Elvis Presley Birthday Card Signed And Given To His Girlfriend Linda Thompson (circa early 1970s). The card showing an illustration of a butterfly to the front titled “For Someone Very Special”, with printed poem and dedication in blue ink in Elvis’ hand “I love you fatty / Sincerely / Gullion”. The card is accompanied by a blue envelope, addressed in blue ink “To Ariadne”. Card measures 6.5" x 9.5". COAs from Heritage Auctions and Linda Thompson
In her COA Linda Thompson recalls “Elvis and I spoke to each other almost exclusively in baby talk. Elvis rarely called me by my given name, but much preferred to refer to me in funny, loving terms. I was very thin, so one of his favorite names to call me was "Fatty”! He also called me mommy, Ariadne, and many other terms of endearment. I called him Buntyn, Gullion, Butch, and other silly names. This rare inscription from Elvis to me on my birthday, demonstrates his adorable loving nature and wonderful sense of humor.“
Mom’s birthday present for me turned out to be a bit disappointing because it was too big, but I got a much better and very exciting present: Friends Tito, Nico, Joa, and their humom @anne-fine sent me the most amazing surprise birthday package!!
It is the most beautiful package I have ever seen, filled with so many wonderful goodies: An adorable, festive birthday card; the cutest, happiest little turtle friends; and a beautiful lucky charm with the tastiest-looking beads! My new turtle friends are super friendly and didn’t get at all upset when I tried to nom them (but Mom said I was very rude to do that). Once I realized they were not noms, they took turns riding on my shell while I showed them around! Then Mom put my tenpai friends in a place of honor where we can see them everyday, and hung our new lucky charm above my home so I won’t get sick again!
@anne-fine left no detail overlooked: Even the box my presents came in was decorated with happy turtles!
Last but not least, the box was filled with the most delicious pink packing fluff! I had so much fun digging in the pink stuff and tasting it!
Thank you so much, @anne-fine, for such a lovely surprise!!! We absolutely love my presents, and we are so happy and excited whenever we look at them! Thank you for being such wonderful friends! ❤️❤️❤️🐢🐢🐢🐦
Please fire me. I work at a greeting card store and found myself in the receiving end of lots of yelling and an official complaint from a customer that could not deal with the fact that we didn’t have any “Happy Birthday Nana” cards.
We only had “Happy Birthday Grandma/Gran/Nan/Grandmother/Granny” and that was unacceptable.
Happy Birthday @trashasaurusrex! I thought I should do a small Birthday card or something along the lines of that, using the sketches I colored in (including new ones!) Keep doing what you’re doing! :)
Sorry, I rarely post anything these days, but I had to share this with the other Lego Batman Movie fans out there ! These are from an adorable birthday card that my awesome sister made for me, because she knows how much I loved the movie and especially these two.
I left the text out, but basically, it said, “Age doesn’t matter when you got something special ! Growing older is never fun, but it’s more about who you grow older with, and there’s something really great about knowing that some things will never change.” I mean, how sweet a gift is that ? ^_^
