Red, brown, black or “gold”?

“I got an awful bad feelin’ about this…”

“Whatever it is Mister McCree, Orisa will protect us.”

a quick halloween terrifiant au picture to de-stress

For you, My prince..

The life I truly needed,
I found solely by your side.
My expectations you’ve exceeded.
Giving me one hell of a ride.

My prince what a man you’ll become,
This much I can assure.
So with my departure, you ought not be glum,
For you’ll be perfectly fine, I’m sure.

Your future shines bright within your grasp.
Embrace it all and hold it tight.
For whichever path you choose to clasp,
I promise you, my prince that I’ll be the light.

Your radiance is comparable to the sun,
My guiding light that keeps me warm.
Whatever you ask of me will be done,
With me by your side you shall receive no harm.

Serving you was my purpose,
The very reason of my existence.
I dedicate to you my every pulse,
As my loyalty shan’t be bound by distance.

I once was a lost soul,
But with your call I was made whole..

For @nisaki-chan‘s week long Agni Tribute.. RIP you precious being :’(

Thoughts on Revan, the Jedi-turned-Sith-turned-gray-Jedi?

(gray jedi are not a thing and Revan was not one.)

Revan is…I have a lot of opinions on Revan at different points in their life. If the KotOR series is a mirror to the films, then Revan is a stand in for Anakin in a different time and place. Insanely strong with the Force, a paragon of heroism who fell to darkness and wore an obscuring mask and armor that would become so integral to their legacy that it cannot be removed, much like how Vader is synonymous with his breath and skull like mask. Revan is like a Sun in the skein of fate, and when they fall, everything in their galaxy shakes as a result. Again, much like how Anakin’s fall turned the galaxy to a period of darkness, Revan brought about era of war that brought everything out of balance and even for all their strength, it would take more than their own will to set it all right again. It would take Luke’s parallel in the KotOR series, the Exile, to see that quest fully done.

But it’s a mistake to look at Revan as only a force of nature. They were human, and they did terrible things, and no matter how righteous their intention, evil was done on their command. Even before they publically turned Sith, they utilized torture of the mind, warcrimes on a massive scale, and spent the lives under their command not with the intent of restoring peace to the Galaxy but to grant themselves more power. Malachor was orchestrated intentionally to purge his army of Jedi and soldiers loyal to the Order and Republic. Sacrificed so nothing would stand in their way when they left to build the foundation of their Sith Empire.

They were trapped in darkness of their own making. It took them losing their memory and going on a quest of rediscovery to find themselves again to witness what their actions had wrought. When the truth inevitably came out, they had a choice to make. Some still question the validity of that choice, for hadn’t their memories been taken from them? Were they still really Revan or just the new personality programmed into them?

In the end, my belief in the importance of choice leads me to decide on the former. Revan’s choice was ultimately not one made with loyalty to either the Dark or Light, for there are powers beyond that of the Force in that far away galaxy. “I believe in the power of redemption” they said at the end of their initial journey.” For one so marked by the Force and destiny, that was a powerful thing to declare. That betterment and absolution was a greater power than the source of all their might. I like to think of that moment as Revan as their truest self in that moment, their apex not as Jedi Crusader or Sith Lord, but prodigal knight, trying to be their better self.

luke is actually becoming so much more confident like can u imagine next time they tour??????? stage!luke will be evolved into a creature that shows no mercy no one is safe stay woke ‘n get ur wands at the ready bc there’s a new dark lord in town

Hi! I absolutely love your headcanons and I was wondering if you could do a reaction for Genji, Sombra, Widow and Mercy canon for when they find their kid creeping back into the house after a sneak-out. (You don't have to do all four!!)

~My max is five so doing all four is fine! This one was really fun.

  • Genji didn’t notice them sneaking out. His kid knows his father is a ninja so to beat a ninja, you must become a ninja. They put so much time and effort into sneaking out of the house that it’s almost admirable. Almost.
  • Shortly after they leave, Genji wakes up because he can sense something is wrong.
  • It becomes That Awkward Moment when he catches the kid trying to sneak back in through the window.
  • They’re both completely silent for the longest second before he starts yelling in Japanese.
  • “You’re grounded…for…‘till college.”

  • Sombra sleeps like the dead so sneaking out isn’t hard. Getting back in is the hard part.
  • Her sleeping schedule is sporadic so the kid doesn’t know what time she’ll be up. They just have to leave and be back as soon as possible.
  • Sombra wakes up in the middle of the night and starts working before she notices that it’s too quiet in the house.
  • Once she realizes your gone, she double locks all the doors and windows except the back door and sits in the kitchen waiting for you to come in. Expect the dramatic ‘single light turning on’ moment.
  • She’s taking all of the electronics. You’re living an amish life until she ungrounds you.

  • The minute the kid left the house, her eyes snapped open. Her ‘my child is being a little shit’ senses were tingling.
  • She’s up waiting until they get back.
  • When she hears the car rolling up, she goes outside and is waiting on the front porch for them. The kid’s friends wonders if they should just drive away. The kid knows their mother. She’ll find them. They should just face the music.
  • Everyone is in trouble. The kid’s in trouble. Their friend is in trouble.
  • She’s more upset with herself for not noticing sooner. Her scolding is mostly her telling them that if they’re going to sneak out they need to get better at it. She also mentions that they could have just asked. She probably would have said yes. Now they must suffer the consequences.
  • They’re so grounded, coffee would look at them and go ‘Damn!’

  • More of the ‘I’m very disappointed in you.” type of parent.
  • She woke up in the middle of the night and they were just gone. “Beds Empty, No Note, Car gone. You could have died!”
  • She’s probably the most angry when they get back because she was so worried. In the span of 2 minutes, she thought through 101 ways they could have been dead in a ditch somewhere.
  • Honestly, it’ll probably be their first and last time sneaking out because Mercy looked so devastated that they didn’t trust her enough to tell her.
  • They’re grounded and honestly, her anger and disappointment probably hurts more than anything.

Sometimes I think about how Bernie wasn't loyal to a party and only ran Democrat for a chance at winning despite being ~*morally*~ opposed to the DNC, and then I think about what a political move that was, based in calculation and not belief, and then I feel disgusted, and then relieved, because bigbaby scorpio died in 2007 RIP and I have nothing to worry about

i know, my life has become so much simpler knowing burden shambles has been six feet under since 2007

things i love about star wars

-i love seeing “a long time ago in a galaxy far far away…..” every time i watch a sw movie because its basically a different version of “once upon a time in a far away land….”

-i love the skywalker family so much

-i love the prequel trilogy, original trilogy, the clone wars, rebels, and the sequel trilogy so much

-i love all the strong and amazing women of star wars

-the music: enough said

-i love star wars’s messages about hope and kindness and that good will always win and prevail. how anyone, even someone who thinks they’re worth nothing can become the savior of the galaxy

you're a 911 operator? woah. what is it like?

It’s awesome, it’s the first job I don’t like dread going to, the shifts are just really long (12 hours), it can be challenging sometimes and some calls are really sad and hard to deal with, but it definitely makes you feel like you’re making a difference even though most people don’t realize how important dispatchers actually are. Also you spend so much time with your coworkers you become like a family and the dispatcher community nationwide is so great because even when youre from opposite ends of the country you can relate and whatever, I like my job a lot ok😭

Appmon #29 Quick Review

As far as the story goes, there is no plot advancement here. There isn’t even a malicious app causing trouble for an easy action sequence. Despite the feel-good nature of the story, there isn’t even character development. Whether or not Haru doting on Offmon becomes a recurring thing, it isn’t resolved so much as it establishes that Gatchmon chose a poor way to try fixing it. The story we’re presented with is cute, emphasizes a type of character interaction we don’t see often enough in Digimon, and manages to show how the Appdrivers care without rewarding Gatchmon’s behavior. But it’s more filler in a series that’s already had far too much of it, coming at a place in the story when things should be ramping up.

Turning the obsession with Offmon into an actual plot point is clever. He’s been the center of attention since his arrival. We see Haru and Eri holding Offmon, trying to earn his trust and tolerating his skittish reactions, so what’s Gatchmon’s reaction to this? Well, remember how Mimi and Hikari responded to Takeru fawning over Meiko? Gatchmon goes past that, from annoyed to furious when Haru gets angry at him for not sharing his treats (when we say “angry” in regards to Haru, we mean mildly disappointed). So we get to burn an episode following Gatchmon, and later Dokamon and Musimon who join him for terrible reasons.

Having Dokamon and Musimon along for the ride holds the episode together. Their excuses (Dokamon’s trying to manipulate Eri’s emotions and Musimon’s there for the lolz) water down Gatchmon’s reasoning. It also gives us a cute little adventure with just the mons and none of the kids! That’s a rare treat! It’s a glimpse into the cool little dynamic the three of them have, with Gatchmon as the team leader, Dokamon as the eager follower, and Musimon as the reckless youth. They feel like three brothers and we’re happy to see them isolated in their own story, pointless as it was.

Even without rogue Appmon illustrating our over-reliance on technology, the story weaves in how the internet affects our lives for better or for worse. Watson tweeting out a blurry picture of Gatchmon puts a target on their backs and alerts Astra to their whereabouts. Gatchmon helps Souta find his way home by turning the vague recollections of a preschooler into viable search results. Later he consults a community Q&A site for advice on his predicament with Haru. It doesn’t make the episode any more useful, but it’s important to note the commitment to one of the show’s central themes.

The obvious parallels between Souta and Gatchmon are obvious, and the ending can’t decide whether it wants to reinforce this or avoid the cliches that would go with that. Rather than Eri smothering Dokamon like he wants, she gives him a proper punch in the face for worrying her. Astra and Musimon treat the whole thing like a joke. Offmon’s apologies would sound like one giant “sorry not sorry” coming from anyone other than Offmon, and Gatchmon isn’t amused that the source of all the trouble doesn’t have to learn a lesson. Even he recognizes that this one added up to a whole lot of nothing.

post-reveal cuddly Adrinette again ya wont stahp me...~

..and also post-reveal idea that Marinette wont be late at school alone anymore if Adrien decides to stay overnight (secretly for someone else ofc), pff

god dammit, Nathalie will go mad

I think the worst thing that fandom culture and the increasing acknowledgement of fandom culture from creators has wrought is this

incredible amount of entitlement that people in said fandoms get like

just because creators know something is a thing in a fandom doesn’t mean they have to do it or else they hate their fans. It’s a consistent thing I’m seeing more and more in fandoms and it’s getting worse. Like all the steven universe garbage that’s happened over that show’s run and now overwatch like

people are wishing other people dead because a robot ninja and an angel woman are dating. and there are people who are legit horrified at the sheer concept of characters being straight and I’m just sat here wondering how they can possibly tolerate real life.

the fact that people get so entrenched in what they perceive as author approval when their ships and headcanons aren’t immediately shut down, despite said author interacting with the fanbase, that their mental health deteriorates when something contradictory is even hinted at is just sickening like

I just went on twitter and saw people legitimately wanting to kill a man on the overwatch team because of gency and like

its. not. yours.

you do not own overwatch. you do not own steven universe. you do not own anything you’re fandoming so hard over. rebecca sugar could tomorrow have pearl confess her love to renaldo and the overwatch team could make torbjornXpharah and both of them would be canon because it’s THEIR CREATION AND THEY DECIDE WHAT HAPPENS.

THEY get to decide what to do with it. Not you. It is NOT YOURS.

I absolutely think fandom/tumblr culture has led to more death threats and harassment than any other thing on the internet and I think if creators want to avoid it, the best way is to just stop acknowledging the fandoms. Because they’ll twist whatever they can get their filthy hands on so they can shit on other people and never feel remorse or grow as people because they’re doing it to be “progressive”
