The first thing he thought when he saw you: “who
is this girl?”
He found you interesting but
He was going to keep walking, forgetting about
your face just as he forgot any other face he saw walking past him almost everyday
But that changed when you made eye contact
You looked at him
And you smiled
You just simply smiled and walked away
When he got home he was confused
The next week he found himself trying to find
you in the same place he spotted you the first time
He is a confident person but when he saw you
again for some reason he just couldn’t move his legs near you
Like something was stopping him
The next time he saw you was almost the same
He couldn’t move
But you saw him
And when you walked past him you talked
“Such a sunny day huh?”
He wanted to talk back. He really did. But his
tongue had another plan.
Great Hoseok. Great. You lost your chance.
Back at home he just couldn’t stop thinking about
You were in his mind all the time
It was at dinner that he took the decision
“Next time. I’ll ask for your name. I promise”
“What you said, hyung?”
“I think he asked for ramen”
The next time he saw you he was ready
He didn’t know but you noticed him as soon as you
saw him and now he was walking towards you
Hoseok, you got this.
“Um, can I know your name?”
Since that day. You guys met at the same spot at
the same hour everyday
You both always had something to talk about
“Awkward silence” doesn’t exist between the two
Hoseok is always laughing and screaming, it
makes you laugh too
You guys talk trough imessage when you are not
He was really nervous when he actually decided
to ask you out
He was sweating
screamed when you said yes
*lifts you up*
*spins you around*
When you met the boys they all knew everything
“Oh, so this is y/n, the cute girl with a
“You mean Y/n the girl who has a dog and two
“I thought you were talking about Y/n, the girl
that loves capuccino with vanilla and cinammon?”
“Hyung he’s getting mad. Look at his mouth”
Hoseok is mad but you are giggling and now he is
He is always calling you to tell you the most
“I just watched the best comercial ever”
“Just ate a mango that tasted like rotten
“Wich song do you like the most? Skater Boy or
What the hell?”
“I just remembered that day in our trainees
years. I farted and blamed Taehyung. Everybody believed me”
He lays his head on your lap when he’s tired
Sometimes almost everytime he falls asleep and
you can’t help but stare
He looks peaceful and beautiful
Moving his hair out of his forehead you start
stroking his hair
it when you stroke his hair
At first he would ask you to do it
Until you start doing it yourself almost
everytime his head is near your hands
When you don’t do it, he knows something’s wrong
“Y/n? What’s wrong?”
*you are asleep*
Carries you to his room
When you wake up, he’s literally smiling at you
“Where are we?”
“In my room”
“I fell asleep, didn’t I?”
“… wait… we are in your room?”
*You softly turn around to find Jimin staring at
“Oh, hi y/n. I didn’t see you there”
You didn’t feel like staying in your jeans so you
went through Hoseok’s clothes
You tried to find some comfy sweatpants but all
you see are shorts
“Y/n, baby, breakfast is ready… are those my
“Don’t say a word about this”
Too late. He’s already laughing at you
Actually, everybody is laughing at you
Always lays his head on your shoulder when you
guys eat breakfast together because he is sleepy
You love sleepy Hobi
You guys can communicate trough glances
Like that day you and the boys were buying
clothes and he was trying to tell you to buy a skirt without letting the guys
You looked at him asking him with your eyes if
you should take the black or the white one
And he gave you the look
So you brought the white one
Or the day you went to the cinema with the boys
and you weren’t sure of what movie to pick
“And that one…?”
The boys didn’t know what just happen but somehow
you two agreed to watch the same movie without even saying it out loud
“Wait. So what are we watching?”
“ La La Land, Jungkook. Didnt you hear us?”
Always taking you to dance practice with him
“I cant practice without you around. You are my
He would do everything for you
But not going in a roller coaster ride (at least
not the gigantic ones)
“Y/n do we have to do this?”
“Well, I’ve been waiting for this for weeks. So I
am going. But you can stay if you want. I think Yoongi wouldn’t mind to…”
“Yoongi is going in too?”
*He sits between you and Yoongi only because he
wants to hold both your hands at the same time*
When you are doing homework he is either playing
with your phone or taking pictures of himself
“Y/n what’s this?”
*a picture of him sleeping on your lap*
Favorite thing to do together: go to costume
shops and try on wigs
You have an album in your cellphone full of
Hobi’s pictures with wigs on
“Omg you look like your mom in this one”
“Please erase that picture”
You guys are always holding hands
Or he is always back hugging you
There is no in between
Cuddling together is a must
The first time you fought he cried
Wich made you cry too
“Let’s not fight ever again”
The day you found out you loved him you went
running to his place
You were sure about it and you wanted him to
But when he oppended the door and kissed you.
You somehow got scared
What if he didn’t love you back
So you kept it for yourself. Deciding to wait
for him to tell you first
Time passed by and you were starting to get
Maybe he really didn’t love you
One day you both were eating ice cream while
watching a movie in your place
Your dog sleeping on Hoseok’s chest
When you looked at them you couldn’t keep it to
You had to tell him
He had to know
So you took a spoon of icecream and a deep breath
“I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable with
this. But I just can’t keep it to myself anymore”
Noticing the seriousness of the manner. Hoseok
sat gently placing your dog on his lap
“What is it, baby?”
Not looking at him anymore. You talked
“I love you, Hoseok. A-and it’s weird beacuse I
think I’ve never loved someone before. In fact you are the first person I say I
love you to that’s not part of my family or my dog. I just feel it, you know?
Hoseok couldn’t help but kiss you
“I love you too Y/n. Since the day you smiled at
me in the middle of a park. I knew it was you. It had to be you”
After a few kisses he would suddenly stop
“There’s something I have to do”
“Hyung, she said she loves me”
“What the heck? Is that her? Is she with you
“Yeah, she’s next to me. She’s laughing”
“Go kiss her or something. Why would you call me
to tell me this anyways?”
When you have the opportunity to
eat a scone – say, they’re an item on a menu or an option at someone’s home, do
you ever actually take that choice? Until I met my friend Mimi, the only scones
I had ever eaten were heavy, and as dry as dust. Slathering a dry scone with
butter and washing it down with tea was the only way to choke it down.
These scones score a perfect
ten. They are so ridiculously light and full of flavor, Mimi is famous for them. Her family’s Christmas morning is not complete without them. She will make as many as four batches at a time and drop them off to happy
friends and family members. I have opened my front door to Mimi standing there, holding a warm
plate of scones. They’re so good, people have talked to her about opening a
little café where customers could come and buy them.
Along with two other friends, we had the pleasure of watching
Mimi make these perfect scones last week. We nibbled on
our warm scones as we talked, laughed, and observed her in action.
Lemony cranberry oat scones, a
perfect recipe modified from Joy of Baking.
1-¾ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ cup unsalted cold butter, cut into pieces
¾ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
½ cup dried cranberries
½ cup sweetened, flaked coconut (optional)
½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Zest of one lemon
2/3 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon essence of lemon extract
1 large egg and 1 tablespoon milk for egg wash
Powdered sugar for glaze
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and place rack in center of the
oven. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat sheet and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar,
salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Add the butter and using either two
knives or a pastry cutter, cut the butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Add
the rolled oats, dried cranberries, lemon zest, and optional coconut and nuts.
Mix until combined. Stir in the lemon juice and buttermilk and mix just until
dough comes together.
Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface and knead the
dough four or five times. Form dough into a domed circle, about 7 or 8 inches
in diameter. Cut the dough into 12 wedges. Place the scones onto prepared
In small bowl, whisk together the egg with the milk. Brush
tops of scones with egg mixture.
Bake for about 15 -18 minutes or
until lightly browned and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove
from oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool. Note: you can bake these very nicely in a convection oven. If you do,
it will only take about 14 minutes in the oven.
Remove scones from oven and turn
oven to broil. Heavily sprinkle tops of scones with confectioners (powdered)
sugar and place under broiler. Broil for just a few seconds, turning the pan as
necessary, until the sugar melts and turns golden brown. Transfer baked scones
to wire rack to cool.
How do you make mushroom meat??Do you bake the mushroom stalks? Sounds like I need some of that in my life haha
You totally need them. I swear is the best thing I have ever ate in my life! They come frozen in a bag, you take some and prepare them with the spices and flavours you want. The mushroom’s stalks are easy to shred when they’re cooked and when you have it done you can prepare them as you want. Here is an example of a vegan chalupa with mushroom meat.
Hey kids! Day three in Spain here. Pictured here is Cesina, which is almost a version of jerky. In this case, it was deer. It was paired with a 2010 Syrah (fairly young, however powerful.) For some reason, the spices of the cesina conflicted with the wine, thus bringing it’s sweeter properties.
Basically, since I couldn’t describe it well in a professional manner, those two are officially filed under the “Best Things I Ever Ate” list.
Hey! As you might have noticed, if you read my one shots, I don’t write Sammy very often, so I hope this is okay, but I was in a Sammy mood. Oh, and it’s not really “all night long” as it is mentioned in the original imagine. I hope that’s not a big problem. As always, I really hope you like it and enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it! :)
Dinner 5/23/2014: Dog in the Park, 1520 4th Avenue, #100, Seattle
Me: Louisana dog with grilled cabbage, bell peppers, potatoes, and cream cheese.
The fiance: Big beef dog with everything (all of the above toppings, plus grilled onions).
Our first time trying Seattle-style hot dogs! And they were really, really good. A Seattle dog isn’t a Seattle dog without cream cheese. We were skeptical about it, but the creaminess and slight tanginess made it the perfect thing to bind all of the flavors together. The buns are grilled so that the cream cheese melts a bit (mine was slathered on top b/c the guy didn’t realize I wanted it until after he put the toppings on), and the dogs are split in half. The veg provide some great crunch. My Louisiana dog had some nice heat to it, too. We’re definitely believers of the Seattle dog!
Have you ever ate something while you were high and then when you were sober went back to eat that thing and were disappointed? I ate a bunch of shredded cheese while I was high and it was the best thing ever but when I ate some while I was sober I was just so disappointed.
Hahaha totally been there! Food tastes 100x better high, there’s no arguing that. I’ve also high eaten things, like ate something high then go to eat it the next day and it’s gone and I’m like…WHO THE FUCK ATE MY REESES CUP GOD DAMNIT
Okay, weird anecdote: this whole cultural elitism thing that crops up on this site always reminds me of how Alex Guarnaschelli's Best-Thing-I-Ever-Ate was a deep fried hotdog from the li'l shack next to the hardware store. Freakin' Iron Chef, makes up excuses to go to the hardware store to get deep fried hotdogs. Like, c'mon people. Let folks have their deep fried hotdogs. gotdamn.
A diet of nothing but deep fried hotdogs would probably be bad for your arteries, but a diet of nothing but kale will probably make you a very sad, unpleasant, irritable person. Unless you are a llama.
Mr. Anime Senpai, what was the best thing you ever ate?
I will always remember this. When I was very young about 6 or 7 living in the glorious planes of England my father took me to a Diner by the name of Mickeys. At first I thought this was a jip, as being the naive child I was I sincerely wanted McDonalds. I’m happy my father ignored my ignorance as I was lucky enough to feast on one of these beloved creations of beef and cheese.
It was the most intense sensation of Euphoria I’ve ever experienced.
The bun, like a tan freckled breast of an angel toasted to a robust crisp, resting gently on the patty of ground beef so exquisite, swirling in your mouth, breaking apart, and combining again in a fugue of sweets and savor so delightful. Topped with a tantalizing blend of various cheeses.
Crowned with bacon, and not just any bacon, PERFECTION BACON. Neither soft or burnt but the absolute perfected mouth watering blend of both.
This is no mere sandwich of grilled meat, melted cheese and toasted bread. This is God, speaking in food.
I’ve tried to find many burgers since I’ve moved to America that match Mickey’s taste and though they pale in comparison the closest I have found are Denny’s burger and Five Guys. I hope one day before I pass from this mortal coil that I can go and feast on one those magnificent creations again.
look i’ll just fucking admit outright i’m a sucker for these ‘best thing i ever ate’ types shows where all these celebrity chefs are candid and funny and i am literally smiling and laughing at this goddamned show ok is that what you wanted to know
