You were stood at the bow of the ship, arms folded tightly
across your chest as the spray from the waves below hit your face. It was cold
at this part of the ship, even though the sun was blazing down and the beach
could be made out in front of you. The crew were readying the boats, the vote
or as much as there had been one was over and they were free to enjoy the rest
of their time on land.
You were trying to avoid your own inevitable journey back
ashore. After all the longer you stayed on the Walrus the longer you put off
having to talk to Vane. Vane you knew would most likely be parked on the beach
with a telescope planted to his face as he awaited the news that Singleton was
now Captain and Flint was gone.
“Y/N you’re up” Billy stood behind you, arms crossed over
his broad chest. There was a look on his face that you didn’t like. It looked ominously
“Billy what you did for the Captain today… why did you do
“I didn’t do anything” he said instantly, eyes flicking back
and forth around the ship, refusing to meet your own anymore.
“You lied about that page Billy and I know you did” you
watched as Billy squirmed like a guilty child “Singleton didn’t steal anything,
and that page Flint gave you was blank”
Billy stopped squirming looking at you in confusion, when it
cleared he marched over grabbing your shoulders in a tight grip “What do you
“About the log?” he nodded “I know why it’s so important to
Flint. I know what should have been on it and so can you. If you do me one
Billy’s expression changed to caution as his grip on your
shoulders loosened “this is going to get me in trouble isn’t it?”
“Not necessarily” you hedged but Billy didn’t look like he
“Vane or Flint?”
You smiled in what you hoped was a charming manner “Both”
“Both?” Billy squeaked looking horrified. “Y/N I can’t. Both
of them? They’ll kill me”
“So you don’t want to know then” you turned around to stare
back out over the bow of the ship “Disappointing”
Billy cursed from behind you muttering under his breath for
a moment before saying “What do you want?”
You smirked to yourself briefly before turning around with
an innocent expression on your face “what about Vane and Flint?”
“What do you want Y/N?”
“I need to get off this ship unseen. Flint wants me to talk
to Vane and let’s just say… I’d rather do anything but”
“So get you off this ship then what? You’re not exactly
unknown in Nassau Y/N”
You shook your head “leave that to me Billy. Just get me off
“And the page?”
“Meet me tomorrow night at the southern side beach”
Billy thought about it for what seemed like forever before
swearing and motioning for you to follow him. Strangely no one seemed to notice
the tallest man and only woman aboard as they slipped below decks to the crew
quarters. Billy rummaged through a chest in the corner throwing a half clean
shirt and pair of short trousers to you. You quickly stripped off your blood
covered clothes and put on the ones Billy had passed you, meanwhile Billy tried
his hardest not to watch you. A hat was next and a large oiled coat that
covered the curves of your body. With Billy dragging you forward you somehow
both got on a boat with Billy at the oars rowing hard.
From the ship above you could hear Flint shouting at Gates to find you and get you in front of him right now. He was not going to be happy when he realised you’d run.
“Thank you Billy” you whispered pushing the brim of the hat
up to look at him. “You’ve rescued me more than you know today”
“From Vane and Flint” he repeated “the two people on this
island least likely to hurt a hair on your head”
“Careful Billy” you warned “that was almost sarcastic”
Billy just grunted in a manner that reminded you too much of
Vane. He moored the boat as close to the dock as possible. Grabbing your upper
arm and hauling you up and out of the small boat onto the dock.
You’d been right Vane had been waiting because he was at the
bottom of the dock looking furious as Ratham whispered urgently in his ear.
“Shit” you pulled the brim of the hat back down again
shading your face and Billy echoed your curse.
“There’s no way I’m getting you passed him” Billy turned to
block you from Vane’s eyes with his own body “No coat or hat is going to disguise you from him, he’d know you blindfolded”
“Coward” you hissed as Billy simply ignoring your words yanked the
hat from your head letting your long hair spill back down your back. “You’re a coward
“No Y/N I’m simply not suicidal. You know what he’d do to me
if I tried to sneak you past him. Coat” he held his hand out for the coat you
were wearing. You scowled at him and crossed your arms over your chest. “Give. me. the coat. Y/N.”
“No” you stated bluntly digging your heels in like a child
as Billy scowled down at you. He was about to open his mouth to speak again
when another voice broke in.
“Give him the coat darling” Billy paled to a sickly green
colour as Charles Vane appeared next to them both. “Hello pet” he snarled
looking at you stood on the dock scowling up at him. Unable to let Billy take
any of the blame you reluctantly took off the coat handing it over to him.
Vane didn’t wait any longer taking a tight grasp of your
upper arm and marching you down the dock towards the parade of tents along the
beach of Nassau. You knew exactly where you were going, had been there to many
times to even count before. You also knew too much about Vane to think digging
your heels in and refusing to move was going to help. All that would achieve would
be you thrown over his shoulder being carried to the tent. So you went without
Vane practically threw you into the gaudy tent he called his
own when on Nassau. You spun around to watch him come through the entrance eyes
fully focused on your own.
“Well now pet, I think me and you have to have a little chat heh?”
I had the great pleasure and nearly unbelievable opportunity to go see David Tennant tonight, for free, as part of the Screen Actors Guild Conversations on Broadway series. All credit and love must go to @fomagranfalloon, who told me about the event in the first place. I was so excited, but kept thinking that something was going to fall through or that it was all a crazy dream…
In the front row. For two hours.
Below the cut is a collection of what I was able to remember on my subway ride home, but ask me questions to jog my memory! I can probably remember more!
Jo was excited. This was the first time in years she’d left town, and first time she’d taken more than two days off in a row since Billie had been a baby. Even though this wasn’t a trip to some exotic beach, it was a trip to visit her boyfriend for a few days, and a part of her felt a little bit like a giddy schoolgirl. Not that she’d ever admit that.
As they approached the bunker, Jo looked into the backseat, smiling as she saw Billie happily asleep in her car seat. This was the girl’s first long carride, and she was glad to see her daughter had fallen asleep. That was a good sign for future roadtrips, and also meant she wouldn’t be grouchy when in the bunker.
In no time at all, Jo was following the instruction’s Dean had given her to pull into the large garage of the bunker. Her eyes going wide as she passed a few of the cars to find an empty spot. Climbing out of the truck, she couldn’t help but stare at the line of vintage cars. “Wow, Dean, you weren’t kidding when you said you had a collection,” she said with a laugh, moving to greet her boyfriend, her arms snaking around his neck as she pulled him down for a deep kiss.

8 guys, 8 different personalities, 8 different voices, 8 different bands, 8 different faces of rock. They give/used to give me eargasms every time I listen[ed] to the music they create with their bands. Each of them enchanted me with his voice at some point of my life. I’m aware that some of them are criticised/play worse music now, but… I don’t care, they had a huge impact on my music taste.

Wishing a very happy 47th birthday to this amazing actor and musician Billy Boyd!
♥ Still dreaming of meeting him and some day I will, that’s for sure! :-)
