BET Better get on that Boyz II Men biopic, you don't just drop them right on in here and not do a spin off
I was born in 96 so a lot of this music I just assumed was from the 90s. I had those black parents that just stayed playing oldies R&B because they couldn’t stand the new music coming, so The Jackson 5 biopic, The Temptations was all I really had that told stories about the artists I sort of grew up with, I don’t fuck with that bullshit Lifetime did to Whitney and Aaliyah and I definitely ain’t fucking with what they about to do to Britney but I digress… this biopic in my 21 years of life has been the best thing I have seen in a minute. How their story was told from them being little boys in Boston trying to perform at a talent show in front of 50 people suffering from a bit of stage fright to their own personal struggles (the drugs, drinking, babies, scam artist booking managers, divorces, inner conflicts with each other) to them putting aside their differences to be there for their bestfriend at his wedding and then reuniting for a 25th Anniversary concert segment was just so beautifully done. Algee, Woody, Bryshere, Elijah, Keith, Luke and even the little boys that played baby!New Edition were all so fantastic! They acted their asses off from Part 1 through 3, sung and danced to the Gods! Those men and boys deserve to be recognized for their performances. This right here is how you do a biopic.. if BET has done anything right.. this right here this is what they did right. No lie you gonna think I’m crazy or not but I put this right up there with The Temptations biopic and the TLC biopic. Just utterly fantastic. And New Edition needs to finally be giving their due, they were scammed out of being considered one of the best boy groups of their era. They deserved better.
