Will Ospreay wins NJPW Best Of the Super Juniors [June 7th, 2016]
[EDIT: This post was accidentally queued to post today rather than its intended time of yesterday. Sorry about that.]
It’s been a long, glorious journey for the 23-year old British superstar Will Ospreay, who on Tuesday night, won the NJPW Best Of The Super Juniors tournament. Ospreay had no easy road to the finals, taking on Baretta, Tiger Mask, Bobby Fish, Jushin Thunder Liger, Volador Jr., and Ricochet in a critically acclaimed (and reviled by some) match. Ospreay met Ryusuke Taguchi in the finals of the tournament, who himself is a former BOSJ champion, winning the tourney in 2012. In the closing moments of the 20+ minute bout, Ospreay conquered his foe and raised his fists in glory, taking the BOSJ trophy back to the UK with pride nestled on his shoulders!
