Last week, on our national holiday, we organized a fixed gear criterium.
We called it ‘crit flamand’ because we knew it was going to be a typical Flemish scenery. Beers, ‘braadworsten, bad music and some old people. We got the chance from a local racebike-organisation to enter their event with a fixed gear division. They, and we to, where pretty amazed by the 41,6 average speed of the winner: Brian Megens. Also attending where Fish, Justus Erler, and off course our local here Tonnie. All the way from Mexico, on there way to the messenger championships in Paris, Omar and his girlfriend topped of the International line-up.
After a good race, we grabbed some beers and went to the lake for a swim. Very good vibes, we would love to see this event grow in the future.
Please join us in Oudenburg/Ostend on September 11th.
Raced in the Road Rash 22k today and came in 6th. I was the only girl to compete again. Here’s @lowbicycles newest rider, @storts of @bicyclecoffee. Though he’s no stranger to the fixed gear crit scene, here’s his debut race for Low at the @wolfpackhustle Shortline Crit qualifiers. A solid racer & a solid dude!
