Kitchen Favours - Part 2

You asked for a part two. I gave you a part two. Though its probably not as good as you wanted!
Prompt: After their moment in Pop’s kitchen, Jughead tries to confront Y/N about what happened.
Warning: Smut reference.
Part One

The day after yours and Jughead’s heated moment you find yourself back at the scene of the crime. Back at Pop’s for yet another shift, one you were happy to work as it was one of the few where you didn’t have the dark haired devil that was Jughead Jones. A name that hadn’t released your lips since you moaned it in his ear just last night.
Oh, last night…
As soon as Pop’s entered the diner, you both fumbled trying to grab your shirts, sooth your hair before Pop’s saw the two kids he had known since they were children about to loose the last of their innocence on the kitchen counter of his own diner.

Neither of you spoke a word to each other after that. The flirty jokes which had become common between the two of you halted in an almost un-natural manner, one you hoped Pop’s hadn’t picked up on. You left the diner the second your shift ended, not even saying goodbye to the boy who had waited behind just to keep you company.

When An Ex Tries Getting Back With His Pregnant Wife (Vampire AU/ Requested)

~Kim Namjoon~

Namjoon needed to feed, and it would be a cold day in hell before he left you alone. So you both went on a late night “walk” in the park. You found a nice, empty bench and rubbed your swollen stomach. Namjoon stood before you in his heavy black cloak with his hood pulled up and mask shielding the lower part of his face.

He sat his hand on your cheek and smirked under his mask when you nuzzled into his palm.

“Stay right here. I’ll be back soon.” Then he faded into the night and you were left alone. A few couples were walking around, cuddling up to each other and enjoying the crisp night air. A man in a sweatshirt approached you with his hands tucked in his pockets.

“Y/n is that you?” You jerked your sweater closer to you body when his face came into the street light. It was your ex. The one who had left you for another woman. You narrowed your eyes at his face.

“Get lost.” You scoffed. He wasn’t having you ignoring him. He snatched your worst and tugged you close enough that you could smell the alcohol on his breath. You heard a distinctive growl that had you grinning from ear to ear.

Namjoon pinned your ex to the bench with one hand, fangs baring in the moonlight. “To-go food? My favorite.”

Jin pressed his ear to your belly. Having supersonic hearing had its perks when he could hear the baby’s heartbeat. You laughed and ran your fingers through his soft hair. It was late evening and the sun was just setting.

“Baby, I need to feed. Are you alright by yourself?” You were sitting outside of a brightly lit cafe. You gave Jin a reassuring smile and a deep kiss on his mouth. “That’s my girl.”

He took off across the street and you were left alone. You always welcomed the night. More than the daytime anyway. The bell on the diner dinged but you didn’t pay much attention to it. Until the figure drew closer.

“I knew that was you Y/n. How have you been?” You drew your lips in a tight line and tried to ignore than man you knew too well. “Cmon baby. I know you miss me. Why don’t you come with me-”

“Back off punk!” Your ex was slammed into the glass of the cafe. You could hear the customers gasp and scream as the glass began to crack under the force.

“Jin? C'mon baby. Let’s not make a scene.” You rubbed your tummy with one hand and tried to drag Jin away with the other. He dropped the deadbeat onto the ground and wrapped an arm around your shoulder.

“Sorry my love. You can say I’m a little overprotective of you.”

Yoongi watched you scan through the variety of toys from outside of the store. He leaned against the large glass and watched with amusement. Your face lit up when you picked up the squeaky duck. Yoongi chuckled to himself under his mask.

You were always a happy person, completely opposite of him. So when he saw you laugh, that lit up his entire world. He had seen the man stalking you for awhile now but he put it off to chance until he approached you.

“Y/n? How are you? I haven’t seen you in forever!” Yoongi’s sensitive picked up the deep voice in a second. You were visibly uncomfortable, wrapping your arms around the bump in your stomach. “We should go out for coffee sometime. I don’t see a baby daddy anywhere.”

“The baby daddy is right here.” Yoongi was in front of the man within the blink of an eye. The man stumbled back, a scream on the tip of his tongue. “Why don’t you go back to where you came from? Before I get hungry.” Yoongi licked his lips, white fangs flashing.

Hobi laughed as you waddled out of the movies, cradling your swollen belly. You were rather active for a pregnant woman. Although you never one to sit still even before pregnancy. He easily caught up with your short steps and sniffed the air.

“Ah, that popcorn didn’t really hit the spot.” You knew what he was hinting at. You patted his arm and gave a small smile to show him you understood. “Don’t go far okay? I’ll be right back.”

Hobi vanished and you were left leaning against the theater wall. Footsteps approached you and the hood of a jacket was pushed back. “Y/n? I knew that was you inside! It was hard to tell by how dark it was.” Your ex.

You but the inside of your cheek and tried to ignore him. Until he became far too close. His warm breath fanned over your cheek and you tensed and tried to push him away.

“Hey now! My apartment isn’t far from here.”

“Neither is ours.” Hobi grabbed the jerk by his collar and slammed him against the wall. His mouth was smeared with blood and the tip of a fang held a bit of flesh. “I could go for seconds.”

Jimin chuckled as you kicked your feet over the pier. Late night walks on the beach were always your favorite. Even before you met Jimin. So when the little one inside of you stirred, he was more than happy to help you out to the pier not far from the cottage.

“Mm, I’m feeling a late night snack. Do you want anything?” You smiled and shook your head.

“Be careful.”

“Always.” Jimin took a step and faded into the night. You just looked down at the dark water beneath you. That was until the wood of the pier creaked and caught your attention.

“That was-”

“Hey Y/n.” Out of all the people. It had to be your ex. “A pretty girl like you shouldn’t be here all alone. Let me treat you to dinner.”

“She isn’t alone.” Jimin’ growl made your spine tingle. A hand lashed out and shoved your ex off the ledge and into the ocean. Jimin easily helped you up to your feet and clicked his tongue.

“I hate wasting food.”

You held your belly and pointed to the cotton candy machine. Taehyung smiled and kissed your temple. “I’ll be right back Princess.” Taehyung pulled out his wallet and approached the vendor. You were busy looking up at the Ferris Wheel when a hand tapped your shoulder.

“Y/n. Funny seeing you here. You always did love the Carnival.” Your ex smirked down at you, eyes full of lust. “Why don’t we go behind the Grandstand and "remake” some memories.“

The man then got a face-full of fist. He stumbled to the ground and held his busted nose. Taehyung flexed his hand and growled. "Get out of here, before we make some of our own ‘memories’.”

Taehyung flashed his teeth, lips pulled back in a snarl. You grabbed his shirt sleeve and gave a short tug. “Let’s go, my love. He isn’t worth it…..and I want my Cotton Candy.”

~Jeon Jungkook~

Jungkook walked arm and arm with you out of the cute diner you frequently visited. Of course he only ordered a glass of water to not seem odd, but watching you chow down was the cutest thing ever. However Kookie was feeling quite hungry himself.

“Y/n….” his voice was deep and the red tint to his usually brown eyes told you exactly what he needed. You stroked the back of his hand and took a step back. Jungkook gave you his famous bunny smile and took an alley to his right.

You pulled out your phone and scrolled through social media when the bell of the diner rang. Out stepped your ex with that same shit-eating grin. Of course his eyes fell on you. “Hey Y/n! Long time, no see!” He leaned against the wall beside your head, his eyes showing his true intentions.

You back away and held your stomach. With not much more than those few words in, a hard shove had him falling to the ground, clutching his side. “Fuck man! You broke my ribs!” Jungkook cracked his knuckles and laughed darkly.

“Get the hell out of here. Before I break much worse body parts. Starting with your neck.”

Once again, you guys amaze me with all the support for my latest Southside Serpent Jughead Au. Thankyou so much, your comments and reblogs mean the world to me. Thanks for being so amazing and liking my stories! ****

Betty pushed herself further into the side of the booth, inhaling the familiar scent of fake leather and French fries. Chucks arm was loose around her shoulders as he laughed obnoxiously at something one of the football players had said and stuffed a sandwhich into his mouth, every time the darkest skinned boy moved abruptly, Betty felt her heart stop. Running a finger over her sore thigh, she glanced down at the fingerprint shaped bruises beggining to form under the short cheerleading skirt she had on. This was a common occurrence for Chuck, if he felt that Betty was ordering too much or speaking too loudly he would squeeze her leg under the table, bruising her and instantly shutting her up. Feeling the onset of tears coming on, Betty squeezed her eyes shut and sunk further into the booth, further into herself.

The high pitched tinkling of the bells to the diner doors broke her out of her daze and her eyes widened at the sight, sure enough in walked the very boy who had been on her mind day in and day out.

Jughead Jones, snug in his Southside jacket while a cigarette dangled from his lips, was followed by almost all the boys Betty had seen that night at the bar, equally smug looks on their faces as they casually strolled into Pops. Jughead caught Her eyes and winked, his face darkening when he saw her teary eyes and the angry boy beside her.

Chuck and the football team all hopped up from the booth, rearing the corner and coming toe to toe with the Southside.

“What do you think you’re doing here, are you lost? This isn’t your side of town, you’ve got a lot of nerve showing up here especially after what you did to our trucks.” The quarterback growled in Jugheads face as he lazily stepped back

“Ah yes, the tire popping. A little juvenile I’ll admit but hey, alls fair in love and war.” Jughead allowed his eyes to stray to Betty for a bit too long as she made her way beside Chuck.

Chuck noticed the lingering looks between the pair and gripped Betty’s hand painfully tight, causing her to yelp slightly as he tugged her into his side.

Dean stepped forward followed by half the Serpents a low growl coming from the Southside, Jughead stood nose to nose with Chuck

“Let. her. go.” He hissed, his eyes looking absolutely lethal.

“She’s my girl, Southside trash.” Chuck smiled darkly, his hand moving to lewdly grip Betty’s ass as she squirmed underneath his arm, her eyes avoiding Jugheads.

That was the last straw, Jughead didn’t even realize he had launched himself at the bulky boy until his fists were covered in blood and the roaring of the brawl rang through his ears. He glanced up to see the Serpents versus Riverdale, dropping Chuck by the shirt he looked around frantically before finally finding what he was looking for.

Betty was being held by a dark haired girl in a similar uniform as Another Serpent, Adam, stood in front of them, shielding the pair from the onslaught of flying fists.

“Veronica, Betty!” A new voice called from the middle of the chaos, Out walked a red headed boy, his jersey ripped as he ran towards them and quickly ushered them outside. Jughead glanced up at his gang, a familiar voice shouted into his ear

“Go after her, we’ll be fine.” Keith mumbled, swinging his fist at a boy named Moose.

Jughead sprinted towards the door, he saw Betty talking intently with the red haired boy and the dark haired girl, he made his way over, sighing in relief as Betty dropped herself into his arms, he placed a hand on the back of her neck, tangling himself in her hair as he pushed her against his chest, she sobbed openly, the events of the day finally catching up to her.

“You’re okay.” She cried “I saw him go after you, I was so scared..” she trailed off as he shushed her and held her tight, his eyes closing at the familiar, comforting scent that invaded his nose.

“It’s okay.” He whispered against her forehead, pulling away to catch her eyes. She brought her fingers up to his cheek and brought them back to reveal a smudge of blood on her tiny fingers.

“You’re bleeding” her voice broke in unrestrained guilt

“This is not your fault.” He assured her “none of this is. This war that’s going on? It’s bigger than any of us, there’s nothing we can do but go along with it.” He dropped a kiss to her forehead as she nodded.

A very feminine cough brought them both out of their bubble, Jughead looking at the raven haired girl who was staring at them with confused eyes.
Betty blushed bright red and wiped her eyes.

“Verinca, Archie, this is Jughead, he’s a…friend” she smiled shyly.

Veronica raised a brow but smiled none the less
“Nice to meet you, Jughead…friend” the hesitance was in her eyes but she still extended her hand which he shook quickly.

Archie stepped forward his hand coming up to clap around Jughead shoulder
“Anyone who’s a friend of Betty’s is a friend of mine, now what do you say we get out of here, I think I hear police sirens” the red head scratched his neck nervously. “You coming?” He asked Betty who shook her head,

“I think I need to walk home. I need to clear my mind” she smiled gratefully at her neighbor and he nodded, throwing a wave to Jughead
“See you around pal”

Jughead walked beside Betty
“Is he always that friendly?” He asked confused

Betty smiled softly
“Always. There’s not a mean bone in his body.”

Jughead nodded silently, they hardly talked the entire walk home, the comfortable silence a welcome change. When they arrived at her front door, Betty turned to Jughead

“I’m done this time. I’m not going back with him, I can’t keep letting him treat me this way” there was a fire in her eyes and for the first time in Jugheads life he believed someone.

“You really think I would let you go back to him now? After that? Not that I’m trying to control your choices or anything, but you’ve officially left a stain on every Serpents heart. I’d be surprised if they didn’t follow you around everywhere from now on.” He teased lightly, Betty blushing and looking to her front door.

“I’ll see you tommorow right?” She asked hopefully.

Jughead leaned forward, dropping a slow kiss to her forehead

“You got it angel”

She closed her eyes for a second before quickly heading inside, her heart beating out of her chest.

Jughead made his way through the trailer park, stopping at everyone’s home to make sure all of his friends had made it out okay, the general consensus was that the Southside had won this battle but the fight was far from over.

Slamming the door to his own trailer, Jughead threw off his leather jacket and let the silly smile he had felt coming on all day, grace his face.

“Heard you started at a fight on the north side today?”

Jughead whipped around, sighing as he saw his father sat in the love seat, a beer bottle hanging loosely in his hand.

“Yeah..” he started as his father got up

“Good, it’s time we start fighting this war. I’m proud of you.” His father came over and ruffled Jugheads hair.

Jughead bit the inside of his cheek
“Alright dad.”

“I’ll see you tomorrow at the snake bar, big news kid” he said before he walked out the door, slamming it so hard the walls shook.

“Thanks dad.” He whispered bitterly into the barren, lonely trailer

A/N: ugh guys I’m so sorry I’ve been so inactive this past week and a half.  I’ve had so much to deal with school and music, and i’ve also had a serious case of writer’s block. hopefully I’ll be able to write more stuff soon, and until then, enjoy!

Jughead and I stood at my locker, talking about his novel.

“I just want to investigate a bit more tonight,” he told me as I pulled out my textbook.  “We can go to Pop’s after.”

“That’s fine with me,” I nodded, gently shutting my locker.  “I just don’t know if tonight is good for me.  I have to work on an English project, so I may have to skip out on the sleuthing.”

“That’s okay,” he shrugged. “I’ll just come to Pop’s when I’m done.” I smiled and nodded, wrapping my arm around his as we began our trek down the school hallway.  Our conversation continued, but Jughead abruptly stopped talking when Archie walked past us.  The atmosphere grew tense for a moment as the two boys locked eyes.  Once he passed, Jughead returned back to normal.

“You know,” I steered away from our conversation topic, “you should talk to him.”

“I know,” Jughead agreed. “But I just… I can’t.  Not yet.”  I nodded in understanding and said nothing more about the subject.  Archie Andrews had been a sensitive topic ever since he flaked on Jughead to go on their road trip.  Even though Archie was one of my closest friends, I knew that because Jughead was my boyfriend, I had to take his side.  Which meant that I barely spoke to Archie anymore.

“So I’ll see you tonight?” I confirmed once Jughead and I stopped in front of my classroom.  He smiled and nodded.

“Of course.”

I arrived at Pop’s at around five o’clock, knowing that Jughead would come a bit later.  Pulling out my English binder, I began to work on my project.

I finished the project three hours later, and Jughead had still not shown up.  Worriedly, I checked my phone for what felt like the millionth time. My leg bounced with anticipation as I drummed my fingers against the diner table, my eyes never leaving the entrance.  Jughead was almost always late to our dates, but never by this much.  I was about to call him when my phone buzzed.  Quickly, I unlocked it and checked my messages. Jughead had just texted me:

Sorry, sleuthing went late.  Not gonna make it to Pop’s tonight

Frustrated, I packed up my things and immediately left the diner.

“What the hell?” I stomped up to Jughead the next morning at school.  He looked at me with wide eyes.

“What?” he asked.

“Why the hell weren’t you at Pop’s last night?” I clarified, clenching my teeth.

“I told you, I was investigating.”

“That’s what you always say!” I furiously flung my hands.

“Because that’s what it always is,” he retorted.  “What, do you think I’m cheating on you?”

“No!” I yelled.

“Then why are you getting so worked up over this?”

“Because you always do this to me,” I seethed.  “You say you’re gonna investigate the murder but promise to meet me at the diner later, and every time I fall for it.  Every night I sit and wait for hours in the diner for you, but you never show up.  Do you know how pathetic that makes me look?”

“If you’re so upset about what people think about you, then don’t bother waiting for me at Pop’s!” Jughead retaliated.

“Trust me, I won’t,” I scoffed and stormed off.

That night, I sat in my room, toying with my phone.  My finger hovered over the call button, just wanting to talk and apologize.  Finally, I built up the courage and pressed the green button.

“Hello?” he asked confusedly.

“Hey, Archie,” I sniffled. “Can we talk?”

“And now I don’t know what to do.  Should I talk to him?  Or should I wait for him to talk to me?” I finished crying about what happened between me and Jughead.  Archie and I sat at a booth in Pop’s.  When I called him, I explained why I hadn’t been talking to him recently.  With complete understanding, Archie offered to meet me at the diner and catch up.

“I mean, he’s the one in the wrong here,” he shrugged.  “If he’s not gonna come up to you and apologize, it’s not worth it.”

“I just…” I stifled a sob, “I just don’t want to lose him over this.  We’ve been through so much.”

“He’ll come,” Archie assured me.  “I promise.” I smiled at my friend, happy to have him back in my life.  Our conversation drifted to more casual topics, such as school and Archie’s music. Suddenly, the bell on the diner door jingled, signaling that a new customer had entered.  I didn’t look up, but I did once the newcomer approached our table.

It was Jughead.

“I’m sorry,” he said, looking between me and Archie.

“To who?” I inquired sharply.

“Well… both of you,” he sighed, “but Archie already knows.”  I sent a puzzled look towards Archie, causing him to nod.

“He came up to me,” Archie answered on behalf of Jughead, “right after your fight.  He apologized for not talking to me, and I apologized for flaking on our road trip.”

“(Y/N), I’m so sorry,” Jughead apologized again.  “I’ve been so invested in investigating Jason’s murder that I’ve completely neglected our relationship.”

“Jug…” I trailed off, unable to finish my sentence.  Instead, I stood up, wrapped my arms around his neck, and kissed him.  He smiled into the kiss, and we pulled away after a minute.

“So that means you forgive me?” he asked with a smile etched on his face.  I grinned and pecked his lips.

“Of course.”

After the teenage boy had figured out that they’d walked into the diner on his left, he opened the door and walked into the building.

tonight was a totally flop, my feet kill from standing so long, the food was served cold and to top it off no one asked me to dance the entire night so i stood and watched an awkward Betty try and confess her feelings to my brother and so far it didn’t look like it was going to crash hot

just when i thought the night could get worse if it possibly tried i spot cheryl walking over to me and at this moment i just wanting the ground to swallow me whole.

“hello my fellow riven vixen” she smiles sweetly

“hey cheryl” i smile and muster up as much enthusiasm and fake smiling as i could manage “what’s up” i tilt my head blinking to let her know im not a robot.

“are you coming tonight to the after party? im in the mood for chaos” her smile turns sinister as she batts her eyelids. “not tonight im super tired but enjoy!”

i try and walk past her but she catches me arm and yanks me back “i beg your pardon?” i roll my eyes pulling my arm free “i said no cheryl i will not be in attendance tonight- now if you’ll excuse me-”

she begins her snappy come back when i see reggie mantle walking over to us “care to dance andrews?” i breathe a sigh of relief “why of course mantle- if you’ll excuse me” i tell cheryl before grabbing his hand and letting him guide me out into the middle of the dance floor

“i never thought I’d say this but ive never been so happy to see you ever in my life” i sling my arms around his neck as we begin to slow dance. he chuckles at my remark and places his arms loosely on my hips

“things looked a little intense so i thought I’d go help my damsel in distress, you are my river vixen after all” he teases pulling me closer to his body.

“woah steady eddie i think your getting a bit ahead of yourself there. i can handle myself but thank you” he smiles down at me “your welcome”

the song ends and we break apart i catch a glimpse of the others watching reggie and i closely as he snakes his hand around my waist and tugs me toward his side. my brother mutters something to Betty before walking over to me and breaking us apart.

“if it isn’t the inferior twin, hey bud how you doing. did i tell you that your sister got mega hot” he winks at me before smirking up at my brother “jesus reg” i roll my eyes at the hormonal teen before walking toward my brother “let’s go home”

“actually Betty, Ronnie and I are going to the Blossoms- you should come-” i shake my head “no thanks im just going to hit Pops and then head home for a well needed bath”. he nods before turning and disappearing in the crowd.

i start the walk over to Pop’s my clutch in one hand my shoes in the other the cool wind blowing through my hair. i quicken my pace when i see the shimmering neon signs of the diner “thank god” i mutter entering the only place open at 11pm

it was much warmer inside then out my whole body shivered as it adjust to the warmness, “hey pop” i greet “the usual?” he asks and i nod searching for a booth when I spot the brunette boy huddled over his laptop.

“ill be sitting with juggie” the old man nods turning and placing my order into the kitchen, my stomach growling at the mouth watering smell of burgers and fries.

i approach the table with caution my whole body shivering from the cold “jug?”

his eyes shoot up from his laptop annoyance across his face as he realises it’s me, my heart sinks as i wrap my arms around my body “can i sit?” he doesn’t say a word he just nods focusing his attention back to his work

i slip into the open seat opposite him placing my heels and purse next to me, we sit in silence and i tap my fingers against the table hoping that he’d break first.

“god dammit!” i bang my hands on the table causing jughead to look at me in an instant closing his laptop. “what?” he says panicked

“im sorry for bailing today okay! i got swept up with B & V and my brother forced me to this stupid dance and i don’t have your number so I couldn’t message you to say no and i just had a really crappy night and I had to walk all the way from school to here in these damn shoes- and it’s like minus 2 degrees out there and I’m cold and hungry and annoyed because i flaked on you and i never flake- so im sorry please don’t do this-” i blurt resting my head in my hands.

the diner falls quiet and i keep my eyes close not wanting to see a Jugheads expression “here” i hear him mumble

i lift my head and see jugheads outstretched hand with his jacket hanging from his grasp, i grab it softly slipping into it and instantly feelings it’s warmth “thank you” i mumble.

“it’s okay-” he pauses to clear his throat “i actually only got here about an hour ago-” he chuckles grabbing a few fries off my plate and popping them into his mouth.

i drop my face into my palms and turn red in embarrassment before making eye contact with him again a grin wide on his face. i narrow my eyes at him pulling my plate closer to me.

“i can’t believe you made me think you were mad at me you jerk” i complain somewhat relieved at the concept “i tried to stop you but once you start ranting it’s extremely hard to stop you”

i laugh at the brunette boy as i sip on my milkshake “you’re an idiot” i mutter “you’re a an idiot” he mimics my voice making extremely offensive hand gestures. i throw a napkin at him and roll my eyes at him before sticking my tongue out at him. mature i know

we talk for a little bit before the bell in the diner goes off my brother walking in looking rather guilty “s'cuse me” i mutter to jughead before slipping out of the booth and walk over to the service desk where archie stands

“sorry kid she hasn’t been in here tonight just these two-” “who” i ask catching the end of their conversation “uh betty” he confesses itching the back in his neck he walks past me and toward jughead

“archie what’s wrong with B?!” i ask annoyed but he ignores me asking jughead to sit before taking my place in the booth “earth to archie?!” i complain annoyed.

“what!” he snaps gazing at me

“Betty, where is she and what the hell happened at Cheryl’s”

“nothing!” he stammers looking to the both of us before looking back down at his hands “look ronnie and i- uh we kissed..” my jaw drops

“in front of here?!” i ask fuming “well not tech-”

“archie i swear to god-!” i yell anger pulsing through me

“yes!” he snaps yelling at me “i came here to apologise!” he tries to reason

i scoff “to who, to betty to me or to jug- because I’m pretty sure you owe us ALL an apology even damn ronnie needs one” i yell at my brother storming away from the booth before turning quickly on my heels and heading back to the boys.

archie flinches as i reach over the booth and give jughead a hug “night jug sorry again ill see you tomorrow- ive got to find Betty” he nods understandingly “to be continued?” i nod and turn around walking out of the diner and directly to the coopers residence

i sneak up into Bettys room and knock twice waiting patiently for her to open the window, within a minute the lights inside her room turn on and the click of her window unlocking as she pulls it up with ease “(y/n)?” she says surprised

“what the hell did that stupid ginger haired brother of mine do this time” she sniffles and i hold my arms outstretched and she rushes into them crying softly into my shoulder

“the kissed in the closet for seven minutes in heaven- she knew & so did he but they did it anyway” she wipes her eyes before siting on the edge of her bed “boys are stupid” i tell her placing my hand on her shoulder

“i don’t get why he doesn’t like me (y/n) what’s wrong with me i just-” she chokes on her words wiping her wet cheeks with her fingers.

“he loves you i know that just not in the way you want him to- but you know what sometimes they’re better of being friends then anything more” i try and comfort her letting her rest her head on me.

her phone vibrates and she sighs when she reads it “its arch-” she croaks “he’s outside” i give her shoulders a squeeze.

“you don’t have to see him if you don’t feel up to it, i can tell him you just want to be alone” she shakes her head “it’s okay” she gives me a weak smile before we both stand from her bed and walk downstairs

she pauses and turns around staring at me looking puzzled “what?” i ask “is that jughead as jacket?” i look down at the fabric and smile shyly “yeah i was at pops and it was cold so juggie leant it to me”

she raises her brows at me “jesus just open the door”!

she opens the front door to reveal my brother standing further down the drive way “ill be right here” i tell her giving her hand a reassuring squeeze before she walks down to meet him talking in hushed whispers before Betty turns around and rushes to me crying even more than before

i run my hands over her hair trying to soothe her as i catch my brothers guilty expression “call me if you need anything okay B?” she nods wiping her tears and mumbling a thank you before disappearing into her house

i walk past my brother and over to our house “i can’t believe you” i mutter slamming the front door in his face.

“c'mon (y/n) you can’t be mad at me okay” “watch me” i yell back stomping up the stairs

“why do you even care!” he retorts clearly annoyed “she’s my best friend arch what the hell is that supposed to mean!”

“hey hey what’s going on here, arch (y/n/n)?” “nothing dad just the same ole jerk archie, night”

i shut my door with some extra force due to the anger coursing through my body “i can’t believe him” ♕

“are you still mad?”

i stay seated in the passenger seat of my brothers truck, ive been giving him the silent treatment all morning and we’ve finally arrived at school & i was certainly in no mood for bullshit today

“look arch- i am still mad okay your my brother and she’s my best friend i hate having to pick corners it’s not fair- what you and veronica did was wrong okay? but i stand by you because your my brother but that doesn’t mean that i ive forgiven you for what you did”

he nods staring blankly at me “i guess I’ll take it” I give him a single nod before getting out of the car and walking off to find betty i was definitely not in the mood to wait for my brother and face her with him.

i spot her leaning against her locker, “Betty!” i call out. She smiles when she see,s me she looks a lot better almost like last night never happened. i approach her giving her a small hug and a small squeeze on the shoulder

“your still wearing that?” she smirks at me. i glance down at juggies jacket “it’s warm, plus i can return it to him today” i finish closing my locker

“yeah okay whatever, oo i have something to pick up from the office wanna come with” i nod following the girl “how you feeling?” she shrugs “im over it” i nod >

we enter the office and i spot a huge vase of yellow flowers, “are they for betty?” i point and betty widens her eyes opening the car perched on top of the bouquet, my eyes widen even more “from v? as in-”

“veronica” the three of us say in unison, we turn to see Veronica standing in the door way holding a box “i also got you some cupcakes i flew them in from New York” i side eye Betty and furrow my brows giving her the ‘are you serious look’

i sit back and watch as veronica vows to never do anything like that again and beg for Betty’s forgiveness and as Betty is in fact Betty she stupidly forgives her and now they are back to best buds typical

“im actually surprised that you forgave her so easily, i would’ve made her grovel a bit” i tell her as i smell her flowers “yeah i know you would c'mon i have free period let’s go to the lounge”

“do you think if i act upset she’ll fly me in cupcakes too?” i joke earning a chuckle from Betty “atta girl” i wink at her as we exit the office. “you’re impossible” she jokes.

thats when we pass the familiar brunette standing a this locker his eyes already locked on me, we walk past him and i send him a shy smile “hey juggie” he’s cheeks tint and as he smiles stupidly at the ground “hey-” he mumbles a smile clear on his face

a/n: send me a request if you’d like a part 4!! i hope your enjoy this let me know commenting down below, sending me a message or by following my blog so you’ll never miss an upload!! lots of love nugs🌹🥂

Could you possibly do a Soulmate AU based off of TiMER? Basically you can get an implant on your wrist that counts down to when you meet your soulmate! Thanks!!

I’ve never seen the movie but I’ll give it a go!

Bettys feet pounded the pavement, white tennis sneakers scuffing up the Riverdale park sidewalk as her blonde ponytail bounced messily behind her. Betty Cooper turned sixteen today, just like every other birthday she hid on her own buried in the seats at the Bijou theatre, double feature after double feature keeping her mind occupied as she spared glances at the implant secured in her skin.

The digital implant was placed in the wrists of every human being at birth, it was something resembling a digital clock, a countdown blinking on the skin. It was a constant reminder that you were destined to meet your soulmate at some point, it provided hope and whimsy, a fool proof way to find love. Betty was a hopeless romantic, she loved the idea of the waiting game, the fact that there was someone out there for everyone. Unfortunately, Betty didn’t have that luxury, her own implant was stuck at 0:00, it had been like that for as long as she could remember and every year on her birthday she knew she was one year closer to being on her own for the rest of her life, it broke her heart.

The bright red lights of Pops Diner lit up the Riverdale streets, it was past 11:00 and the popular burger joint was close to deserted, there was one person who would be there though, another birthday tradition.

Sliding through the glass doors as the familiar jingle of the bells rang through the diner, Betty found exactly who she was looking for.

Jughead Jones, typing quickly on his laptop, two steaming cups of coffee sitting in front of him, he looked up to the door, smiling when his stormy grey eyes met her soft green ones. Betty wrapped her fingers around her ponytail holder and pulled it out, letting the loose honey blonde curls spill over her shoulders.

Betty slid into the booth across Jughead, lifting the caramel coffee to her lips and inhaling.

“mmm” she sighed

Jughead chuckled under his breath

“Nice to see you too Bets”

Betty looked up and grinned

“Hi Juggie”

he rolled his eyes and went back to typing, his eyes glancing up at her occasionally, taking in her profile as she stared out the window.

She was so beautiful, Betty Cooper was one of the most kindhearted, beautiful girls he had ever had the fortune of knowing. She was smart as a whip and had a dark side to rival his own, she would take the shirt off her own back if it meant helping someone else. Her eyes were sad today, they always were on this day.

“Happy Birthday Betty.” he whispered, drawing her eyes to his.

“Happy Birthday Jughead” she answered, a sad smile on her lips as her eyes shifted to the thick bracelets covering his left wrist.

He had been hiding his implant since the day he found out what it meant, he was angry and he felt cheated. The glaring 0:00 always reminding him that he was destined to be alone, he figured that was why he was so interested in Betty, she was like him, she was given the same disappointing series of numbers and she didn’t deserve it. If anyone deserved a soulmate it was Betty Cooper, he would have given anything to be Bettys soulmate.

They sat in Pops for an hour before jughead packed his things up and nodded towards the door, the two teens heading out and going home

“You don’t have to walk me home every year Juggie.” she glanced down at their joined hands, the beanie wearing boy blushed, tightening his finger around hers

“who am I to break tradition? he joked

By the time they reached Bettys door, her shoulders had slumped and she trudged to her front porch

“ see you tomorrow?” she asked, one hand on her doorknob

Jughead nodded absently, his eyes shifting as he reached out and grabbed Bettys wrist, his fingers grazing her implant, suddenly a shock of electricity went through both of them and Jughead pulled back quickly, Betty staring down at her wrist

“Juggie..” she whispered but he was already backing away

“I..uhh. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

dazed, Betty slowly walked into her house, closing the door quietly

“hello Elizabeth.”

Betty swirled around at the sound of her mothers voice, shocked to see both of her parents sitting on the living room couch, staring at her expectedly.

“mom? dad?”

“We need to talk, its time you know.” Hal motioned for Betty to sit and she did hesitantly.

“we know how difficult this has been on you, believing you don’t have a soulmate, living life with those zeros. but Elizabeth, its not true , you’ve had a soulmate the entire time, we’ve been waiting for you to figure it out, we didn’t want to tell you, we thought it would be better if you found out for yourself.

Bettys eyes were wide and her fingers were dangerously close to her palms

Alice and Hal looked at each other nervously and Betty repeated again

“who” a dangerous lilt to her voice.

Hal spoke now

“Jughead Jones, you were born in the same hospital on the same day, that’s why your implants don’t work, you’ve already met your soulmate.”

Betty was out the door faster than she thought possible, her sneakers hitting pavement again.

Before she knew it, she was standing before Jugheads trailer, out of breath and panting as she banged heavily on the front door. F.P Jones answered the door, rubbing his eyes and yawning,

“Betty? what are you doing here its..”

she cut him off

“I know Mr.Jones, they told me” she pushed her wrist up and he stared at it, realization dawning suddenly and he grinned

“about time kid, JUGHEAD” he shouted, the boy in question came running, pulling sleep pants on and running a hand through his hair, stopping dead when he saw Betty

“ Bets? what are yo..?”

suddenly the blonde was lunging at him, her lips on his as his hands found their way to her hips, it was like coming home, sparks and lights flying everywhere. Betty pulled away, her eyes glazed as she gripped at his back, her fingers moving to his wrist and pulling the bracelet from his arm.

“Happy Birthday soulmate.” she whispered,

Jugheads hands tightened around her waist, his eyes wide,

“soulmate?” suddenly clarity hit his face and he pulled her wrist to his face

betty giggled “oh” she repeated

A grin  split his face and he swung Betty around

“ hey there soulmate” he laughed

prompt: Emma left storybrooke and came back quickly realising she can't leave but misunderstanding cause her to think Killian got a girlfriend when she was gone

This has been sitting in my inbox for a while, apologies for the massive delay. I didn’t really have an idea for it but was hit with one today lol. I’m not too happy with it but it’s all i’ve got for now. I hope it’s okay!

Three months was all it had taken for Emma to realise she missed Storybrooke.

She’d finally found home and she missed it.

Eighty one days away from the magical town and Emma found herself racing around her apartment one Thursday night, shoving her and Henry’s belongings into suitcases like a woman possessed. Henry had woken around midnight at the noise, panicked at his mother’s frenzied state.

“We’re going home, kid.”

“We are?!”

“Yeah. We are. Tonight.”

By 2am they were closing the door to their New York apartment for good and bundling into the yellow bug, Henry fast asleep in the back and Emma wide awake, adrenaline pushing her towards Maine.

They’d pulled up outside the loft just shy of 8am, and once again David was opening the door to the loft, slack jawed at the sight of his daughter standing there.

Snow hadn’t wasted any time pulling them into a firm hug, overjoyed to see them both.

“Are you just visiting or..”

“No. We’re back. This is our home, where our family is. I’m not running again, I promise.”

With those words the reunion was complete and the morning was spent catching up. David was all too eager to bring their bags in and Emma packed their stuff away while Henry went straight to Regina’s, unable to wait to see his other mother.

For the first time that night, Emma lay in her old bed and managed to sleep the whole night through.

Saturday morning found the family strolling into Granny’s with huge smiles on their faces, and the woman herself was all too happy to see the sheriff had returned.

“On the house. Welcome back.” she’d offered as she supplied them with plenty of celebration breakfast.

Emma was just about to tuck into her pancake stack after receiving a greeting from Archie when the diner bell rang and the person she’d been too afraid to ask about walked in.

A shot of warmth rocked through her at the sight of him again followed by shock.

He looked good. He’d traded in his pirate garb for modern clothes and… it had taken her breath away. One thing was clear to her the moment he stepped through the door.

She’d missed him.

She’d really missed him.

Emma wasn’t the only one to be struck. Killian spotted her and froze, eyes growing wide, unsure if she was really there or not.

“Hey.” she greeted breathlessly.

He seemed to shake out of his daze, taking a hesitant step towards their booth. David and Snow remained quiet, watching their interaction intently.

“You’re here.” he smiled.

“Yeah. Me and Henry got back yesterday. New York wasn’t what it was cracked up to be.” she joked.

He smiled in return but Emma saw him withdrawing suddenly.

“It’s good to see you again, love. Welcome back.”

He gave David and Snow a nod of greeting before leaving them be and heading to the counter and away from them.

So, Tumblr thought it would be cool to eat my birthday post to my lovely friend and dark counterpart @optomisticgirl….which is actually super NOT cool. Anyway, I’m posting this a little late, but here it is! Happy day of birth, my Aries partner-in-crime! You are a lady, a scholar, and a wonderful human being.

A little classic literature and verbose Killian smut :) M-rated for certain.

“Well, that’s a long face if I’ve ever seen one,” Granny announced, leaning over the counter to snatch the empty hot chocolate mug. “What’s got you down, Sheriff?”

Lifting her frustrated eyes from the leatherbound book she’d borrowed from the library at Belle’s insistence, Emma attempted a casual smile before addressing the inquiry of the woman who owned the place. It was a rather half assed try, but what was the point in pretending all was well when it certainly was not? They’d been chasing their tails for days over how to put a stop to the Evil Queen’s most recent reign of terror, galavanting through a handful of untold stories until they landed on an author who was dreadfully familiar and the answer to all their problems - according to an odd inkling Henry had while thumbing through a newly discovered version of the storybook. If she’d known sending him with Killian to the author’s abandoned mansion in search of an alternate text would amount to her reading not one but four Shakespeare books - well, she definitely would have thought twice about needing more information.

The whole idea was starting to feel like ‘much ado about nothing’ - pun very much intended.

One-Sided || Jughead Jones

Prompt from anon: I love your writing! I was wondering if you could write something angsty? Something where the reader has always liked Jughead, but he starts to date Betty or something, and the reader has always wanted him to be happy, so she sucks it up and pretends she’s happy for them, and Jughead never does find out she liked him. If not, that’s okay, I understand if you don’t wanna write this!

A/N: Please stop me, I love writing angst too much.

Just tell him.

You repeated the silent mantra to yourself as you reached the front door of Pop’s.

This was it. Today was the day you were going to tell your best friend Jughead Jones III you loved him. And you were terrified. But you knew it had to be done, otherwise the feelings inside you would just eat you up. You took a deep breath and opened the front door, the quiet chime of the bell echoing around the diner. You looked around, searching for the familiar beanie. You smiled as you saw Jughead typing away at his computer. You attempted to steady your shaking hands as you made your way over to him.

“Hey, Jughead,” you greeted, sitting across from him.

He nodded at you, eyes still on his laptop.

Okay, be calm. Just be cool. Just—

“I need to talk to you.” you blurted out suddenly.

Jughead looked up at you, his eyebrows raised. He closed his laptop, giving you his full attention.

“Alright,” he said. “What’s up, Y/N?”

You swallowed.

Here goes.

“Well, um, Jughead, I—”

“Hey, guys!”

You turned around to see Betty making her way over to the two of you, beaming. You bit back a glare and instead plastered on a smile. You know she didn’t mean to interrupt.

“Hey!” you said back, trying to sound upbeat.

It must’ve worked because Betty smiled wider.

“What are you two talking about?” she asked before sitting next to Jughead.

You were about to answer with “The Blue & Gold” when you saw Betty take Jughead’s hand and link their fingers together. Your heart dropped.

You had to come up with a plan. Fast.

“Uh, I was actually about to ask him about the two of you!” you said, attempting to mask the surprise in your voice.

“You were?” they asked simultaneously.

You nodded.

“Well, yeah! I mean, you guys have been hanging out a lot lately,” you said.

Have they?

“And now you’re holding hands. Something you want to tell me?” you asked, trying to make your tone sound as lighthearted as possible.

Please. Please may they not be together. Please may your heart not get—

“We’re dating.” Betty said bashfully.

—ripped out of your chest.

You couldn’t breathe. This couldn’t be happening. They couldn’t be dating. They were complete opposites. Then you saw the way Jughead looked at her. He was in love. Your heart plummeted further. Jughead Jones III was in love. And it wasn’t with you. But he looked… happy.

You swallowed the massive lump in your throat.

“That’s great!” you finally said, hoping your smile wasn’t faltering.

Jughead smirked, red tinging his cheeks while Betty giggled.

“Really,” you said. “I’m so happy for the two of you. You’re perfect for each other.”

Betty giggled again. You felt your eyes begins to sting as tears welled up in them and you realized you needed to get out of there as soon as possible.

“Uh, listen guys, I gotta go,” you said as you got up, hoping your voice wasn’t breaking. “My mom wants me back before nine as it’s a school night and all, so I guess I’ll see you two tomorrow?”

The couple (God, you hated that word now) nodded and said their goodbyes. You had just gotten out of the parking lot of Pop’s before you broke down crying.

Heavy, gut-wrenching sobs forced their way out of your body and you struggled to breathe, gasping for air.

Why? Why Jughead? Why Betty? Why them?

You managed to get your breathing under control after a few minutes before continuing your walk home.

You thought back to Jughead at the diner. You remembered how happy he looked to be with Betty. He looked untroubled. For the first time in a long time. You realized there was nothing you could do. Jughead’s happiness was the most important thing in the world to you.

Who were you to take that away from him?

A/N: Hope you guys enjoyed! Please send feedback!

A Loving Family (Part One)

- a serial dadvid + Mafia Family Au-

The name stemmed from the Vagabond.

Mad Prince.

It was almost laughable really, to compare the two.

The Vagabond demanded respect, whether he was regular Ryan, or the masked murderer that Los Santos had simultaneously feared and adored.

Though those words seem contradictory, the Fakes brought as much peace as they did chaos. With every gang they tore down the safer the dark alleys and mostly abandoned neighborhoods got, but every battle leading up to the final showdown was nothing but mayhem.

The casualties would grow to triple digits and heists performed by the Fake AH Crew would fill the city with rage.

But by the time Geoff and his kids cut off the head of the beast, the city would rejoice as their own children wouldn’t need to fear walking home from school.

And then there was David, submissive in every sense, loved by most but disrespected by all. Well, all who didn’t know about his reputation he held amongst the biggest crime bosses in America.

David always allowed Max and the other campers to walk all over him. Even at work he was looked down upon, trodden on by his coworkers and given side jobs he wasn’t payed for.

They saw him as a lackey, a nobody. A naive kid with his head so far in the clouds that anyone could get the drop on him.

But Max always knew the switch, when the light clicked and cobwebbed cogs began to turn. Max knew better than to test him, because he was no longer David much like The Vagabond wasn’t Ryan. That’s when David became somebody.

“Both strong and weak,” Max thought as he watched the two talk. Argue really, by the way David’s hands were flailing. But it was hard to make out through the tinted wind shield.

Ryan glanced at him and offered Max the closest thing to a smile when Max stepped into the car, which did nothing but unsettle Max since Uncle Ryan never bothered with formalities.
The Vagabond dabbled in them from time to time depending on the subject he was presented.

Max narrowed his eyes and stared hard at the blond haired man.

They were close, closer than Ryan was with anybody else, but Max knew that he couldn’t trust The Vagabond.

Ryan, yes. Ryan knew all of Max’s secretes, of the past David had only known about until the Fake’s showed up.

David glanced at Max through the rear view mirror, pride racing through him as he witnessed Max immediately tense in the King’s presence.

Max was intelligent of course, but David was glad to see Max demonstrating his sense of ‘street smarts’ by showing caution when dealing with the alternate ego that wore Ryan’s face.

Max met David’s glance,“What’s going on?”

David pulled out of the school’s parking lot, his knuckles white from the grip on the steering wheel.

Ryan glanced at him, noting the tense posture.

David noted Ryan noting him.

Ryan noted David noting him noting David.

Max hated this game.

“What’s the fuck is going on?” Max repeated, voice more forceful.

The two both snapped out of their match.

“Wanna grab lunch at the diner?” David seemingly snapped back to his usual cheerful self but Max knew something was still wrong.

“That’s fine.” Max straightened up and checked his phone absentmindedly, knowing he wasn’t going to get a straight answer until they arrived at the local diner.

Ryan sighed, and proceeded to look out the window. He didn’t bother to check his phone, he knew he had over a hundred texts from the crew. Almost all the texts begging him to stop.

“Oh fuck.” Max replied, eyes wide as he stared down at the table. He dipped his French fry in the small plastic cup filled with ketchup.

Ryan tried to asses Max’s reaction, but determined it useless. Max was a closed book when he wanted to be, even to Ryan, and only David could lift the cover and turn the page in these situations.

“You don’t have to, I don’t even want you too. It won’t help in the end run.” The last sentence was said more to Ryan with a hateful spit, who in turn scoffed.

“It’s his father, David. We take him too the scene and we take down the crew it’s that simple!”
“No it’s not!” David yelled, not caring about the attention he was drawing.

Max looked away, eyes staring at the orange and black decoration that covered the walls of the diner. He usually liked this time of year.

“Stray bullet? He dies. Deal goes wrong? He dies? You don’t think this through, like you’re doing now, he fucking dies!” David emphasized his words by pounding his fist on the table.

They were the only ones in the diner, the waitress and cook were too caught up in there conversation to notice the rowdy customers in the corner.

Mad Prince, the Sleepy Peak Slasher. Max’s shoulders tensed, but he kept his eyes averted.

The staff had carved out pumpkins and set them in the windows of the diner, Max thought it had its own sense of tacky charm in a good way.

“David, its the best bet. We do this and it’s nothing but peace in Los Santos. And Max’s mom can come back.” He let the words linger in the air.

“But maybe that’s what you’re afraid of.” Ryan’s voice was monotoned, and Max wished he had spoke the words with some sort of inflection.

A dark look overcame David’s face, a signal that this conversation had gone far enough.

“I’m calling Geoff.” Max piped up, tearing his eyes away from the diner interior to glance between the two that were caught up in a staring match.

Neither said a word, Max pushed away from
the table and stepped outside the diner. The bell that chimed above the door was the only sign that he had exited.

Max pulled out his phone, quickly responding to a text from Nikki and Neil who were excited for the upcoming camping trip before the fall season set in.

He didn’t notice the car pulling up.

He typed in Geoff’s number, listening to the ring as he focused his attention to crushing the bright orange leaf that skittered to a stop in front of him.

He couldn’t feel the eyes staring at him, the eyes waiting for confirmation.

“Did you say yes?” Geoff shouted so loud that Max had to pull the phone away from his ear.

“I missed you too.” Max sighed at the crude greeting, and turned to face the window of the diner looking past the carved pumpkins to where he could see David resisting the urge to choke Ryan.

“They’re fucking arguing right now like babies so I haven’t said anything yet. Can you come by? We are at the diner and I really wanna go home. They’re just being assholes.”

How could he have heard the approaching footsteps?

“Yeah, we’ll head that way. But get ready to have an ear full from Gavin. Someone brought another million dollar question.” He added false enthusiasm to the last sentence and Max could practically see him rolling his eyes.

Max groaned loudly, and Geoff laughed at his reaction. Max began to say his good bye when a gloved hand tapped his shoulder.

“Hold on- yeah?” There was no hesitation or pause. It happened all so fast.

The ski masked man grabbed him while the other man snatched his phone letting it clatter onto the side walk.

Max screamed and protested, kicking and fighting to gain his freedom. But they were already forcing him through the car door by the time Max got out of the initial shock.

They were arguing in the diner, and Geoff was too far away.

Max could faintly make out Geoff’s voice from his phone, he was probably screaming his head off after hearing the emotion.

Max fought to get out of the car, even getting as far as hanging out the door and screaming for help.

Max was forced into the middle of the seat, where they frantically pulled at his limbs to wrap the rope around his small wrists.

The door shut and they drove away.

David and Ryan didn’t even notice until Geoff bursted through the door of the diner, the rest of the FAHC tow.

They had to knock Max out after he resorted to biting, and his head ached as his eyes slowly opened. The room was dark except for a small blinking red light that was eye level in front of him. It stood a few feet away and took no time at all to determine it was a threat.

He shifted in his chair and the slightest movement made his head swim.

He could feel a heavy, tight weight around his chest. He knew it had to be ropes.

He and David would train consistently, how to make a weapon out of common items found in an interrogation room, how to escape from zip ties, and how to hide in a crowded room.

But Max’s mind was void of any information involving ropes, and it was almost laughable.

How could they have not covered that?

Max groaned as he tugged at the ropes, he wiggled but they didn’t budge.

He screamed. He rocked the chair. He kicked at the chair legs and then the air, hoping to connect with something that could help him get a feel of his surrounding.

The small red light blinked at him, and he returned the gesture. He was stuck and panicking in a completely dark room.

“David! Uncle Ryan! Uncle Geoff!” No response.

“Jack! Aunt Jack!” Where was he, where was he, where the hell was he.

“Fuck! Michael! Gavin! Jeremy!” He could feel the prickling of tears, his chest was beating so fast. His eyes were so heavy and tired but he forced them to stay open.

There was an odd crackling that filled the air, as if static breaking through a radio. Max stayed stock still waiting, the tears that ran down his face and the fast rise and fall of his chest were the only movement that could be found in the room

“Max? Scout? It’s Dad!”

“David? Where am I?” Max yelled, David voice was coming from next to the red light.

“Max, I want you to calm down,” It was suddenly Jack now, “Take a few deep breaths, baby.”

Max did as she said since no one ever disobeyed Jack.

“Where am I? Where are you guys?“ He said again once his heart had resumed a relatively calm pace.

“We don’t know yet, but we’re working on it, kid. We are at home, trying to get you back. Are you hurt?” Jeremy’s voice rang through.

“My head hurts a fuck ton, and I’m tired but I’m fine. The room’s completely dark.”

“You’re in a room, for sure?” Gavin piped up.

“Yes, I’m fucking sure Gavin! The room’s small, no echo.”

Michael was next to talk after a bout of silence.

“Max, you can’t see anything?”

“A red light, but it’s small and flashing. The rooms completely dark.”

“You said a small red light? Like one on a camcorder?” Ryan asked.

Max could hear whispering on the other end of the device, static crackling too loud for him to hear the exact details.

“I’m coming, Max. We are going to track the location and we are going to come and find you. I promise.” David’s voice sounded hoarse as though he’d been crying.

“Okay.” Because what else could he say?

His head pounded and his eyes grew heavier.

He heard more murmuring, on the other end and Max let the dull staticy voices lull him to sleep.

Late - Bughead Fic

Prompt: @marissamoncan you write bughead fic with 19, 22, 34 & 36?

Because I want to keep these rather short and sweet I decided to just do the first two, 19 and 22, hope that’s okay! Also I’m ecstatic to be writing my first Bughead fic, I know quite a few of my followers and friends aren’t massive fans of Bughead but I hope that they can treat this as a small oversight. This also serves as an alternative and less angsty version of Homecoming, i.e no FP getting arrested.

19 - “I think I’m in love with you, and that scares the crap out of me.”

22 - “Choose me.”

Betty Cooper found herself perched in a booth at the dimly lit diner owned by one Pop Tate. Aimlessly she spun her candy-striped straw around her rapidly melting vanilla milkshake, worry lines were etching their way deeply into her forehead.

‘Betty, you look - I mean, seriously wow.’

Archie’s words still buzzed in her ears, like an annoying fly that she desperately wanted rid of.

He wanted her.

Now he wanted her. Now she was over him. Now he had Veronica. Now she had Jughead.

‘Can I cut in?’ He’d asked later that night, her arms were slung lazily around Jughead’s neck and his lightly on her waist, he shrugged and handed her over to the broad ginger.

Betty looked down at the offending item of clothing, her silky blue off-the-shoulder dress, aimlessly she pressed down on the ruffled creases of the skirt. Tears pricked at the corner of her eyes, she thought of the mess that had been created tonight, her potentially unsalvageable relationships. She was sure that Ronnie was going to give her the cold shoulder for the next few weeks. Her friendship with Archie was going to face its biggest strain yet and Jughead -

‘Oh God, Jughead.’ She thought miserably.

The ginger boys large warm hands felt foreign on Betty’s tiny waist, they held a strength that was unfamiliar and possessive. His calloused thumbs rubbed deep circles into her hips bones and annoyingly ruffled the material of her dress.

‘Jughead’s a lucky guy, Betty.’ He said with a hint of charm lilting his voice.

Betty smiled sweetly in response, an uncomfortable awkwardness loomed over her from his words. The soft and slow music was the only noise that filled the silent gap between them.

They both broke the silence at the same time.

‘You first.’ She offered meekly.

‘I-’ He looked up at the gymnasium ceiling, seemingly hoping words would just fall from the sky.

He sighed deeply and raised his hand to Betty’s cheek-

The sound of Pop’s diner bell brought Betty back from her memories of the night. A frantic beanie-less Jughead Jones entered through the door, his wide eyes searched the diner before they finally settling on the petite young woman whose eyes pleaded back into his.

‘Jughead.’ His name caught her throat in a silent choke of desperation.

He slid quickly into the booth, his eyes burned with an intense panic and roamed her face looking for answers to a question he hadn’t asked.

‘Choose me.’ He pleaded and drew her hands into his. ‘I don’t want to sound desperate Betts, but choose me.’

His once composed and formal attire was dishevelled his tie hanging loosely around his neck now and the first few buttons of his shirt undone, his voice was dry and needy, and his hands clung desperately to hers as though if he let go she’d float away.

‘What?’ She whispered timidly, unsure of what the boy in front of her was possibly thinking.

‘Archie.’ He confirmed. ‘Don’t pick him. He doesn’t-’

‘Jughead,’ she stopped him with a raised hand, ‘what on earth are you talking about? Archie? Why-’

‘Jughead.’ She stopped him again, firmly this time.

His panicked eyes continued to search hers, they bore into her soul and pleaded with her heart. Looking at his broken and unsure face made Betty’s bottom lip tremble, how could one person be so unnurtured and unloved.

‘Jug-’ she began quietly with a quivering voice, ‘it’s always going to be you, that was never a doubt in my mind.’

‘But Archie-’

‘Isn’t you.’ She whispered resolutely.

His eyes stilled at her words, they gazed disbelievingly into her own, still apprehensive; still unsure. Betty sighed and drew herself further across the table, plucking his bony hands gently into her own slim ones, she lightly rubbed the familiar callouses of his knuckles.

‘When Archie told me-’ she took in a deep breath, ‘told me he’d never see me in that way, I was crushed - sure.’

Betty looked down at their entwined fingers and chose to focus on them before continuing her story.

‘I was convinced at that time that I loved him, Juggie, but when he told he’d never feel the same way I managed to move on. I could live without the love of Archie Andrews.’ She sighed. ‘But you-’

Her eyes chanced a glance at him, his eyes - like hers had been- were now staring at their tangled fingers. He ran his wet tongue along the bottom of his dry lip absentmindedly, momentarily pulling Betty away from the point she was trying to make.

What she had felt for Archie, she thought that was love, but how could it ever have been? Without Archie she could still breath, she could still eat and sleep, she could still live.

But without Jughead?

‘I’m in love with you, Jughead.’ The words fell from her mouth in a simple truth. ‘I’m in love with you, and it scares the crap out of me.’

His dark eyes continued to stare at their locked hands but Betty could see the effect that her words had on him, his chest rapidly rose and fell as his heart hammered within its dark cavity and his shallow breath hit the back of her hands.

‘I’m pretty terrified too.’ He whispered before pulling her hands up to his wet lips with a chaste kiss.

And that was all she needed to hear.

Hey! I love your writing very much. You are the reason why I open my tumblr page everyday just to read your bughead fanfictions. So if you still open your requests, can you write about a role reverse. Like maybe Betty is a loner in the school, always wearing a beanie, and Jughead is in the football team (because he can't be cheerleader). Thank you ;)

Thankyou so much love that is so sweet! A role reversal! That is amazing, let me give it a try’

Betty tucked her long blonde hair behind her ears and positioned her grey, crown shaped beanie so that it fit perfectly on her head, she pulled her head phones over the silly shaped hat and sat down in her usual booth at Pops pulling the laptop from her bag and staring at the half filled screen. Writing was becoming more and more difficult and adding her new part time job at the Bijou theatre to her already busy schedule made it almost impossible to find time to write.

Betty Cooper lived by herself, she followed no ones rules, and she answered to no one. Her permanent residence in the tiny room above Pops Diner was all she needed. After losing her family to her mothers alcoholism and her serious involvement in her gang, the Southside Serpents, Betty was fine being alone, she was focused and determined and her sardonic humor made it fairly difficult to make friends.

The bell to the diner chimed rhythmically and she glanced up to the door, shrinking lower into her seat as the entire football team barreled through the doors of her safe haven. Betty shot a glance at Pop and he shrugged his shoulders helplessly. The river vixens followed closely behind and Veronica Lodge caught her eyes, smiling warmly and moving to lift her hand for a wave, Betty smiled softly back before shaking her head and casting her eyes to Cheryl in warning. Cheryl Blossom hated Betty Cooper and if Cheryl Blossom hated you.. well… everyone hated you, except for Veronica Lodge of course, Veronica was in her chemistry class and she had always been incredibly interested in the mysterious blonde. Betty had that “I’ve been through a lot, so please me alone” look on her face but the gorgeous , light haired girl had always been nothing but kind to her and she had a certain grace about her that was overtly mature for anyone their age, something Veronica admired greatly.

Veronica rolled her eyes as Cheryl laughed obnoxiously and found someone else had noticed Betty as well. Jughead Jones was staring at the beanie wearing girl with the most love sick eyes Veronica had ever seen, he shifted in his Letterman Jacket as he sat in the booth directly across Betty’s, his hands balled up in fists like they always were.
“Something on your mind jones?” Veronica asked with a knowing smirk, causing the dark haired boy to snap his head to hers

“What? No.. I don’t. I just dazed off” he shrugged lazily, his hand going to rub his neck nervously.

“Mmhmmm” Veronica hummed, smiling and turning back to watch Betty. Pop Tate was at her booth and whispering something as she smiled and rolled her eyes, closing the laptop and gathering her things, her dark blue flannel hanging lazily on her tiny hips.

“She’s so small” Jughead mumbled beside Veronica.

“Yeah” Veronica agreed, a surprising amount of concern suddenly overwhelming her “Do you think she’s sick? I never see her around town, only at the theatre”

Jughead shook his head
“Not sick, maybe just hungry? Tired? Stressed?” Jughead knew those feelings all too well, with his overwhelming parents, pregnant older sister JellyBean, and constant pressure to make his father proud.

As Betty walked past the group of her peers Chuck Clayton stuck his foot out, laughing as she stumbled, narrowly catching her laptop. Jughead started to stand but Veronica put a hand out to stop him
“Look” she whispered.

Betty straightened herself and turned to the dark skinned boy with a bored smile

“Really Chuck? The old stick your foot out and trip technique? What’s next? Tying my shoe laces together? I think they have a book on Elementary school pranks in the library..oh I’m sorry I forgot, you probably can’t read.. it’s okay they have picture books too.” She hiked her backpack over her shoulder and headed out the door, the angry quarterback cursed at her as she left and Jughead rolled his eyes, hopping over the booths and following the blonde outside.

“Betty? Betty Cooper?” He called at her retreating back. She turned around slowly, raising an eyebrow as he caught up to her

“Listen if you’re here to retaliate for what I did to your teammate, it’s gonna have to wait.. I’m gonna be late for work.” With that she turned to keep walking, her shoelaces on her dirty converse came untied and she sighed before stopping to tie them.

“While I am stopping, and the timing is not ideal, I still don’t have time to talk” she looked up casually, a hint of mischief playing in her eyes.

Jughead couldn’t help the smile that grew on his face
“Actually i wanted to talk to you about the school newspaper, I heard you’re starting it up again.”

Betty perked up, finishing her shoes and standing before him, her back pack heavy on her shoulder
“How did you hear about that? I haven’t told anyone, I just spoke to Weatherbee this morning?”

Jughead blushed bright red and looked down, what was he supposed to say? I know everything about you because I’ve been in love with you since third grade or what about I keep tabs on you just to make sure you’re okay.
He settled with

“I heard the coach talking about it during practice, something about covering sports.. and stuff.”

Betty looked at him skeptically but shrugged none the less
“Yeah, well I am. Looking to buy a paper?” She smiled and he felt his heart stop, her dimples and bright white teeth took him off guard and he was speechless for a second

“Actually.. I .. umm well. I like writing and I figured it would look good on college applications ya know? I could fit it in between football practice.” He was practically begging and he saw her eyes soften.

“Hey, you don’t have to beg. Of course you can join the paper, it might be good to have someone else’s input, just do me a favor?” She asked with a smirk.

Jughead smiled enthusiastically

“Don’t tell any of your friends.” She smiled, tweaking her nose and backing away before she slowly left his line of view.

The blue and gold just got itself a new member and as Jughead headed back into Pops, his hands flat on his letterman jacket, he flipped his palms over and smiled.

No marks.

Maybe she could help soothe the troubled storm that seemed to be constantly raging in his mind, and maybe he could help her in some way too.. he just had to find out how.
