1. What was the most memorable book you read in 2012?
The Fault In Our Stars. I have never laughed and cried so much while reading a book. I’m normally one to read Sci-Fi and Fantasy books and not the more real life fictional books, but John Green has a way of writing that really connects you to the characters and shows you new things you never thought of before. I’m just glad he didn’t end it with
2. Texting, emailing, skyping, or old fashioned mail?
Personally, I love skyping, but no one I knows skypes. So my preferred method of communication is text.
3. If you could change one thing about the last movie you watched, what would it be?
Star Wars VI was the last movie I watched and I wouldn’t have had all the changes they made to the original in it. I would leave it as old Anakin not the new one and leave the Ewok song in.
4. What did you find was the biggest let down of 2012?
I lost my job. Well the girl I was working with at my job. I really loved working with her and it was such a great job, but now I’m not and it’s sad.
5. What did you find was the biggest pleasant surprise of 2012?
My mom saying yes and actually going to London with me. I might wish for longer time and not two incredibly long trips back to back, but it was a lot of fun.
6. What’s the one tv/movie/book series etc that you see all over and are sure that you will never ever get into?
The Vampire Diaries. I just can’t… no
7. How would you feel if you discovered that you had a twin that your parents never told you about?
I would be upset they didn’t tell me, but probably understand when they told me why because I’m sure they had a good reason. I would be really excited to meet her and hope we have things in common.
8. What’s the most pointless, useless thing in your wallet/purse?
A giant paper clip. I found it at my old work. I don’t know why it was there, but I wanted it.
9. Answer with an image (if you can find one) of your favourite book cover.
Born of Black and White,
Eaten with worms,
I’m a Saint, a Sinner, a Siren of the Word,
The Circle knows me,
the rest just wanna trip on Grace Juice, Baby.
Showdown at midnight.
(That’s what it says on his silhouette)
10. Wax lyrical about whom you consider to be the greatest fictional villain ever created - whether they be from a movie, a book, a comic, a webcomic, a web-series…
I hate you so much for this one!! There are just so many villains I love!! I CAN’T PICK ONE THAT IS ABSOLUTELY THE GREATEST!!!
I honestly can’t chose one that is the best, because there are so many aspects that make up different villains that people love and there are different reasons they are great. It is way too hard to just choose one.
We have the ones that are loved because no matter how evil they are they have that glimpse of goodness in them and you want them to embrace it, but you love their villainy at the same time. To name one, Loki (more in the movie than the comics) is evil and awful, but no matter what there is Thor constantly wanting to forgive him and give him a chance and there’s this part of him that seems like he might want to go back.
Then you have those that are fighting for something good and it’s slowly twisted darker and darker, such as Morgana. Clearly what she doing is right in a way. She wants magic to be legal, and what’s wrong with that? But she starts off not evil, but slowly twists darker and darker. She is even tortured into a darker creature and willing to do anything she can to get what she wants. She gets terrifying at some parts, because you know what she’s capable of and how much she can hurt those around her if she chose to. However, through all of that, you can’t help but sympathize with her for a lot of things that have happened to her and were forced onto her.
On the other side, you have the Sephiroths and Scars, who are terrifying and cruel and show no sign of remorse. They are completely sure what they are doing is right that they don’t care who they hurt in the way. And just face it, Scar’s song in Lion King was badass and scary. AND you can not tell me your heart didn’t start beating a mile a minute when you started hearing “One Winged Angel” start playing before Sephy appeared.
Then of course, there are the Jokers. The characters that just love causing pain and chaos just for the sake of doing it. The revel in hurting others. They just want to watch the world burn. There is an allure to them in that you don’t know why they are doing it. You want to discover what twisted them into causing such pain or what they are really planning, but there’s nothing shown. So you just get a villain who could potentially do anything, this is terrifying. They could murder anyone at any given moment, destroy hospitals, cause the heroes pain by going after loved ones, or simply inconvenience others by double parking.
There are many other things that make a great villain. Some people like getting to see the humanity in them, some just like pure evil who are willing to do whatever, while others like the villain to be justified in what they do despite going about it the wrong way. Others like other things. There are so many things that make a great villain that I honestly don’t think one villain could encompass all of that.
So all in all, I could not choose who I think the greatest villain is because I am intrigued by all the different villains and there reasons or lack thereof for what they do. They can all be considered great, but there isn’t one that is truly the greatest.
Then again, Dimentio in Super Paper Mario is pretty freakin’ awesome. Seriously, dude is crazy. I adore him.
I’m exhausted right now and don’t want to write a longer essay. I HATE YOU BEN!!!!!!!! I HATE YOU! GO DIE!! WHY DID I WRITE THIS?!!! WHY????
