before-you-judge-me-yes-i-have-read-all-the-books

Alright, so, I’ll start this off by saying I am honestly not an expert on Kakyoin, contrary to popular belief (I’d actually consider myself more of an expert on Jotaro’s character, if anything), but I’m going to do my best to give my views on Kakyoin’s character, as well as some canon evidence to support it, and hopefully it will help a bit.

If you want a great reference of how to write Kakyoin in fic, go read Sand, sand and more sand on AO3, because it’s honestly one of the best depictions of Kak I’ve ever read, and he’s quite close to canon.

*ahem*

Kakyoin is pretty snarky. He’s subtle about it, but he’s also kind of a shithead. He’s polite most of the time, but it seems to be more of a setting he defaults to when he doesn’t feel entirely comfortable around the people he’s with. We have quite a few quips from him as examples of this, such as him laughing at andd mocking Anne during the dark blue moon arc, and saying she couldn’t possibly be the stand user on board, and in the Geb and N'Doul fight where he orders Polnareff to attack the canteen because he “doesn’t want to”. He also at one point responds to Polnareff saying “this looks bad!” with, “well it most certainly isn’t good.”

He’s blunt, but this also means that he’s honest. He dislikes liars, and prefers that everything is set out before him clearly and plainly as opposed to someone that is clearly dancing around the subject.

He also seems like quite the know-it-all, and likes being right; and he’s probably the type to argue with someone even if he knows he’s wrong. He seems to genuinely enjoy teaching the crusaders about the culture of all the places they visit on their journey, and he has the ability to retain all of that information to recant to them, as well. It seems to be somewhat of an interest of his.

And then there’s this, of course…

The cherry thing is something that kind of bothers me in fandom and fic. Yes; Kakyoin says that cherries are his favourite fruit. Child Kakyoin has cherries on his shirt (keep in mind that the scene with child kakyoin is added in my DavidPro and is not technically canon). BUT, it doesn’t mean that he has to have everything cherry-related. It’s a seriously overused trait in fandom to the point that it just becomes annoying. Kak can have a coffee without it having to be cherry flavoured. Just remember that he canonically enjoys lots of different foods, and that he doesn’t need to exclusively eat cherries and cherry flavoured things. He probably likes to eat foods from all different cultures.

Video games: There is evidence to suggest that Kakyoin spends a LOT of time playing F-Mega, however, this doesn’t mean that his extreme knowledge of the tracks and mechanics applies to every video game in existence. He’s a teenager, with no friends in the 80’s, of course he’s going to spend time playing video games. But back in the 80s, people often only had one or two games, so it’s likely that he has simply replayed F-Mega a LOT, to the point of knowing it by heart. I know the levels of Mario 3 extremely well, simply because I played them over and over again as a kid. If you are fixated on a single game for extended periods of time (especially if it’s the only game you own), you are of course going to know the game well. Knowing a lot about a single game does not mean that he’s obsessed with video games, and does not necessarily mean that he’s a shut-in, and never goes outside.

Also keep in mind that he says that he’s “pretty good at video games”. He doesn’t claim to be great at them, and since we’ve already established that Kakyoin is quite blunt, it would be out of character to assume that he’s being humble here. He literally means that he’s just “pretty good” at them. No more, no less.

His real-world experience is vast, and it’s also mentioned that his parents take him many places on vacation. He’s been to a lot of places, and retains cultural knowledge. It’s not as if he’s read it in books: he’s actually been to these places before, and he mentions it frequently. This suggests that he gets out quite a bit, and also kind of suggests that maybe he isn’t quite the model student type in school.

Kakyoin doesn’t appear to be the honours student & straight A’s type. He doesn’t think twice about skipping out on his new school to travel to Egypt, and as I said before, his knowledge appears to come more from first-hand experience rather than school studies (and I bet he missed more than a few of his classes due to the trips that he and his parents took). He’s a know-it-all, but it doesn’t mean that he does well in school.

On the other hand, Jotaro IS a model student, despite his delinquent status. It’s more likely that Jotaro would be the one helping Kakyoin with his homework.
(He might disrespect his teachers, but he still gets good grades, and let’s not forget that he becomes a marine biologist later in life.)

Kakyoin’s profile also mentions that he “appears very effeminite”. This is another thing that is often misinterpreted. His appearence may be somewhat feminine, and he takes pride in how he looks, but his personality and mannerisms are not inherently feminine.

He hates being forced into submission, and this is the reason why he despises Dio so much. Dio took advantage of his vulnerability and the fact that Kak didn’t have any friends to use him as his pawn. He drew Kak in, made him feel wanted, needed, and then took control of his mind and body.

“He appears to be very effeminate. In reality, he despises submitting to people or sucking up to them.” - Taken directly from his canon personality description.

Another thing that people seem to miss is the fact that he’s extremely sadistic. He says himself that Heirophant “loves nothing more than to rip things to shreds” and that it might “drive him mad with joy”. He likes being in control of the situation, remember. He probably hates losing fights, as well (especially since he could be considered a weakling for losing).

Kakyoin also seems to like Baseball, judging by his profile naming a favourite team, and sumo, as we all know from his exchange with Jotaro.

One of the things that fandom does definitely get right, is Kakyoin being the mother hen of the group. He’s taken on the role of the responsible one, because Joseph is… far from being an adult. He’s strategic and thinks everything out logically, and so is the mature one of the group, especially after Avdol’s “death”. He appears to be content to follow Joseph, but when it’s needed, he steps up and becomes the leader in his place. This is seen when Jotaro, Joseph and Polnareff start physically fighting random men that they suspect are the one in the Wheel of Fortune car, to which he says that, “this is not a good idea,” and that it’s, “getting out of hand”. It’s also seen in the tower of grey fight where he mentions that it’s better that he fights on the plane, because he’s the least destructive of the bunch (even though he’s capable of blasting holes into clock towers, apparently his emerald splash isn’t destructive; okay Kak…).

He’s also fiercely protective of his friends, and extremely loyal as well. Kakyoin isn’t the type to abandon his friends in any circumstance.

He’s a CASANOVA. While Jotaro draws more unwanted attention from girls due to his bad boy façade, Kakyoin is slick and smooth with them, so much so that they notice him more over Jotaro. He’s quick to diffuse the situation when Jotaro pushes the girls aside (again, in the tower of grey arc), and it’s just… yes.

Just look at this. You can bet your ass he’s not the type to blush and stutter as he’s confessing. Straight up grabbing the girl and apologizing for Jotaro. Smooth as butter.

Here are some other scenes that might be able to explain his character a bit better as well:

Mouthing off to Joseph- Jotaro approves.

This line is wonderful. (Again, to Joseph? It’s almost like they have this kind of rivalry going on, haha)

Some really good insight to his character and motivations (And one of my favourite Jotakak moments).

The anime kind of makes this out to be a sort of “Kakyoin mocking Polnareff” scene, but in the manga he seems like he’s just stating what he heard. Pretty matter-of-fact about the whole situation.

Unimpressed.

I believe that this is the first moment that Kakyoin really realizes that he and any of his companions can die at any moment. Avdol has been shot, and he’s in complete shock. This is a normal teenager that’s now painfully aware of the danger he’s putting himself in to help out Jotaro and Joseph. Sure, he realized that he would be involved in fights, and a little blood would be shed for the greater good, but I don’t think he had realized up to this point that he might actually die.

And here’s Kakyoin’s character bio.

It’s also notable that he didn’t tell his parents where he was going prior to leaving. This doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s in bad standing with his parents (especially since his dying thoughts were of them), and could possibly be because he didn’t want to worry them, or something of the sort, but the fact remains that he didn’t tell them beforehand. Take from this what you will.

So yeah, this is what I get from Kakyoin. He’s kind, loyal to a fault, and deeply in love with Jotaro– and he’s a pretty complex character to write. Don’t feel like you need to take all of this into account, because it’s hard to keep his entire character intact with fanfiction. A lot of his personality comes across in facial expressions, so it’s sometimes difficult to translate that into non-visual media. Just refer back to canon if you aren’t sure of something, and you should be fine. Good luck!

lmao muslim women only wear hijab because koran says that women body is dirty and you can only show your body to your father or man. koran control women. i'm happy that i'm human who independently and made independently decisions. not follow some misogyny book writen by man god who thinks men are better than women. religons are shit. believe in yourself not in some god man.

first of all, thank you for hiding behind the anonymous icon and judging me for a small piece of cloth i put on my head, it just proves how ignorant you are <3

now let me tell you a few things about the quran (yes, quran not Koran),  all too often, people read the quran selectively, taking phrases out of context,  use it for whatever point they want to make and i think you’re one of those people. unlike what you believe, islam is not a religion where women sit and take orders, actually I do not know of another religious tradition in which women were so central, so present, so active in its formative history, from the first years of islam women scholars taught judges and imams, issued fatwas, and traveled to distant cities. Some made lecture tours across the Middle East. the real question here is “Are Men and Women Equal Before Allah?” and any person with a brain, who read the quran knows that the answere to this question is YES  just one example is the verse 4:43 from sourat a’nissa’ ( the women), it starts by saying men and women are created “from one soul.” So the Koran starts from the assumption of absolute equality in creation.

“what do you think about all violent thing in writen in koran? murder, rape, violence, about men controlling everything women do? “ wow what kind of quran did you read??? bc the quran i read wasn’t like this, it was quite the opposit actually, the principle reason of fighting in Islam is self-defensive  “To those against whom war is made, permission is given (to fight), because they are wronged; and verily, God is most powerful for their aid…If God did not defend one set of people by means of another, then monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, in which the name of God is commemorated in abundant measure, would surely have been destroyed…” (22:39-40)

Further, Muslims are commanded not to be aggressive: “Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors” (2:190) In addition, when the enemy inclines toward peace, Muslims are commanded to cease hostilities: “But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace” (8:61). The guiding principle of Islam with respect to non-Muslims is one of tolerance and mutual respect, plain and simple: “God does not forbid you from dealing kindly and justly with those who do not fight you for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes: for God loveth those who are just.” (60:8)
now let’s talk about hijab. Muslim society prizes female modesty.  Hijab frees women from being thought of as sexual objects of desire or from being valued for their looks, or body shape rather then their minds and intellect.  No longer slaves to consumerism, hijab liberates women from the need to conform to unrealistic stereotypes and images dictated by the media.  Women wearing hijab have expressed that dressing modestly and covering their hair, minimises sexual harassment in the workplace. The aura of privacy created by hijab is indicative of the great value Islam places upon women. Hijab can be a symbol of piety and it can be a sign of great inner strength and fortitude.  A woman wearing hijab becomes a very visible sign of Islam that’s why,  in the last 30 years hijab has emerged as a sign of Islamic consciousness.  Many women see wearing the hijab as indicative of their desire to be part of an Islamic revival, especially in countries where the practice of Islam is discouraged or even forbidden.

whew that was long, sorry if i made many mistakes english isn’t my first language (not even 2nd), thank you.

Beautiful - Jughead Jones

xfightxthexfairiesx said:

Could you maybe do a jughead x reader where betty and veronica want the reader to tryout for cheerleading with them but shes to self concious too because she think shes not pretty or skinny enough to be one. Then maybe jughead tells her how he thinks she beautiful and society tries to make everyone think they have to look like a supermodel to be pretty. If there can be alot of fluff that would be great. And then she decides to try out and she makes the team. Thanks

This was so fun to write! I just wanted to say before you start reading that if you are struggling with your looks, gender, sexuality and that makes you feel bad, everyone is going through this too. Some have made it through it already and some are still struggling. If you need to talk to someone you can message me. You’re wonderful.

It started as a joke, something you would’ve never done unless it was in some hypothetical universe where you just weren’t you. Where you weren’t ugly or fat, instead where you were skinny and beautiful. There were unspoken rules that cheerleaders had to be the best of the best; beyond pretty and gorgeous. The whole idea of joining seemed impossible, but with Veronica and Betty breathing down your neck, it was hard to say ‘no’. So you didn’t, instead you just avoided the two girls all day. Somehow you managed this feat and made it through the day without joining the cheerleading squad. Granted, the tryouts weren’t until tomorrow so you would have yet another day of avoiding your friends.

When school ended, you went straight home and didn’t dare move from your room in the fear your friends would see you out and about. With boredom nipping at your heels, you found yourself thinking about your looks, then criticizing your figure in the mirror. Too big there, too jiggly here, you started to judge every limb and appendage. At first, you didn’t even notice the tears in your eyes, until one started to roll down your cheek. You quickly wiped it anyway, marking down another thing you hated about yourself: too sensitive. You weren’t as strong or as stunning as the celebrities on the internet and the TV screens, no, you were just below average you. Before anymore poisonous thoughts could enter your brain, you heard your phone go off. You walked over to your desk where it was and saw that it was your neighbor, Jughead Jones. You felt a sense of relief that it wasn’t Veronica or Betty.

Jughead : Hey can I come over? I don’t understand this geometry homework.

You : Sure, but I don’t know how much help I’ll be.

Jughead : Okay, be there in two.

You turned towards your window and saw Jughead leaving his room in the house across from yours. His family had lived in the house across from yours as long as you could remember. You had been friends since the first grade, when the Jones’ family moved in. You walked back over to the mirror and an horrid idea struck you. From this angle, Jughead could’ve had the perfect view to see you standing in front of the mirror, to see how upset you were. A pit grew in your stomach as you heard your front door open a shut, followed by the sound of Jughead running up your stairs.

You turned as your friend opened the door, barely making eye contact. You noticed his hands were empty and your heart fell. “Where’s your Geometry book?” You asked hopefully, trying to pretend that there was a chance he didn’t see you judging yourself in the mirror. You glanced up from his hands and saw his steady gaze. “Do you really think about my Geometry homework?” You swallowed at his words and your shoulders sagged. “There are these things,” he started, walking over to your window, “called curtains, that if you want to judge yourself in private you can just…” He reached up and gently pulled on one of your curtains, blocking the view of his bedroom window. “I wasn’t, I was just,” you stumbled over your words.

“I overheard the new girl trying to convince to join the Riverdale Vixens,” he said, faking school spirit by waving his hands with minimal effort. “I assume, you and your mirror were having a conversation about it.” You knew that there was no fooling Jughead, he could read you like a book. No lie could cover your bad self image and he wouldn’t buy it anyway. “I’m not pretty enough,” you whispered, feeling tears in the corners of your eyes. Jughead took a step towards you, leaning down to look into your face, “Say again?” You almost started to sob, “Jug, please don’t,” but your friend wasn’t having it. He placed his hands on your shoulders, slowly turning you to look into the mirror. “Now,” he murmured in your ear, “say it again.” You stared at your reflection, studying the features that you so hated. You were about to say it, but with Jughead looking at you with those eyes, you just couldn’t. You felt his hands travel from your shoulders, down your arms, and to your waist where they wrapped around your middle. You back rested against his chest and he rested his chin on top of your head. “You are so beautiful Y/N. Nothing can worth changing yourself for.” You turned in his arms to face him now and felt your cheeks grow hot at the closeness, “Jug…” He was just staring at you now, mesmerized by every detail.

“You’re so lovely, don’t let the world make you think you’re not,” his hand was on the side of your face, with his fingers in your hair. He was so utterly taken by your grace, he had been since grade school. It was killing him that you didn’t see yourself as he did and he was desperate to make you see it; but now wasn’t the time. He backed away a little, pulling his hand away from your face, “You should try out, you’ll blow them away Y/N.” You snapped out of your puppy-love induced daze and nodded. “T-thank you, Jug. I will.” He gave you a bright smile that met his green eyes. He opened his mouth once more, most likely to mention your shared moment, but he phone started to ring. He picked it out of his pocket and scowled at the screen. “I gotta go,” he said, walking towards the door, “but I’ll see you at the game, and you’ll be in a snazzy uniform.” You let out a laugh as he walked out of the room. When he was gone, you let out a sigh With a renewed sense of confidence, you texted Veronica and Betty.

You : I’ll be seeing you both at tryouts tomorrow, yes?

Veronica : Hell yes!

Betty : This is going to be so fun.

You paced around near the bleachers, pulling your jacket more securely around your shoulders and chest. Jughead had texted you a few hours before the game saying that he’d be near the right side of the bleachers. You stopped your pacing and looked out at the field, wondering if you needed to move. You almost screamed when someone put their hand on your shoulder. “Am I that scary?”

You turned and smiled at Jughead, who wore a playful expression. “How’d tryouts go, you never told me?” He asked with raised eyebrows. You bit your bottom lip, giving him a sly smile. “Did you not-” you cut him off by pulling the sides of your over sized jacket away from your body. He smiled when he saw the cheerleading uniform, “See what did I tell ya!”

You blushed but before you could say anything you heard a whistle go off. “I believe that’s your que, River Vixen.” You gave him another smile and was about to walked away when you spun around. You faced Jughead, planting a hand on his face, pulling him in. Your lips met softly, but as soon as he put a hand to your waist, the kiss became frenzied. You pulled away breathless but smiling widely, “I’ll see you after the game, Jughead.” You murmured and Jughead just nodded dumbly. “See you later, beautiful.” He said and your felt a blush rise to your cheeks. You walked away then, leaving a smile on Jughead’s face.

This is not what you imagined months ago while daydreaming of what you would be doing today. Sitting in class all day or leaning against the counter at work, visualizing hundreds of scenarios where you and your knight in shining armor are having the time of your life on the one day in the whole year set aside just for love. He would be wearing a black suit and tie, his hair brushed and looking at you as if you fished out all the stars in the universe and put them in your eyes. And you would be wearing a dress made of silk that took weeks of extra shifts but it would be all worth it when he’d see you, hair made up and a lovesick smile on your lips.

February 14th is supposed to be a night you’d never forget in your entire life, a night you’d look back on while holding your children and looking at your husband, saying wow, where did the time go? It’s not supposed to end up with you looking at racks and racks of cards for every possible occasion at nine in the evening with a frown as deep. You’re probably the only person in the small 24 hour store beside the clerk himself, who frankly looks like he doesn’t want to be here more than you.

I know you said the characters needs to be ready to come out, so I hope asking this is cool? As a trans boy I'm really interested in how Dallas Deals with being trans? And how his environment reacted?

Since this probably won’t be elaborated in comic.. He comes out at an early age. His dad was still alive. He was probably 7 when he started pulling at his pigtails. His mom bought him a pair of really pretty dolphin-pendant hair ties and he felt so bad for telling her he didn’t want it. He probably felt really mean so he’d wear it around his wrists. when he was 8 he asks his mom if he could cut his hair short and she and his dad agreed. Dallas wasn’t a very spoiled kid, and his dad let him do and wear whatever he pleased with his body (so long as it wasn’t harmful, or anything.)
So yeah. When Dallas was 9, him and his dad were going dress shopping for a family seder, but Dallas had failed an exam and he already had a really crappy day so he just. Sat down on a bench near the stores and Started Crying.

His dad says, “Abby, what’s wrong?”
and he says, he doesn’t know why he’s crying, but he says, wearing dresses makes him uncomfortable. He shows his dad the hair tie and he says he feels bad saying no to all the stuff his parents buy him, but he’s just. He appreciates it but he doesn’t know what to do with it.
While yes, in later years he will understand that it’s 100% okay for a boy to wear dresses and makeup, and other things typically considered “feminine”, when he was a kid, he had an intense need to “pass.”
His parents are confused, but only at first.
Dallas is very lowkey. After his dad dies, him and his mom and baby sister move to Oregon. At his school. He’s always introduced himself as Dallas Ezra Margolin. His deadname would be Shulamite Abigail Margolin.
When he was 9, his mom cried a lot, and Dallas was scared she was disappointed, but she tells him, she was scared of how many times she’d unintentionally hurt him. Dallas flushed and asked his mom if she could pick him a new name (he loves his mom a Lot). His dad was jealous, and Dallas told him he could pick a name for Dallas too (Abe Margolin Is A Nerd)
Dallas’ mom picked the name of her favorite character from her favorite book, and his dad chose Ezra, which is Dallas’s grandpa’s name.
When Dallas starts T at 14 or 15, it’s the same year he joins the baseball team. Everyone just assumes that Dallas is a shy boy when he refuses to change into gear in front of anyone.
Poppy had sort of suspected. She’d always cuddle Dallas when they sleep together, (she’s very cuddly) and she felt the little clasps that some of Dallas’ binders have. She doesn’t say anything. Doesn’t feel the need to say anything.
There’s a silent understanding between her and Dallas.
Dallas does plan on telling Malek and Poppy, he’s just. Not sure how.
Until, of course. His mom let him have surgery. He set Malek and Poppy aside. Sits their asses down. “Please listen to me. I need you. This is really important to me. I don’t want you to think that I’m anyone other than Dallas-” his voice cracks, and Malek is about to make a joke, but Poppy is like, quit it.
Because she can see how nervous Dallas is. And Dallas just. Says his mom is gonna let him have top surgery. And Malek is Confused, and Dallas elaborates, Poppy Is Swelling Because She Loves Dally So much. Malek is horrified (keep reading on this pls don’t judge Malek yet) And Dallas can see that. And his mind is all “he doesn’t see you as a real boy.” But Malek is horrified because of all the times he called Dallas a “drama queen.” A “prissy princess” as jokes. He feels awful and sick and he owes Dallas a ton of apologies.
But Malek doesn’t want to make this all about himself. So he shakes his head and he hugs Dallas, like. Really obnoxiously tight. Like the combined force of his binder and Malek’s hug made it really hard to breathe. Malek doesn’t let go for a good, long, while. He mumbles
he supports Dallas All the Way, and he’ll always listen to what Dallas has to say. Later when Malek has Dallas all to himself, he apologizes for all the dumb names he’s called Dallas before.
One time Blake calls Dallas a bitch and Malek is all, freaked, and he’s all pissy at Blake, and everyone is all, whoah Malek what’s gotten into you man? And Malek apologizes. And Dallas decides he should come out to rest of the team. They’re his best friends. Blake feels terrible and says sorry. It’s the only time Blake has genuinely said sorry to anyone and it’s really a miracle to behold. Next practice, Dallas finally feels comfortable changing in front of everyone. Nobody bats an eyelash, and Dallas is so relieved.
There’s really.. A lot more but I wanna include the other stuff in comic so this is all I can give you! But a lot of stuff. In the comic. Soon.

There’s something… he’s forgetting something. Everything? Something.

Dean wipes his face off and splashes water on it, a vague sense of deja vu overtaking him. He feels - he doesn’t know how to describe it. Something’s wrong, very wrong, but he’s not sure what.

Yes, but what if? (Yoonmin masterpost/prompt)

Okay so a few months ago I read this fanfiction. In a few words IT WAS THE BEST YOONMIN FANFICTION I’VE READ IN THE ENTIRETY OF MY LIFE. It’s based on real events and the only thing I can say is that ever since I read it my brain is convinced that this actually happened between Yoonmin. If you haven’t read it I insist you do.

This fanfic describes how Yoonmin were in love since they met but hadn’t realized it until the period Yoongi had written/recorded First Love. The writer (Hello, by the way, if you are reading this! I hope you don’t mind me promoting your awesome work. I asked for permission in your comments, but if you have a problem just tell me and I’ll take it down.) bless them, talks about how the rest of Bangtan found out Yoongi and Jimin were in love before the two of them did. If I continue I probably won’t stop. So please read it! Especially if you are a Yoonmin stan.

So as I said, my fantasy world is set in a reality where this actually happened. And in this reality, (also in the fanfic, according to the time it’s placed in) Yoongi and Jimin got together on the day Yoongi recorded First Love. So that means that in this picture

they have just begun dating. *Reminder: This is all happening in my brain. I have formed my own reality. Nothing is true* Okay so, because  my brain needed more of this story, I began putting real events into this fantasy world in a way that would seem like the two are actually together. Do you get me? Like, I’d watch/read whatever happened on twitter or in Bangtan Bombs, having in mind that the two of them were actually together. I’m weird I know. I hope I’m not the only one who does this, or else it’d be really awkward. Here are some of these moments.

*Credits to the owners*

I’d watch these and think that when they were filming this, they were actually together. It made my heart flutter every time. Again I hope other shippers do that too.

So, because I needed to convince my self that this fantasy world really existed, I began making audios, writing fics, drawing fanart based on this world. I wanted to make something like Behind The Scenes moments that didn’t actually exist. I hope anyone out there can relate. Yoonmin has taken over my life and it’s the only thing that occupies my mind ever since I read that fanfic.

During this period I’ve come up with the following. It’s more of a prompt for a fanfic. It’s extremely stupid but I can’t help my self.

*ALL THE FOLLOWING ARE FIGMENTS OF MY IMAGINATION! NOTHING REALLY HAPPENED!!*

So Yoonmin supposedly got together some time in August. Suga’s mixtape was released around that time (correct me if I’m wrong), but the songs were written long before. Here’s a fanfic that fits this story line. Then their WINGS comeback was in October. During that time Yoongi and Jimin were still exploring this new territory.

Their first time was some time in early November.

And the talk was in early December. I’m shit at writing fanfics but I’ll try my best to explain what was said during the talk. It went a little like this:

Yoongi and Jimin were lying on the couch in their dorm living room at night chatting about different things (because in reality that’s what Yoonmin loves to do with each other)

when Yoongi said.(for a second time that night)

“I can’t imagine my life without you” or “I wouldn’t mind spending the rest of my life with you.”

Jimin sat in silence for a while, scrunching up his nose (in that cute way he does) in confusion.

“Hyung, are you proposing?” he asked looking up at Yoongi. Yoongi was confused by the question but then said something like:

“I know we can’t get married in Korea, but if we could would, you marry me?” or like “I know it’s impossible because no1 we are idols no2 no one knows about us(*supposedly they hadn’t ‘come out’ to the rest of BTS, despite the fact that BTS knew they’d end up together before them*) and no3 we live in a country where marriage between men is not allowed, but lets say non of these were in the way. Would you want to spend the rest of your life with me?”

And then Jimin kissed him softly and ran his fingers through Yoongi’s black hair.

“Of course I’d marry you, Yoongi. I love you way too much. And even if we can’t get married, I’d still want to spend the rest of my life with you, no matter what.” And they kissed again.

They exchanged gentle kisses for a couple of minutes until Jimin pulled back and said.

“Yoongi? I think we can.”

“What?” Yoongi asked, a little light-headed from Jimin’s kisses.

“I think we can get married. I have an idea.” Jimin said.

So Jimin explained his idea, that being them going to the United States for their Wings Tour and getting married there. They’d do it in private, just the two of them and a witness *they later decided on RM, because no1 he was the leader and deserved to know, no2 he wouldn’t judge them(none of the boys would but those were Jimin’s insecurities talking) and no3 he could speak english so they would be able to communicate with the people there*. They’d do it on their second day in New Ark, NJ, in the morning before they started getting ready for the concert. When I tell you I did research for this I’m not kidding. I literally looked up ‘how can gay couples get married in Newark?’. I don’t even know what I’m doing with my life anymore.

“No one has to know. We won’t cause a scandal, because no one will find out. We’ll tell management that we went out to get coffee or whatever. We’ll just go and sign the papers. And in the future, if marriage gets legal back at home and we can be who we really are without fear, we can actually have a ceremony there.” Jimin said.

Anyways, during the next week they did their own research, filling out marriage license applications, talking with Namjoon (RM told them that they all knew and would all be present that day). Everything was settled before they left for the tour. They had even booked the appointment with the center.

Then I got inspiration and created this, which happened during their stop in NY before heading to Chile. During the rest of the tour they were pretty much occupied with rehearsals and sleep. They got the same room in hotels and, even though they were really tired every night, they always kissed each other good night and whispered a ‘saranghe’ before falling asleep in each other’s arms.

So as I said, this is all in my brain. I know it’s fake and I know that ‘of course Yoongi and Jimin aren’t getting married in real life and you are stupid for thinking it can actually happen.’ That’s what I told my self a week ago and I had almost forgotten about it, when Day 2 of the Newark concert came around and I saw this:

The photo was taken after their concert on their second day in Newark.

Then I noticed the ring on Jimin’s finger.

Jimin’s been wearing this ring for quite a while now, but the fact that it was on his fourth finger and the fact that Yoongi

had the same one on his fourth finger got me going crazy. Of course it’s a coincidence but I can’t help but think of this other reality. I’m mean, yes nothing’s real, but what if?

Anyways I wanted to share this, because

1. I wanted to know if anyone else in this world had the same thoughts (please tell me, I want to know)

2. I am Yoonmin trash and just can’t help it.

3. I hope someone writes a fanfic about this.  I’d do it but I can’t write. And if you do let me know!

4. I don’t know what I’m doing with my life anymore…

Anyways thanks for reading! I hope I didn’t tire you. But then again if I did you wouldn’t be reading this now. ;)

Have a wonderful rest of the day!! And enjoy this married couple.

Both my mother and my uncle are Christians and I have grown up in the church my entire life, but I have found none of it convincing enough to consider Christianity myself I find it all to be a bunch of emotional nonsense, and while I don’t think there is anything wrong with people believing it, because I have seen how it comforts my mother, I just don’t see how there is any logic to it. My uncle told me that there is actually a lot of scientific and historical evidence to back Christianity up1/2

such as proof that some of the crazy stories that happened in the Bible actually happened and that Jesus was a real person, and did do all the things the Bible claimed he did. Can you back his claim up? 2/2

I would like to apologize if my earlier ask came off sounding rude, I have been told I can be a bit blunt and insensitive, I am merely curious and did not mean to sound rude when I said I found Christianity to be a bunch of emotional nonsense. I really am curious about the validity of Christianity.

No worries, friend! I am fully aware of how crazy Christianity sounds. People rising from the dead? Walking on water? Impenetrable cities falling because a bunch of people walked in circles? Trust me, I get how crazy Christianity sounds. I wouldn’t believe it without proof either.

First let’s start with what is the point of Christianity? Is it a feel-good religion? No, it’s not. If I simply wanted a place to feel good about myself, I would go over to the New Age movement or Hinduism. The Bible tells me I’m a sinner and I deserve to burn in eternal suffering for my actions. There’s not much to feel good about that there. Actually, the Bible tells me that even – or rather, especially – as a Christian I should expect trial and tribulation in this life. People die every day for their faith in Jesus. Does that sound like a feel-good religion? If that was all there was to Christianity, you had better believe I would want nothing to do with it.

So then what is the point of Christianity? The point is that I need God. The Bible proves to me that I am a depraved sinner. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” I have broken God’s law. I have lied, I have stolen, I have hated (which God says is murder of the heart). God, as a just judge, cannot let wrongs go unpunished. A good judge wouldn’t let a lying, thieving, murderer go free without paying for their crimes, and no amount of good can change the fact that a crime has been committed. God is so perfect, that even the smallest offense cannot go unpunished. What I deserve, what we all deserve, is death which is eternity in Hell. Still depressing, I know. Keep tracking with me.

Because no amount of good works can save me, because I can’t earn my salvation, because I am destitute and dead in my sins, Jesus died to save me. He took my punishment, and died a horrible death on a cross so that I could have eternal life. I was a sinner, an enemy of God, but through Jesus’ sacrifice I can have a relationship with God. John 3:16 says, “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Now how do we know all of that is true? How do we know the Bible is true? I am so very glad you asked!

God says this, in Jeremiah 29:13, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” There is an overwhelming amount of evidence for the Bible if you look, and we’re going to take a look at just a few aspects of proof.

Did you know that the Bible is the most historically accurate ancient book we have? From the events that took place, to the people mentioned, to the duplication of manuscripts, and the corroboration of witnesses, the preservation of history that we have within the Bible exceeds every other source of ancient documentation by a landslide. And yes, Jesus was absolutely a real person!

I link to this video often, but I’m going to do it again because I really love it. It’s simple, yet brilliant. Definitely worth the watch. It’ll take you more step-by-step through how we know the Bible can be trusted on a historical level by comparing it to internal and external sources.

Now let’s talk about some crazy stories. One of my favorites is Jericho, the impenetrable city that the Israelites took when its walls fell down. Archeologists revealed some rather interesting anomalies when they excavated the great city. A few of the highlights include a single section of wall still standing (Rahab’s house was spared, according to the Bible), grain that was left (a valuable prize that would have normally been saved for use, but God told the Israelites to leave it behind), and the fact that the walls fell outward (in turn creating a ramp for the Israelites to ascend into the city). These are all things that, under normal circumstances, simply don’t add up from a historical and archeological perspective. You can read more about Jericho here.

We could talk about the flood for an awful long time, but I’ll just link you to this post where I’ve already began to expound on some of the geological and scientific evidence that supports the Bible (DID I MENTION DINOSAURS).

Creation in general is just an AMAZING way we see God at work. Just the fact that you exist is a miracle. Your brain, your eyes, your heart, your lungs, your nervous system, your thoughts… none of which the complexity of such has ever been duplicated. You are a marvel. Did you know that the very glue that holds you together is shaped like a cross? Laminin is a microscopic building block essential to your being, it binds you together, and it looks like this:

Now, just for a moment imagine there is a God who loves you, who made you with the utmost care and attention. Who, before you were born, knew the colour of your eyes and the sound of your laugh, the shape of your hands and every one of your favorite foods. Then, God, who formed you, put His mark on you, His thumbprint, just to say, “This is my beautiful creation.”

You can call it coincidence, sure, but just how many times can you call something a coincidence? Eventually a pattern emerges. Little or big, things start adding up, and the more we explore the world we live in, the more we see that it points us right back to a divine Creator.

These are just a few pieces of evidence, this is just the tip of the iceberg. There is SO much more to find if you look for it. Like the hundreds of prophesies Jesus fulfilled while he was alive, written centuries before His birth. Or the things written about in the Bible that modern science didn’t recognize until much, much later. I believe in God because everything I have ever seen brings me right back to Him. The Bible has proven itself to be authentic, excelling every test put to it. The world simply cannot provide answers like the Bible can, there is no substitute for the truth.

Bookworm

Request from anon: Hey!! Could you possibly write an imagine where she is a little wary of Draco judging her whenever he walks past as she really likes him. But she is like Hermione where she has her head in books quite a lot and so quickly hides it when he walks past but he notices it and with a smirk comes and sits next to her and eventually tells her he likes her in some way with a wink?? Thankyou I think you’ll crush it

Thank you for requesting anon, I’ll be turning requests off after hitting post on this. I’m sorry if any of you have any ideas - I have a month until I take my exams and I really need to be revising. I’m honestly so sorry but I’ll obviously upload from time to time with the requests that have already been submitted and after my exams are finished it’ll get back to normal. So, I updated my masterlist in case any of you wanted to see all of my posts.

In the meantime, enjoy ;)

Nightcap [Jason Todd x Reader]

Asked by anon: “Jason Todd x reader where the reader sleeps over for the first time”

A/N: Here you go beautiful anon! I hope you love it! Gotta love some fluffy Jason.

_________

Tonight was your and Jason’s designated date night. As always it ended with the both of you out late exiting one of your favorite restaurants. Tonight it was your night to pick the place, and you went for a simple bar that had good food and drinks.

It’s of mutual liking between the both of you. But sadly like all nights the date was coming to an end.

Walking out of the warm building and onto the cold Gotham street. The chill of the air immediately nipping at your exposed skin. A shiver ran through your body as you let out a shaky sigh. Your warm breath showing in the frigid air.

Jason noticed and wrapped an arm around you. Pulling you into his side, his warmth intermixing with yours. “I hate this weather” you shivered again.

“Yeah, it sucks. My apartment’s warm, wanna come over for a nightcap?” he offered as the both of you began to walk. “Hmm” you hummed, thinking about the offer as your steps matched with his.

“I think that’s just what I need to warm up” you smiled up at him.

“Then it’s settled” he said before grabbing your hand and taking off with you in tow. Almost falling in the process.

“JASON!”

When you got to his apartment building you were panting and hunched over, saying “You. Are. A. Jerk.” between breaths.

He chuckled as you stood back up straight. Cupping your face with his gloved hands, “But I’m your jerk” smiling down at you.

“Yes, yes you are” was what you could get in before he leaned down and connected his lips to yours softly. He pulled away saying, “Come on lets go.. warm up” he wiggled his eyebrows.

Chuckling and shaking your head, “Jason get your mind out of the gutter.” You walked away and up to the doors of the apartment building.

“Hey come back” he whined before catching up to you.

You then followed him up to his apartment. He unlocked the door and opened it a crack before turning and blocking your entrance. You gave him a ‘what the fuck’ look.

He smirked, “What’s the magic word?” he teased. Rolling your eyes, you reached up and crashed your lips into his. Catching him off guard. His hand slipped from the handle and fell on your hip.

You pulled away and looked into his blue eyes, “That’ll do” he said before pushing the door open the rest of the way.

Laughing you walked in and he followed. Though you went and plopped down on his couch while he went into the kitchen. “Jack Daniel’s or Crown Royal?!” he yelled from the kitchen.

“Do you only own whiskey?” you yelled back laughing. There was a moment of silence before you heard a faint “maybe.”

“I don’t care, I chose dinner you choose drink” you looked around the room. Hearing the clinking of bottles and glasses you waited patiently for him to come in. Standing up you went and clicked on his sound system, and looking through the CDs.

“Who uses CDs anymore?” you chuckled, flipping through the plastic cases.

“Are you judging my CDs again?” you heard his voice behind you. “A little” you picked one of his favorites out before putting it in the sound system.

“You don’t judge vinyls” he walked up to you, handing you the glass with the gold tinted liquid. “Those are different, they have an old timely vibe to them. CDs not so much” taking a swig of the gold as it burned down your throat.

“Ouch” he looked at you slightly hurt. Laughing you kissed his cheek before making your way to the couch again. He followed and sat down next to you.

He held his glass to you, “To nights off” smiling you clinked your glass to his before finishing off the drink. “Impressive” he nodded at you before leaning to grab the bottle and fill your glass again.

You both went on like that, just talking and drinking. Before you knew it, the clock struck twelve. “Aw shit” you looked at the clock, feeling buzzed.

“When did it get so late?” questioning before looking back at him. “I’d offer you a ride home but not after drinking” he looked at you apologetically.

“It’s fine, I’m sure my roommate will come get me” reaching for your phone on the coffee table. But Jason’s hand stopped you, “No” he said quickly,

“What?” you cocked an eyebrow at him.

“I-I mean, what if you, ya know. Stayed the night here? With me?” he asked. Now having your one hand on both of his. Rubbing his thumbs over your knuckles.

You were a bit stunned at the question. Yeah you’d been dating for around 3 months but you’d never stayed the night before. You guys were taking your time. You met his blue hues once again, seeing the determination but worry in his eyes.

Smiling you answered, “Yeah, I’d love to”

His mouth curved into a beaming grin before scooping you up into his arms. He’s being awfully affectionate. Making you happy he was so comfortable with you, so vulnerable. Knowing everything that happened to him, it was no easy feat.

He set you down before going to his closet. Grabbing a black t-shirt he turned and handed it to you. “Thank you” you smiled at him.

Heading in to the bathroom adjoining his room you heard him begin to get changed too. Closing the door, you changed into the t-shirt leaving your legs. bare.

Re-entering the bedroom he was laying on his bed in only sweatpants, reading a page of the book you had gotten him for your three months. Smiling, you leaned against the doorway observing him.

The way his hair was messy, the white streak falling to his forehead. His blue eyes focused on the page of words. Breathing level and soft. Your eyes fell to his scar ridden body. They littered his arms, chest, stomach, everywhere. Each of them a symbol of what he’d gone through. But he’s okay now. You love him, even though you haven’t told him yet.

Shifting your stance made the floor creek and his eyes moved to the source of the sound. He stared at you for a moment, taking in the sight of you in one of his shirts. He couldn’t help but think how beautiful you are.

You smiled and walked over to the opposite side of the bed, sitting next to him. “You’re beautiful you know that?” he marked his page before closing the book.

“So I’ve heard” You smiled at him.

He pulled back the blankets as you both climbed under them. His arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you into his chest. You trailed your fingers up and down his arm. “I love you” he interrupted your movements.

Your breath caught in your throat as you looked up at him. His blue orbs watched you as your eyes met. Smiling your hand trailed to his cheek as you pressed your lips to his. “I love you too” your lips ghosting over his.

Smiling he kissed you again, you pulled away and cuddled into the crook of his neck. He kissed your hair, “Goodnight [F/n]”

Smiling you kissed his exposed chest, “Goodnight Jay”

His arms wrapped around you tighter as the both of you fell asleep in each others arms and legs tangled under the sheets.

You Have No Idea

At lunch with a friend recently, I heard the following,

“Every time I sit down to write, I just know that it’s terrible and I cringe that anyone has to read it, so I’m really glad I’m not a writer.”

My friend wasn’t a writer by profession. She was just talking about the writing she has to do for her regular job. Nonetheless, I told her that if she were a writer, I would tell her that the first thing she needs to do is get rid of the idea that she knows in advance if something she writes is going to be good or bad. The attitude that so many people have (often instilled in them from bad writing teachers in school) is what prevents a lot of us from unlocking our writing potential.

You’re not a bad writer.

You’re just getting started.

Telling yourself that you’re bad is the best way to never get started.

This idea that we prejudge what we’re good or bad at before we even put words to the page is just so damaging. And in our culture, people do it all over the place. I’m bad at music because I can’t just pick up an instrument and play a concerto. I’m bad at cooking because I burn things sometimes. I’m bad at exercising because I’m overweight or slow. I’m bad at dancing because I have to focus so hard on listening to the music that sometimes I step on someone else’s foot.

Caring about other people’s opinions is half the problem.

The other half of the problem is not giving yourself a chance.

I’m not saying everyone is destined to become Yo-Yo Ma if they’d just practice every day. But you can enjoy things even if you’re not making a profession out of them. And you may be surprised if you give yourself a chance to see what you can do if you stop telling yourself it’s impossible.

Everyone is bad to begin with. Yes, even professionals. My first draft of a novel is often terrible. And most of my ideas are laughably bad. You just don’t see all of them because I accept that most of what I write is going to be bad and I give myself permission to make mistakes and try it anyway. Then I choose the best parts. Later.

You have no idea what’s going to be good or bad while you’re producing it. This is one of the first rules that I think creative types need to learn. Especially at the beginning, you’re going to feel uncomfortable trying things out and you’re going to have to learn to withhold judgment for a little while.

I’m sitting right now on a short story that I’ve decided I need to give a couple of months before I decide whether or not I should send it out. That’s normal for me. Sometimes, I’m pleasantly surprised at how good something I wrote is. Sometimes the reverse happens and I put it away. Sometimes I cut out six chapters in a book and rewrite them all. Sometimes the idea of the book is good but every single word I’ve got down is wrong and it’s time to start from the beginning. This doesn’t mean I’m a bad writer. It means I’m a writer.

This process of judging good from bad is part of being a writer, but you’ve got nothing to judge if you don’t give yourself a chance.

I don’t know who told you that you’re a bad writer, but that’s not their job. A teacher isn’t supposed to give that as feedback. They’re supposed to help you get better. Spelling mistakes and run-on sentence issues are not problems that have stopped a bunch of professional writers I know. Trust me on this. That’s what copy editors are for.

Stop pre-judging your efforts before you even try. I mourn sometimes for the great works of literature we will never see because so many people think that they’re no good because it’s not perfect out of the chute. You have no idea.

You go on holiday abroad with all the members as friends for a vacation and photoshoots and fall in love with a member fluff plz

so I went with Wonwoo! ♥ lmao I didn’t feel like/didn’t want to specify where exactly this “abroad” is, so you can use your imagination, but fairly close to Korea either way.

When you had first head of the opportunity to join Seventeen on their trip abroad for a vacation that also included some photoshoots for their next album, you didn’t even have to think about your answer.

A trip with thirteen of your best friends? No one would be able to keep you from going.

The preparations were exciting, with your group chat being filled with “What are you taking with you?” and “Can you believe we’re leaving in two days?” instead of the usual bantering. Naturally that didn’t exactly disappear, either, but it was obviously overshadowed by the excitement for the trip.

When the day of the flight finally came, you met up with the boys and some of their staff members at the airport - you didn’t even have to ask them where they were, because if the familiar, bright hair of Joshua, Jihoon or Minghao didn’t catch your attention, the noisiness sure did.

“Geez, you’re attracting everyone’s attention,” you said while laughing when you reached the boys, who just laughed at you, and some of them gave you quick, excited hugs. “If I didn’t know better, I’d guess this was your first trip overseas.”

“It’s as exciting every time as it was the first, you know,” Soonyoung said with a grin, and all the others agreed. You shrugged with a bright smile taking over your features.

“I guess that’s understandable,” you replied and looked around. “Are we going to check in soon?”

Vernon hummed to Check-In quietly while fiddling with his phone and Seungcheol joined him (you could barely stop yourself from joining in, too), whereas Seungkwan exchanged a few words with the staff members and turned to you. “We should move there now, yeah.”

So you did, and an hour or so later you were all boarding the plane, looking for your seats and putting your hand luggage up to the overhead locker with casual chattering, now noticeably quieter than at the airport. The flight wouldn’t be longer than four or five hours, you could recall, and you found yourself seated between Wonwoo and Jeonghan.

For most of the flight, you listened to music and stole glances at the book Wonwoo was reading. Jeonghan, on the other hand, was dozing off for… well, pretty much the whole flight, with his jacket spread over himself and his eye mask making sure he wasn’t disturbed by light. You looked at him every now and then, only to smile when you noticed that he was still sleeping.

When Wonwoo got a small box of candy from his pocket, he nudged you lightly and gave you a small smile when you took one of your earphones off and turned to look at him curiously. “Do you want some?”

“Oh, sure,” you said, still surprised, and stuck your hand forward so that Wonwoo could give you some of the candy. It wasn’t particularly sweet, but tasted good nevertheless. You smiled at him. “Thanks.”

He shook his head, his nose crinkling a little with the wideness of his smile, and put the box back into his pocket before returning to the book he was reading.

“I could’ve taken some, too,” Seungkwan muttered from his seat on the other side of the aisle, and got a chuckle from Wonwoo.

“I might give you some later if you behave well,” he said amusedly, and Seungkwan squinted almost dramatically.

“What do you mean ‘behave well’?” the younger one asked and leaned closer, only to get a quirked eyebrow from Wonwoo.

“You’ll see.”

The plane landed on time, and after you had all gotten your luggage, you moved to a bus that had been reserved for you well beforehand in order for you to get to the hotel. During the journey, Chan excitedly told you about his list of things he wanted to do during the trip, with Minghao occasionally commenting “I want to do that, too” and Seungcheol chipping in with a realistic “Remember that there might not be enough time for all of that.”

Chan nodded, and while he was still smiling brightly, it was obvious that he hadn’t taken into account how much time doing everything on the list would take. His voice was a mere mumble when he eyed his list. “I’ll have to choose the most important ones, then…”

The hotel was admittedly more extravagant than you had expected it to. It wasn’t quite a 5-star one, but it was so much more than you had imagined. Even the members were all in awe when you entered the lobby with your suitcases, meanwhile the staff members had content smiles on their faces - after all, they had known exactly what kind of a place they were headed to.

“This place looks really expensive,” you muttered, still incredibly amazed, and got agreeing hums from the members.

Mingyu whistled quietly. “Gotta be careful here, huh.”

The members laughed, but with how grand their surroundings were, the laughter wasn’t quite as explosive as it normally was. You got to the reception, where you were given your keys - and told that you and Wonwoo would be sharing a room.

“That’s gotta be a mistake,” you said, stunned, and looked at the details on the screen. The receptionist smiled politely.

“As you can see, it is not,” they said and showed the computer screen to you and the others. Wonwoo nodded slowly while you continued staring at the screen in disbelief.

“Well… it should be fine, right? It’s a twin room, anyway, and not a double,” he said calmly. Some of the other members were almost grinning at the situation, and you turned to face Wonwoo slowly.

“Are you sure? It won’t be weird or anything?” you asked unsurely and accepted your key from the receptionist with a quick “Thank you”, still looking at Wonwoo. He nodded.

“We’re friends, it shouldn’t be weird,” he said, and gave you a small smile. “Now come on and let’s let Seungkwan and Vernon get their key.”

“Those two should not be roomed together,” Joshua mumbled to himself, and you raised your eyebrow. He chuckled. “After Soonyoung and Seokmin, they’re the pair to get the most notifications about loud noise. It’s like they lose track of time.”

You nodded while laughing and looking at the two getting their key, who were glaring at Joshua. “We’re not that bad.”

“Y/N can be the judge of that, considering your room is next to ours,” Wonwoo said with a chuckle, and you grinned at Seungkwan and Vernon.

“You have a week to show that you’re not that bad,” you laughed, to which Seungkwan declared that the challenge had been accepted.

Little by little you began moving to your rooms, and Wonwoo let you into yours as well. The room, while simple, was also more sizeable than you had expected. Again, it wasn’t very big, but you had more room than you would’ve at a cheaper hotel.

“Your agency’s really overdone itself this time,” you said with a quiet chuckle as you got into the room and sat on one of the beds, pleasantly soft yet not too much so. Wonwoo shut the door and nodded with a small smile.

“I don’t think any of us were expecting this,” he admitted, and sat on the other bed. He sighed quietly. “I’m a bit tired.”

“I feel you,” you said and let out a yawn while looking at the clock on the wall. “It’s 10pm… you think we could sneak out of the group dinner and just grab something small from the store downstairs?”

Wonwoo grinned widely at your suggestion. “Leave it to me to talk us out of it.”

He left the room soon, and you lay down on the bed with your phone. Ten minutes or so later he returned, at first with a straight face, but it soon changed into a smile. “No group dinner for us, the manager was really understanding.”

“Yes!” you exclaimed in joy and got up from the bed in an instant, while Wonwoo laughed at you from the door. “So, snacks when they’ve left?”

And Wonwoo nodded.

When the others were leaving, Seungcheol still dropped by the door to make sure the two of you absolutely didn’t have the energy to come, and with how tired you were, it wasn’t a difficult task to show him just how awfully tired you were. So, the others left, and you and Wonwoo were free to go to the store downstairs to buy snacks and whatever nice you could find that would suppress your hunger enough.

And soon you were sitting on the bed Wonwoo had claimed, both dressed in your sleepwear and with a big bag of snacks and food between you.

“This was a great idea,” you said between bites of the bagel you had bought, and Wonwoo chuckled quietly while picking up another dried mango.

“It really was,” he said, his voice so soft that you couldn’t help but notice it. You moved your eyes from the food to him, and tilted your head a little, taking in how happy Wonwoo looked.

Then it hit you: during the time you had known Seventeen, you had not once been alone with Wonwoo the way you were now. And it was enjoyable, much more so than you could’ve imagined.

A small smile spread to your lips as you took another bite of your bagel.

You didn’t manage to finish all of the food, but neither of you minded: you just agreed that you could snack on it in the morning if you felt like it.

It was a bit after midnight that the two of you were finally getting your blankets over yourselves and reaching for the lights on the wall. Happy smiles played on both of your lips when you said “Good night” in unison.

The week-long vacation proved out to be a lot more eventful than you had expected. You joined Seventeen on their photoshoots, ate meals with them and had an amazing time with all of your friends, but there was something - someone - that made you feel just a bit more excited than anything else.

Jeon Wonwoo.

It was like sharing a room with him had made you see him in a new light or something, even though he hadn’t really done anything out of the ordinary. He had simply been himself - his friendly, sweet, attractive self - and that was enough to give your heart some extra beats and make your cheeks gain color more often than usual.

On the fourth day of the trip, you were walking along a market street in the evening, and Wonwoo joined you out of the blue.

“What’s up?” he asked, his voice as low and husky as it always was, and you gave him a smile.

“I’m thinking about what to buy for my family,” you replied and looked at the booths around you, filled with small accessories, food and whatever you could think of. Wonwoo hummed in understanding with a soft smile spreading to his lips.

“Souvenirs, huh,” he noted, and you nodded. When he wrapped his arm around you, you couldn’t help but yelp - and blush when Wonwoo laughed. “Sorry.”

“It’s fine,” you said quickly and tried to tell your heart to just beat a little slower, which it naturally did not do. Instead, it continued the rapid hammering inside of your chest for a good while, and Wonwoo pulling you closer to himself didn’t really help it.

Eventually you managed to finally find something to your family, and it seemed like most of the others did, too. Or so you easily concluded from Seungkwan excitedly saying “I’m sure mom will like this,” and Mingyu running to you from a store, holding a small bag while yelling “Guys! I finally found something for my sister!”

You had dinner, and towards the end of the evening you and Wonwoo retreated to your room like you did every evening. You let out a sigh as you put your things down and got on the bed, lying down immediately - you were exhausted.

Wonwoo chuckled. “Are you not used to that much walking?”

You clicked your tongue and propped yourself up on your elbows. “Not so much the walking, but the fact that it’s almost 11pm and we left the hotel at 9 in the morning.”

“True,” he hummed and put his bags down, only keeping one on his lap as he dug through it. You lay down again and let out a long yawn. When he had found what he had been looking for, Wonwoo smiled to himself and stood up, moving to sit on the edge of your bed.

Your breath nearly hitched in your throat when Wonwoo reached for your hand and placed something on it. “I thought you’d like this.”

You sat up, and before looking at what was on your hand, you took a good look at Wonwoo, who was almost avoiding your gaze and whose cheeks were noticeably more colored than they were when you had gotten into the room, and you were certain it wasn’t just the fatigue.

When you looked at your palm, you were met with a beautiful, simple silver-colored bracelet. Your heart felt warm at the small heart-shaped details on it that you couldn’t see unless you got it really close to your eye. “You really didn’t have to.”

Wonwoo shook his head. “But I wanted to. I wanted to get you something nice, so I did.”

“Thank you,” you said softly and moved to sit next to Wonwoo on the edge of your bed, smiling. “I really like it. I’m sorry that I don’t have anything for you.”

“It’s fine,” he said with a soft chuckle. “I didn’t buy you that expecting to get anything in exchange, so don’t worry.”

You nodded slowly and leaned your head against Wonwoo’s shoulder. He hummed questioningly.

“Why do you have to be so nice?” you asked in a whisper, and Wonwoo chuckled as he leaned his head against yours.

“What do you mean?” he asked amusedly. You sighed.

“You’re just… I don’t even know how to describe it,” you said with a pout, and slowly lifted your face. Wonwoo looked down at you as well as he could from the odd angle before laughing and pulling a bit further away. You stared into his eyes, your heart fluttering because of the intense, deep gaze in them. “You have me weak.”

Wonwoo was silent for a while. He let your words sink in one by one, and eventually he gave you a warm smile while his hand found yours to hold. “I could say the same. For some reason you give me this fuzzy feeling even when you’ve just gotten out of bed with your hair pointing in all directions.”

You snorted at his comment, despite the rapid beating of your heart. “You make me feel that way even when you’ve got your hair up with a hair band and a face mask covering your face.”

He laughed and squeezed your hand. “You beat me.”

Another short moment of silence fell over you, and at the end of it you got yourself under Wonwoo’s right arm so that you could hug him while sitting next to him, and he wrapped his arm around you.

“So it’s okay if I kinda… think I might be falling for you? Like, it’s okay to say it?” you asked bluntly, your voice a bit shaky, and listened to Wonwoo’s heartbeat. It was amazing how it was about as quick as yours was.

Without giving it much thought, Wonwoo gave you a small peck on the top of your head. “It’s definitely okay, and I hope it’s okay for me to say that, too.”

You were about to answer him, and okay, maybe you were also about to give him a quick peck on his cheek, but either way, you were interrupted by a loud noise from the room next to yours, which effectively killed the mood.

“…I think I won the bet,” you said with a giggle, and Wonwoo nodded with an amused smile on his lips, too, while the noise kept going on. Seungkwan and Vernon were playing music that they sang loudly on top of, and by the sounds of it, they were probably also dancing, and definitely not in one place.

“You also lost one.” You looked at Wonwoo with a dumbfound expression, and he grinned so that his nose crinkled - your heart skipped a beat. “Remember a few years ago when you and Seungcheol had the debate on whether you’d be able to be friends with us for five years without falling for any of us, and you said you’d be able to go on for ten years without that? Well, look at you now.”

You blushed and pursed your lips. “…If we ever become, you know, more, do you think we could keep this lowkey for, let’s say, seven years?”

Wonwoo snorted. “No chance.”

#LoveLetterstoLiteraryCharacters

So I wrote this for @_fullybooked ‘s Valentine’s contest where we have to write a love letter to a fictional character. (They’re giving away a book set and steak. Yup you heard me. Steak. And dinner for two whoop! hahaha)

I wasn’t able to post the whole version since Instagram has a word limit so I thought I’d share it here. lol don’t laugh, okay? I’m in love with this guy. <3 This is my letter to Will Herondale from @cassandraclare‘s Infernal Devices series. The photo edit was taken from @the-manila-institute

Dearest William,

It is a bit odd writing this letter to you. I’ve been wanting to for a long time but people would think me insane to be addressing someone who, quite frankly does not really exist in the real world. A fictional character—a mere creation of the human mind. But seeing that there is an opportunity where I will not be judged if I do, I have gladly taken it; overjoyed to finally be able to say to you what I’ve wanted to say the very moment I turned to the very last page.

William. Did you know you wore the name so well? In French it means: “determined protector”; the epitome of who you are as I’ve read from the Infernal Devices series. I was in high school when I met you, and had the honor of being by your side as I read through your adventures with Tessa, Jem, and the other Shadowhunters. Every fight, every war left me in awe as you fought them with such skill. (And you knew that very well too.)

My first impression of you: you’re going to be someone I won’t like but would end up liking in the end anyway. You were rude, arrogant, reckless, excessively cocky, and did I mention rude? Yes, I believe so. In retrospect, you were everything I didn’t like—except maybe the fact that you were an incredibly gorgeous human being with deep blue eyes, that even you yourself are in love with. I liked Jem more in all honesty and would probably get along with him better than I would with you.

But as I got deeper into the story, I learned there’s more to you, Will. Behind the sarcasm and rude disposition was a caring young man who would risk everything for the people he loves. I discovered your past and suddenly…everything changed. Or maybe I’ve known it all along but didn’t let myself see it.

I couldn’t pinpoint the exact time—or page—I fell in love with you. But know that I did. I really did and it was like a lullaby; a slow journey. I guess it started when you expressed your devotion for the written text. Your love for books was wonderful and I guess I saw myself in you and related a lot to your thoughts.

Your words spoke to me, touched my heart. And for the first time, I saw someone as my other half. Perhaps we were twins in another life for we think very much alike.

“It was books that made me feel that perhaps I was not completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them.” - Will

Your words continue to haunt me to this day—your words of love, your witty remarks, and even the snarky and sarcastic ones that make me want to hurl a chair at you. Being a writer, I breathe and live words and you are the first person (I don’t care if you’re not real) who understood what it’s like to be that way. Maybe you are just a fictional character, but I believe Cassandra Clare has shaped you in the image of real people, so you must exist somewhere. I hope I find someone who would want to listen to me talk about books and my stories “until their ears fell off”. I hope I find someone half as passionate as you are; who is incredibly strong but felt too deeply it leaves me breathless…

Someone who can easily express himself in words so beautifully; and would say these words to me the way you did to Tessa:

“Life is a book, and there are a thousand pages I have not yet read. I would read them together with you, as many as I can, before I die—“

You’re simply wonderful Will, and it breaks my heart a little knowing I can only be with you through the pages of a book. But just so you know, I would gladly read it over and over again just to have the privilege of being able to witness the beauty of your mind and heart—your very soul.

I love you, most ardently. And dare I say if I were a book, you’d be the words; every page strewn with thoughts of you.

Loving you always (from outside the pages),

Kaye Allen

“You know love, you look rather ravishing this early morning,” Sirius said with a smirk as he sat beside you in the Great Hall. “Go away Black,” you sighed, turning away from the black haired boy.

“Don’t be like that baby girl! I’m just telling you the truth! Don’t you want someone telling you that you look beautiful?” Sirius faked hurt.

“I do want someone to tell me I look beautiful. I don’t want you,” you told him as you pushed your food away from you.

The smirk on his face is unmistakable, “Oh, you don’t want me? I think you’re lying.”

“Why would you think I’m lying?”

“Because I’m irresistible,” Sirius said smugly.

“You’re so up yourself. Just leave me alone,” you said as you stood up. As you began to walk off, you heard Sirius say, “Just you wait, baby girl. You’ll realise how much you want me.”

“That’s likely,” you muttered as you walked out.

***

“Hey L/n!”

You rolled your eyes and groaned, tucking your textbooks under your arm, “What do you want now Black?”

“Same as before. I want you,” he said, reaching over to push a lock of your hair out of your face. You pulled away from him and narrowed your eyes, “Look, Black. I’ve told you before, and I’ll tell you again. I’m not interested in you. I’m not interested in being your toy of the day, or the week if I’m ‘lucky’. I don’t want to sleep with you! Why can’t you accept that?!”

“Hey now,” Sirius faked shock and hurt, “I don’t just want to sleep with you. I want a relationship with you.”

You scoffed, “Oh yeah? I’ll believe that when Lily Evans agrees to date James bloody Potter. And, considering how things are going with them, that’s never. Why don’t you just go back to Marlene McKinnon or something? Weren’t you fucking her last week? You’re all she can talk about anyways.”

Your voice sounded bitter though you didn’t mean it to.

“I don’t want to be with McKinnon! I want to be with you. Yes, I’ve slept with her. I’ve slept with a lot of people, and I know you know it. There’s no point denying it. But don’t judge me based on what I’ve done,” Sirius said.

“Considering that I’ve literally watched nearly every girl in our entire year, the year below and the year above crying over how you played them, I’m gonna have to go with the likelihood that if I were to go out with you, I’d be the next girl crying in the toilet cubicles,” you moved your textbooks under the other arm.

Sirius was silent, and you rolled your eyes again, “Look, if you have nothing else to say then we’re done here. Just accept the fact that I don’t want you. I never have, and I never will.”

You turned around and began to walk off, though before you got too far away, you could have sworn you heard him say, “I’ll win you over, just you wait L/n.”

***

“Come on Evans, just say yes to him! It’s just one date. I know he’s a dork, but you know he means well,” Sirius pleaded with the redhead.

“You just want Y/n to go out with you,” Lily accused, frowning at the taller boy. “Well, yes. But Prongs deserves a date too. Why can’t you do it? For me?” Sirius pouted, but Lily just raised an eyebrow.

“I’m not saying yes to James just so you can break Y/n’s heart. Go find a new hobby,” she said, “But if you really want to be with her that badly, why don’t you just prove it to her? Stop sleeping around, and flirting with other girls. Make her realise you’re serious - excuse the pun - about her. Now, I’ve got to go, hun. I’m late for class. But good luck!”

Sirius cursed to himself, leaning against a wall. All he wanted was a chance with you, but you wouldn’t give him it. He could see why, but he hated it nonetheless.

He watched as you walked past him on your way to class, admiring how beautiful you looked. You may have been wearing the same robes as everyone else in the school, but to him, you somehow made them look… better.

Maybe Lily was right. He’d have to prove to you that he wanted to be with you.

“Hey Sirius, want to skip class and…” Marlene smirked suggestively, appearing at his side as she stroked up Sirius’ bicep slowly.

Sirius closed his eyes and pushed her away, “Not now, McKinnon.” As he walked away, his eyes still trained on your retreating form, Marlene frowned.

Sirius never said no to being with a girl.

***

“He’s acting strange, I’m telling you,” Marlene said as she reapplied her lipstick, “I keep offering myself to him and he keeps denying me! He never used to do that! I don’t know what’s gotten into him.” Lily acted like she had no idea why Sirius had been acted the way he was, but secretly smiled to herself. He was listening to her advice for the first time ever.

“Maybe he just doesn’t want to sleep around anymore,” Lily said, making Marlene sigh. “I never thought the day would come.”

You sat beside the Black Lake, enjoying the summer breeze as you sat reading a book you took from the library earlier.

It was a perfect afternoon, and you were enjoying the peace and quiet until your reading was disrupted by a voice.

“Y/n, babe,” James said as he sat down beside you. You looked up at the messy haired boy, raising an eyebrow, “What’s up Potter?”

“Nothing! Can’t a guy sit with one of his best friends on a nice afternoon and not want anything?” James said in fake shock.

“You’re right, they can. But not when the guy in question’s best friend has been almost stalking me for weeks now,” you said as you marked the page of your book and closed it.

“I wouldn’t call it stalking as such,” James said with a smile. “What would you call it then?” He paused for a moment, “Okay, no, you’re right. He has been stalking you a little. But only because he’s crazy about you. You’re the only thing he’s been taking about for weeks now.”

You almost blushed at the new information, your heart starting to beat faster, though you’d never admit that aloud. “What’s he been saying?”

“Just how much he loves you. And that he wants to be with you. And some other sickeningly lovey stuff that I’d only repeat if it were to my Lily. The point is, he’s head over heels for you babe,” James said as he leant back to lay across the grass.

You didn’t say anything, trying to hide the small smile that was making its way across your face.

“Why doesn’t he just say that to me?” You asked, laying down next to James. He shrugged, “He’s not good at feelings.”

“Do me a favour and convince him to tell me his feelings? I want to hear it from him,” you said as you reached over to grab your book again.

“Will do, babe.”

***

“Come on, Padfoot! She told me herself, she wants you to tell her how you feel! Women love words! So tell her for Merlin’s sake!” James said to Sirius as they walked out of the Great Hall.

“I wouldn’t know where to begin. How am I supposed to put into words how much I love her, and how much I hate it when she’s not around?” Sirius asked in despair.

“Actually, I think you just did,” James said with a grin as he saw you rounding the corner at that particular moment. He slapped Sirius on the back as he began to walk away.

“Did you hear that?” Sirius asked you, wincing a little. “Maybe,” you said, tucking your hair behind your ear, “But just in case I heard it wrong, maybe you should say it again. But this time to my face.”

“I erm… I… I don’t… I mean… Damn it! Why is this so hard to say?! Why can’t I just tell you how bad I want you?! And not like a ‘I want you in my bed’ want you, but like… Merlin, Y/n, I just want to be with you! I want to be able to kiss you whenever I want, I want to be able to hold you, touch you, make other guys know that you’re mine! Because whether you know it or not, you are mine! And I’m going to keep on asking you out, because I’m not going to give up on you, on us! You belong with me, in my arms!” He grabbed your hips and pulled your body against his as he slowly walked you backwards. You felt the wall behind you, and all you could focus on was the love and lust clouding Sirius’ eyes.

“Please Y/n. Just give me a chance!” He pleaded quietly.

“You know, that’s the first real thing you’ve said to me,” you said with a small smile, “Without all the flirting and all the other charm crap.”

Sirius grinned, “So you’ll give me chance?”

He looked at you hopefully, and you pretended to think for a minute, before smiling back, “One chance. If you blow it, it’s not my fault.”

“One chance is all I need, baby girl.”
