Hi Amanda! What are some movies you recommend that one must see before they kick the bucket? I've gone through your blogspot but they're all very specific to themes like Halloween or Spring. Thank you very much! :)
oh gosh. I normally categorize film recommendations solely because taste varies so much from person to person. For the sake of your question, I’ll list a bunch of my all-time, never-get-tiresome, forever-favorites. However, I’m truly a tremendous cinephile, so this list won’t be short by any means, and I genuinely find each of these films to be fantastic and worth watching. I’m already fighting the urge to divide this list into categories and subcategories. The Dreamers, Only Lovers Left Alive, *ALL of Wes Anderson’s films (literally all of them)*, Eyes Wide Shut, Girl Interrupted, Nymphomaniac (volumes I & II), Lost in Translation, The Virgin Suicides, Her, American Graffiti, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Midnight in Paris, Mermaids, Interview with the Vampire, Pride & Prejudice (2005 adaption), That Thing You Do!, Stealing Beauty, Little Miss Sunshine, Empire Records, Heathers, Almost Famous, both film adaptions of Lolita, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the original National Lampoon’s Vacation, The entire Harry Potter franchise, The entire Lord of the Rings franchise, Sleeping Beauty (Julia Leigh’s 2011 film), Blue is the Warmest Color, The Man in the Moon, 2 Days in Paris, Closer, Palo Alto, Jane Eyre (2011 adaption), Zodiac, The Good Girl, Pretty Baby, Romeo + Juliet, Superbad, Nightcrawler, Marie Antoinette, Some Kind of Wonderful, Young Adult, The Witches of Eastwick, Harold & Kumar go to White Castle (I’m not kidding, I love this movie because of Kal Penn and Jon Cho. They’re great in it.)…I know I’m forgetting some films. I could probably do this all day. Wait! There are some documentaries. UGH. okay…Montage of Heck, Children Underground, Behind the Burly Q.
