So I get called up to the cash desk because there’s a huge line. It’s Saturday, that’s not unusual.
But the first person I go to help has two giant bags of towels to return. Also, no big deal.
But she just bought them 10 minutes before hand. And then decided to return them because she “went crazy and spent too much”. So she returns, off of two different receipts, about 4 towels ranging in price between $2-$8.
Then she wants to leave her two bags of towels at my till to go shopping and I’m like you’re welcome to however the risk is yours, we are not responsible if they get stolen. So she takes them with her.
Then she finds me about 15 minutes later so she can re-buy the towels she just returned and she wanted to know where I put them. I put them in our returns carts and someone had it somewhere in the store putting away all the returns so I’m like look for a girl with a scarf on and you’ll find them. Or maybe they’re back on the clearance table. I don’t know where they ended, someone could have bought them already at those prices. But she finds them.
What a waste of time.
If you’re not sure take a few minutes and add it up and think about it before going through the tills with the same items three times in half an hour.
