Vargas, and he’s a free-lance painter. While Mizuki’s Japanese, Felix is Spanish in terms of heritage and channels that culture through his hobby of cooking that he does for her often, as evidenced in the picture below.

I had way more fun drawing that Pallea that Felix is holding than I should have. Food is really fun to draw and color, and I should do it waaaaaay more often…

The Meaning of Jefecito

If you don’t think Flug is close Black Hat may I tell you that Flug calls Black Hat “Jefecito” and that literally means “Little Boss” and that is a term of endearment because to call him “Boss” it would be “Jefe”.

So that leads to at least 2 conclusions

  1. Flug likes Black Hat, he may be scared of him, but they are on good enough terms for Flug to give him a nickname. (plausible as Flug doesn’t think BH is the most evil thing in the world) OR
  2. Black Hat personally asked for Flug to call him jefecito.

Then again, my spanish is really poor and I’m american AND I have cuban heritage so it might not be a term of endearment in Mexico! Feel free to add to this post, but I just wanted to put this on here.
