On my summer to-do list is have a picnic in Bell Isle Park. It’s an island between Detroit and Canada, and similar to Toronto’s Islands, except they have a bridge to it.
I was sitting in my apartment this afternoon and saw the beautiful light and fluffy clouds flying by (yes, flying by, it was so windy today!) so I grabbed my jacket and spontaneously headed to Bell Isle to see if I could get a good view of the sunset.
It was a beautiful evening to top off this Detroit weekend. :)
Let’s take a journey to one of the most beautiful places in Detroit, Belle Isle Conservatory. Designed by Albert Kahn in 1904 alongside the Aquarium, the greenhouse and botanical garden is open free to the public.
It’s difficult to enter and not be taken back by the beauty.
