I saw something white dwell through the woods like a macabre dead bride
Trembling with fear, still cannot believe
That like a false dog it kept staring at me...

In just a few days I have fallen in love with this band. The dark and fascinating stories Seregor tells acompanied with his extremely talented guitar coordination, the sheer technicality of Namtar’s drumming, and Ardek’s breathtaking orchestral compositions have left me catatonic. Just amazing, fucking amazing.
Easily one of the best Symphonic Black Metal bands in the world right now
The best symphonic metal band are finally back to their best
Thank God for Within Temptation. Seriously. What with Nightwish mastermind Tuomas Holopainen currently Scrooge McFucking around with a bizarre concept album instead of sorting Nightwish out, it’s fallen to them to prove why symphonic metal still matters in 2014. And Hydra does that job perfectly. Whether it’s on Let Us Burn or Silver Moonlight, Sharon den Adel continues to hit notes that would leave other symphonic sirens wheezing in their corsets. But that’s normal. What’s more impressive is that they’re still taking risks. Yes, Xzibit’s stunted rhymes may spectacularly fail to pimp And We Run, but even this misstep shows a willingness to take tisks in a genre that often avoids them. That’s why Within Temptation still matter. That’s why they still make the competition look irresponsibly dull.

I don’t usually say nothing about reviews, but… Although, overall this review is good (they give 4K which for Kerrang is very good, they usually are assholes in the reviews), why make comparisons and depreciate other artists. But what could I expect, it’s Kerrang… I love their photoshoots, specially the ones from Paul Harries, but the reporters… *Roll eyes*
