because then i could actually draw them

anonymous asked:

Once upon a time you said in a response or picture comment that you imagined a foursome between all Dazzlings and Sunny and thst your gay heart could not take it. This came into my mind recently and I do wonder if your heart could take it now?

I can probably take it now lol I just gotta get a spark going before I actually make it because it needs to be good. There’s no artist that will casually draw all four of them as their main ship alllll the time, so I gotta contribute a fine piece of ass.

Am I still thinking about that one AU? Yes, definitely

Out of the guys, so far I think Yusuke would be the only one to actually treat Akira right in a relationship, but. If I were to be honest with myself, this is… my real p5 ship…….

I have more things I want to draw of them, so expect more of this trio in the future. :^);;;;

Dear #savebendy ,

theMeatly posted this comment 23 hours ago on DAGames’ video
“WHY AM I SO SCARED?! | BENDY CHAPTER 2 SONG EXPLANATION | DAGames“

I know this video and the comment aren’t directed at the #savebendy movement, but I still wanted to share it with you.
And I also don’t want to put any words in theMeatly’s mouth, I only want to show you and point out some things…

#savebendy spreads toxicity and hate. It suppresses people’s creativity and imagination. Exactly the opposite of what theMeatly wants, as you can see!

I follow him on Twitter as well and see him retweet art his fans have created …

  • That isn’t always canon!
  • Or just simply shitposts people made that are BATIM related.
  • Or Cosplays! AMAZING COSPLAYS!
  • Humanized versions of the characters!
  • Drawings made by younger people that aren’t that good yet! But we believe in them!
  • He retweets music videos and covers!
  • Heck, some of the art I saw him retweet could even be slightly shippy(AlicexBendy)

But of course I don’t want to say it actually IS ship art, in case the artists do not like that. Just because Alice and Bendy are portrayed in the same picture doesn’t make it ship art!
And I have yet to find art that includes OCs, but I doubt that theMeatly has anything against OCs based on his game!
    I DOUBT IT HARD!

None of that stuff is “cringy” as some following the #savebendy movement might say. All these people put effort into the things they make and they are passionate about it. They burn… they soar!

Okay, maybe not the shitposts. But everyone needs a laugh once in a while ;)

And with that, all I have left to say is:
Drown out the hate and…

there’s this girl

Title: there’s this girl
Fandom: miraculous ladybug
Rating: K+
Characters: Ladybug (Marinette), Queen Bee (Chloe)
Summary: Queen Bee has a secret. It’s not what Ladybug thinks.

“So there’s this girl.”

Ladybug cocked her head and stared at her friend with wide eyes, mouth falling open to say something, but the look on Queen Bee’s face stopped her in her tracks. Bottom lip caught between her teeth, gaze heavy on her hands clasped tightly in her lips, she looked hesitant and unsure, lacking the confidence and charisma that usually oozed from every pore. Ladybug didn’t know how to respond. It wasn’t every day that Queen Bee chose to open up to her or any of the other heroes of Paris; she held her secrets and identity tighter than any of them did.

“For my father,” she’d say when asked why and rarely said more. Ladybug wasn’t arguing—she did the same thing—but it was different to have someone so similar working beside her. While she enjoyed Volpina’s presence, and Chat Noir was her partner, Queen Bee was something entirely new and unexpected, but not unwanted. Ladybug had spent so long explaining why secret identities were important, and while everyone had accepted that long ago, Queen Bee was the only person who seemed to understood why.

“So there’s this girl,” Queen Bee had said, completely out-of-the-blue and sending Ladybug’s thoughts into a whirlwind, unprompted on an early Saturday after an akuma battle under the silver sunrise of the Paris morning. “And I don’t know what to do.”

RFA boys + V with MC being a teacher and all that comes with it. Like, for older kids a specialized knowledge about a certain subject and knowing teen stuff, and with little kids being up on all the latest "kid" things and always looking at (cont)

(Cont) toys and picture books and singing silly songs. And of course, the grading and lesson planning and kids who give problems and stress that comes on top of that. But she really really loves being a teacher and won’t give it up.

(Combined because of similarity!!)

A/N: These requests are so pure and I enjoy them so much but ive never seen how a teacher prepares for anything so i went based on what a few things teacher friends/my dad told me and how i interact with my siblings and stuff ;A; ~Admin 404

*YOOSUNG:

-The two of you act like such kids yourselves, but he absolutely loves it, you teach younger children and he can see how soft and sweet you are to them!

-He actually enjoys some of the cool kid gadgets you check out for your class

-That cool robo-dog toy? He wants one now

-ACTUALLY JEALOUS WHEN YOU GET IT FOR YOUR KIDS INSTEAD BUT PLAYS IT OFF LIKE IT’S NO BIG DEAL

-He’s actually sat in on a few classes of yours his butt actually fits in the little kid chairs

-The little tikes love him to death! They like to tease him about dating you

           - though they all think he’s a kid too just in a higher grade ;A;

-But sometimes kids can get rowdy, and he knows this

-When you come home stressed out, from kids misbehaving, he’s always there to lighten the mood! Tells you stories from when he was a kid, full of silly sound effects, and he’s even borrowed picture books from his mum to show you childhood pictures! It embarrasses him sometimes, but he knows that you enjoy the imaginations children have so it can’t hurt to tell you, right?

           - also lowkey shows up around snack time when he visits because he freaking loVES THE JUICE BOXES AND COOKIES MC CAN HE HAVE SOME TOO

*ZEN:

-He knows how difficult teaching can be, his parents were teachers

-SUPER. HYPED. When he found out that you’re a HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA TEACHER come on y'all i saw the chance so i took it

-You actually went to school!!!! For acting!!! That’s amazing! He’s a natural so he didn’t have to

-He tries to come to your class at least once a week to give the students some tips (since he’s in the field and semi-famous and all)

-IF YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE THAT YOU LEARN FROM YOUR FANCY-DANCY SCHOOL, HE’D LIKE TO HEAR IT MC

-He dropped out of school and had bad experience with teachers so he was actually really iffy about your job at first

-But the first time he watched you shine because of your passion for helping these teens, he knew you belonged in this career

-But when you come home from a long day of teens being….well….teens, he feels so bad

-He was a rebellious teen so he thinks he can help talk to them about listening and respecting everything you try to do for them he kept them for two class periods one day lecturing them about how much respect you deserve and the kids all literally cried and hugged you at the end of it jfc zen what did you sAY TO THEM

-Always there to wipe away your tears, whether they be of joy or sadness, when your class puts on plays. You’re proud of your students but he’s always 10x more proud of you because heY MC YOU DID THAT, LOOK

*JAEHEE:

-YOU’RE A HIGH SCHOOL LITERATURE TEACH MC? THATS DOPE COME TALK NERDY TO ME

-She thinks it’s so cool because!!!! The two of you can both really appreciate literature

-It’s like a personal little book club between the two of you, always talking about themes and deeper meanings

-Not to mention she lives for the drama you over hear in your classroom come on we all live for gossip every now and then dont judge me or jaehee and you can teach her all of the younger lingo which she uses to understand a few of the interns at work

-When you’ve been up for hours trying to grade papers, she’s always there to help with them

-Mainly because she wants to avoid you bashing your head against the table because they’re all writing the same things over and over again

-If she comes across something she’s unsure about in her readings you’re the first person she asks

-Love love loves helping you pick which books your students are going to analyze next

-Not to mention!!! You always have all the newest books in almost any genre because of your job and!!! She always has something new to read!!!!

-If your day was rough though, she’s got coffee at the ready for you, the two of you are going to sit down and just rant about anything and everything that happened because hey kids can be stupid, she’s not gonna tell on you for pointing out the obvious

*JUMIN:

-He finds it absolutely adorable when you come home covered in paint, glitter, marker, you name it

-Calls you his masterpiece what a sap

-Not used to being around kids but he visits your kids as often as possible

-HE’S SO CUTE WHEN HE’S HELPING THE KIDS FINGER PAINT OH MY GOD

           - they paint kitty whiskers on his face sometimes and you’ve never seen him smile bigger

-They once asked him to build a tower out of blocks with them and he took over the entire project, made a replica of the C&R building

-When the two of you are at home, though, he refuses to admit he enjoys it there with the kids. Complains about paint on his white shirt, why are kids to loud, they’re so energetic what the heck, etc etc

-Always buying cool new toys and craft things for your classroom- he knows how teachers are paid and he just wants to help out. For you. Not for the kids. its totally for the kids dont let him fool you

-He never really knows how to comfort you if you come home from a hard day with your class, so he usually sits with your head resting against him. He listens to you rant about everything that happened, running his hand through your hair to let you know he’s listening.

-Never ONCE has he asked you to quit your job. He thinks teachers are important and should be treasured, and he sees how happy the kids make you every day- he could never ask you to give that up but hey mc if you ever wants kids of your own, he’s got you, wink wonk

*SAEYOUNG:

-Teacher? lmao what’s that not everyone is a freaking genius saeyoung shUT UP

-MC CAN I COME BY SOME TIME AND LEARN I PROMISE I’LL BE A GOOD STUDENT saeyoung dont do that

-You were a high school computer science teacher, and hello MC i could be of service saeyoung pls

-He came in as a guest speaker one day and none of the students could keep up with what he was saying??? What’s all of this?? Mr. Choi can you please dumb down the lesson???

-By the end of class though, everyone (including him) were just drawing stupid pictures on MS paint sigh

-He’s actually really excited that you teach computers to teenagers!! Computers are great, MC!!! You can teach them to hack! no saeyoung thats not what i do, thats you

-Sometimes he’ll play dumb and ask you for help with his computer just to hear your teacher voice (it doesnt work often because you KNOW he knows what’s wrong)

-“MC, you can be the teacher and I’ll play the naughty student *eyebrow wiggle*” he walks in with a plaid skirt and knee high socks what a fucking doRK

-There are days that the kids just don’t listen and do whatever they want, and it frustrates you to no end. Some of them were wrestling and broke a monitor once, and you had to call Saeyoung, break down and cry on your lunch break. He’s always there at the end of the day with blanket forts and HBC to get you away from all electronics even for a little while

-The next day though, he hacks into all the computers in your classroom and scares the students into paying attention because what person doesn’t freak out when someone starts listing their personal information on their screen???

*V:

           -High school dance teacher?

-Are you his soulmate MC because it’s really feeling like it

-He’s a dancer himself! (though he doesnt practice it often)

-So he always offers to be your partner on days you’re teaching couple’s dances!

-He can tell how much effort and passion you put into helping these kids learn the art

-You absolutely radiate warmth and excitement if your class holds a recital

-HE’S ALWAYS THERE TO TAKE ACTION SHOTS OF YOU AND THE CLASS BECAUSE WOW MC

-But kids will be kids, which means sometimes there are attitudes thrown around

-Some days you feel as if you get no respect, and they do whatever they want to do, and it breaks not only your heart but your spirit as well and he will not stand for it

-He’s very good at lecturing, and seeming nice with a threatening undertone. So when he catches something like this happening, you can bet he’s in front of the class, pouring his heart out about how much respect you deserve for all of your hard work and they shape up real quick every time this happens. So he kisses you on the forehead and lets you keep teaching <3

*SAERAN:

-You work with little kids all day?

-Why would you wanna do that to yourself jfc

-You’re always looking at cute, kid crafts and he kind of wants to try them but he’ll never tell you that

-Very very afraid to visit your class because? He’s scary, he doesn’t want the little kids to be afraid of him

-But they WEREN’T. AT ALL. He could feel his heart melting at how much they actually liked him like holy crap MC i wanna come visit every day

-HE FINALLY GETS TO TRY THOSE LITTLE KID CRAFTS WITH NO SHAME, YES, SCORE

-The two of you are the power team at story time, everyone is completely enthralled with the story, voices, and how you act them out

-When you first told him that you were a teacher for little kids, it made complete sense to him. You’re so sweet and kind and patient and bubbly and it just cliCKED WOW MC YOU ARE A TEACHER

-But kids have tantrums, and short attention spans, and they’re very stubborn, so if you have a rough day, you actually have to calm him down instead saeran you cant threaten the children its okay im just tired ill be fine

-The two of you have naps on those rough days, he’ll rub your shoulders to help you relax, and he actually goes out of his way to look up things for your lesson plan the next day!

I had some free time, so I decided to use it doodling Spike! The full-body sketch is what I think he could look like when he starts hitting puberty; his proportions are a little strange, legs getting longer, and he (possibly) sprouts wings that he can’t actually use yet. As far as his wings go though, I actually headcanon him lacking them, but I’ll draw him with them every now and then because it’s fun. :3 The headshot sketch is how I see him as a young adult, primarily quadrupedal and finally beginning to fill out in his growing body. :3

I’m feeling a bit inspired ever since seeing the MLP season 7 trailers, so if time allows it I’ll be doing sketches of other characters soon! In the meantime I hope you guys like this one. ^.^

[21may17] 206/365: approx. 93o frames equal circa 2 min. and 5o sec.; the last sequence i was working on took quite some time and was fairly tedious but turned out pretty well. that one sequence that i had to redo i will have to redo once again i think, because it’s still bugging me a lot. though, to be honest, if i had time and energy and resources, i would redo every sequence as they all have some minor flaws that happen naturally because you can’t calculate everything that could turn out not exactly well beforehand. but those are small flaws and i can live with them. i’m actually still amazed that it’s still going so well. it’s been 37 days since i’ve started and i’ve already finished the first big chunk that would actually already work as a finished piece. but i’d like to go for the whole 4 and some minutes that i set out to do. (phone, laser printes, charcoal)

When it comes to fiction, the qualities the editor looks for are also those that they will look to improve throughout the editing process. This also applies to writers editing their own drafts. These qualities include:

  • voice (Do I want to spend the next several hours with the author? Do I trust them? Are they entertaining? What kind of narrative tone does the piece have?)
  • pace (After I finish one page, do I want to read the next? Does it flow well?)
  • character  (Do we like the characters; do we care about their fates? Do we have an emotional investment in whether they marry or divorce, revenge themselves on those who did them wrong?)
  • plot (Here we are looking for the story that draws us along because we want to know what happens next – and if what happens next surprises us, so much the better’)
  • style – but the quality of the writing style should not be allowed to distract the editor and reader from whether the text is a good story and
  • verisimilitude or plausibility (Can the author convince me this story could be true? Do I care if it’s actually true or not? Even if it’s a fictional world, does it have enough built up for the reader to believe it’s actually real?)

Why dont you make Pay??????

Eh… I don’t want to.

But for real. You got a seat and some snacks?

I love Pay. I really do. I’m a sucker for secret twin/sibling stuff. And @trashpandaballs did an amazing job when he created him. He’s complex and well rounded enough that a lot of people can relate to him in someway.

And being such a great fandom character, many use his character go over addictions, mental issues, and emotions in general. As well as play out humor, practice cute outfits, and think about sibling bonding.

But some of those reasons why he’s relatable is also why I’m hesitant to draw him. Mostly, I end up changing him from his original design.

You see, under all the sass and fun, Pay is a drug and alcohol addicted man, who suffers from depression, at least that’s what I’m perceiving. He also is a rent boy ( ?is that what it’s called?) so that he can make ends meat and is in some why hurt from tough dealings all the time.

And the Pay I draw, ends up being a depressed man that is seeking to get there life together, because they’re learning that they deserve to have a life and to experience happiness. And sometimes gets bruises because he knocks into furniture due to having long limbs.

I honestly don’t see Pay that way. Or at least the way he is portrayed. It doesn’t make very much sense to me. (I also doubt that Pat would ever let Pay get to that level of homelessness or starvation without doing something.)

Knowing who Pat is, the character that is, and how he acts, gives no indication of a rough up bringing. Most of the time, Pat is shown being a pretty good adult. So however Pat was brought up, Pay would have been brought up the same way. Though that’s not to say twins will be exactly the same if raised in the same environment.

Take me and my brothers for example. (not exactly twins but) We all have loving parents who taught us to be kind, generous, independent, and responsible. And yet being raised the same, taught the same, and loved the same. We could obviously not be any more different. But we have the same morals, mannerisms, humor, and some other base stuff.

So again, whatever Pat learned as a kid is what Pay would have learned too. Not to mention how loving and attentive Pat can be. If Pat were to act like my brothers or me, he would love and care for Pay through all has mental issues and help him wholeheartedly. And Pay would give the same care and love to Pat. Most siblings who have a healthy family bond, will stick together and take care of each other.

Communication is also a big thing between me and my siblings. I doubt that Pat would just drop all contact with Pay because of work. And even with the distance between them, Pat being in the Red Army, they would still find time to talk with each other. I think I should have some experience in this, especially with my brother being in the US Army now.

But yeah. To sum it all up. I just can’t think of why Pay would ever be that way. Or at least a drug addicted rentboy.

I can definitely see him being a recovering alcoholic who has depression and is finally seeking therapy for said depression. Men who are depressed tend to turn to alcohol to “get over it” Statistically, that makes the most sense to me. (especially since i know Pat would keep Pay from doing illegal substances) But with all this kinda going through my head for Pay, I hesitate to draw him because I respect for other people’s ocs and au’s.

I love trashpandaball’s idea and concept of Pay. And if I could, I would ask if it was okay for me to do that. But with Del gone rn, I have no concrete way of asking for permission to put out my headcannons of Pay like that. I’ll still draw them, but rarely. Mostly because I wouldn’t want it to seem like I’m trying to push my interpretation of Pay over Del’s.

Then again, Pay is just a hypothetical sibling made up by the fandom for a fictional character in a cartoon to give more content and entertain us while the actual show is at a standstill. So not much of this actually is serious, it’s all for fun.

achoicewithsomeregrets  asked:

So, I'm impressed with quite a lot about your writing, but one of the things I'm impressed with the most is how you do characters. The characters are just really /Real/ and alive and vivid. My characters are round and have flaws and motivations and everything that smart people say good characters need to have, but. They're still just not as /Real/ as yours. So if you have time, could you give some tips for developing characters? Thanks!

Dear protecterwinsmith,

Let’s say someone asked you to draw a person.

If you’d never drawn a person before or thought you didn’t have much time, you might do one of these guys:

Example A: stick dude. A stick dude is recognizable as a person because it follows the baseline, easiest rules of personhood. It’s got a head, a torso, a familiar arrangement of limbs. You don’t need more to get the concept of “person” across.

Now, if you had a bit of experience drawing people or thought you had more time, you might do something more like

Example B: Cartoon Dude. Cartoon Dude is even easier to recognize as a human. He follows the rules of personhood even more: he’s got facial features, ears, hair, clothing, shoes. You can tell one cartoon dude from another cartoon dude. You can populate an entire series with cartoon dudes and the storytelling would work, because they would effectively follow the baseline rules of human anatomy as well as being unique enough to tell apart.

Now let’s say you had a bit more time or you had some more experience drawing people and someone asked you to draw a human realistically. Depending on how much you’d done it, you might get

Example C: 3-D dude without reference. A 3-D dude drawn without reference is even more recognizable as human. He can hold all sorts of nuance in his expression because he follows the baseline rules of personhood even better than the previous two. More nuance means more empathy from the viewer, and more empathy usually means more emotional resonance.

And finally, let’s say someone asks you to draw a human but gives you an actual person to look at. In the same amount of time given, you might end up with

Example D: Portrait with reference. This guy (one of my brothers, in fact) follows the rules of personhood, their effectiveness limited only by my ability to capture them in the time given or by my level of experience. He’s recognizable as both a person and an individual because of the specificity of his facial features, and moreover, he is unlikely to look like any other person I would draw using this method because of my close adherence to his, you know, actual face.

If you think about this in terms of characters, you could build a novel with any one of these sorts of character.

Example A: A novel built with stick man characters would be incredibly stylized. Fairy tales are often stick figure characters. Instead of being fully-fleshed individuals, they’re types. This is the stick figure woodsman (we can tell it’s him, he’s drawn with an ax). This is the princess (we can tell it’s her, she’s got a crown and some long hair added to the stick figure). This is the knight (we can tell it’s him, he’s got a sword and a stick horse). People don’t actually look like stick figures, but as long as the characters are all stick figures, the narrative still works at some level, because it tells you the rules and follows them, even if they aren’t the rules of reality. The moment you draw one character as something more than a stick figure, though, the viewer suddenly realizes how the others are merely made of straight lines.

Example B: When I first began to write, I used to write novels with accidental cartoon characters. I knew I couldn’t populate a novel with stick figures, so I tried to flesh them out. What makes a human a human? I asked myself desperately. Specifics! I made character worksheets and dutifully filled them out with attributes. Height, hair color, eye color, hobbies, place of residence, parental occupation, etc. etc. I ended up with characters who followed the rules of being human, and they could carry a story, but they still didn’t feel real.

I’m skipping Example C for now, because it’s a byproduct, for me, of failing to remember the lessons of Example D.

Example D: Example D is how I build characters now. I begin by studying real people instead of by creating lists of traits. I end up with shadows I forgot to draw in my cartoon version, hair that looks like actual hair instead of what I sort of remember what hair looks like, and feet that have all the toes drawn in because with a reference, I can remember how to accurately draw a pinkie toe. Real people are complicated and surprising. If I were building a character with a fear of water without looking at a real person, I might give them the phobia because they’d nearly drowned once: the easiest and most logical answer. It wouldn’t necessarily be wrong — it would follow rules that a reader would understand. But if I looked at a real person with a fear of water, I might discover that their fear developed because of an obsession with quantifying the abstract, and trying to understand the concept of an infinite body of water made them anxious. A much more complicated answer, but more specific and more real because of it. If I populate a book with characters built like this, I’m going to end up with a nuanced story that should have more emotional resonance. Moreover, the more I study real humans and build characters from them, the less I have to lean on real humans to make secondary characters. As I learn the more subtle rules of how people’s personalities are made, I can start to build new humans who don’t exist — who nonetheless appear as if they could.

Example C: I’m returning to example C because it’s a cautionary tale for me. Even though I feel that I’m worlds better than that old version of me writing cartoony people who could only exist in a two-dimensional place, if I get lazy with my character development, or if I try to create a sort of person I’ve never met in real life from scratch, I can still end up with one of these weird cartoon-realistic hybrids. A character who nearly looks real but lacks the subtle, observed nuances that I can only get from keeping an eye on real life. These characters follow the rules, and they have back stories and hobbies and nuance, but they’re still lacking the surprising, non-linear subtleties of a real person, or they’re lacking the specificity that comes from studying a real-life elbow and carefully transcribing the shape of it.

There are particular sorts of things I look for in real people when I’m stealing bits and bobs, but that is a topic for another blog post. For now, I’m going to go figure out why I still can’t draw feet.

Stiefvater

I just love them. I love this. Let me have this. There was plenty of other things I could have worked on today but I couldn’t resist. I have actually been showing some restraint because I COULD BE DRAWING OTHER THINGS, but I gave in to weakness.

This was one of those times I was afraid to go anywhere near this with clean lineart and actual colors because the sketch looks so nice and it was going to lose some of it’s charm. So I left it alone for the most part lol

i am puzzleshipping trash just throw me in the garbage where i belong

anonymous asked:

Don't you ever feel bad or weird speculating about other people's lives that actually want their relationships and their private lives private and just want to show the content they make?

no because:

1. i don’t “speculate” in the sense of fabricating things that are unreasonable or untrue

2. they don’t ONLY share youtube content. they do live shows, they have twitters and instagrams–they frequently tell us more about their lives behind their youtube videos and i don’t draw on more material than that to write about them or talk about their relationship. if they wanted full privacy they could easily achieve it and step back from all social media. but look at their recent pics and tell me if that looks like two people who don’t want anyone to discuss anything but the latest sims video

3. i’m one person with absolutely no power and sway in the exchange between dnp and their audience. dnp are content creators with massive wealth and influence and they are in a position of power over their fans. one person sitting on a tumblr blog talking about how cute they are together has absolutely no capacity to harm them. arguments about protecting their privacy are well intentioned but ultimately hyperbolic in my opinion bc they don’t need “protection” from people who have far less power than them

4. as i touch on above, i don’t do anything invasive or empower people who follow me to do anything invasive. i don’t have access to their private communication. i don’t stalk them. i don’t pass off opinion as fact. there are basic boundaries to what i post and say because as much as i don’t have the power to hurt dnp on my own i do respect them as individuals

lol i hope sending in this ask made you feel better, but in my opinion it seems a little smug and self-righteous. unless you want to make a respectful and actually substantive argument for why you think anything i’m doing/saying on this blog is inappropriate, i’ll probs refrain from answering questions like this in future. i hope you have a nice day! x

Fandom: the amedots are horrible bullies they’ll insult real people because they dont agree with them!!!!“

Me, who knows whats up: actually amedots have been bullied to a level were many have deactivated their accounts and/or stopped drawing content for it because theyre scared even though theyre completly innocent of the bs that happens in the fandom but nice try

Over the last two weeks I received many nice asks but I haven’t got any time to answer them because I focused on my exams. I am sorry for the wait!

Me and a good friend of mine were talking about it recently and we ended up wondering about FFXV if it had Mermaids. You wouldn’t get a whole lot of mean or harmful ones in it just due to the fact you can’t work your way into the ocean. (Not to say there wouldn’t be at all but it’d be harder since the boys are touching the sea much)
So what about Altissia having mermaids?

The ones who live there already know about them. But the chocobros really don’t.
They ride the Gondola and the people running it just know they are tourists, they haven’t seen these boys before and face it the clothes kind of show they are, and are like “keep hands and arms and everything inside the boat at all times. If you have a wallet with a chain do not let your chain hang out” and so on and they all think it’s just standard safety procedures. But then the people who run it are like “Don’t even sit on the edge just in case of a rare occurrence of a mermaid” and they get that warning for if you’re anywhere near the water don’t even look over and they all just kind of laugh it off because that must be one of those weird legends they tell to the non-locals just to pull their leg.
until it finally happens…

Maybe it was Gladio who was sitting on the side edge, and one suddenly peeks up and grabs him by the hips and pulls him in.
Or maybe Noctis had a good-luck charm that was partly dangling down and he later finds out that it’s gone, but he doesn’t know who(what) snatched it and now he’s on a wild goose chase for it.
Perhaps Ignis was cleaning his glasses and he held it out over the water, he was trying to get the sun to reflect on it to see if he missed a spot and there’s just a sudden SPLASH- it’s gone and now he’s soaked.
Or Prompto got bored and was leaning over, and he just happened to be leaning down and getting too close to the water… And suddenly there are hands at his face and something looking him directly in the eye. (maybe if the mermaid was a bold and wily one, they could pull him in for a smooch before throwing him back)
But could you imagine though? In a grand place like that, that’s already full of wonderful scenic shots just waiting to be taken, if every now and then one of them snuck their way into a picture? Or every now and then surfacing to interact with people just to sate their own curiosity. Wily mermaids who nab something off of you whenever you aren’t looking- heck some of the vendors who are set on boats are paranoid and watch over their goods like a hawk just to make sure them sneaky little mermaids didn’t snitch anything.

Hell imagine if there was some that ventured out to Galden Quey. They become somewhat of an urban legend because no one manages to get a good look at them and never has there been a clear picture, so everyone’s like “It’s just a fish. You saw only just a fish why did you show me this picture of fish tail?”
The waters near Cape Caem? Now that’s where you got to watch out. Get too close to the shore when the mermaids hang around there and someone is bound to become lost treasure.

Back when you didn't draw Sabezra I could say that your art was really good. But now you draw that hellish ship your art is awful. You should go back to not shipping them to make your followers actually happy again (Anon because I don't want backlash)

I hope you anons realise that no matter how much hate I get about me drawing Sabezra… I’m not gonna stop.

I was tagged by @wolfie-dragon-rider and @slavicviking thank you guys so much ♡

My 10 favorite characters from 10 different fandoms:

Hiccup Haddock III (How to train your Dragon) - my cutest and most wonderful little sass. That’s the sexiest animated character ever existed. He’s perfect but also full of imperfections. That’s what makes him so wonderful.

Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir (Miraculous Ladybug) - Sunshine Child™, the most lovable cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure.

Daenerys Targaryen (Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire) - she changed the world just because she believed she can. Growing up with abusive brother haven’t broken her but made her stronger. She lost everything but she gained much more. I love her incredible strength, being so feminine and badass. And she’s the Mother of Dragons.

Star Butterfly (Star vs. the Forces of Evil) - I absolutely love her being totally awkward and cute but rebellious and independent.

Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls) - she’s basically me but with more self-confidence and less common sense.

Rose Quartz (Steven Universe) - I love her just because. She sacrificed herself to give birth to her son. How can you not love her? Of course, she probably did that to avoid the consequences of her previous actions, but who cares?

Annabeth Chase (Percy Jackson franchise) - she’s just amazing. She doesn’t have any magical abilities like her friends but she has incredible mind. She totally smashes the stereotypes that women are weak and blondes are dumb. She completed a mission that no one could do before, even the greatest heroes. She’s impressive and powerful and I love her so much.

Hermione Granger (Harry Potter series) - she was my hero when I was a little girl. I was growing up with her, I wanted to be like her, I wanted to know everything. I guess I have a thing for strong, smart girls.

Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher franchise) - I couldn’t not include the Polish accent ;) Geralt is one of the most complicated and unpredictable characters I’ve ever known. He always follows his own rules and he always is ready to face the consequences of his decisions. And he’ll do anything for his two beloved women and his friends.

Lloyd Garmadon (Ninjago) - honestly, I have no idea why do I love him. Maybe because he is a cinnamon roll that could actually kill you? There’s something in him that I can’t actually name.

Okay, I’m finally done. I tag @soowoopl, @lisiczka-zorua, @natieland (if you haven’t done it yet), @hornsda, @leffie-draws-fanart, @leffie-reblogs, @leffie-requests, @leffie (she wanted me to tag her and I like to cheat sometimes :D), @ragnaroqpl and the last one is for you ;)
