concept: 8:49am, me sitting at my dining table in my underwear with a bowl of my favorite cereal, the windows pushed open for a breeze, and sunlight peaking out between the blinds; all the while i’m content with my current situation and life
When writing a blind character, what are some things to avoid?
Ah! So this is definitely a bit of a broad question, but I can give a few basics:
Blind people don’t actually give a shit about touching faces, so please, please stear clear of that. The only exceptions may be the same way sighted lovers may caress each other’s faces and parents may hold a child’s face in an emotional moment, but it’s just like a sighted lover or parent would, nothing more.
Please avoid giving your character a cure. One of the most crushing things as a disabled reader is to finally have a disabled character, but for them to end up with a fantastic magic cure half-way through. It rarely makes for a good story, and often a much better story is that person’s journey in understanding themselves as equal and learning that they aren’t broken and useless and can do whatever they want, overcoming internalized ableism rather than “overcoming the disability.”
Few blind people actually wear sunglasses or eye coverings, so your character probably won’t either if the likelyhood says anything. Chances are they will not be part of that minority, so probably better not to do that.
Something similar can be said for characters with white or cloudy eyes. The vast majority of blind people will not have very abnormal-looking eyes, so chances are your character will not be part of that minority.
Another very similar thing should be noted about the level of vision they will have. Somewhere between 80 and 90% of blind people have some level of remaining vision, weather it be little more than light perception or enough that they were forced to use their eyes a lot growing up and weren’t taught braille or to use a cane because they could get by well enough not to die most of the time.
So these are just the first several things I can think of at the moment, but definitely feel free to ask about more things!
I notice a lot of new polytheists and aspiring devotees asking what to do to find their deities/feel closer to them/talk to them/etc, so I thought I’d share somewhat in detail what has helped for me when I chose to put my faith in them - aside from prayer and divination
🌱🔸 make plans/rules for yourself and follow them. habit forming is a stepping stone to worship. for me, if I don’t do anything else faith-driven, I at least ring my chime. It doesn’t have to be so obvious, try to work it into your normal routine
🌱🔸just about anything can be an offering! buried offerings are my biggest but writing, brushing your teeth, self control, treat yo’ self, baths, your blog, video games with character select any video games, photos, playlists - you name it. if it makes you think of them, it honors them
🌱🔸on the other hand - if you feel they are stubbornly distant, study them more, try new offerings, look elsewhere. do you have pop culture icons that remind you of someone without inherently representing them? has something at the store been catching your eye? dig deep, follow your gut!
🌱🔸if they do at all, they will not likely present predictably. they have shown themselves to me through physical objects, in birds, in the sunlight between the blinds, in baths, the melodies of my heart, and I suspect endless other variations. but never once did i expect it
🌱🔸 rainfall can be an excellent tool for communication. speak/pray to your deity and listen to the shift in the weather for responsive gestures
🌱🔸 new moons are good for being noticed! light candles to illuminate yourself, talk to them full moons are good for noticing them! turn out/dim the lights and let yourself be overwhelmed
🌱 🔸can’t bury/burn food? don’t like throwing away offerings? your deity might prefer that you eat it for them! if you have strange cravings or see something new, indulge! even if you don’t like it, you tried it for them and tbh that’s just as special
🌱🔸if you’re having trouble branching out, ask your current deity what they think of other gods you are interested in. pay attention when you reread their summaries, was there someone who stuck out this time? don’t forget, the lore is not a set in stone representation of their behavior/interactions with others but it’s important to still be mindful
🌱🔸 if you are trying to use divination, ask your tools what they think of your deities/reach out to a third party diviner some readings might be more willing (and more helpful!) than others.
🌱🔸 if you can’t lucid dream/astral travel (like me) give daydreaming a try! concentrate on what it would look like if you had a meeting spot with your deity. picture what you would wear (if anything), how large or small they are, setting details, lighting, etc. then lose yourself in that world during mediation, chores, walks, right before bed, whenever you can zone out
🌱🔸 if you still can’t, fake it til you make it. improvise with nature sounds, sit in the dark (if you’re okay with that), watch optical illusion gifs, anything that can get your mind creating. take notes on your theories and keep track of what you’ve tried.
🌱🔸 limited supplies? pick from what you’ve got save old jewelry for charms, grab your spare crystals, trinkets you’ve held onto for years, and you can use divination - or my personal favorite “just guess” what they might like. interacting with their item could help form those bonds
most importantly- keep them in your thoughts! you don’t have to do any of these things at all to connect with or find your deity. in fact, I have tried all of these countless times and still not reached some in particular. you might find your own method along the way and that’s all the more special.
remember that whomever they are, they love you already and they know you’re trying

You felt the cold bursts of winter air escaping from the small crevice from under your window washing all over your bare skin. Scouring for some source of heat, you lazily began to reach for your blanket. As you moved your hand around, you were met with nothing but the thin layer of your flower-printed bed sheet. As another burst of cold air made contact with your bare arm, you rolled over to your side in hopes of finding the blanket, but to your avail, you just couldn’t seem to find it.
Now I have to open my eyes, you silently groaned to yourself.
As you struggled to completely open your eyes, you slowly ran your hand through the hair that was stuck to your face, pushing all of it backward. Your hand trailed down to meet a trail of dried of drool spanning from the edge of your lips to down towards your chin.
Great, you scoffed to yourself. You rubbed off the dried up saliva with the back of your hand, which quickly went to cover a silent yawn that managed to escape your lips. The other hand began rubbing circles around your eyes to wake yourself up. Once you were somewhat conscious and alert, you stood up and walked towards the window to close it. Despite your effort, the window wouldn’t seem to close all the way. Maybe it was because the window needed repair, or maybe it was because you’re just weak.
You mentally made yourself a note to start going to the gym more often.
You retrieved a cloth nearby and haphazardly began to stuff it under the gap from underneath the window to stop the heat from escaping your room. It wasn’t your best work. Could you have found a more efficient way to cover up the gap? Probably. But, it was in the middle of the night and there was only one thing on your mind, and that was to go back to sleep.
You returned to your bed, to resume your search for your blanket. You spread your hand around the mattress, like the blind bat you really are, to find something. You found nothing other than the feeling of the raised patterns from your mattress. You were getting back up to move for the hoodie across the room. You felt your foot get caught in a piece of fabric which caused you to trip and fall onto your side.
Hey, at least you found your blanket.
When you started to bunch it together and drag it back to on top of the bed, you noticed that Chanyeol wasn’t sleeping. He wasn’t even in the room.
He probably went to the washroom, you thought to yourself. But as you turned your head to the side, you saw the washroom door wide open, and the lights off.
Maybe he’s in the kitchen, getting a midnight snack, you snickered at the thought of it. You and Chanyeol had that in common. Believing what you thought about earlier, you returned to bed, wrapping yourself in the blanket, reclaiming the heat that escaped you during the night. After what you assumed to be a while, you were mostly warmed up, except for your fingers and the tips of your toes. No matter what the temperature was, or what time of it was, those parts of your body were always cold. You sighed to yourself and rolled onto your side. You were surprised that Chanyeol hadn’t returned back yet, and you couldn’t sleep without him.
Taking a deep breath, you got up from your bed and slid on your slippers. Quickly, you put on a hoodie lying on a chair nearby. It smelled like a mix of old spice and vanilla scented body spray.
Chanyeol’s not getting this back anytime soon, you said to yourself.
Now you were worried. If he wasn’t in the washroom, and he wasn’t in the kitchen or living room, then where was he? You remembered him putting you to sleep only a few hours ago, and you were sure he fell asleep alongside you. Now you were wide awake.
As you entered the living room, you were met with the similar chilly winter breeze, wafting through the living room. You turned around to search for the source of coldness when you saw a figure from the corners of your eyes.
It was Chanyeol. He was outside on the balcony wearing only a white shirt and grey sweatpants.
“Jagiya…,” you cooed.
Chanyeol quickly whipped his body around to face your visibly confused and worried face. His hand quickly shot up to his face where he brushed off the area around his eyes. You saw a glint of light reflecting off the top of his accentuated cheekbones.
He was crying.
You made your way to him, and wrapped your arms around his lean frame, and leaned the side of your face onto his back.
“Y/N…” Chanyeol trailed off. You heard him whimper and sniff in attempts to control his tears.
Your arms around his waist tightened in an effort to comfort him. You didn’t ask him any questions, nor did he try to explain anything. You could see his hands clenching around the railings hard enough to turn his knuckles white.
“I was dreaming of you,” you whispered. You tried to divert his attention to something that would make him forget what was troubling him so much. You moved from your grip behind his back and placed your clasped your hands on top of his. His hands were freezing. Removing his hands from the railing, you weaved your fingers through his and rubbed soothing patterns to calm him down. His whimpers increased to the point where his eyes held fresh, unshed tears, threatening to fall any second. You wrapped your interlocked hands around yourself to move into a hugging position. You felt Chanyeol succumbing to you and felt him bury his face in the crook of your neck. You felt his tears trail down your neck. You felt your own tears forming.
“Chanyeol, let’s go inside,” you tried croaked out. You placed a soft kiss on the back of his head and gently stepped back. Chanyeol let go your hands to wipe away his tears and looked at you. You saw the softest of smiles forming on his lips, but his eyes were just as pained as you first saw them. You wrapped your hand around his and lead him away into the warmth of your shared apartment.
Once you were inside, you went to close the balcony doors and turned the heater on. You turned around to face Chanyeol. He was curled into a ball in the corner of the couch, shivering from the cold. You hurried to his side and rubbed your hands up and down his arms to warm him up.
“Wait here, I’ll be right back,” you kissed the top of his head. You hurried to the bedroom to bring your blanket. Once you came back, Chanyeol was lying on his back with his head resting on the armrest, his head facing the ceiling. You noticed he was clutching the top of his head, with his eyes scrunched up in pain. He was probably having a headache from crying or from the cold. Or from both.
You placed the blanket over him and turned to fetch some Tylenol and a glass of water from the kitchen. Chanyeol muttered a quiet thank you as he quickly took the pill and drank the water. His voice was a little hoarse from earlier.
What was troubling Chanyeol so much? You quietly worried to yourself.
“Y/N,” Chanyeol’s quiet voice spoke to you, “come, and lie down with me.”
You merely looked at him and offered him a soft smile. You slowly inched your way on top of him and wrapped your arms around his neck. You rested your head on his chest and he pulled the blanket, covering both of your freezing bodies. Chanyeol’s hands found their way around you and pulled your body closer to his. You were his comfort. You were his light in the middle of the darkness. You were his sanity, his hope. His love.
You waited for a while until you lifted your face to look at his. You were going to ask him if he wanted to talk about it, but you were met with his sleeping figure. You took a moment to look at him, really absorb the image that was in front of you. He looked calm, a contrast to when he was outside visibly stressed to the point to tears. There were trails of dried up tears on his face, and you carefully moved your hand out of his grasp and tried to wipe off what you could.
You shifted your body to rest on the side of the sofa and you let your hand rest on the side of Chanyeol’s face. Slowly you caressed his face with your thumb, rubbing soft circles. His skin was so soft. You made a mental note to ask him about his skincare routine in the morning.
You kept your hand there for a while, absorbed in your thoughts when Chanyeol brought you back to reality.
“I love you,” Chanyeol softly whispered. Almost immediately, his face relaxed and he fell asleep.
“I love you too, Chanyeol, “you replied, uncertain if he had heard you. You looked at the clock on the wall opposite of you and saw the time. It was 3:19 am. Luckily, tomorrow (technically today) was a Saturday and Chanyeol didn’t have any schedules to attend to. That gave you two time to sort through what exactly happened tonight.
Soon enough, you felt yourself drifting off to sleep to the soft beating of his heart.
You woke up to the soft rays of sunlight that managed to escape from the gaps in between the blinds. An arm was resting on the side of your body while you were lying on top of him. His long legs were entangled with yours and your head was lying in the crook of his neck. Once you regained your consciousness, you looked to observe your surroundings.
This was not the living room. You were in your bedroom. Chanyeol brought you both from the couch to your bed in the middle of the night. You turned your head to face his. You never realised how long his eyelashes were. A thin layer of perspiration has layered on his forehead and neck. You pulled the sleeve of your hoodie and lightly dabbed to clear his face from it.
Chanyeol started to move. You woke him up.
“Good morning, Y/N,” Chanyeol murmured with his eyes closed. You responded by kissing his nose. Chanyeol smiled, which encouraged you to plant more kisses. You placed one on the tip of his nose again, one of the apples of his cheeks and several kisses on his forehead. This earned you laughs from him, and it made your heart flutter.
“Y/N,” he laughed, “stoop,” he said while opening his eyes. He lifted his finger and rested it on his lips. “I think you missed a spot,” Chanyeol cheekily responded.
You giggled at his response. Chanyeol had resumed to his usual playful self. This made you happy, you were also in a playful mood. You leaned in close and hovered a bit, not moving. One of his eyebrows quirked up with a smirk playing on a corner of his lips.
You press a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth and quickly pull yourself from his grasp.
“Yaahh, y/n you tease,” Chanyeol whined from across the room, “come back and give me a proper kiss.” You giggled even more now, trying to stifle your laughter that was threatening to burst out of you any moment. Chanyeol looked genuinely distressed. You felt bad for him, so you walked to his side of the bed. You sat down, cross legged, near his sleepy figure. Chanyeol immediately moved to rest his head on your lap and grabbed your hand. He was tracing patterns on the back of your palm with his fingers. You could tell he wanted to say something, but he was torn. So you took the jump for him.
“Chanyeol,” you said. You ran your hand through his hair for a while, attempting to soothe him.
“Last night…” you trailed on. His movement on your hands abruptly stopped.
“Do you want to talk about it? You know you can always talk to me, as cliché it sounds. You know I’m always here for you, always have a shoulder available for you, actually I have two shou-, “you were cut off from continuing on rambling.
“Jagi, I know. I know you won’t hesitate to put aside your time for me. To deal with my problems. To hear me voice out my issues, and to find a way to help my problems. I know all of that. But that’s the thing. I – I…” Chanyeol trailed off. His voice started to crack. “Lately, I’ve just been under a giant amount of pressure… and last night…” he sighed. “I just needed some time to sort things out. I thought I could handle this on my own. I – I thought I could push past this a-and move on…” he whispered.
“Chnayeol. What’s exactly bothering you? I know it’s not just the pressure. Last night was a combination of things, wasn’t it?” you questioned him.
Chanyeol didn’t reply. He kept tracing little shapes into your palm. That was an answer itself.
“Jagi…” you whispered.
Chanyeol suddenly got up from your lap. He sat up, facing away from you. “A-am I good enough?” He quietly said. “Am I good enough for you? For the fans? For anyone?” Chanyeol croaked out.
“Chanyeol, please don’t question yourself like that. Please. Your group members love you. Your family loves you. Your fans idolize you.” You told him. Chanyeol, you are my everything. You are my love. I love you. Please don’t forget that.” You pressed a soft kiss on his lips. You felt a tear slid down his cheek. You felt the pain, the doubt, and the worries that were trapped inside of him through this one kiss. You leaned down into the kiss and put a leg of each side of his body to get a better angle. He placed his hands on the small of your back and pulled you into him. He held onto you as if he needed you to survive. You ran your fingers through his hair and gently yanked on a fistful when he decided to bite your lip. You felt his teeth grazing over the area where he had bit. Softly sucking on the area, he moved his hand up to caress the back of your neck. Both of you pulled away, gasping for breath.
Chanyeol leaned his forehead against yours, drawing his eyes to look into yours. His eyes were full of love and adoration for you. Your gaze traveled down to his lips where you noticed they were pink and swollen. You laughed and pressed a gentle kiss on his lips.
Chanyeol pulled you flush against his chest and securely wrapped his arms around your waist to prevent you from moving. Your legs were mixed with his and you found yourself giggling again.
“Have I told you I love you,” you whispered against his neck.
“You don’t have to tell me, I can see it in everything you do,” Chanyeol replied. “I haven’t been cared for like you did for me last night in a while. And it’s refreshing to feel like I’m loved in a time where I can barely find time to love myself,” Chanyeol spoke into my hair.
“Don’t worry, I can love you enough for the both of us until you do.”

With light filtering between the half-drawn blinds, Jungkook’s brain has already begun the process in waking him from glorious slumber. Summer time has always been a blessing and curse because with far too much freedom in those three months without homework or group projects, he’s left with nothing but to indulge in random festivities with his friends that only leave him hungover or even more exhausted than his body can keep up with. And yet, the moment his body is sure it’s awake, he feels a pounding from the confines of his skull. This telltale sign is more than enough to tell him what he did, though the moment he tries to turn over, there’s a tug of tension at his wrist. Sirens are ringing in his head, and it isn’t just from his brain enacting revenge for last night’s stupidity. Worst of all, from the warmth of soft flesh beside him, he’s certain that he’s not the only one in the bed.
Fuckfuckfuck, he repeats like his own personal mantra. It offers no comfort, of course, but he slowly eases himself into turning toward his partner. The words still echo in his mind as he does so.
His head is still pounding, but his own breath catches halfway past his lips as soon as he realizes who’s in his bed—Y/N.
From the tufts of hair peeking out of his light blue comforter, the unruly locks that never seemed to obey even when you tried your best to tame it, to the way you snuggled deep into the plush comfort of the mattress. He used to swear you only loved him for that damn thing, and yet that was exactly two months ago. He still knows Y/N better than anyone who’s slept in this bed with him—the number itself is still pretty small—he just can’t help the panic that seems to cross his mind.
~Sweet Mochi Jimin and his muscle bunny Jungkook~
Jungkook and Jimin are grossly in love. Like so much so, their shared friend group love to point out when they’re making heart eyes at each other for the billionth time in a day, Calling Jimin soft and Jungkook whipped,Being jokingly sick of their over sweetness. But even all the teasing doesn’t stop the constant pink mist of hearts following them around. Seemingly always wrapped up in one another, and they wouldn’t want to be anywhere else, but with each other. And that’s how Jungkook knows he’s found the one, and Jimin agrees, staring intently into each others eyes. Jimin settled on the others lap, legs straddling his thighs, as he grinds gently onto the other during a sweet early morning love making session. Jimin’s breathy whines filling the cool morning air, as sunlight slots between the blinds, and dances across his lovers taunt chest. Jungkook’s strong arms, helping guide Jimin down onto him. Jimin tosses his head back, whimpering high im his throat, feeling his orgasm coming on. Taking the hint, Jungkook interlaces their fingers one one hand, and uses the other to slowly work Jimin to his climax. “K-kookie, I’m close” Jimin moans breathlessly. “I know, come on, cum for me love” He whispers. “Ah~ Mmmhn~” Jimin gasps, cumming into the others fist and clenching tightly around him. “Oh fuck, Jimin” Jungkook groans, cumming himself not long after. Jimin rests his head against the others chest, sighing contently. “You know I love you right?” he asks quietly. “Of course you loser, I love you too”
Recognizing uniqueness is not a substitute for thinking about disability
Teachers who are really good at teaching typically developing kids sometimes have trouble understanding the significance of disability. I’ve heard a lot of things like “all kids are unique” and “I always individualize my approach for every kid” and “I don’t see the need to label any kids as disabled, it’s just a matter of finding what works for them”.
This sounds positive, but it can be a disaster for kids with disabilities.
We talk a lot about uniqueness, but a lot of effective teaching depends on understanding ways in which kids are similar to each other. Developmentally appropriate practice means understanding how kids the same age are similar to each other — then being flexible in ways that recognize kids’ unique humanity. We develop a sense of what the range of difference is for kids of a particular age.
Kids with disabilities are more different than that, and we need to take those differences seriously. Disability matters, and practices based on typical developmental milestones don’t account for it.
Developmental milestones tell us:
Two year olds don’t have the motor skills to support handwriting.
Early education helps two year olds develop the motor skills that will eventually support handwriting.
Ten year olds do have the motor skills to support handwriting.
If they’ve had appropriate education, ten year olds should be able to write.
Developmental milestones don’t tell us:
How to teach ten year olds who don’t have the fine motor skills to support handwriting.
What early literacy and pre-writing instruction looks like for young children who are unlikely to develop the motor skills needed to support handwriting
It’s also important to understand the difference between unusual and unique. Disability means having unusual differences. But not every difference is unique. Some differences are shared by other people with disabilities. Those shared differences are important.
We need to understand the disability-related similarities. Part of that is having the right words to describe them. Calling disabilities by their right names isn’t about labeling, it’s about breaking isolation and making important things speakable.
Braille exists because blind people need it to exist
The differences between sighted people and blind people are a reason that braille needs to exist.
(And a reason that Braille is better than raised print).
The similarities between many blind people are a reason that braille *can* exist as a standard way of accessing literacy.
If each blind person was completely unique, there would be no way to create a reading and writing system that would work for large numbers of blind people.
Some other examples:
Cars with hand controls and/or wheelchair lifts.
Text-to-speech communication devices.
VoiceOver and other screen reading software.
Medications that manage symptoms.
The ADA, Section 504, IDEA and other disability rights laws.
People with disabilities are unique, and not interchangeable with each other. Similarly, kids the same age are unique, and not interchangeable with each other. Both the similarities and differences are important.
Tl;dr Sometimes progressive educators are uncomfortable with the concept of disability, and want to instead just see every kid’s uniqueness. That doesn’t work, because disability means having unusual differences — and because the differences aren’t unique; they’re shared with many other disabled people. Recognizing uniqueness isn’t enough — we also need to understand and accommodate disability.

you speak TWO LANGUAGES??
this bean is so impressed
he loves to hear you speak in another language, especially if you say nice things to him~ not like he can tell the difference but shh it’s not like you’d say anything mean anyway
secretly tries to learn some of the language so he can talk to you in it
loves it when you teach him different words or sayings
loves it even more when you read something to him and he tries to guess what it means
watches movies and TV shows in that language with you
some of the people he plays LOLOL with speak that language! now you can translate what they’re saying for him!
slip into that language when you’re having sex and this boy is GONE
tHE BEAST, MC
no but really, he thinks it’s so attractive that you can speak two languages fluently
when you compliment him in your other language, he hugs you tightly and kisses you
learns how to say I love you and other romantic things in that language but doesn’t tell you
surprises you with it one evening when you’re cuddling
probably learns a love song in your other language to sing to you
because this boy is just that romantic
no but really, he loves hearing you speak in another language and constantly brags with you
thinks it’s so cute when you slip up or accidentally switch between languages
Baehee is also super impressed
she knows the basics of some other languages but she never had the time to learn any of them perfectly
so when she hears you speaking in another language, she’s immediately asking you tons of questions
is it your mother tongue? did you live in that country? is one of your parents from there?
no matter the language, she wants to start learning it
that way you two can talk to each other without anyone except Seven understanding
and she can complain about Jumin a lot more freely
adores it when you quietly talk to her in your other language when she’s falling asleep
it ends up with her cuddling closer to you so you do it a lot
because a happy, sleepy Jaehee is a cute Jaehee
he knows business lingo in a lot of languages since his company has business partners internationally
one day he was talking to one of them when you visited his office
and you just casually joined in? and used words he’d never heard before?
he was so surprised, especially when you got them to agree to the deal he’d been discussing
once they’re gone, he turns to you and gives you a kiss
wants to know how you know that language
like Jaehee, he asks a lot of questions
sometimes has you translate some papers for him
talk to Elizabeth 3rd in your other language and this man will love you so much
canonically speaks like 17 languages fluently
so there’s a high possibility he understands you
and loves talking to you in your other language
it’s like speaking in code around the others
sends you memes in that language
SENDS YOU THE ENTIRE BEE MOVIE SCRIPT TRANSLATED INTO THAT LANGUAGE
it’s really nice being around him though because you never have to worry when you forget a word, you can just slip into another language
if he doesn’t understand the language you speak, he learns it asap and always comes to you with questions
has you teach him all the bad words
since he travels a lot, he probably knows a few snippets of the other language you speak
lets you teach him more vocabulary
you have cute little lessons where for every word he gets correct, you give him a piece of chocolate or a kiss
you guys are honestly the softest couple
he writes little messages in either language and leaves them around the house for you to find
like Yoosung, he enjoys watching movies in your other language and has you translate the things he doesn’t understand
teaches you some of different languages he speaks, even if he only knows one word
you two have vocabulary lists hung up all over the house
if he’s still blind, he teaches you how to read braille in return for you teaching him your other language
Prompt: Hey could you do maybe a Jughead X Reader Soulmate AU? One where Jughead and the reader have a tattoo of a crown on their wrist, and they are best friends but neither of them had ever seen the tattoo on each other. (They were blind, but so where the others) But one day Jughead sees it and knows that they are soulmates, so they meet at pops and he kisses her and after it is really cute. They tell the group and it is really fluffy. In the story the other ships could be Beronica and well the Jughead X Reader. If you do this please send me the link and tell me you did it! Please?
A/N: I’m sorry if at the end it isn’t how you wanted it to be and if it’s REALLY REALLY short.
This is my first imagine in another language so yeah I’m a little excited and terrified. English isn’t my first language so I’m sorry if it sucks and there are any mistakes.
You stared at the engraving of ink on the pale skin of your wrist: a little crown. This tattoo was supposed to be the same your soulmate had on his wrist too. You had always thought about him, how he would be.
-How did you know she was your soulmate?- you suddenly asked to Veronica who was laying on her bed, a pen on her hand and her history book on her lap. She has already found her soulmate Betty, and everyone could see how perfect they were for each other.
-I felt it. The moment I saw her, I knew she was the only one for me and then I’ve seen her tattoo and, well, it was obvious we were meant to be. One day you’ll feel like this too.- she smiled, probably thinking about the moment she met her girlfriend.
-I hope so.- you sighed.
-Have you ever thought that maybe your soulmate is next to you and you don’t even know it?- she asked curiously.
-What do you mean?-
-Nothing at all. It’s just that sometimes things are way easier than what you think.- she smirked, probably hiding something.
-I just want to find him.-
-What about your enormous crush on Juggie?- she asked.
-I’ll always like him but it would be different with my soulmate, you know.-
The next day you were at school, stood by your locker as you kept watching the faces who crowned the hallway. Maybe your soulmate was one of them.
-Hey, Y/N.- You turned around and face Jughead, your bestfriend and big crush since forever. You have never really thought about him in that way cause of all the soulmates thing but you like him anyway.
He smiled at you, waiting for a reply.
-Hi, Jug.- You smiled back and looked at him. He was wearing his usual beanie but something was different. You didn’t know exactly what it was but you felt it.
-What are you thinking about? You seem really concentrated.-
-Oh you know, the usual.-
-Your soulmate?- he asked laughing.
-Yes.- you replied. -I just want to meet him. What if he isn’t what I’m looking for? What if he isn’t…?-
-Hot?- he said and smirked.
-Oh, shut up! It’s not what I’m thinking about.-
-Sorry, I know you’re not that type of girl.- when you heard his words your smile got bigger than it was before. Then he spoke again: -Why don’t you let me see your tattoo?-
-Well, I could ask the same to you.-
-I asked it first.-
-I just want my soulmate to see it first.- you said.
-But if you don’t let other people to see it, then how would he be supposed to know the person he’s looking for is you?- he stared at you intensely and for a moment when you met his eyes you felt like your own world collide. You liked him even if ut was wrong.
-I just think I’ll recognize him.- you whispered. You placed your books on your locker and then you closed it. Cause of your action, your sleeve raised and your tattoo showed for a moment. You quickly covered it, than you turned to face Jughead who had a shocked expression on his face.
-Jug, are you okay?-
-Yeah.- he whispered, keep looking at your now covered wrist. -I have to go.-
-Wait, Jughead…- But he was already down the hallway, direct to the exit.
What was his problem? You thought.
During the morning you tried to text your bestfriend but you never got an answer. Then before the bell rang you received a notification from him. Meet me at Pop’s after school.
You walked down the street thinking about what he would say to you. At the diner you pushed the door and enter in the building.
You looked for Jughead when you saw him in your usual booth. You walked up to him and you sat in the cough in front of him.
-Could you explain me why you left school today? Oh, and maybe why you didn’t text me back?- I said angrily.
-Well, hello to you too.- he laughed then turned serious. -I just needed time to think about something.-
-What?- you asked.
-I could tell you but maybe it’s easier if I show you.-
-Show me what?-
-My tatto.- he said simply.
-No Jug, you don’t have to.-
-I want.- he said raising his sleeve. Then you saw it, that little black crown. For a moment your breath caught.
You looked at him and saw how worried he was. But his face was different, it seemed like it was the first time you actually saw him, how his eyes brightened and how handsome he really was. He was your soulmate, the person you would spend your life with.
-How did you know…?-
-Today at school I saw your wrist, that’s why I left. I needed time to elaborate it.-
-You’re my soulmate.- You whispered. -My best friend is my soulmate.-
-Are you sad?-
-Not at all, I just didn’t expect you to be him.- then you added: -I always wished it would be you.-
-Really?- he smiled softly and my heart skipped a beat.
-I know it sounds like a cliché but I’ve always had a crush on my best friend.- you blushed.
-That’s good cause I think I’m in love with you.- you smiled at his words. -There you are. I’ve been looking for you.-
He stoop up from his seat and he sat next to you, just a few steps between us.
-I was so blind before.-
He didn’t reply, he just cupped your face and pressed his lips on yours. You didn’t expect them to be so soft and taste so good. He intensified the kiss and you gasped against him, forgetting about the fact that you two were in a public place and everyone could see you.
-Woah, what is happening here?- you heard the voice of Betty and you two split, both blushing.
-Why were you two making out at Pop’s?- Archie joked.
-We have just discovered we’re meant to be.- Jughead said.
-Are you soulmates?- Veronica asked with a shocked expression.
-Omg, that’s great! We’re so happy for you guys. I’ve always shipped you two together and I knew you were perfect for each other.- she yelled happily.
Your face turned even redder at her words while Jughead took your hand under the table. You looked at him without saying anything.
-Look at them, they’re so in love.- Betty commented sitting on the other cough.
-I really am.- added the boy next to you kissing your nose. -I finally feel complete with her.-
