MASTERLIST

Dean felt restless. He had been since the moment she had left. He wasn’t able to stay as calm and collected as before, now that he knew she felt the same about him. He went over their conversation over and over again in his head. He wondered if he should have pushed her away, made her believe that he had used her. Would her hating him have made her safer? Honestly, Dean wasn’t sure, but then there was also the simple truth that he couldn’t lie to her. He couldn’t hurt her. Not anymore than he already had. “Excuse me?” Sam stared at his brother with a look of disbelief in his eyes and Dean took a deep breath, leaning back in his chair.

“You’re a state prosecutor, Sammy. You’re breaking the law by being here. I don’t wanna get you in trouble, little brother,” Dean forced a smile, trying to calm Sam. All his life he had been looking out for the boy. There was no way in hell he was letting Sam land himself in prison for him.

“Not anymore,” Sam answered with a stubborn look on his face. A look Dean had learned better than to challenge, but the shock made him forget that.
