Woah! The epilog takes place this year! That's so cool! Do you have any thoughts on the kids that you'd like to share in honor of that?

I know! Pretty soon it will really be nineteen years later, and we’ll still be here with Harry <3 Sometimes I think about this fandom and I’m so blown away by the depth and breadth and everything we’ve accomplished. I’m so proud to be a part of the Harry Potter generation. I asked my cousins who I rarely see today what Hogwarts house they’re in, and even though they’re ten years younger than me and very shy - we got to bond over this thing. This series when I was nine and it’s my whole life now.

You asked for some thoughts on the kids, so here’s ten little headcanons :)

1. Teddy’s favorite person in the whole world is Harry - he idolizes Harry…but not in a “Chosen One” way, more like a father figure whose hair is really cool and casts a patronus for me when he reads bedtime stories way.

2. Molly and Lucy are twins - Percy was very worried about breaking it to George that he would be the one with the family’s next set of twins. George cried, but ultimately hugged Percy and said he hoped these two would be better to him than he and Fred had been.

3. Gabrielle is the best aunt ever, not only to Fleur’s three kids, but to all the Weasley bunch.

4. Myrna and Rhea, Dudley’s daughters, know the Potter kids fairly well - but it isn’t until Myrna enters Hogwarts the same year as Lily that they become friends.

5. Rose and Hugo are best friends, not unlike their dad and Aunt Ginny. The Weasley-Potters aren’t as close with each other.

6. When Albus haltingly comes out to Harry and Ginny his fourth year, they tell him they love him, and Ginny asks wryly if he wants her to invite the Malfoys for Christmas Eve.

7. Neville and Hannah never have kids of their own, but they both consider their students at Hogwarts to be their own. They - especially Hannah, up in the infirmary - see quite a bit of the Weasley brood, both in and out of school.

8. Ginny was so happy that Harry agreed to let her call their first daughter after her ex-girlfriend, she gave him free reign over their second kid’s name.

9. Angelina cried each time one of her niblings left for Hogwarts for the first time - when it was little Freddie’s turn, she almost couldn’t let go of him long enough to let him on the train. George convinced her by whispering in her ear that all he thinks they should have another baby.

10. Easter when the kids are little is taken very seriously - Charlie hosts it at the ranch every year, and hides hundreds of eggs for all his niblings.

I love you all

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Cast change initial thoughts

Tonight was beautiful. One of the most powerful, wonderful, emotional evenings I have ever experienced. I’m not quite sure where to go from here to be honest. I know people have requested it, but I’m not sure I’m up to doing a full review of the show yet. I need time to digest and reflect and, to be quite frank, cry.

Safe to say that they were throwing their all into today. It was the best I’ve seen it, by a long shot. They are an incredible bunch of people, and I can’t believe how lucky the world has been to exist in the same time as this show. The whole cast was phenomenal, and the raw emotion in that room, and on that stage, was mind-blowing. They have done so much and come so far in a year, and to witness the cumulation of that was wonderful.

I have to mention Jamie though. He was on absolute fucking fire. Yes, there *may* have been a moment where a line escaped him, but he was nailing it all. And his act 4 was so emotionally hard - I was crying. Pure, cathartic, but bloody complicated crying. He did so well. I am so proud.

The queue for stage door was snaking around the theatre: I positioned myself along the side, near where his bike normally is. And waited (me getting nervous as I had to do a Jamie and run for my train). Then… the security guard utters 3 of the best words I’ve ever heard: ‘Jamie Parker’s coming’. And then, there he was. He and Noma legged it to the far end of the line so that no-one as left waiting for ages, and then he finally got to me. He recognised me, said 'Hey you’, and he then, once he’d seen my face and the state I was in but trying to hide, I started to out my arms out and he met me more than halfway with a hug. He thanked me for his gifts, saying they were totally unnecessary. We had a photo, and then he moved onto the next person.

I was in tears. Tonight meant more to me than I can say. In Jamie’s gift bag, I had included a letter (separate to his card) trying to explain why him as Harry means so much to me… and that meant revealing something deeply, deeply personal. I couldn’t find another way to do it, so I put it in there. Him thanking me for the gifts meant that he’d read my letter… and that he knew. That he knew this thing that has shaped who I am today, something that not many people know. And having him in that circle that knows is affirming. Cathartic. Jamie knows a bit more about me and for some reason that makes me calmer. Knowing he knows makes me feel that I can be more myself, that perhaps a little bit more of the front can come down. And that can only be a good thing.

FF Fandom Meme #16

Question 16: The game with the best cast of characters

My favorite cast overall definitely inhabits the world of Final Fantasy IX.

The game’s selection of party members is full of stand-out characters, who all have bursting personalities. Well, they all need to have big personalities or they’d get completely overshadowed by the other party members. And this team just has the best interactions amongst its members. They argue amongst themselves, they support each other, they grow to understand one another. It’s great. And all these characters have so much story potential that every time the party splits up in a town, you get access to a selection of cut scenes about what they get up to.

Never mind the supportive cast! Final Fantasy IX’s world feels alive and whole primarily because of the colorful NPCs, who all have their own places, jobs and dreams in the world. The band of thieves Zidane has to leave behind in order to go on his world-saving quest are the best example. These people have aspirations even outside of their group, with Ruby wanting to make it big in the acting business but still coming back to help her friends put up a play and the rapscallion Blank actually having a big heart that wants to help everyone in need. Generally, the inhabitants of the world of FFIX are a likeable bunch.

Of course, not all characters need to or should be likeable in order to make a great cast. Final Fantasy IX has a lot of villains from the well-intentioned Beatrix to the tragically misguided Brahne and Kuja, who regret their actions in the end, to the genuinely horrid Black Waltzes 1-3. The moral splits between the villainous characters are even further emphasized by just how different they all look from each other and this is where FFIX’s quirky character design style shines. This world is just filled with vibrant individuals.

Pairing: Jensen x Reader

Word Count: 1.3k (Lyrics included)

Warnings: Pure fucking fluff

Jensen joined Louden Swain on stage and the crowd went crazy. You laughed and clapped along with the crowd. You couldn’t help but cup your hands around your mouth and scream out along with the rest of the screaming fans.

“Ow! OW! Jensen!” you yelled, giggling a little when he heard you and glanced sideways off the stage in your direction, a mischievous grin creeping onto his lips.

Historical Movie Recommendations

I know that I promised an X Company post a few weeks ago, and I swear that I am working on it, but for now I decided to recommend some of my favourite historical movies. If you have any suggestions, I would be happy to hear them!

1) Suffragette, Directed by Sarah Gavron, starring Carey Mulligan, Anne-Marie Duff, Helena Bonham Carter, Meryl Streep, and tons of other amazing actresses.

I actually just recently saw this movie, and I loved it. It tells the story of some of the foot soldiers of the suffragette movement. Carey Mulligan brilliantly plays Maud Watts, a wife and mother who works at a Laundry who ends up being a huge part of the suffragette movement. She gives up her job and her family to help women get some semblance of equality. I loved how the director showed female friendship, and illustrated the atrocities that the women went through trying to get the vote. Gavron shows the nitty-gritty’s of the movement, no glorifying of the things that happened. (Warning: this movie talks about rape and shows someone being force-fed in jail as well as other violence)

2) Anna Karenina, Directed by Joe Wright, starring Keira Knightley, Jude Law, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Alicia Vikander.

There are many versions of this classic, but this is by far my favourite. The movie and costumes are highly stylized and the scenes fit together beautifully. This is maybe not the most historically accurate movie, but it is done gorgeously, and everything works together to create something that will make you weep. The movie follows Anna (Knightley), a woman who has a life-changing affair with the dashing young Count Vronsky (Taylor-Johnson). Set in the late 1800s, the film captures the height of Russian society and exhibits some of the challenges that women have had throughout history. I loved the costumes in the movie, and if you have a thing for great cinematography (like me), this movie is definitely for you. (Warning: the movie revolves around an affair, and suicide is a large part of the movie)

3) Pride and Prejudice, any of the adaptations are great. Actually, any Jane Austen movies are great.

I love Pride and Prejudice. Mr Darcy, Elizabeth, all of the characters are fabulous, and Jane Austen books give you the ultimate romance on a charming regency set. If you want a more cheerful historical movie (and those can be hard to find), Jane Austen stories are the best bet.

4) Testament of Youth, Directed by James Kent, starring Alicia Vikander, Kit Harington, Taron Egerton, Colin Morgan.

This movie did not get the attention it deserved. It not only had a fabulous cast, but also great costumes, music, and cinematography. To make it even better, it was based on a true story. The movie follows Vera Brittian through the First World War, first when she got into Oxford, then when she became a nurse, and as she lost some of the people she loved the most. I cried through pretty much the whole movie. It was beautifully and respectfully done, and gives us some insight on why she became a pacifist. Please remember that it is a war movie, so there are many very difficult scenes.

5) The Great Gatsby, Directed by Baz Luhrmann, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan.

Another great classic that will get you to question humanity as a whole and fight with people you actually like about all of the characters in the book. Except for Tom Buchanan. Everyone hates that guy. I loved how this movie was done- over the top with a great soundtrack and amazing costumes. It fit the book perfectly, in my mind.

6) Marie Antoinette, Directed by Sofia Coppola, starring Kirsten Dunst, Jason Schwartzman, Rip Torn.

History isn’t everyones cup of tea. This movie perfectly captures the extravagance of the French court just before the French Revolution in the late 1700s, all the while helping us modern people understand what it was like for Marie Antoinette. Most of the things that people know of her now are things that weren’t actually true, it was just propaganda (no, Marie Antoinette didn’t actually say ‘let them eat cake’.). The modern touches like the soundtrack and the converse that were snuck (is that the right word? It sounds wrong to me) into a shot help us understand what she went through, while still making a very enjoyable movie. Also, the aesthetic is pretty great.

There are tons and tons of other movies that I would like to recommend, but these are a few of my favourites. Some others that are deserving of your attention are:

7) Brooklyn, directed by John Crowley

8) Belle, directed by Amma Asante

9) The Imitation Game, directed by Morten Tyldum (this one is one of my favourite war movies, along with Saving Private Ryan and Schindlers List)

10) Atonement, directed by Joe Wright

Please feel free to add on to this list! Would anyone like another rec list, maybe for historical books or tv shows?

Notes on Cursed Child 19/4

So so fortunate to get to see Cursed Child today for the third and probably final time with the current cast! As a whole the cast felt much stronger than the previous times I’ve seen it - not that they weren’t incredible before, but you could just feel their energy in the room.

Just some brief notes I made while watching:
- Sam’s cloak got caught in the Platform 9 and ¾ transition - he had to pull it down and even then the collar was sticking out for that scene
- Another cloak issue in the dance before the EGM - it got caught on somebody’s head
- Paul and Jamie in particular were on fire in the Polyjuice scene - so so funny and really impressive
- James messed his line in the fight scene between him and Jamie - he covered it well though
- The Scorbus feels were really strong today - such chemistry between Anthony and Sam, it honestly made my heart hurt, especially in the staircase ballet
- I really felt the ‘Part of him likes it and part of him doesn’t’ from Anto today - the way he lingered at the end of the stage was touching
- Anto was actually on fire throughout today - his performance in the library scene was the best I’ve seen him and he was very very funny in the Moaning Myrtle scene.
- He was also really great in the staircase scene he shared with Esther - I don’t know if it’s cause I just watched the bootleg but I got some real Evan Hansen vibes from him
- Noma and Paul were also brilliant today, particularly in their scenes together - the staircase scene and the Dementors kiss scene both moved me to tears
- To be honest the whole cast was just brilliant today - this is the best performance I’ve seen from both Sam and Jamie
- Really great audience today and Anto had them in stitches with his 'Malfoy the Unanxious’ spiel - the whole bedroom scene was just lovely
- He was also great in the 'Dark’ World - he worked so well with Paul B, it was really great to watch
- Noma’s moment with Cherrelle was really genuinely beautiful - I absolutely love how they play that scene and although it’s brief, it means a lot to me
- Today was also the best I’ve seen of Esther - normally I find her to be a bit shouty but she played it really well today
- Some really funny moments in Part 4: the bow Sam and Anto do when they can’t understand the station master made the whole audience laugh; some great comedic timing from both Jamie with his 'There’s lots of things you’re good at, Albus’ comment and from Paul after Draco said his line about liking being bossed about by Hermione
- The hugs were all really lovely today, you could feel the love all around the room. I’ve always loved the hesitance Anto has when Draco first arrives in the past but his hug with James really lingered today and it was just so sweet. There was also a really lovely hug between Sam and Poppy on the bench when they talked about him liking Delphi - I’ve never felt the deep love in their relationship quite like I did today
- Jamie moved me to tears multiple times today but his performance in the scene with Dumbledore was just extraordinary - so so emotional and absolutely brilliant
- James was similarly moving - I absolutely love Alex and I was disappointed to see he wasn’t on but James really was great and so beautiful in his speech about Astoria
- The scene where they all watch James and Lily die is always a hard-hitter but today was especially difficult - both Anto and Sam really impressed but of course it’s Jamie who is just heart-breaking.

I really enjoyed today’s performance, probably more than any of the other times I’ve seen it, and it was all topped off by the fact that I got to meet Jamie ❤️

Hey, do you guys remember how in Sheriff Isaak’s diary it said that as Jacob fell, he cast a spell in his direction, but it evidently missed him? And also, do you remember how that spell is what created Roswell, who was made to protect June?

Well, here’s a thought to fuck up your whole week - maybe Jacob never knew he was pushed. He was standing on the edge of a cliff, after all. Even with someone with as much experience in the mines as him, we all make mistakes sometimes. Maybe he thought, on the way down, he just lost his footing.

So, as he is plummeting to his death, he blindly casts a spell behind him. It’s a special spell, one he’s practiced time and time again for this exact scenario. It was a spell that compelled anyone (or anything) to take care of his daughter and to never, never let harm come to her. In case of emergency, Jacob could easily persuade anyone to take care of his Junebug if a tragedy befell him. He wanted to provide his daughter with a guardian that would never leave her as he did.

Who better to look after her than his very best friend in the whole wide world, Isaak?

Riverview High School Phantom

@rjdaae here’s my review for any interested :)

So yesterday night I saw my first high school production of phantom of the opera. The cast and crew did a spectacular job! Particularly wonderful was the scenery and lighting, the scene shifters did great work.

The cast was much more vocally talented than I would have expected with a high school production. Christine and Carlotta being the standouts for female vocalists and the Phantom and Piangi for males.

I’m not used to writing reviews, so here’s a collection of thoughts in no particular order:

1. The actress playing Christine was extremely short and petite in stature and the actor playing the phantom was very tall with broad shoulders and a large build, so the difference in size was pretty funny. The point of no return sequence ended with the phantom literally picking Christine up and just tossing her over his shoulder and the audience, myself included, found it pretty hilarious.

2. During the title song when Christine and the phantom are walkimg/boating to the lair, the scene shifters are wearing gargoyle masks. The scenery was very clever, consisted of 5 very large boards painted to look like stone and moving back and forth and over to create the illusion the characters were winding their way through a labyrinth and was very well done. I’m not sure why the scene shifters were gargoyles though, Christine visibly reacts to them and is clearly frightened.

3. Masquerade was superbly choreographed but couldn’t help but be distracted by the fact that some of the cast was wearing 1980s style party dresses. All in all the costuming was great though, I have no complaints about the variety of costume and besides this scene, was mostly period appropriate. Oh and during masquerade Raoul was dresses in his orchestra/marching band outfit. Christine wore a white dress and Angel wings. The phantom had his white half mask and a red coat, in a circus ringleader style.

4. The true scene stealers were Carlotta and Piangi. No complaints whatsoever about either actor, costuming, make up vocals and acting were all out of this world. If I had to pick a standout from the whole show most definitely them. She had the audience cracking up with the way she performed the “these things do ‘appen?!?!” Scene. Piangi can be a throwaway character in some performances but this actor went above and beyond.

5. At the end of masquerade the cast made an odd blocking choice. The phantom entered wearing a particularly hideous hat. I don’t know hat types but it was like a bowler hat but…..worse is the best way I can think to describe it. Instead of giving the management his score for don Juan triumphant he takes off his hat and throws it the managers like a frisbee. Is the score in the hat? Are instructions for locating the score in the hat? No idea. Maybe he wanted to get rid of the hat.

6. Makeup for the phantom was very subtle. I saw it pretty up close from where I was sitting and whoever did it did a great job, but it was likely difficult to see anything from further back. For a high school production though it was good, the effort was clearly there. Apparently the mask was custom made and looked great. Excellent job on that.

7. Another odd blocking choice in the final lair scene. At the very end, after the phantom says “make your choice” Christine immediately runs to Raoul and begins fussing over/hugging him. She then sings “pitiful creature of darkness/what kind of life have you known” to Raoul, with her back to the audience, while the phantom picks up the pages of his score she had previously thrown to the ground on the other side of the stage. Only towards the very end of her lines does she turn towards the phantom, then walks over and kisses him. I just thought that was an odd choice because it made the kids seem more like an afterthought than being genuinely moved to compassion.

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head! Let me know if anyone has any specific questions and I’ll happily answer! All in all it was a great show and I really enjoyed it. I might be seeing it again next week.

Awake Part 1

 Title: Awake

Summary: You had just graduated with a degree in English and thanks to some writing competitions you had gotten noticed and offered the job of a life time right out of school. This job was your dream job, you were going to be a writer for the tv show Supernatural, your favorite tv show. The whole cast and crew are very welcoming and kind and you find yourself making some of the best friendships, specifically with the green eyed actor that plays Dean.

Pairing: Jensen Ackles x Reader

Warnings: language, eventual smut in future parts

A/N:  This is an idea I had on a run today, I really hope y’all like it, also this is a world in which he never dated/married Danneel because I could never write a story in which they broke up. Let me know if y’all like this<3

You made yourself outside of the Vancouver International Airport just you and your suitcase. You searched for a taxi and hailed it handing the driver your address and getting in the car. You couldn’t believe you were here, you had just barely graduated college when you were contacted by Mr. Kripke and Mr. Singer saying they’d read some of your horror stories and felt like taking a chance on you as a writer for the show. It was like a dream, Supernatural had been one of your favorite shows for years and you knew the cast and crew were known for getting along really well and to get a writing job in such a great place and with great people on a popular tv show, you kept having to pinch yourself to remind yourself it was all real.  You would be spending the next few months living here to be on set writing and filming. You were a long way from home, but were so excited to follow your dreams.

………………………………….

You had unpacked your suitcase in your little apartment, most of your things had been shipped here by your parents and you were trying to organize everything but kept getting distracted by wine and the Supernatural re-runs you had going on the tv.  You’d be lying if you said you weren’t the most excited to meet a certain green eyed actor. Jensen Ackles was most definitely your celebrity crush, and while you knew he’d never go for you, you hoped that maybe you could at least build a friendship with the man. From interviews Jensen and Jared seemed like such sweet guys you imagined that you would at least be on friendly terms with them eventually, which made you want to squeal with excitement (You did…several times into your pillow). You got your bedroom and bathroom done so that you wouldn’t be scrambling in the morning to get ready. You had to be on set by 7am to meet everyone and get the tour and then you’d be settled in a room with the other writers to get started.

…………………..

Your alarm went off around 5:30am you groaned hitting it off This is your dream job; this is the opportunity of a lifetime don’t complain about waking up early it’s just a slight negative to a perfect job.

You pull yourself out of bed with your pep talk going in your head and take a shower. You needed to be on your way by 6:15 so you hurried your shower and make up process. Then went to your closet to decide on an outfit. You picked out a red cap sleeve dress with little white polka dots on it and buttons all the way down the front of it, it stopped a few inches above your knees and you paired white keds with it remembering what Mr. Kripke had said about how they were pretty casual at work. You looked in the mirror and felt good about the day, you felt cute and smart and prepared, this was the first day of your new life. You grabbed your laptop and put it in your bag with your notebook and pens, you usually liked to hand write ideas before typing out the rough draft. You took one last look at everything and then were on your way.

…………………

So far the morning has gone great, Kripke and Singer were so nice and excited to have you on board. They showed you around a little bit, but had to get to a meeting so they had you wait in one of the offices for someone to come get you and show you around. You were fiddling with your hands and pushing your glasses up where they had slipped when the door opened and you felt like the air had been knocked out of you, “Hey there, Y/N right? I’m Jensen, Eric and Robert told me to come get you and introduce you to everyone and give you the grand tour”. Jensen Ackles was standing in front of you offering his hand out to you to shake oh my god oh my god oh my god, Y/N get ahold of yourself shake his hand, don’t be awkward you got this.

You reached out and grabbed his outstretched hand shaking it, “Uhh ya hi umm ya I’m Y/N, the new writer, I’m a huge fan of the show already so ya I umm know who you are” you stumbled through your words, “oh I’m sorry that sounded kinda creepy, I just meant that I’ve kept up with the show and I’m a fan of yours so I already knew who you were…” Ahhh you’re talking to much shut up

To your surprise though Jensen laughed at your word vomit and gave you a flashing smile, which you immediately returned, “I figured you probably were a fan, Eric and Robert like to have people on board who know the show” he gestured out the door and you followed, “I thought it’d be nice to introduce you to everyone first and then we can walk around the set. I did my scenes already so I’m free all day so if you need anything I’m your guy today just think of me as your Supernatural tour guide until you get used to all of this”

You smiled at him, “Thank you, that really means a lot. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous as hell, of course this is an incredible opportunity it’s a dream job really, my first writing job being on my favorite show, I just keep having to remind myself I’m awake and this is happening and I just want everything to go great and for everyone to like me and I want to write well and…”

“whoa there sweetheart just breathe” Jensen said stopping you in your tracks, he placed his big warm hands on your arms and rubbed them up and down trying to calm you,” you’re going to do great, I can already tell your sweet and there’s no question of everyone loving you, and you obviously are determined and smart otherwise Eric and Robert wouldn’t have hired you, they already know you’re a good writer, you already have a place here, we’re just trying to make you comfortable and welcome you to our weird family” he said getting closer to you as he spoke. You looked up into those beautiful green eye and nodded, “can you breathe for me sweetheart” you took a breath in and out, “perfect, you’re going to be perfect and you’ve got me if you need anything you’ve already made a friend,” You looked up at him and smiled, he really was as kind as he was good looking.

“Thank you, sorry, when I get nervous I can’t shut up” you said giggling.

“That’s alright, it was cute” you felt yourself turn red and smile at this and Jensen offered you a small smile and then put his arm around you and continued walking.

…………………………………

You’d met just about everyone cast and crew except for Jared, Misha, and Mark. They were finishing up their scenes so Jensen had shown you around set while waiting for them to get done.

“And this is my personal trailer” he gestured to the RV looking thing and opened the door to let you walk in,

“This is so cool, this thing is bigger than my whole apartment” you were in awe, it had couches and a tv and bathroom with a shower and even a bed in the back,” hell this is nicer than my apartment too”

Jensen smiled at you, “Would you like some coffee? Jared put one of those Keurig things in here” you nodded and took a seat on the couch. He walked over and handed you the mug of coffee and sat beside you with is. The two of you talked about your families and where you grew up sharing stories. The two of you were laughing so hard there were tears coming out of your eyes.

“What’s going on in here?”

“Sounds like fun in here!” you and Jensen turned towards the door and you saw two more of your favorite actors stepping in.
“Hey guys! I’d like you to meet Y/F/N, Y/L/N. She’s the new writer that Eric and Robert hired, I’m sure you already know who they are since you watch the show but this is Jared and Misha” They smiled at you and you went to offer your hand out but Misha just went straight into a hug, you giggled and hugged him back, and then the giant that is Jared gave you a hug that just about crushed you, “It’s so nice to meet you guys, I’m a huge fan of the show, hopefully I can do it justice”

“If you’re a fan I’m sure you will. I read some of your short stories, the ones that Eric and Robert were crazy about, you’re a fantastic writer you’ll do great” Jared said with a huge smile on his face. You couldn’t believe he’d read some of your work, it was just the confidence boost you needed. The four of you sat in Jensen’s trailer goofing around, you couldn’t remember a time you’d laughed this hard.

“Oh my gosh you guys are killing me, I’m gonna throw up from laughing so hard” you said holding your stomach and wiping the tears from your eyes

“Me and Misha have to get back to filming” Jared said looking at his watch “but come by later and we’ll introduce you to Mark and Gen and then maybe we can all hang out tonight if you’re not busy”

“That sounds great thank you” you smiled at them as they walked out.

“Well I guess I’d better return you to the writers, they’ll want you to actually do work soon” Jensen said sounding almost sad. The two of you walked back to those offices to find Eric and Robert and they talked you through the writing process and how they decide who writes what and how they collaborate and make sure everything lines up all while Jensen sat in the seat next to you, you kept reminding yourself he was just a kind guy and wanted to make sure the newest and youngest person on set was comfortable.

“where will I be doing the work?” you asked wondering where you would be writing.

“Like we said earlier we’re very casual and laid back, everyone has a different writing process so everyone just kinda spreads out wherever they work best and then at the end of the day we come together and discuss it all and set up the episodes. So basically where ever on the lot is free game as long as you get your work done. Well we have to go to another meeting so we’ll see you at lunch maybe and then at the end of the day, we meet once all of the scenes have been shot so there’s never really a set time we’re done each day”

You nodded and smiled at this, “Sounds perfect thank you so much”. As they walked out Jensen turned to you and you noticed he seemed nervous, he rubbed the back of his neck and began to talk, “Ya know, if you want to, and don’t feel like you have to, but you’re more than welcome to write in my trailer, it’s got everything you could need and is quiet most of the time…”

Your heart skipped a beat, “I wouldn’t be in the way? I wouldn’t want to take over your space or make you feel like you couldn’t use your own trailer”

“No not at all, it’d be nice to have you there during my breaks or when I’m getting ready and stuff, as long as you wouldn’t mind me distracting you every now and then” he smirked at you.

“That sounds like the perfect set up, thank you Jensen” you smiled back at him and he lead you out to the trailer again. “I don’t have anything to do today so I’ll just watch tv and try to get out of your hair while you write” he said going towards the bed that was situated in front of the tv.

“Please tell me if there’s anything I can do to say thank you or if I’m ever bothering you just tell me to leave, I don’t ever want to get in the way or annoy you while you’re trying to rest…”

“Sweetheart you need to breathe again” He said chuckling, “come to think of it there is one thing that I’ll need you to do if you’re going to use my trailer” you looked at him curiously, “you’re going to have to eat with me during the lunch break every day” you started to giggle at this and he smiled.

“I would be more than happy to eat lunch with you Jensen”

“Good, alright well I’ll let you get to writing, we can get lunch in a few hours and hopefully you can meet everyone else then.” He smiled and laid down on the bed.

You couldn’t help but think that your first day on the job had gotten off to the best possible start it could’ve.

revelation.  while i’m by no means happy with the official confirmation of mtv’s scream receiving a reboot, i wish the new team and cast nothing but the best. scream as a whole, both the films  &  the show, mean the world to me and i will be tuning in for the revamped third season. i’ll be continuing to write emma as there are still so many things i wish to do with her character. considering the fate of her source material, i also have a lot more freedom. i’m always down to plot  &  write with other scream muses and build alternate verses or what could have been. i love everyone that i’ve met through scream so much, whether it be on kirby, noah, or here. insert cheesy don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened quote.

Cast of Persona 5 revealed!

It’s about an aloof protagonist:

his jackass magician arcana-wielding best friend,

a brunette girl who is often annoyed with said jackass,

“girl-who-has-it-all” friend of the brunette,

the blue-eyed, blonde haired comic relief who doesn’t fully understand our world,

the lil’ sweetheart who provides backup support,

the “tough guy” who is skilled in a traditionally feminine skill,

THE BODY OF A CHILD, THE BRAIN OF A GENIUS

the seeming nice guy in his mid-20s who you shouldn’t be trusting,

and that weirdo from the beginning who was behind it the whole time

Review of Harry Potter and the cursed child (play)

Hello!. So on Sunday 1st January i finally got to see Harry Potter and the cursed child in the Palace Theatre in London. And here is what i think:

It was absolutly incredible!!! One of the best shows i have seen so far (and i saw a lot of shows on west end). It was beautifully artistic and it nearly made me cry several times which means a lot.

The Plot

I know a lot of people don’t like the plot, but it worked so great on stage. I loved the plot, it was exciting until the end. It is not perfect of course (there is nothing that’s perfect not even the original books) but the plot was very good, i loved the time travelling and it served it’s main purpose: character development. Other than the books or fantastic beast cursed child is not about adventure or about the world and the plot so much, but it’s about interesting characters and character development, mainly about the development of Harrys and Albus’ father son relationship. So the main focus is not on the plot, but on the characters. So i will move on to the characters.

The characters/actors

I saw the whole main cast (which made me really happy) so here we go:

Harry James Potter

I saw Jamie Parker as Harry Potter and i can’t say enough how amazing he is. His performance was one of the best performances i ever got to see on a stage and this man is so talented it’s not normal any more. His portrayal of Harry’s pain about his relationship to Albus and about his haunting memories of the past was beautiful. His screams in Harry‘s nightmare scenes were bonechilling and we see how much Harry as a young adult with all this preasure on him is still haunted by his past. At the beginning of the play Jamie plays Harry very sorrowless and happy, we see what a loving father he is and Jamie Parker has great charisma on stage. With the developement of the plot however, Harry gets more and more stressed, there is a lot of preasure on him and Jamie‘s portrayal gets darker and he shows us the troubled but beautifully complex and very emotional human being. We see how much he loves his son and is trying to be a good father, but he has no idea how to show Albus his love. Harry as an interesting character is beautifully written and Jamie Parker brought Harry from the books to life on stage. I think he is perfectly casted and one of the most talented actors on the west end.

Albus Severus Potter

I saw Sam Clemmett as Albus Potter and he was amazing. His portrayal of Albus shows how angry Albus was and we understand why he is so angry. Everyone expects him to be like what they think Harry was: a perfect human being (which Harry of course wasn’t ). It must be very very hard to see that all your siblings go to Griffindor and are popular and you are sorted into Slytherin. He makes Harry‘s fame responsible for his suffering (and bullying in school) and that’s why he behaves the way to Harry as he does. He doesn’t want to see the famous Harry Potter he wants to see his father which is very hard for both of them. The most important scene in the whole play is the blanket scene in part one act one. The scene was tragically beautifully played by both Sam and Jamie and you could see that they both understood their characters perfectly.

Sam had great on stage chemistry with Jamie and Poppy (Ginny ) and with Anthony (Scorpius) of course. These two boys were brilliant together. Sam is an amazing and very young actor and we will definetly see more of him in te futute.

Ginny Potter

I saw Poppy Miller as Ginny and she was awesome (you will hear this a lot). In the movies i never really liked Ginny and i don’t think Bonny Wright did much for her character, it was so refreshing to see the strong and fierce Ginny we love so much from the books. Poppy portrays Ginny as a strong woman, a loving mother and as a very supportive wife (she has one moment when she doubts Harry, but this flaw and her apology just made her character more interesting and beautiful). She and Jamie had amazing chemistry and the kiss was so adorable. My favourite Ginny line, which is perfectly presented by Poppy, is when she answeres Draco with “my son is missing too!” Poppy literally screams this line and it’s such a strong moment (Draco‘s /Alex’ reaction is priceless).

Hermione Jean Granger

I saw Noma Dumenzweni as Hermione and you can tell me whatever you want but this woman was born to play Hermione Granger. She is one of those very rare actors/actresses who have such an authority when they enter the stage. Her Hermione was so strong and fierce as i remembered her from the books and she played such an amazing Minister of Magic (i really can’t imagine Emma Watson playing Hermione as Minister of Magic, it really wouldn’t fit for me as i always found Emma to be not strong and bossy enough to play Hermione). But Noma also has some beautiful soft scenes in the play e.g. in her kissing scene with Ron (they are a perfect couple) and this one scene after they changed back time and she sees Rose and then fully realized that her daughter didn’t excist in the other universe and they share a very heartbreaking hug. I don’t care about her skin colour or that some idiots think that she is too ugly to play Hermione, she was incredible and perfect in my eyes.

Ron(ald) Weasley

I saw Paul Thorne as Ron Weasley and it was such a delight watching him. Ron has a lot of funny moments in the play , which paul played masterly, he is trying to be the light in those dark moments, but at the same time he is still the good friend we saw in the books. He stands up for his wife and his friend and Paul made me love Ron even more. He had amazing chemistry with Noma and their kissing scene was so cute and heartwarming.

Rose Granger Weasley

I saw Cherrelle Skeete as Rose. When reading the script book first i didn’t like Rose that much, but Cherrele managed to let me see the Hermione part more in her and i actually really liked Rose in the play. She gives a very energetic performance and had some good moments with Scorpius. I think i saw not enough of her to properly judge her, but i think she is a very talented young actress.

Draco Malfoy

I saw Alex Price as Draco and he was amazing. In the first part he portrays Draco as we all know him from the books (at the beginning he is a little brat), but the more we get into the play we see the real Draco, he loves his son more than anything like Harry does (and yes they have a lot of father son issues too) and he gets more and more in touch with Harry, Ginny and Ron and Hermione as he has the same problem as Harry, his son is missing. To see Draco working with the golden trio makes a really great dynamic at the end of the play. I also love that through Alex incredible acting we see how lonely Draco always has felt and that he indeed is not a bad human being but a very interesting and developed character.

Scorpius Malfoy

I saw Anthony Boyle as Scorpius Malfoy and i tell you if Jamie Parker wouldn’t have been such an incredible actor this young man would have totally stolen the show. It’s very hard to describe Anthony’s acting and his high voice but this young actor is something special. I don’t think anyone came out of the theatre not totally in love with Scorpius Malfoy. Anthony has perfect comedic timing and he was so talented in the more silent scenes (i swear i saw a tear in his eyes). Whoever will play the part on Broadway has some big shoes to fill and in my opinion has to go with a totally different interpretation of Scorpius because you can’t imitate Anthony Boyle.

Before this blog gets even longer i won’t go into detail about the other actors, but i have to especially mention Esther Smith as Delphi and Paul Bennett as Snape for doing an especially great job.

The special effects

Please don’t ask me how they do it! The special effects are incredible, they are like real magic and with some tricks i still have no clue how they do it . I was sitting there with my jaw open and it was just magical. I can’t even say what i loved best it was all so amazing. But please never let the Dementors near me again. They were so creepy and frightening, amazingly made, but so creepy, not to even mention their terrifying screams. I never felt that horrified in my life before, i guess that’s the biggest compliment i can make the person, whoever designed them.

The costumes

All of the costumes were beautiful and fitted the characters very well. I loved how flowy the cloakes were, what looked really good in the dance numbers. I especially liked the costumes for the alternate Voldemort timeline, they were all black and so beautifully elegant especially Scorpius‘, Draco’s and Snape’s costumes.

Things i didn’t like

There wasn’t much that i didn’t like and it’s really just nitpicking, but every great thing always has some flaws that’s normal.

First of all i had some problems with some specific actors, mainly with the actor who played Bane. He was so over the top that it was nearly hilarious to me. Maybe he had a bad day or just is not my cup of tea.

As much as i loved Paul Bennett as Snape his voice was way too special to play Voldemort as well, it was a little bit outputting as it was very clear that it was the same actor. Normally theatre can hide it very well when an actor plays multiple roles, but that really doesn’t work with Paul Bennett. I really loved his Snape (which means a lot form e as a hardcore Snape fan), but because he was so special and fitted so well to Snape, it was to me as Snape tried to pretend he is Voldemort, which felt really weird to me. And i really didn’t like that they went with no nose ,new body Voldemort as up to my knowlegde he only looks like this since book four. I guess they made it so the audience can recognize him better.

The last things i wasn’t too fond of (but didn’t hate either) were the Trolley Witch (it was very cleverly made and funny just a little bit too much for me personally) and Delphi. I loved Esthers portrayal of her especially at the beginning and i don’t have anything against the idea of Voldemort having a child and overall i liked Delphi, but they could have developed her character a little bit more at the end, that’s all.  As i said nitpicking.

All in all it was one of the best days of my life and the show is amazing and i love it with all my heart. If you have a chance to see it: DO IT!!! It is one of the most beautiful Harry Potter related things i have seen and please don’t judge it too soon by just reading the script. The script is very empty without seeing this wonderful show bringing it to life

I know this blog is very long, but i hope you enjoyed <3
