“Gods” [Amiga] [GB]
The game employs a variable AI that increases or decreases in severity dependent on how well the player is performing. Playing badly will cause less enemies to appear and more bonuses to be awarded, while surviving for a long time might increase enemy aggression to compensate.

here’s the “Gods” guy again, now with animated highlight shimmer (you could say i was “”“"inspired”“”“ by noirlac, but that’d just be a charitable way of saying i ripped him off)

The Bitmap Brothers’ classic steampunk shoot ‘em up, The Chaos Engine.

Way back in 1997 I did some concept designs for the Bitmap Brothers sequel to the real time strategy game “Z”… or “Z2” as it was known. Eric asked me to do some ideas to differentiate the new characters more. To say it was an honor doing work for one of my favorite developers is an understatement. I don’t what made it into the final game if anything - they were just meant to be ideas to kick things off.
I did six designs all up but here are the Psycho, Laser and Sniper. The Laser is still one of my favorite designs I’ve ever done. I’ve actually got a early 3D model test video somewhere on a hard drive here.

ONLY THE HOPE OF THE HERO’S FAILURE COMFORTS THEM.
another animated/transparent amiga gif by me. this one’s a death animation from Gods by the Bitmap Brothers. it came out a little artefacty from the video capture but uuuuuuuuuuughhh maybe i’ll clean it up later
