As writers we spend most days alone in our writing rituals, oftentimes in obscurity, emerging when we to, not because we have to. For me that process oscillates between gym time (circulating blood and breath), nature prancing, meditation, skyping here and there, dancing and delighting with the charming lover, traveling and adventuring, playing with recipes, diving in sea baths, feeding my desires with bio ice cream, staring into space; or making fresh juice; writing soulfully is the only constant. When I’m really cummin’ out from inside myself, the processes are a bit more quiet and personal, extolling the benefits of being a spiritual, multi-dimensional, metaphysical entity having a luscious human experience. Think: fairy.

My writing mushrooms out of an aura of pleasure, triumph, transcendence, transformation, and mystery ….maybe a bit of innocence and softness cushioning the chapters, whispering to the reader ‘where ever you are within this moment is worthy of celebration.’ Never is the process easy to explain to others, how does one explain a heart-centered offering carved out of bones split between a very young person (a temptress, sorceress, curious, magical, gender-fluid person) and an old, keen, nature-oriented, wise, wild, no-nonsense woman. At 40 years old I easily unveil as a 6 year old or 135 year old without cause for worry or concern. Very ancient and recent downloads that haunt my dreams by waking me up at odd hours thinking about love, commanding me to scribble messages in the dark….only made visible in the light (of morning). Collages of messy post-it notes, writing between cultures and climates, moaning my satisfaction to the sky or trees.  Some days the flow is incrementally slow and other days, potent and immeasurable. Oscar Wilde spoke about spending the whole morning putting in a comma and the entire afternoon taking it out. Ha, I love that so much!! Couple that with listening to various genres of music from Spanish, to African,  house, Bjork, Willow Smith (don’t judge me), Nicki Minaj ass claps, howls and squeals from my own throat, and wild, spontaneous sprints around the block to amplify my fire.  Today I put on my handmade crown, perched on the stairs that I call “stars,” and continued to wait for the final paragraph to arrive within me. A little over 8 months birth soon without an epidural. I live to feel. Actually the capacity to feel is a high-harmony charge and swelling potency.  One loveliness, India Ame’ye

The Best Places To Go To In A Zombie Apocalypse

I’ll be honest, there’s never going to be a safe place that’s perfect in a apocalypse. No matter how many times I’ve tried to find a place that sounds perfect there’s always going to be problems with it. So keep in mind that the places I list aren’t going to be absolutely prefect and it really depends on many factors. Such as where it’s located, the type of zombies you’re dealing with, the skills you need in order to survive in such a location, the unpredictable weather/mother nature and if it hasn’t already been taken over by zombies (or other survivors – who may or may not be nice).

In no particular order these places are ideal for survival, some of them are even great for long-term survival. But the key for them being good places is how isolated they are, how self-sustain they are might be and if they have a strong structure and walls for any possible attacks.
