Bi-Updates: Celebrate Bisexuality Day & Bi Men's Book Reading event. September 26, 2014 [Boston, MA, USA]

Gwendolyn Henry received an Unsung Hero Award by the Bisexual Resource Center in recognition of outstanding work for the bisexual community, in particular for the founding of the Bi Women of Color and Bi People of Color social and support groups.

Julia Canfield also received an Unsung Hero Award for creating and organizing Bisexual Health Awareness Month. http://www.biresource.net/bihealthmonthlinks.shtml

**To protect privacy we were unable to share photos of the Bi Women of Color that were in attendance. Hopefully one day when the world is safer and Biphobia/Homophobia free, when the mentality of “Why they put their business out like that” has ended, more Bi people of color can feel safer and confident to be publicly out.**

Also during the Celebrate Bisexuality Day & Bi Men’s Book Reading event, 5 authors, 2 of which were self ID People of Color, read selections from “Recognize: The Voices of Bisexual Men.” This book is co-edited by Robyn Ochs and Dr. Heru Khuti.
