“Heaven Knows What is an oppressively bleak yet captivating examination of a subculture most New Yorkers actively overlook: those unkempt young vagrants who ask for money on sidewalks and make pedestrians suddenly begin pantomime-typing on their phones as they hurriedly walk by the less-fortunate people lying on cardboard boxes. Marauding throughout the Upper West Side, Harley gets high in Central Park, steals 5-Hour Energy drinks from corner stores and sells them to bodega owners to fund her drug habits, wakes up from skag hangovers in foreign, ramshackle beds, and begs subway patrons for free MetroCard swipes. It all feels lived-in, not acted out.”
Benny didn’t know if he was the only one that Y/N’s heart wanted. He wasn’t sure if he should give up hope that he would ever be the only one. She’s such a teaser, always keeping him guessing on how she felt yet she’s such a star. She was beautiful and intelligent, she was what Benny believed to be the perfect girl for him. He was falling head over heels for her but he wanted a reason why she would never commit or at least a chance for Benny to show Y/N what she was missing because the not knowing was tearing him apart. He was doing all he can do just to be close to Y/N because every time they were close, Benny’s heart would skip a beat. She was always the type of girl who was up for a laugh and she could be a pain sometimes. Yet, he still skipped a heartbeat.
