She carries her own little universe within herself, every single content paints her life story and reminds her that she’s a piece of it,

the stars remind her of never giving up, of always seeing the good in bad and even when you’re at your worst you should just keep shining,

the clouds remind her of how important it is to travel, to see the beauty of this world and to breathe a different air and to get lost in a foreign city,

the hurricanes remind her of the past, of the fact that it may hurt, but accepting all that pain makes you stronger and wiser, everything can change in a minute and we have no control on anything,

the sunsets and sunrises remind her of how beautiful it is to continue doing your thing, even when nobody notices you, because it doesn’t mean that you suck, at the end of the day, you should do things for yourself first,

the rain reminds her of the fact that letting emotions out is always good to do, because in order to grow and to bloom you have to cry at first,

the air reminds her of being kind to others, to always help them and show them that life is truly beautiful, you know you have lived when someone tells you “because of you, i never gave up.”

fire (jughead jones x reader)

pairing: jughead jones x reader

word count: 1139

request: Hiya! Love your blog! Maybe a jughead one where he is dating you but is more in love with Betty than he is with you. He tells you this and just a lot of angst. Thanks!!

warning: there’s a curse word in this, if anyone cares. also this is super depressing, yikes, sorry.

On that fateful day, there were three things you knew for certain.

The first, was that you were in love with Jughead Jones.

You really wish you could just say it was a stupid, teenage infatuation— a high school boyfriend that was nothing serious, but every time you looked at him you felt something that you couldn’t even place into words. Every time you saw his face in the hallways, pictures, down the street, in the distance, or up close— your heart would light up in some way. You remembered that looking at him when you first met felt like your heart was full of Christmas lights. You remembered very clearly, the feeling of sitting across from him at Pop’s, each of you doing your own thing, but sometimes you would look up at him and notice how beautiful he looked when he was concentrating: blue eyes reflecting computer screen colors, biting his soft lip harshly. Even worse, when he looked up at you and smiled.

You couldn’t help it: he was your first everything. Your first kiss, your first boyfriend, first everything. Sure, he was not the first person to call you beautiful, but he was the first person who made you believe it. He would often find you sitting on the roof of his tiny room at the drive-in, crying. You would always say it was because of the movie, but he would always know when it wasn’t. He would bring his hand up to your face, the pad of his thumb wiping a stray tear away. He gave you such a fierce look of sincerity in his eyes when he said it, “You’re so beautiful,” it was impossible not to believe him.

The Signs When They Like Someone

NOTE: I cannot stress enough how important it is to take into account BOTH your Venus and sun, because they nature of those signs will influence whether or not you’re obvious in your flirting habits or not, so check them both

Aries: When an Aries likes you, they’ll be quite bold about it, they’ll flirt openly but in a way that will still make you wonder whether they’re like that with everybody, or just you. Normally they’ll excuses for physical contact, even if it’s so much as touching your arm when you say something. They’ll try to debate with you, to see what you’re really like and will be quite impressed if you win.

Taurus: When a Taurus likes you, you’ll it a lot in the eyes and the way they look at you. They’ll venture more out of their shell when they’re near you and will pay attention to your reactions to different things, they’ll try to make you laugh and will share their food with you, they’ll tell you about their aspirations and their goals. If you flirt with other people, don’t be surprised if Taurus gives that person a death stare.

Gemini: When a Gemini likes you, they’ll really make an effort to form a mental connection with you. They’ll tell you about their ever growing ideas and even ask for your opinion on them. They’ll try to pull you out of your comfort zone to see what you’re like when you’re out of your depth. Pay attention to the topics they talk about, when with someone they like, they’ll try to find a common interest or common ground for you’s to build a conversation on and encourage bonding.

Cancer: When a Cancer likes you, it really shows in their mannerisms. They’ll be incredibly polite and sweet without fault. They might seem shy and somewhat awkward when you’re talking to them, but only because they really don’t want to mess up, they don’t want anything to be miscommunicated between the two of you. Despite their soft demeanour, they will look out for you and protect you, whether you see it or not.

Leo: When a Leo likes you, they tend to be more charming than usual, they’ll compliment you on things you never even noticed about yourself, because these signs see all the beautiful things about others. Despite their seemingly unbreakable pride, your opinion on their ideas and such will impact them greatly and they’ll even try to do something to impress you alone rather than a group of people.

Virgo: When a Virgo likes you, you’ll see it in the type of questions they ask you. They won’t just ask you what you like, they’ll ask why you like it. They like to thoroughly know the person who’s messing with their formerly organised emotions which can normally lead to confusion, people often think that they just want to be close friends. They may appear more nervous around you and will be very careful with the words they choose.

Libra: When a Libra likes you, they’ll appear to admire you quite a lot, they like to give credit where it’s due and won’t be afraid to tell you when you’re looking good or even just good at something. Despite the fact that they’re the sign of fairness and justice, they’ll tend to put you on a pedestal. They’ll have an almost dreamy look in their eyes when looking at you and will listen intently to what you have to say.

Scorpio: When a Scorpio likes you, it can be hard to tell because they’re very good at keeping it under wraps. Generally, they’ll listen to you when you speak - like really listen. They’ll be the type to make incredibly dirty jokes and discreetly aim them at you, making you wonder if they’re serious or not. They’ll look at your lips quite a lot. If someone else tries flirting with you or vice versa, Scorpio can be blunt with that person and like Taurus, will give the death stare.

Sagittarius: When a Sagittarius likes you, they’ll pick your brain, they’ll want to know about your ideas and your own morale. They’ll share their own philosophies (depending on how close you are to them). They’ll encourage you to seize the day and even use this as an excuse to take you on a date that’s “not a date”. Although they’ll compliment you, they’ll have no problem making fun of you in a friendly way either, probably to get a reaction.

Capricorn: When a Capricorn likes you, you may notice that they’ll get nervous around you or quieter. They don’t want to mess up or embarrass themselves so they try to reduce flirty interactions but the closer you are to them, the more flirty jokes you’ll get from them. They’ll be very polite and gentle at first but will then make slightly dirty jokes around you and hope you know they’re directed at you. They’ll ask you questions even if they’re not interested in the topic, just to keep talking to you.

Aquarius: When an Aquarius likes you, they’ll try to challenge almost everything about you, they don’t fall for people much but when they do, they want to know what the other person is made of. They’ll be incredibly encouraging and motivating, even for the smallest things. They’ll pay attention to your little quirks and let you know how much they like them. They’ll really try to make you think.

Pisces: When a Pisces likes you, they’ll go out of their way to “conveniently bump into you”. They’ll make a lot of eye contact and communicate mostly through that. They’ll make almost and excuse to make physical contact. They’ll smirk at you from a distance but when face to face, won’t be as nonchalant. They may seem zoned out a lot of the time. They’ll ask you what’s wrong when they know and will guide you as best they can without coming across as patronising.

Let’s face it, we bookworms tend to put a lot of pressure on ourselves, when it comes to our reading, because we’re weird like that, but in a good way. And, the truth is that reading should always be fun. Guilt free. ALL THE FUN SO MUCH OF THE FUN BECAUSE WORDS ON PAGES *insert screech* You know what I’m talking about. So I thought that compiling a list of the reasons that bookworms feel guilty and why they should just stop would be a great idea

  1. Not reaching our Goodreads challenge/lowering our goal for the year

In the past few years, the Goodreads challenge has become a staple of measuring achievement when it comes to reading. It has become insanely popular and it’s honestly such a good tool to keep track of everything you’re reading. But it also adds an immense amount of pressure. I’ve been there. When December rolls around and you see that you’re to the Goodreads challenge what Pluto is to being a planet in the Solar System (a.k.a. not even close; also VIVA LA PLUTO because Pluto deserved better smh), the panic sets in. You’re left with two options: lowering your goal or not finishing the challenge. Both make you feel like crap. But honestly, life makes us feel like crap far too many times, thank you very much, so let’s not let reading add to the ever growing pile of crap, am I right?

There’s no reason to feel guilty. If you read one book that year, you’re still a bookworm and it’s still a HUGE achievement. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t reach your challenge. It’s just a stupid tracking tool on the internet, it’s not something to measure your worth as a reader or as a person. You’re still awesome, even if you read just a page. Even one page counts. We’re busy, school and work get in the way 99% of the times. Unexpected life events occur. Shit happens. It’s normal and it’s expected, because life is fun and all that jazz.

Also, may I suggest a great idea: set your goal to one book for the year. Boom! Pressure off. You’ll still be able to see what books you read, how many pages and all that jazz, with the bonus that you don’t feel like hyperventilating every time you open your Goodreads account

  2. Not finishing books (the dreaded DNF)

Let me tell you something right off the bat: life is too short to waste on books that you’re not enjoying. Yes, I know, if you’re like me, you die a little on the inside every time you are at that point where you want to scream at the book you’re reading: BUT WHY ARE YOU NOT GOOD WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME WHO DID I OFFEND IN A PREVIOUS LIFE FML FML. It’s a reality. But let’s face it: you’re not going to enjoy every single book you pick up. It’s just not written in the stars. Which is why it’s perfectly acceptable to just…stop reading it. Put it down. Hug a kitten. Contemplate the universe. Leave it be. Maybe pick it up at a later time, maybe not. But don’t feel guilty. You didn’t disappoint the book, yourself, the book gods or literature as a whole. It just wasn’t meant to be and you should never force yourself to read a book you’re not enjoying. In my case, every time I force myself to keep going with a book I’m not enjoying, I tent to end up in The-Thing-That-Should-Not-Be-Named a.k.a. the Book Slump™. Just…no.

  3. Not reading classics

80% of the classics I’ve read have bored me to tears. I mean. I want me some dragons, magic and lost princesses. There are no such things in most classics (a huge oversight on the part of the writers, but I’m not pointing fingers). I’ve stumbled upon some that I really enjoyed, but too few to really make me actively pursue reading classics. The trouble is that a lot of people cringe so badly when you tell them that you don’t read classics.

“So yeah, I don’t really read or like classics”
“OMG HOW DARE YOU I AM OFFENDED”
“Um, I just..don’t really enjoy them/relate to the stories/want to live while I’m reading them”
“BLASPHEMY. SACRILEGE. BEGONE HEATHEN. SHAAAAME”

Whenever people react like this, it puts me off reading classics even more, because I hate judgy people. But I digress. My point is, the amount of classics that you read or don’t read doesn’t indicate how “good” of a reader you are (fyi, there are no good or bad readers imo). It’s just indicative of the genres you enjoy reading. That is all. People who read classics aren’t THE BEST BOOKWORMS™. They’re just people. Like you.

  4. Rereading books

I will shout this from the rooftops: I LOVE REREADING BOOKS. It’s something so refreshing and comfortable to go back to a book universe you fell in love with. To revisit favourite characters and go on adventures with them again. I reread at least a few books every year. Last year, I actively tried to reread at least one book each month. It was so much fun!

Rereading books can get you out of The Slump™. Rereading books is an excellent alternative for when you can’t afford to buy new books because stupid life costs money booooo. Rereading can be so insightful, because you notice so many things you missed on your first (or second, or third or…you get my drift) read. Rereading can be a whole new experience years after reading that book for the first time. Rereading a certain book can be the best for you at a certain time, because everything is familiar and safe. Rereading is absolutely no reason to feel guilty – people usually say they’re wasting time when they’re rereading (um, no), missing out on new releases (they’ll still be there a week later when you finish rereading your favourite book thank you very much), they fear not liking it as much the second time around (fine, I’ll give you this, it’s a possibility, BUT I ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE). Long story short: reread more books 2k17.

  5. Neglecting books because life

We’re bookworms, yes. But we’re also People Who Need To Live and Function in Society. What does this mean? That we sometimes don’t have that much time to read (I know, it’s just so rude). Days may pass when we don’t read at all. Weeks. Sometimes months. Years? (all my college years were spent reading almost academic books exclusively; it was a dark time in my life). But that’s okay. There’s no reason to feel guilty for doing our best to live out lives. Doing that sometimes implies giving up certain things, because we simply don’t have the time or energy to do them. That doesn’t make us bad people or bad readers. Your books will still be waiting for you when you have the time to devote them your full attention. Books don’t judge.

Surprisingly or not, this is just part one. I have many feelings about this particular topic, because I really really want people to read books guilt free. And live the bookworm life to the fullest

I’d love to hear your thoughts on these points. And if there was ever a time you felt guilty for something book related

Happy reading, bookish people <3

The jesting voice of Sam starttles you making you look confused at your friend.

- I’m not sighing - you protest and he raises an eyebrow amused

Okay, maybe you do, a little bit, but in your defense how could you not? Recently you have achieved one of your life goals: have a fluffly, beautiful, adorable puppy. You have been discussing with the owner of the apartament you are ocuping for the lasts months and finally, after the promise that you will pay if the dog breaks something, he had conceed you to have a puppy, and you couldn’t be more in love with it. He is the most precious thing you have seen in your life and half of your thoughs are about him recently, you can’t wait to arrive home and play with him.

Plz do another jealous Jughead fic!

Sure, no problem! I made this as a sort of pre-1x06 Jughead kiss, but Jughead lives with Archie. So, it’s slightly AU I guess.

Jealous Jughead

Betty laughed again, throwing her whole body into it. Her blonde ponytail bobbed with every movement she made.

Jughead sighed, making himself look away.

Of course she still likes him, he thought.

Veronica noticed Jughead’s frown and gave him a small half smile.

Archie and Betty continued talking, causing Jughead’s frown to deepen.

Eventually, Veronica yawned, checked her phone, and slid out of the booth. “Smithers is outside, I have to go.” She said, throwing her purse over her shoulder. “See you tomorrow.” She smiled as she strolled away.

“We should probably settle our bills and go, too.” Jughead murmured.

Betty looked down at her watch. “Already?!” She cried, considering the time. “I can’t believe my mom hasn’t called me twenty times.”

They slid out of the booth, paid their bills, then walked out of the restaurant.

They walked down the street, heading toward Archie’s and Betty’s houses.

Jughead was deep in thought, walking a step behind them. If he was a stranger, they would look like a couple.

Betty laughed again, although Jughead didn’t hear the topic of conversation.

Betty glanced behind her, a look of concern crossing her face. “Why are you way back there, Juggie? Come talk to us.”

Jughead gave a half-hearted smile, but caught up to his friends.

He couldn’t help but wonder if Betty knew about Miss Grundy.

“…Right, Juggie?” Betty said.

They were coming up to Archie’s house.

“Sorry, what?” Jughead murmured apologetically.

“What’s with you tonight?” Archie laughed.

If only he knew.

“Well, I’ll see you two tomorrow.” Betty smiled as they stopped outside Archie’s driveway.

Archie nodded, turning towards his house. “You coming, Jughead?”

Jughead took a deep breath. “I’ve got to ask Betty something about The Blue and Gold. I’ll be up in a minute.”

Archie nodded again and walked towards his front door.

Jughead and Betty took a couple steps towards her house, veering off towards the lawn.

“What’s up, Juggie?” Betty asked sweetly.

They stopped in front of a large oak tree. Betty leaned up against the trunk.

“What is with you?” He said exasperatedly.

“What do you mean?” She asked, her eyebrows knitting together in confusion.

“I thought you didn’t like him anymore, Bets!”

“What? I-”

“I mean, you barely talked to me tonight, or Veronica for that matter, but you were talking to him non-stop and-”

“Jughead, you barely said two words tonight!”

“Okay, but, I thought you said you were over -”

“What does it matter if I’m over Archie or not?” She said quietly. “And who told you I liked him to begin with?”

“You were laughing at all his jokes, and, and -”

“Jughead what’s going on?” Betty smiled.

Jughead took a deep breath, then sighed. “He’s not good enough for you, Betty!”

“What do y-”

“He doesn’t notice that you curl your hands up when you laugh, Bets, or that when you write articles, you always check them twice. He doesn’t notice that you only use black pens when you jot down your ideas. He doesn’t notice that you drink coffee with a milk and two sugar, but when you have green tea you drink it plain. Or that at the movie theater, you don’t like to share your popcorn because you like to add Reese’s Pieces. He doesn’t notice that when you watch sad movies, you bite your lip before you cry.”

“Jughead,” Betty whispered.

“…He doesn’t notice because he doesn’t deserve you, Betty. You deserve someone who notices every little thing about you. You deserve -”

“-you,” Betty finished, cupping her hand around Jughead’s jaw, pulling him closer.

She pressed her lips gently against his, capturing his bottom lip between hers.

Betty kissed him slowly, passionately, and Jughead pinned her closer to the tree trunk.

Eventually, Betty pulled away for air.

“What was that for?” Jughead whispered.

“For noticing.”

You never really liked Valentine’s day too much. To you, it was pointless. Why would anyone ever need a special day to make someone feel loved, when you had more than 300 days to do it again and again.

But it was the middle of December when all that changed. You met Loki.
