Trois Couleurs: Bleu (aka Three Colors: Blue), Krzysztof Kieslowski (1993)

I don’t really now what to write about this film. It’s a beautiful introspection into Julie Vignon (Juliette Binoche’s character), I love how the color is the most intimate thing about her character. The intensity of her emotions are mirrored by the presence of blue. I have no knowledge whatsoever of sheet music (or about composing) but the way it’s dealt with seemed beautiful to me. It’s weird because there’s a lot of drama in this film but it doesn’t feel that dramatic. We’re given Julie’s POV and she is constantly trying to shut all of that out.
