history has shown me that you can’t really plan for disasters.
sure, you can prepare an emergency bag in case of major seismic activity, but you wouldn’t know when it would hit.
you can board up your house when a hurricane’s about to strike, but you can’t account for how much water will be left at the store.
every time i drive by the beach, i imagine how fast and how far i would have to go in order to escape from a tsunami.
but no matter how much i stare at the receding waves and try to calculate how far is too far from the shore, i can’t account for the people running in the same direction as i am, or the utter beauty that is complete destruction.
you could say that even the best laid plans could end up in disaster.
but i swear, i ran to you, and you were the best disaster i couldn’t have planned for.
