biology a guide to the natural world

Beyond work and love, I would add two other ingredients that give meaning to life. First, to fulfil whatever talents we are born with. However blessed we are by fate with different abilities and strengths, we should try to develop them to the fullest, rather than allow them to atrophy and decay.… Second, we should try to leave the world a better place than when we entered it. As individuals, we can make a difference, whether it is to probe the secrets of Nature, to clean up the environment and work for peace and social justice, or to nurture the inquisitive, vibrant spirit of the young by being a mentor and a guide.

I had to pleasure of working with @arvensis5 and @plumadesatada on their @frostironbang entry Of Hormones and Tinfoil Hats

If you’re into emotional idiots pining for each other go read it as soon as it’s up!

Tony could smell Loki from inside the suit, from thirty feet away. For all he walked and talked like an Alpha, right now his scent was one of distress. So much for Thor’s assurances that Asgard had no such things as alphas and omegas…

(Or: the one where Tony is an Alpha in an omegaverse, and Loki is a Guide in a land of Sentinels, and their nature-related biologies are not quite compatible).

I ended up making a few articles, gifs, scientific-type papers and a mock-magazine interview for the world building elements, all condensed into the above photoset. Full view versions can be found here and here and here
