Kindness extended, received or observed beneficially impacts the physical health and feelings of everyone involved.

The Wayhaven Chronicles- Update 20/10/17

I finished Chapter 16! It actually wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be :D It was just a lot of split scenes- but each had the same basic structure to them, so that made it a lot smoother.

When I told my mum I was this far in, she reminded me that I’m only 5 chapters from the end.

5 CHAPTERS! That’s it :D I can count them down on one hand! It’s nice to realise I really am getting somewhere with this, lol. I can definitely start to see the light at the end!

I also finally got to introduce something in Chapter 16 which will play a part throughout the series- something not so beneficial for the vampires- and also it hinted at something that will be a big plot point (especially for the MC) later in the books as well. Just tiny hint, but it’s there ;)

Chapter 17 is another split scene one, so it might take a while. But hopefully, it will go just as smoothly as Chapter 16 ended up going :D

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and I’ll speak to you all on Monday! :)

Are you in love with Luciano Vargas? Why?

A few months went by and like most children we made a dumb promise to ‘marry’ when we were old enough. He didn’t care that I was male, he found me cute (in the adorable sense) and when you are that little that’s all that matters at first. Of course, we remained friends due to enjoying one another’s company.

Then… Okaasan and Otousan got a new job in Japan, and thought it would be more beneficial for me due to the bullying in Italy. I was heartbroken- my prince would be so far away from me… Alas I can’t say no, so off I went. I never lost the thought of Luciano. I painted him regularly, kept his image ingrained in my head. Hell, I made sure to do brain ‘exercises’ to make sure I memorized his features. I was intent on seeing him again. Over time my obsession slowed… After all, you can only hold on to hope for so long. I even tried dating other people, got slightly intimate, but I just… Couldn’t forget about Luciano. I longed for him, and no one could replace him.

When I begun my first year in Senior high, I found him. I finally found him. I had to make sure it was the Luciano though, and due to past attempts to find Luciano’s location, I was easily able to find every bit of information on him in the schools system. Using that, I was able to find out that it was indeed Luciano from my childhood. Turns out his parents moved here too for a similar reason, but they moved when I started my last year of Junior high. Luciano was a year older than me, so I didn’t even know he was here for a full year.

But now he is here. I’m sure he doesn’t remember our childhood, and I would never blame him for that. It was so long ago, and I’m far from normal. I treated Luciano as if I barely knew him, only using the “Oh hey, I think we went to the same school together” line as an icebreaker and an excuse to have a conversation with him. Me and Luciano are close now, and I am awaiting the day he will ask me out. Not sure when that will happen, but until then, I’ll eliminate anyone who threatens that possibility. So far, I have no ‘rivals’, and I hope it will remain that way.

I lost Luciano once, I will not let that happen again.

Jack is lost right now. He doesn’t know what his purpose is. He doesn’t fit in. Sounds like anyone we adore? Cas felt like that as well, even after all the years he has spent with the Winchester’s. He felt like an outsider even though he considers Sam and Dean his family. Even though he loves Dean, he loves all of them. And I think that it’ll be beneficial to Jack to have Cas by his side because Cas has been through what he’s going through. Cas will understand. Cas can show him that he has freewill, that he can use his powers for good, that his parentage doesn’t define him, that he is loved. Cas believed in him, gave his life for him. I’m sure that when Cas comes back things will get a bit more bearable for him. And I think Dean’s anger, pain, desolation, and hopelessness will be appeased greatly. And he’ll be able to see things clearly.

Assalamu’alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu everyone,

I know I haven’t been around lately but forgive me as I have moved to another country. Alhamdulillah.

I have started a #FajrThoughts via my instagram account where I would be sharing gems I’ve stumbled upon as I pursue the path of knowledge. It would be an honor for me to bring you along with me in this journey of seeking knowledge.

It is a daily dose of reminders and thought-provoking sayings from the blessed scholars of Islam. Since I’m still settling down, I can’t find enough time to write and narrate the stories properly yet so for now, those who still want to be updated daily about my reminders, this is the handle.

In sha Allah, I will be back by last week of November. in sha Allah. May Allah prolong our lives and fill it with beneficial guidance and abundant Mercy from Him. Amin

You don’t need to follow me there, as the #Fajrthoughts will be shared via insta-stories, so you just need to click on the profile photo. in sha Allah.

Jazakallahu Khayran.

Entry 225,

On the eve of our move to her free company estate I paid a visit to Faye. While her house is one of the most darling things I’ve ever seen and the teahouse is an appealing idea, the true reason I wanted to ally myself with her was that she’s getting into the information business. And with the path I’m walking, venturing into politics, the aid of an information broker would certainly be beneficial to me.

Faye let me in on the true nature of her new venture out of trust, and so I repaid her trust in kind, I let her know up front what I wanted from her and what I would be willing to do to help her. There was a mutual respect there, and I’m glad. Faye seems a very reliable woman and I’m glad to know someone like her.

I hope she can produce results on the jobs that I’ve given her.

I can't cut my hair because my parents won't let me until I move out (probably next year) and it's driving me insane. How do I deal with it till then?

I assume you can’t argue with your parents about getting your hair cut into a girls, short haircut which really sucks, so here’s some suggestions.

Hats are your best friend in this case, along with hoodies. Tucking it into beanies, hats, etc can be pretty beneficial as a temporary solution. Or, just tucking it into a jacket or sweatshirt (so hair behind your neck will be covered). If none of these work for you, getting a hairstyle for men with long(er) hair can be a good option (at least this way you’re making a bit of progress with transition etc). If your parents don’t like the idea, you could possibly find a more gender neutral long hairstyle that your parents would approve of. Also remember, gender doesn’t equal your hairstyle, and that your parent’s rules are only temporary. Hopefully this helped a bit.

Do you think intermittent fasting is a good idea? I can’t do proper water fasting because I end up getting really dizzy and I can’t concentrate and I end up binging really bad but then I feel really fat and bad and hate myself so what can I do?

intermittent fasting has to been proven to help weightloss and is probably a lot more beneficial than long term fasts

the idea of two aromantic platonic partners having a “convenience marriage” is like my favorite thing right now I’m both getting really excited and cracking up over the possibilities I mean just imagine:

  • “we got married because of tax benefits”
  • “we got married because it gave us an excuse to have sleepovers every night
  • “we got married because it seemed convenient to ‘pool our assets’ (aka our library is now twice as big, as is our collection of Disney movies)”
  • “we got married because it gave us an excuse to ask for toasters from people as wedding gifts”

Living by the Moon

The Moon.

Even if you don’t believe in astrology, you cannot deny the powerful effect the Moon has;
upon our tides, upon nature and upon the Human mind.
For She lights up the night, so we in the dark may see.

As of my writing this, a New Moon has just occurred in the sign of the scales, Libra ♎︎
A New Moon marks the beginning of the lunar month, a cycle that lasts for between 29 and 30 days.

In my experience it is very beneficial to live by the rhythm of the Moon. This way we can work on our creating our future, the way we would like it to be, one month at a time. But how?

NEW MOON/ SET AN INTENTION:

Whilst the moon is lightless, crossing in front of the sun, set your goal, what do you want to have achieved in 30 days time?

Perhaps set one big goal, and several smaller ones, which may or may not be directly supporting the larger goal - just ensure you avoid spreading yourself too thin. The New Moon is the perfect time to decide to try something new for a month.

WAXING MOON/ WORK:

Now one day at a time, with your goals in mind, work towards making them a reality. Avoid expecting too much at once, and take each day as it comes!

FULL MOON/ CELEBRATION:

As this is the brightest the moon is during her cycle it is possible that one’s intentions can manifest at this time of the month, but in any case it is a point to recognise how far you have come over the last two weeks - if you have been working steadily towards your targets you will definitely notice your improvements since you began. This may also be the time in which you realise your vision, and see the potential final form your project might take! It’s a time to celebrate!

WANING MOON/ MANAGING:

As the Moon’s light begins to turn away from the earth, one’s focus shifts from building up towards the goal to maintaining the infrastructure they have already implemented. This is the time to make tweaks and ensure that the details are indeed all in place and as they should be; perform any trimming and pruning as you see fit to ensure your project’s longevity.

BLACK MOON/ CLEANSING:

Once the waning crescent disappears from the night sky, vanishing into the rays of dawn, we reach the end of our cycle. At this time we must review the past month, how did we perform, what was successful, where could we have improved?
Through this process of review we can identify what held us back, and make the conscious decision to let it go, to banish it from us, so that we may enter the next cycle without baggage and doubt; cleansed and ready to take on the next month!

You may find it particularly beneficial to choose a project that is associated with the the sign of the New Moon, this month is ♎︎ Libra so subjects related to art, law, relationships and balance will naturally take focus in some way for the month. The next Full Moon will be in ♉︎ Taurus which is associated with ART, BEAUTY & NATURE ~ it really is the perfect time for Deviants to try out experimenting with a new medium, technique or subject for the month and really make use of the chance to kickstart some growth in your art form!

All the best & enjoy working by the Moon’s Light.

Morally Grey But Still Likable?

Writing morally grey characters readers will love.

@coinsanddeadlypoisons asked:

Do you have any tips about writing from the point of view of a manipulative character? I don’t want him to be an asshole but i am afraid the readers would see him as such.

The large majority of the characters in The Warlord’s Contract are morally grey in one way or another, with one in particular being rather manipulative, and I’ve found that the same basic principles and tricks apply to them all, no matter which negative “asshole” attributes they exhibit.

1. Why do they do what they do?

Readers will forgive most morally gray actions if they feel the character has a good reason for it. This reason can be anything number of things, often compounded. These include, but are not limited to:

  • The character’s goal is worth the sins they commit in the process.
  • Their past has conditioned them to do what they do.
  • They believe that they (or someone else) will suffer if they don’t.
  • They believe everyone else is already doing the same and they’re evening the playing field.
  • They believe their actions will benefit others in the long run.
  • They’re convinced they’ll be hurt if they don’t do it.

The reason(s) you character has do doing what they do should also make sense within the context of the story itself. Thematically, it should match or mirror other cause and effect situations you’re presenting, and it should fit (and often intertwine) with the character’s backstory and personality.

Juno in the Signs & Houses

Juno was the third asteroid to be discovered. Juno is the wife of Jupiter. She has some similarities to Venus, but while Venus sparks that initial attraction, Juno makes the commitment. She sings of soul mates. As she moves through the sky, the face of relationships change, but she still stands for commitment of one kind or another.

Where you find Juno in your chart is where you may meet someone that you will remain with for a long relationship. She covers marriage, fashion and beauty. She is the patron of relationships and true love. Diplomacy is part of her sphere.

She has influence with the weather, flowers, fairness and female genitalia. She also dealt with many of Jupiter’s infidelities and thus has influence over the negative issues of spouse abuse, powerlessness, women’s rights (both positive and negative), rage, inferiority complexes and unfairness. She may also affect issues of denial, betrayal, inequality and of course bitterness.

Juno in Aries

Juno in Aries needs their own autonomy. If they don’t get that in a relationship they may end up with migraines or other physical displays of upset. They tend to be attracted to partners that are aggressive or dominant. While they want their own freedom, they also want a mate who will be an authority figure. They may see their partners as someone to compete with. They like to go adventuring together. They may need to learn how to develop balance in their relationships so both partners can pursue their own needs.

Juno in the 1st House
