because the only thing he's thinking about is how he didn't lose her

anonymous asked:

Dr Who but each incarnation is swapped with one of their companions.

omg?? I love it??

The First Doctor:

She’s not completely unfriendly, exactly, she just doesn’t have time for humans being idiots. In the right circumstances, she can actually be very warm. She loves history, which is lucky because her granddaughter Susan does too (they tell people Susan is her daughter, but even then it’s a bit of a stretch, human ages are weird). Of course, then two of Susan’s teachers follow her home one night, and next thing the Doctor knows she has a crotchety old history teacher and a handsome young science teacher on her spaceship with no way to get rid of them that isn’t morally questionable.

Whoops?

The humans help her lose some of her haughtiness. She leaves Susan in the 22nd century to become her own woman.

Along the way and against her better judgement, she falls hopelessly for Ian Chesterton. He wants to stay with her forever, but she knows it would never work, and encourages him to go with John Foreman in the Dalek Time Machine to get back to his own time.

Later, in other lives, she checks in on him occasionally.

The Second Doctor:

The baby face is a problem. It takes a good twenty minutes on a lot of occasions to get anyone to take her seriously. On the bright side, a lot of Polly’s clothes fit her now.

She finds a best friend in Scotsman Jamie McCrimmon, whose rather naive approach to futuristic technology is extremely refreshing, as is his unique insightfulness.

After Ben and Polly leave them, they rescue Victoria, who Jamie is utterly taken with. Victoria is unsure about living a life so unsupervised by someone older and won’t listen to the Doctor’s insistence that she is in fact perfectly qualified to look after them all.

She and Victoria spend a good many nights aboard the TARDIS talking about women’s history and the things to come for women in the future and how women act on other planets. Victoria is fascinated, occasionally horrified, and often quietly thrilled at the things she learns.

It’s a shame to see her go, but all she ever wanted was a family and security, and the Doctor can’t provide that.

They meet an eccentric man on a space station, with funny trousers and an obsession with the recorder. The Doctor and Jamie like him instantly, and invite him on board only to learn that the man had been considering stowing away if not invited.

The Time Lords take her friends away from her. She is forced to regenerate and exiled to Earth, as punishment for her interference.

The Third Doctor:

Shrewd, passionately devoted to science, and not one to take kindly to interruptions or anyone trying to talk down to or even disagree with her, it’s a wonder the Doctor even gets hired by UNIT at all. But then again, beggars can’t be choosers.

On the bright side, this fellow John Smith from Cambridge seems to be the one person around with an actual brain and not just a penchant for attacking first and thinking later.

They’re friends instantly. Or, they are once she makes it perfectly clear that she is the cleverer of the two. The look on his face when he realises is a memory she’ll treasure forever.

He eventually leaves to go back to his own research, upon realising she doesn’t need him.

It’s a shame and she misses him, but then Jo Grant comes into her life. Despite an awful first impression, the two women are soon fiercely devoted to each other. Jo keeps going on about women having to stick together amongst all the army boys, and while the Doctor could usually not care less about gender politics, if it means Jo hangs around her more, then so be it.

The Master turns up. It’s exhausting and exasperating and oh so much fun

Meanwhile, the Doctor’s told herself to not let herself fall for humans, after how much Ian hurt. But with Jo, it’s impossible not to. (Not that she hasn’t noticed the Brigadier’s lingering stares, or failed to appreciate him in his uniform. But he’s far too professional to ever do anything, and too trigger happy besides.)

Jo is like sunshine and she’s always there and smiling and pressing herself against the Doctor out of fear or shock, until one day they’re in the supply closet of a spaceship and they’re kissing furiously instead of listening out for their pursuers.

It’s wonderful, being with Jo. Until Clive Jones comes along, and the Doctor has to tell her to forget about her and marry the nice young man who can grow old with her and give her the life she wants.

She drinks more champagne than she is proud of that night.

Luckily, along comes Sarah Jane Smith, who is exactly the kind of human that the Doctor automatically adores. Inquisitive, sharp, and a vocal feminist. What a woman.

Of course, then giant alien spiders happen, and it’s time for a change.

The Fourth Doctor:

Or… not. Apparently, she’s doomed to be young, attractive, humanoid, and pale skinned throughout all her lives. There are worse fates, but she wouldn’t mind a little variety, frankly. And being so small is getting infuriating.

Harry takes a long while to take her seriously, but once he does, he is steadfastly loyal. Sarah Jane takes the regeneration in stride for the most part.

And after them, Leela, who is so strange and savage but so utterly charming in her honesty. They share a few kisses, but nothing more.

Then comes Romana. A young Time Lord who looks older than her, is far taller than is sensible, and has an even more absurd grin. She can’t stand him, with his bragging about his grades and thinking he knows everything.

She soon teaches him that experience wins every time.

Of course, then he spots some pretty princess on Tara, and next thing she knows, the moment the whole Key To Time mess is sorted, Romana is now a less taller, less ridiculous, utterly beautiful Time Lady in her first regeneration.

She tries to argue against what she can only consider body theft, or at least copying, but it is a relief to not have to crane her neck up to speak to her companion.

Romana becomes a most dear friend. She’s missed being around someone like her, someone who understands. It makes it all the worse when she leaves, leaving the Doctor with only Adric and his incessant questions.

The Fifth Doctor:

There’s something about this body, a regality, that commands a little more respect than the ones before it, despite it following the pattern of her others.

Adric’s questions exasperate her, while Tegan’s demands to be taken home are met with gentle requests for patience and promises of Heathrow airport, and this Traken prince she’s picked up is thankfully one of the most polite people she’s ever had in the TARDIS. Decent brain on him, too.

Tegan’s smile sometimes makes her stomach do backflips. The Doctor ignores it. She’s learned her lesson. It’s almost a relief to see Tegan reach her breaking point and leave, except it isn’t, because for a long while it feels like a part of her is missing.

Turlough is a curiosity, but a nice one who makes for surprisingly good company in the absence of the others.

Perpugilliam Brown is a surprise. The Doctor remembers why she has tried to avoid America where possible in her travels. Americans are loud. But in the case of Peri, it involves shouting at the Master, and as such, the Doctor decides that Perpugilliam Brown can stay as long as she likes.

Between the two of them and soon Erimem, uncrowned Pharaoh of Egypt, they make quite the team.

The Sixth Doctor:

It’s about time! Finally, a more weathered model. Peri is surprised to say the least, and seems a little disappointed to lose out on her best friend who had until now looked a very similar age to her, but soon realises very little has changed.

And now she lets the Doctor take care of her a bit better. Thank goodness for that! The maternal instincts in this body are absurdly strong, she has no idea what she would do if she couldn’t express them.

Now, the borderline narcissistic but quietly lovable history professor she accidentally picks up some time after losing Peri is a trickier matter. Still, at least he shares her love for chocolate cake.

The Seventh Doctor:

Bright, bubbly, and able to get most people to like her within ten seconds. Now this is a regeneration she likes. Plus, her most impressive set of lungs yet. Handy, for calling companions who like to wander off.

She tries to not encourage Ace’s use of explosives, but it’s difficult when she sees how genuinely happy they make the girl. She’s getting soft in her old age, she knows.

Still, at least her brain makes up for it. She can out-think a computer, easily. The universe is her chessboard and she’ll do whatever the hell she pleases with it.

The Eighth Doctor:

She’s a jolly thing. Always keen for adventure, ready to shout at anyone who deserves it, and just wants to have a good time, really.

After a rather rocky start involving amnesia and kissing the cardiologist who had caused her regeneration in the first place, the Doctor is just minding her own business when she accidentally messes with history.

It seems that saving this stowaway on the R101 might not have been the best idea after all. But he’s so charming and sweet and genuine, sharing her utter passion for life, that by the time she realises her mistake, she’s not willing to part with him.

That goes… about as well as one might expect.

The Ninth Doctor:

It’s funny, being a weathered old war veteran with a guilty conscience, and simultaneously looking like someone who could be on the front of a magazine.

Life is hard, after the time war, but she meets a man with big ears and blue eyes and things get better. A lot better. It feels good to smile again.

The addition of Captain Jack Harkness is an interesting one, but she’s always said the more the merrier. Their other companion is not quite as happy about this development, but before long they’re the best of friends.

The Tenth Doctor:

She’s gentler now, somehow. Oh, she has her anger and her snark, and boy does this body have a set of lungs on her. But she’s so much softer, underneath.

Losing her friends from her last body takes its toll. She at least manages to avoid comparing Martha to them that came before her. Martha is wonderful, always completing even the most impossible tasks that the Doctor puts to her. They part on good terms, after the Master’s ravaging of the Earth. (The Master had not been so impressed with this version of her. He had trouble seeing the strength within, seeing that she was more than the duality of compassion and shouting.) Martha needs to look after her family, and that’s probably for the best.

And then there’s the skinny idiot in the suit. He actually talks faster than she does, which is absurd, but she wonders if that’s simply because of his questionable family. Perhaps not letting them get a word in is how he survives.

Either way, they get along like a house on fire. Losing him, wiping his memory and seeing him stare right through her and smile that stupid smile, is almost enough to break her.

No more companions, she swears.

The Eleventh Doctor:

It’s all about fun, now. Impressing the little boy whose garden she crashes in and then impressing him when he’s grown up and has waited 14 years for her. (To hell with her rule about no more companions. Her old self was full of dumb ideas anyway.)

Oh yes, she likes Rory Williams a lot. And his best friend John isn’t bad either. Mind you, that nose…

She has her spaceship, and her boys, and life is good. Well, there’s River Song to worry about, but she can never be sure if the archaeologist is more interested in her or John. Just one more mystery, it seems.

Losing Rory, and then John, is hard. But she knows that they’re happy, and that’s enough.

The Twelfth Doctor:

Short, bossy, a control freak, and a slight obsession with tartan. Also, her English teacher companion is secretly a rock star wannabe, disguised as a reclusive Scottish nerd.

What’s a girl to do?

(Apparently, find out that her best enemy is alive, and now also female. And Scottish like her companion. The first kiss had been… shocking to say the least. The ones after, against her better judgement, decidedly less so.)

She cares about her companion more than she will ever say, and when faced with losing him, takes things too far. Further than anyone should ever take anything. And when it is all said and done… she can’t remember his face, or his voice, or how he sounded when he mocked how large her eyes were.

River is there to comfort her, though, in those 24 years on Darillium.

And then Bill. Brilliant Bill. Oh yes, they make quite the team. And Nardole helps sometimes too.

Send me an AU and I’ll expand on it!

Why the shows treatment of Yin Fen bothers me

*spoilers for if you are not up to date with either the show or infernal devices*

In the show you are introduced to yin fen as if it were any other recreational drug. Izzy gets hooked on it and displays the typical drug addict symptoms: cravings, fever, jitteriness, ect.  She is shown to be addicted to it, she is willing to do anything to get more of it; she is shown to be a very typical, unflatteringly painted, drug addict.

This completely destroys and undermines Jem Carstairs’ entire character arc.

It is immediately established in Clockwork Angel that Jem is not a drug addict in the common sense. Yin fen is not a metaphor for meth or cocaine or any other recreational drug. It is a metaphor for the wasting, cureless diseases of the day, such as consumption or typhoid or something:

A hero […] who was condemned to die young of a fatal demonic illness, no matter how desperate the efforts were to save him, just as in reality victims of consumption sickened and died without penicillin(Forward of Clockwork Princess, pg. 4)

Clare states it clearly herself, yin fen is not a recreational drug like the show made it to be.

By giving Izzy this plotline, they have ruined any chance of Jem’s arc making any sense at all. People would see that Jem is addicted to yin fen and not be able to understand why he can’t just kick the habit. It wouldn’t make any sense that the drug is killing him, turning his hair and eyes silver and paling his skin, because this very obviously not what happens to Izzy. Izzy isn’t dying, she just feels like she is.

It is made very clear that Jem hates what yin fen has done to him. He hates that he must rely on it, he despises how it has stolen his life from him. And while he compares it to the Opium in China and himself to the addicts(thus offering a compelling metaphor about colonialism and racism):

The British bring opium into China by the ton. They have made a nation of addicts out of us. In Chinese we call it ‘foreign mud’ or ‘black smoke’. In some ways Shanghai, my city, is built on opium. It wouldn’t exist as it does without it. The city is full of dens where hollow-eyed men starve to death because all they want is the drug, more of the drug. They’ll give anything for it. I used to despise men like that. I couldn’t understand how they were so weak.

[…]

There was one thing they couldn’t fix, though. I had become addicted to the substance the demon had poisoned me with. My body was dependent on it the way an opium addict’s body is dependent on the drug.

(Clockwork Angel, ch. 15, pg. 339-340)

He also makes it very clear that the drug is more of an bastardized medicine:

After weeks of experimentation they decided that nothing could be done: I could not live without the drug. The drug itself meant a slow death, but to take me off it would mean a very quick one.

The yin fen is what keeps Jem alive, and he despises that. He wants to burn bright like Will does, he wants to live to grow old with Tessa(though not for her but that’s another rant). This why he throws it in the fire in Clockwork Princess, why he was taking less of it. He loathes relying on it.

This is not the case with Izzy. Izzy, like most drug addicts, craves how good the yin fen makes her feel. She actively wants more of it. It is not a unavoidable and cruel medicine, it is a recreational drug.

But the worst aspect of this is that it plays right into the negative and degrading view the other Shadowhunters have of Jem and further causes and creates Jem’s greatest fear.

The books works extremely hard to make it very clear that Jem Carstairs is not a drug addict. It is consistently referred to as his illness, the other characters work hard to combat this kind of thinking in the novels themselves. This plays into the vilification of the Lightwoods especially, with Gabriel constantly saying awful and derogatory things about Jem:

“You’re a decent Shadowhunter, James,” [Gabriel] said, “and a gentleman. You have your–disability, but no one blames you for that.”

(Clockwork Angel, ch. 9, pg. 206)

“I think,” Gabriel said, “that perhaps you might consider whether jokes about opium are either amusing or tasteful, given the…situation of your friend Carstairs.”

Will froze. Still in the same tone of voice, he said, “You mean his disability?

Gabriel blinked. “What?”

“That’s what you called it. Back at the Institute. His ‘disability’.” Will tossed the bloody cloth aside. “And you wonder why we aren’t friends.”

(Clockwork Angel, Ch. 11, pg. 269)

Not only this, but the scenes during and after Jem retrieves Will from the Drug Den, are extremely telling.

When Jem drags Will out of the den, the reader sees him lose his temper for the first time:

“You did not have to come and fetch me like some child. I was having quite a pleasant time.”

Jem looked back at him. “God damn you,” he said, and hit Will across the face, sending him spinning. Will didn’t lose his footing, but fetched up against the side of the carriage, his hand to his cheek. His mouth was bleeding. He looked at Jem with total astonishment.

(Clockwork Prince, ch. 9, pg. 195)

In this moment, Jem is so blindingly angry at Will, even Tessa observes herself how this was so utterly unlike him, because he feels as if Will is mocking Jem and his addiction by going and getting high on a drug when Jem is literally dependent and dying because of the yin fen.

“There’s no cure,” […] “I will die, and you know it, Tess. Probably within the next year. I am dying, and I have no family in the world, and the one person I trusted more than any other made sport of what is killing me.”

[…]

“He knows what it means to me,” he said. “To see him even toy with what has destroyed my life–”

(Clockwork Angel, ch. 9, pg. 200)

Because Jem has to battle against the label of a drug addict everyday, and his biggest fear is that he is just a addict, that that’s all anyone sees. He hates that label. Which, as seen, is openly talked about in the books. This is such a big deal that Will actually apologizes for it:

“I went to that den because I could not stop thinking about my family, and I wanted–I needed–to stop thinking,” said Will. “It did not cross my mind that it would look like I was making a mockery out of your sickness. I suppose I am asking your forgiveness for my lack of consideration.”

(Clockwork Prince, ch. 11, pg. 247)

Even though Will makes a point to never apologize about anything so that others will hate him. He apologizes to Jem for this thoughtlessness because he realizes how royally he messed up.

All of this is totally disregarded in Izzy’s storyline. People entering into TID after watching the show will be confused and not understand how Jem is sick and dying and is not really a drug addict at all. In short, they will enter into the novels with a prejudice and misunderstanding of Jem, and see him just like the other Shadowhunter’s do: a weak drug addict.

tl;dr: the show totally ruins and misconstrues and mocks Jem’s character arc by giving Izzy such a typical(and utterly incorrect) recreational drug addict storyline and I am furious about it.

Fuck BRE. I'm still fried from Olicity overload. Instead of tidbits all season we've been overdosed with it all IN ONE EP!! #deathtoolicityfandom >>---> I do have a question tho, and it's about that last scene. Felicity said she understood why Oliver lied about William, and I know it has to do with Helix, but how does she understand? Felicity didn't lie to Oliver. She trusted him. he doesn't trust her not with Helix and not with William. So still not comprehending that last scene totally

the olicity was so real, girl, so real and intense and amazing wow

(Before I even attempt to answer this, I have to link to this post and this post by @cogentranting that absolutely nailed my exact thoughts on what happened.)

This is such a layered question only because it’s a layered issue, one that’s been churning and boiling for years now. It’s something that was set in motion way before Olicity even got together, one that is reflected in both Oliver and Felicity as stand-alone characters.

When Felicity said she understood, it wasn’t about the actual decision that Oliver made. What she understood better after last night was Oliver himself.

(src)

She does know now, or at the very least she’s starting to, and it is just that understanding that let her see things oh so differently, that let her look back and see things from how Oliver’s POV. It has finally given her a level of understanding that she never, ever had before.

(src)

(god his face, look at him, he’s so vulnerable, but he’s also so cleansed)

It isn’t as simple as trust by itself, that was what last night was about. The problem (and the one that got them to the point where Oliver didn’t tell Felicity about William) is that Oliver doesn’t trust himself, and that was the driving force behind so, so, so many of his past actions.

THE RFA BREAK UP POST AH MY HEART!!! Okay. So. What about the MC moving on and finding someone else? And RFA+V+Saeran realize that they still had feelings for her, but it's been a long time(like maybe a year or two) and MC's finally moved on and they just... Don't have a chance? Why am I like this. Why do I want this. I'm awful. (PS I didn't cry when I read the breakup one, no sir, I did not.)

hey i just read your breaking up headcanon and can i ask for rfa+v+saeran regreting their decision but idk maybe its too late or not its up to you

hi can i ask for a sequel of your break up hc like they regretting their choice and trying to get you back

aah these were similar so I figured I could do them all together! hope you like it. A sort of sequel to this

Yoosung

  • It took 14 months for Yoosung to regret everything
  • 14 whole months
  • Once he realises that he does in fact still love you with every ounce of his being, he starts getting weird
  • Like Yandere Mode™ is activated
  • It starts off with the usual social media stalking, and he even has Seven helping him find out things about your life via what you post online
  • But soon enough he’s becoming obsessive, and Seven stops helping so not to let it get worse
  • But it does
  • Not being able to investigate everything he can about you online makes him jealous of anyone you’re in contact with
  • Talking to the guys in the messenger? Not on his watch
  • He becomes insufferable, constantly inserting himself into your conversations, commenting on everything you post online
  • You’re almost certain you’ve seen him in the corner of your eye whilst out and about a few times
  • But that’s just you being paranoid, right?
  • Either way it eventually reaches a point where he’s on your doorstep, begging you to take him back
  • He’s crying and rambling, and he’s quite possibly has something to drink
  • But you don’t love him anymore
  • In fact you’re unsure if you could ever love him again
  • So you tell him this, and it sure as hell is not what he wants to here
  • You’re stuck with a blubbering mess at your door, and have to call Seven to come and retrieve him
  • After this things change drastically
  • He knows he doesn’t have a chance with you, you made that extremely clear
  • He stops stalking your online presence, instead turning to the one comfort he has - his games
  • All he ever does is sit at his computer, playing his games, isolating himself from the outside world
  • Because he doesn’t want to be a part of the outside world if he doesn’t have you.

Zen

  • It really didn’t take long for Zen to regret his decision
  • Like it was probably about 5 months, if that
  • Even the first night when he went to bed alone he had the seeds of doubt growing within him
  • Unfortunately for him, those 5 months were all it took for you to move on
  • You knew it was all for the best, things just didn’t work out
  • But he didn’t think like that, and he wanted you back
  • He tried to be romantic, turning up at your door with flowers, dedicating his performances to you, leaving you voicemails of him singing love songs
  • But you ignored everything
  • You felt guilty ignoring his efforts so much, but it was the only way you would get him to move on like you had
  • How would he let it go if you let him think he was getting somewhere with you?
  • His attempts start getting more desperate, with more and more drunk voicemails being left throughout the nights
  • One of these nights you hear a thump by your front door, opening it cautiously only to find a passed out Zen on the floor
  • You debate just bringing him in until morning, but that would probably give him false hope, so you grab your phone and call Seven to come and help you
  • The two of you manage to get Zen into the car, and you go with Seven to take him home
  • Once there you take Zen inside, helping him to his bed
  • After fetching a glass of water for him, you see he has start to wake up a little
  • Still drunk and groggy from passing out, he thinks he’s dreaming
  • Crying a little, he reaches his hand out to hold yours
  • I love you so much, please just come back to me
  • But his begging still does nothing for you, so you tell him that things will never go back to how they were, and you quietly turn around and leave to go home
  • The next day is surprisingly peaceful, no calls, no visits, no voicemails
  • This continues for weeks, and althought you don’t hear from him you think he’s moving on
  • But you soon find out that isn’t the case
  • Jumin informs you that Zen is drinking much heavier and earlier than he had been previously, and the reason he hasn’t been contacting you is because he’s usually too drunk to even move, that is of course if he hasn’t passed out
  • You lose count of times you wake up to find him passed out on your doorstep, because no matter what happens or how much time passes, he always finds his way back to you, even when you don’t want him to
  • You are after all the love of his life, and he doesn’t know any different than to go to you.

Jaehee

  • She thought she was doing the right thing
  • She thought she had made the right decision
  • But one night whilst watching Zen’s latest romance film for the 100th time she realises it would have been your 5 year anniversary
  • Had you not broken up two years ago that is
  • She’s been so damn busy with work, she’s barely had time to think about how she feels
  • But here she is, suddenly swimming in memories of the two of you
  • It doesn’t take long for her to realise she’s full of regret
  • How could she let you go?????
  • It’s late now, so she decides to just sleep on it
  • Waking up she’s hopeful it was just a night of reminiscing
  • It wasn’t
  • If anything, she feels even stronger
  • She suddenly can’t stop thinking about running her hands through your hair, the glimmer in your eyes, the way your hand fits perfectly into hers
  • Every little detail she overlooked before were now screaming to be seen
  • It also just so happened this was the day of the RFA meeting, and she was going to have to see you
  • She got lost in your eyes as you spoke to the group about the guests for this particular party
  • She doesn’t even know what was said
  • After the meeting she casually makes comment to Jumin about how happy you looked
  • That’s when he says the one thing she never wanted to hear
  • Well it’s probably because of the new girl they’re seeing
  • Her heart literally shatters as he says the words
  • Jaehee doesn’t really know how to handle this??
  • Why at the same time she realised what a monumental mistake she made by ending things with you, did she have to find out there was someone else making you happy
  • Her way of dealing with it is pretending everything is normal
  • Not you or anyone else ever notices, she hides it so well
  • If you had known, maybe you would realised you felt the same
  • But you never find out, so you never reflect on how you feel about her
  • She supports you in your relationship, and seems to get on really well with your girlfriend
  • But when no one is looking, her eyes well up, and the occasional one escapes
  • She cries herself to sleep more often than she’d ever be willing to admit
  • Seeing you and your new girlfriend happy together breaks her heart over and over again
  • She would kill to be the one making you smile like that, just like she used to.

Jumin

  • He’s always prided himself on his ability to ‘kill his feelings’
  • And when he ended your relationship, he did this easily
  • It didn’t take long for him to revert to his old ways, being stiff and generally unwelcoming
  • He was civil to talk to, but he was so different to the person who had you inside his head for three years
  • The breakup felt like it had almost killed you
  • It took you a very long time to get over it, because you never had any closure
  • But then you met someone, someone who let you in from the start, who treated you like you were the single greatest thing on earth
  • You still had a lot of hurt in you from Jumin, but this new person was like a breath of fresh air
  • As things get more serious, you start bringing them around the group more
  • Up until the first time Jumin meets them, he had no idea you were even considering dating other people, let alone be in a serious relationship with someone
  • He’s polite, but doesn’t make much of an effort with them
  • He ??? doesn’t ??? know ??? what ??? this ??? feeling ??? is ???
  • It feels like his heart is actually aching, but that’s just illogical, surely?
  • That night he sits with Elizabeth, drinking his wine and trying to figure out what is going on with him
  • The best thing he can think to do is call up the person who knows him better than himself, and he does so, explaining these strange feelings to his best friend
  • V chuckles softly, a hint of sorrow in his voice as he tells Jumin what it is
  • Jealousy
  • He hangs up, shifting Elizabeth and walks over to his penthouse windows, looking out at the night sky
  • V is right, and Jumin knows it, but there’s nothing he can do
  • He is the one who ended things after all
  • He can’t swoop in now and hope to have you back
  • His solution is to obviously stomp out the feelings, but it doesn’t work
  • He cant get you out of his head, you even haunt his dreams now
  • So instead he distances himself from the RFA more and more, only speaking with V on a regular basis
  • RFA parties can’t be avoided, so when the winter party finally arrives, he doesn’t have a choice but to go
  • Seeing you hurts him, but no one could have prepared him for what happened
  • Your significant other proposed, in front of everyone, right in the middle of the room
  • You were so happy and excited you didn’t see Jumin’s tall figure quietly leaving the building
  • But V did, and for a brief second, he almost thought he saw a glistening tear making it’s way down Jumin’s face.

Seven

  • About 6 months after that party, you started to feel better
  • To say you were completely over him would be a stretch, but it didn’t feel like the world was crashing around you whenever you saw him
  • As you started accepting the relationship was over and letting go of it, Seven slowly started joining back in with the RFA more
  • It doesn’t take long for the two of you to become relatively close again
  • But it’s different
  • You still love him, but it just feels platonic now
  • It didn’t seem possible that you would ever get to a place where you could be happy in his presence again, yet here you are
  • The pair of you spend a lot of time together, but you still manage to start dating again
  • A lot of people are uncomfortable with how close you are to your ex, except one
  • They’re so perfect ???
  • You can’t believe it ???
  • If you thought you were happy when you were with Seven, you were wrong, this was genuinely the happiest you had ever been
  • Little did you know that during those months where you were rebuilding your friendship with Seven, it was bringing back more than just platonic love for him
  • Without even realsing he found himself madly in love with you again all of a sudden
  • He just wanted to have you at his side all the time
  • And whilst you did spend a lot of time together, it wasn’t how he wanted it
  • He stalked your new significant other online within an inch of their life
  • Everything they ever posted or was posted about them he found
  • But there was nothing in there to use to get rid of them
  • They were a good person
  • But even so, everday before he went to sleep, he would check again
  • One day he would find something, to keep this person away from you
  • He had to find something
  • Slowly as your relationship progressed, Seven started holding himself back, once again isolating himself from everyone but V
  • He didn’t know how he was supposed to live a life where someone else made you smile the way he used to.

V

  • A little part of him always harboured some feelings for you still
  • He knew he would never completely move on, but he didn’t expect this
  • It had been a little over a year since he broke off your relationship
  • You were less bitter, so he saw this as a sign of you having moved on
  • But something about that just didn’t sit well with him
  • Had you really let it go?? Did you really no longer have those feelings for him??
  • For a long time it seemed like you would never move on
  • So now that you had, he hated it
  • It didn’t take long for him to realise
  • He was still in love with you
  • The second it was clear to him, he wanted to drop everything and run to you, just to plead for a second chance and tell you how much he loved you, how he had been so stupid to give up such a perfect person like yourself
  • But he didn’t
  • You finally looked happy
  • And if that didn’t make his heart feel light and airy, he didn’t know what would
  • He knew how much he had hurt you, and he didn’t believe he deserved a second chance no matter how much he wanted it
  • So he chose to keep his feelings to himself, never telling a living soul about how much he craved curling up with you every night
  • How he craved to feel your hot breath on his lips again
  • How he craved to see you smile because of him again
  • He spends his time pretending he doesn’t love you
  • Just seeing you happy and healthy is enough for him
  • Even if not having you by his side physically hurts him
  • Whenever he hears you laugh he has to actively stop himself from daydreaming about a life where you were his once more
  • Unlike the others, it’s not because you’ve moved on that he never gets you back
  • He just thinks it’s for the best
  • But if he had told you how he felt, he would have found out you were still in love with him too
  • Instead you both continue to hurt, both wishing the other would reach out
  • But neither of you ever do, and neither of you ever get over the other.

Saeran

  • He was wrong
  • He was so fucking wrong
  • He doesn’t even know why he said it
  • Of course he loved you, of course he still loved you
  • But he had said it, and he had shattered your heart into so many pieces he could never fix it
  • So he never tried
  • It took a long time for you to get over it, at least 3 years to be specific
  • But you got there eventually
  • Looking at him didn’t hurt
  • Being in his presence didn’t make you nauseous
  • Hearing his voice didn’t make you want to scream
  • What you didn’t know is that it was the other way around now
  • Looking at you hurt
  • Being in your presence made him nauseous
  • Hearing your voice made him want to scream
  • He knew he had left it far too long now, and you were finally happy
  • There hadn’t been much if any relationship between you since the breakup, so when he started isolating himself you didn’t even notice
  • It was Seven who reached out to you, telling you something was wrong with his twin but he didn’t know what and he didn’t know how to help
  • So being the person you are, you went over there to try and speak to him
  • It was awkward at first, you had barely spoken in 3 whole years
  • But you wanted to help him so you pushed and pushed
  • Eventually he snapped and and blurts out that he can’t handle his feelings for you anymore
  • You’re taken aback by his confession, which is followed up by a question you dreaded answering
  • With what almost seemed like tears in his eyes, he quietly begged for you to just tell him you still loved him too
  • The only thing he wanted to hear, you couldn’t say
  • He asked you to leave after you told him you didn’t, and you did so without putting up a fight
  • The last thing you wanted to do was make the situation worse
  • For the first time in a long time, Saeran cried himself to sleep
  • He distanced himself from the group slowly, only speaking via Seven
  • But he always kept an eye on you, because even if you didn’t love him, he wanted to keep you safe and happy
  • You were the first person he truly loved, and you would also be the last.

When do you think Bellamy started to develop feelings for Clarke and vise-versa? I'm re-watching the series and I am on season 1, I'm noticing things I didn't notice before, like Bellamy staring at Clarke for a little longer than necessary (for ex. 1x11). I just wanted to get your perspective on it, thanks Rosy!

I think Bellamy’s feelings for Clarke came on really slowly. It started with intrigue when she challenged him to go find Jasper. Respect when she killed Atom. I think his first inkling that he had romantic feelings for her was in Day Trip. He was attracted to her, and he felt an emotional pull, but it was a crush and he decided their partnership was too important and pulled away. I think he was a little jealous when he thought she went off with Finn, but again pushed it away.

It wasn’t until they reunited in season 2, she ran into his arms, and then he sat and watched her sleeping by the first that he started to realize his feelings for her went deeper than just colleague or even friend, let alone the attraction that he tries to avoid. He knew she was IMPORTANT to him. Maybe the only other person besides Octavia that he needed. His protectiveness after that moment was certainly ramped up, but it was placed kind of in the “protetector” category. He makes himself her knight. The “I can’t lose you too” moment was a shock to him because it was more meaningful than protector, but it lead pretty quickly into “It’s worth the risk,” so he goes back to being the soldier and puts feelings for Clarke out of his mind.

Until he pulls the lever for her (which he knew would destroy her) and she leaves him. I don’t think he knew what he felt for her at that moment other than heartbroken, but he moved on after three months. But he never forgot about her. He was obsessed with her while she was gone, and it did interfere in his relationship with Gina because he just wasn’t all present. When he got word of her, he would stop at nothing to find her. He knew he couldn’t lose her, but I don’t think he knew he was in love with her until the argument in Hakeldama when he connected his hurt at being abandoned with his need to keep her safe and their physical prroximity and he all of a sudden realized he was in love with her. I actually think that contributed to his moment of panic where he handcuffed her. Because he regressed to his need to keep his loved one under lock and key. After that moment, he changes in his behavior towards Clarke.

I think Clarke developed feelings for Bellamy differently. Both more slowly and more quickly. I think she thought he was attractive right away, and if Finn hadn’t pursued her might have gone in that direction, because she quickly got past his asshole persona. BUT I think that attraction was merely physical. Clarke has an easy sexuality. It could have been just a thing. She started to like him more as time went on, as a person, to respect him. To connect with him, like in Day Trip, and she definitely would have pursued something physical with him, whether it was wise or not, in Unity Days, but Bellamy, who had already decided it wasn’t wise, steered away from that. He saw it, but didn’t pursue it. They shifted their relationship to partnership. And then when she was in MW, I don’t think she realized that the reason she was fixated on getting out of the mountain was because of Finn and Bellamy– Bellamy linked with a canon romantic partner in her brain. And when she ran into his arms, I don’t think she thought at all about how or why her feelings were so strong for him. She knew she couldn’t lose him. She knew she had feelings of love for him, enough so that she looked at him as a chink in her armor and a weakness, and sent him into the mountain.

THAT’S when it started to hit her what all that meant. When she lost him again. Only this time she saw it as her fault and she was aware that her feelings for Bellamy were verging on romantic. From when she first heard his voice on the radio and she had hope again, to when she sacrificed TonDC to keep him alive, she began to realize that not only did she care for Bellamy as one of her people but as someone she was in love with. By the end of her time with Lxa, who picked Bellamy out as someone special to Clarke, a time that was almost entirely focused on Clarke’s faith in Bellamy, her need to keep him safe, his importance to EVERYTHING, we see a Clarke who, when confronted with a beautiful woman who wants her, says “I’m not ready for a relationship… with anyone.” She has recognized that she loves Bellamy– in fact the very next line is “he did it” as Bellamy’s flare goes up to signal that the acid fog is down– but she’s also recognized that she can’t go there.

This is borne out the next time they meet. She’s been focused on his safety the entire time he was in there, but when he opens that door, she does not run into his arms in relief like in camp jaha, or hug him like she does Monty and Jasper, no. She stands apart and STARES. Because she is not ready for anything and hugging him would be more than she can handle. THEN he pulls the lever with her. And she can’t deal and leaves. Their parting is VERY significant. She kisses him but leaves him anyway, and spends the next three months thinking about how he wouldn’t let her do it alone. THAT is who she immediately called upon when she wanted him back, the man who was WITH her. But in Hakeldama, Bellamy rejects her, and drags up all her most hated flaws and does NOT forgive her. She thinks he hates her and she returns to Polis and turns to the beautiful woman who wants her. But she learns that she can’t run away from herself and returns to the Delinquents, with her traumas and her lessons, and works on regaining her relationship with Bellamy. She works on it quite hard. On being who she needs to be FOR HIM.

So to clarify, Clarke realized she was in love with Bellamy when he was in the Mountain. And Bellamy realized he was in love with Clarke when she came back to try and get him to side with Lxa in Hakeldama. Which was an unfortunate moment for realization, because her goals and his put them on opposite sides of a war. Madness ensues.

Also to clarify. They both love each other, but neither of them believes that the other loves them. Bellamy has rejected Clarke’s advances a couple of times, and now she’s betrayed him again, so she has no reason to believe he doesn’t hate her. And Bellamy has seen that Clarke loved someone else. Not him. Not to mention she’s with Niylah, so clearly he would think she didn’t feel the same way as him. So. They’re both wrong. But hey, everyone needs some obstacles and angst in a love story. And, oh yeah, an apocalypse.

Team gets cornered by Lotor, at some point they get separated and Lance is with Allura wearing her suit + a helmet. Everyone see when Lotor finds their hiding spot and when they run in opposite directions. Lotor goes after Allura and when Lance tries to run to then, being the closest, gets a (non-fatal) shot. Allura is taken and everyone gets to Lance… 1of3

But that’s actually Allura in the blue paladin suit. She assumed Lotor would go after a paladin and made Lance change suits w/ her in the hopes she would be the one taken and Lance and cia could still form voltron and fight. She couldn’t know about Lotor being obsessed about her 2of3

In captivity Lotor is allowing the “princess” to keep her visor full black for now, being the graceful host he is, while Lance silently freaks out. Lotor thinks Allura is very though, by refusing to talk in his presence. (Lance is weighting the worth of dying for a “your princess is in another castle” joke) 3of3

Im pretty sure there is a fic of this

Okay, but then Imagine Lotor finds out, and is super pissed- but then he actually looks at Lance. Allura who? Suddenly he is all over Lance, because Lance is super pretty. Lance is disgusted at this, and trying to let himself be saved, but Lotor treats him really well and lets him know how many days have been there. After a month, he starts wondering if they’re ever coming. He honestly thinks that maybe Allura replaced him with Blue and they’ve forgotten all about him. It doesn’t help that Lotor is adding too those thoughts by you know, being Lotor.

Eventually they do come for Lance and they all wanna fight Lotor but Keith gets there first, sees Lance in a skimpy outfit because the boys skin is better than anything in this life, and fucking loses it. He ends up with a sword to Lotor’s throat, the only thing stopping him is Lance telling him to stop. So he takes Lotor captive, and he goes to talk to Lance.

Lance tells Keith about how he thought they weren’t coming, how he thought they probably replaced him. Cue big emotional scene.

How realistic was Laura fighting in Logan? She's 11. Her bones would theoretically still be pretty soft, but she's also a mutant who heals almost instantly. While she does often lose to adults when they swarm her, she also kills a lot of people. In addition, she falls in a weird limbo between Child Solider and Child Raised for Combat because the people who trained her from birth treated her as disposable, and didn't try to brainwash her. As a result, she escapes ASAP. Thoughts?

Well, I haven’t seen Logan yet but the problem with the question is “realistic”. This is X-men, realism left the building ages ago. Nothing is realistic. If you’re asking about realism then you’re asking the wrong questions because superpowers change the rules. What you’re really asking is: should an eleven year old child be able to fight on the same level as an experienced warrior like Wolverine?

And the answer is, in the Marvel universe characters with healing factors (like Wolverine) have recovered from being burned into ash by the sun. So, in a setting where his healing factor is failing and he’s dying but she’s young, genetically/physically enhanced, and hers is working at full throttle then why not? She’s a tiny Logan. A rage-filled murder ball dedicated to death and destruction, created in a lab that turns human guinea pigs into ultimate weapons. So, I ask, why not? She’s doing exactly what she’s been designed to do, minus it being on the orders of someone else.

What stops children from competing with adults is three things.

1) Physical immaturity. Their bodies are still developing, and not on par with an adults.

2) Mental immaturity. Their brains are still developing, and don’t have the same basic understanding that adults do especially in regards to consequences. They don’t really grasp concepts like “death” and “gone forever” very well. Psychologically, these kids get pretty messed up.

3) Due to the above two problems, unless they have weapons, they can’t overcome the gap.

X-23 does all three. She has the healing factor, genetic enhancements, and blades coming out of her hands and front toe, all of which solve two of the above problems. They allow her to go toe to toe with adults because she can simply power or brute force her way through it. From a combat perspective, it doesn’t really matter if she gets hurt or go through serious body horror as her body will repair itself. So, someone without morals could put her through a meat grinder and still use her again. Plus, at least in X-men Evolution and the comics, she tends to be psychologically messed up. Someone who was treated as a weapon from the moment she was born, trained as a weapon, used as a weapon, and doesn’t really comprehend most “normal” human experiences. A clone with all Wolverine’s experiences, except she went through them as a child.

Laura Kinney, X-23 is by all standards a fairly new character in the Marvel universe. She was first introduced in the early 2000s through the WB cartoon X-Men: Evolution. Like Harely Quinn, she’s a canon immigrant. When she was introduced in the cartoon, she was a teenager.

In character, she was an angry violent rage-ball, a teenage version of Logan except more lost and unstable. However, the major difference between their experiences was that where Logan was an adult when he went through the Weapon X program, she was a child. She was the twenty-third test subject, and the only one who survived the experiments. X-23 was desperate to find out who she was and where she belonged; and, having been “raised” by Hydra, determined to find (and, possibly kill) Wolverine whom she viewed as responsible for everything that happened to her. That desire was mixed up in her desire to know who she was. Because she was a human weapon, she couldn’t distinguish between the two. Fighting was what she knew how to do, so that’s what she did. Her introduction was sneaking through the X-men mansion, disabling all the other mutant children and teachers in order to single Logan out to fight.

As a character, considering everything else, she was a fairly accurate representation of a child raised to be a human weapon. Psychologically traumatized, unstable, and unable to really comprehend her emotions or concepts like “friendship” and “family”. Deeply mistrustful of anyone and anything who got too close, unable to communicate her needs except through anger and violence. Any approach was likely to elicit an immediate, violent response. She doesn’t know how to be anything except a weapon.

Logan could reach her because Logan understood what she’d been through, but he also couldn’t really help her and it took a long time before she came to trust him (if she ever really did). That door didn’t open often for anyone else.

If you want to see her first appearances then the episodes to watch are “X23″ and “Target X”.  The name “Laura Kinney” comes (I think) from the comics as she originally did not have any name other than X-23.

In the comics, she’s another of the Weapon X subjects and the 23 refers to her gender rather than the number of times it took to create her. She escapes like she does in the movie, and eventually starts trying to figure out who she is.

It’s not really worth asking questions about realism when a setting has explicitly ejected realism. Have a good guffaw over anyone trying to argue about the “realism of Batman”. There isn’t any. The setting has defined its own definition of realism and that’s what it follows. Realism isn’t everything, and it doesn’t define what a good story is. Often, it’s not even the question you should be asking. Avatar: the Las Airbender has some awesome fighting for a children’s cartoon, fighting clearly drawn (ha!) from martial arts in the real world. However, it is by no means realistic. And, honestly, that doesn’t matter.

Well-told stories are defined by how well they tell their stories, and maintain their suspension of disbelief. Everything else after that is popcorn. Realism comes into play when we admire how well someone has done their research, how well that research supports and enhances our experience when consuming media. You don’t want to understand combat just for an added dose of realism, but also because knowledge gives us more options to work with. The more you know, the more detail you can add. All the better to create a more enjoyable experience, my dear.

Understanding the rules is the first step in figuring out how to break them, or just manipulate them to your advantage. Whatever works.

Anders is sometimes accused of being a terrorist, which is interesting, since the game provides multiple examples of actual terrorists as a counterpoint. I don’t think the idea is entirely the fault of the audience, as Bioware is clearly aware of the current cultural association between exploding buildings and terrorism, and I know some of the writers made comments in that direction. But if that’s what they were going for, it’s one of those places where authorial intent failed utterly.

They seem to have forgotten that the defining feature of terrorism isn’t violence (although of course by its very nature it is often violent) but fear. It’s right there in the word, but even so.

When Anders blows up the Chantry in Act 3, it is not meant to inspire fear. It’s not a threat: ‘Let us go, or this is what we will do to you’. If it were, it would be a pretty bloody useless one. Though, of course, magic is used to light the fuse the primary weapon is gaatlok – gunpowder. He is incredibly secretive about the formula – even Hawke, helping him, doesn’t know he also needs charcoal – and has no expectation of surviving the act. Repeating it would be a pain in the arse. Anybody who wanted to would have to start from scratch.

Rather, it is a public demonstration of the helplessness of the mages. He commits a very public crime. And it immediately becomes clear that no authority figure is even slightly interested in dealing out justice. Hawke can kill him, if they are so inclined. But if they don’t, no one is going to force them to. You can be a completely pro-Templar Hawke and waltz into the Gallows with Anders in your party to participate in the Rite of Annulment, and the Templars do not call the whole thing to a halt – because, hang on, here is the actual perpetrator.

It is an excuse to do what they were planning to do anyway. They’d find an reason, one way or another, regardless of Anders’s actions. But this one is handy. Meredith claims that her hand is forced because the city would demand vengeance. Would it? Maybe. We never find out. It does, however, tell us how Meredith plans to spin the attack. The mages were always going to be victims of her fear and her power grab. This just makes it visible.

The people who really do deliberately inspire terror in Kirkwall are the Chantry. Meredith has been ruling the city through threats of violence for decades:

Meredith’s message was clear: remember who holds the power in Kirkwall. Remember what happened to Threnhold when he overreached. To drive home her point, she presented Marlowe with a small carven ivory box at his coronation. The box contained the Threnhold signet ring, misshapen, and crusted with blood. On the inside of the lid were written the words ‘His fate need not be yours’.

World of Thedas II

She’s also practising on the mages in the Gallows – three Starkhaven mages are made Tranquil at random, just to demonstrate to the prisoners in the Circle that it is within her power to do this. By Act 3, of course, she’ll have expanded her reach further, using her Templars to harass and assault Kirkwall’s citizens.

But, until Act 3, Meredith is something of a background figure. The ultimate villain lurking behind the scenes. The clearest foil for Anders is Petrice.

Here, then, is our actual terrorist. Petrice’s end goal is violence: she wants the people of Kirkwall to take on the Qunari. Of course it wouldn’t end there. There would be a war, and an Exalted March and (in her head – almost certainly not in reality) the crushing of the Qunari by the might of the righteous Chantry.

And her method is inspiring fear. Her assaults are relatively small, but calculated to make each side think of the other as violent, dangerous and evil. She’s arranged for the murder and mutilation of Qunari before: the bodies left for Arvaarad to find, so he would think Hawke and the Saarebas were responsible. She’s used poison gas on her own people (it would have been blackpowder, had she been able to get her hands on any) in an attempt to frame the Qunari. Here, she has arranged for the torture and murder of a Qunari delegation, to demonstrate to the Arishok how far the ‘faithful’ will go to be rid of the Qunari. Eventually, she will have a high-status Qunari convert murdered so she can use his death as propaganda.

Everything Petrice does is designed to frighten people. There’s a threat behind every strike: If we don’t fight the Qunari, look what they'll do. Each act of violence is aimed at inducing a panic response – in the full knowledge that, eventually, people will be frightened enough to make war.

The contrasts are numerous: Anders is a commoner, a Fereldan (in addition to the whole mage thing), and at present living in the sewers. Petrice is apparently of noble Orlesian stock (so says The World of Thedas), and belongs to the most powerful institution in Kirkwall. The first quest actually makes a point of this: while the people of Darktown rally around their healer and Anders is quite at home there, Petrice, a Chantry sister supposedly responsible for the wellbeing of Kirkwall, is painfully out of place even in Lowtown. Moreover, whereas the underground falls apart around Anders, Petrice is a rising star – a Sister when Hawke first meets her, a Mother by Act 2. Where Anders’s plan requires that he take the blame for his actions, Petrice does everything she can to shield herself – she always works through agents, and here she sells out her own accomplice.

The common ground is a fervent belief in a cause, and at some stage (right off the bat for Petrice; in the endgame for Anders) a belief that violence is the only way to move forward.

And in the cause lies the important contrast.

Anders’s plan is only of value if he’s right. He’s not trying to inspire fear. It’s knowing that the fear is already there that prompts him to act as he does. If he’s wrong and the Circle and Templars are not oppressive institutions designed to control and brutalise mages – then he gets hauled off to prison (and no doubt subsequent execution), and nothing happens to the other mages. Once the Chantry blows up, he can’t lose. It doesn’t matter whether he lives or dies. It doesn’t matter whether Hawke saves the Circle or helps destroy it. The Templars do hold innocent mages accountable for something they had nothing to do with. The word goes out that the Annulment of the Kirkwall Circle was unjust. The Templars impose harsh restrictions on mages of other nations, who had even less to do with all this than the Kirkwall mages – and Fiona seizes her chance.

Point pretty well made.

Petrice, though, is trying to control people’s actions through fear. She is trying to make the people of Kirkwall think the Qunari are a terrifying threat, while still making them think they can take them in a fight. She is using fear to manipulate people, without any regard for the truth. By the time the Qunari uprising begins, Petrice is either dead or disgraced, making her a personal failure. But the uprising itself demonstrates how painfully wrong she was. A small, depleted Qunari force takes control of the city in a matter of hours. No fight, no war, with the Qunari is ever going to be easy – and one that started in Kirkwall would almost certainly result in the loss of the city. It turns out that the Qunari were easy prey for her before this because they didn't want to fight.

And that shreds her other argument. She has been depicting them as unthinking savages. Terrifying in their brutality, yes, but so inherently less than Chantry folk (specifically humans), that they cannot help but lose. But the truth is that they have thought about this. The Arishok has been trying to avoid bloodshed. The Qunari troops have resisted provocation to a heroic degree. The Qun is what it is, and certainly no better than the Chantry. But the Qunari – the horned people who make up the majority of its adherents – are not monsters, just people like any other. Big, strong people who could have wreaked havoc a hell of a lot earlier, had they not been trying to keep the peace.

It’s easy to make people afraid, particularly if you’re willing to lie and kill to do it. But if that’s all you’ve got to work with, you’re pretty well screwed. And, well, there you go. Terrorism. Inspiring fear in order to achieve political ends. That’s Act 2′s story.

Just saw a thing, “you Otayuri fans are desperate cause it's obvious it's going to be Milabek she (i suppose kubo or sayo) is hinting towards”. Sorry, i have nothing against Milabek, but how someone can say this? They have no interaction at all, the closest is that was said Mila MAY would crush on Otabek, and the translator itself said not to pay to much to it because it was very vague and didn't say anything about Otabek's opinion on this. If “she” is hinting towards something, it's to otayuri.

Hah! I was waiting for when someone would bring up Milabek.

I’ll try to reason from an objective perspective, though I do admit my vision can be tinted by wishful thinking. Here’s what I got:

People have been talking about Milabek because of this one comment Kubo made. Something like “There’s Victor and Yuuri, Yakov and Lilia might be getting back together, Mila is showing an interest in Otabek, so please don’t forget about poor Yurio.” If she is mentioning this, there must be a reason. We don’t know what kind of story she has in mind and can only guess.

What we are shown in the anime/ bonus material is the following: When Otabek is performing you can see Mila looking at him gleefully in admiration. (Sara too for that matter. Heck even Victor looks impressed.) What this tells us is that Otabek is canonically considered to be attractive and a skater to take note off. In the bonus material, Mila casually asks Yuri for Otabek’s email. You mention the translator said that line was vague, however, it’s still there

Just by that one line, you can say that yeah, Mila does take interest in Otabek. What does this mean for the story? First, like you mentioned, as far as we know this interest is one-sided. As viewers we are unaware if Otabek knows who Mila is, since they share no interaction, not even in the official art. Otabek does not actively interact with other skaters apart from Yuri and JJ. We know he is on friendly terms with Leo and possibly also Phichit, but this is all rather stated/implied than shown. What Otabek does now is reinforce Yuri’s story arch and the creators have set him up in a way that I think he will continue to do so. I think that whatever relationship Otabek will have with Yuri (whether romantic or platonic) will be of importance for Yuri’s character development.

If I apply the situation ‘Mila shows an interest in Otabek’ to the continuation of the story, I see the following happening: Yuri becomes jealous. I say this because now we are shown that Yuri is very clingy when it comes to his one friend. Try to imagine what would happen if he would feel threatened somehow by the prospect of losing that friend’s attention. Also consider that Victor has already done something similar. He has withdrawn his attention from Yuri and given it to Yuuri instead. What I feel is that despite this tough front Yuri puts up, he is actually afraid to get abandoned. He literally chases after people who leave him. So I think if he has this friend he now sees as belonging to him, he would feel very distraught if someone (unintentionally) tries to take him away from Yuri. This is definitely a good opportunity for character growth.

Consider Mila and Otabek themselves. Mila goes out of her way to help Yuri find this new friend of his. I think you very much get that ‘big sister’ vibe from her. (Some people even say that it would be because of this, that she would back off if she were to understand it’s hurting Yuri. I’m not going to state that, but it’s something to keep in mind.) Otabek is secretly super happy Yuri went looking for him and came to him for advice. This friendship has been in the making for five years. I think he would very much like to protect it.

If Mila continues to show a romantic interest in Otabek, I can mainly see how it would bring Otabek and Yuri even closer together, with Yuri vouching for Otabek’s attention.

Like I said before, the creators are now purposefully setting Yuri and Otabek up to be speculated about. It seems to me the ones who are desperate and oblivious are actually the people claiming Otayuri can’t be a thing.

Another reason to add how this whole plot was done horribly. It made her seem.. Not a great friend. She also said that she likes things the way they are to Feyre, she doesn't want to change things, it's comfortable for her (Az, her, Cass thing). I just.. Wish that all of this is different completely.

Right *rubs temples* we have finally reached a point I have been struggling with with this whole Mor…fiasco which is the tension between my desire to drag sjm through the mud for the way this was written…but also my intense desire to protect Mor’s choices as a queer character having agency with her own identity. This ask is going to be dedicated entirely to the latter (okay maybe not ENTIRELY but when I’m talking about  how Mor acted I’m going to do it in such a way that’s just ‘I wish all of this hasn’t happened how it did but it has and I’m working with what I’ve got here’) Clunky disclaimer out the way, let’s pick this apart…

Right, first off,I would like to point out that it’s canon that Mor did actually try to talk to Azriel about this after he found her in the Autumn Court. However he wasn’t really listening and was doing some babble-confessing of his own at the time and she panicked. She was seventeen years old and the boy who just saved her life, who she knew she couldn’t be with, tried to tell  her that he loved her and she had no idea what to do so she panicked. After that it’s not really surprising she struggled with trying to explain things to him.

Then  I think it’s important to remember a lot of things about the dynamic between Mor, Cass, Rhys and Az early on in the series when she knew Az and might have told him. So she’s only known Cassian and Azriel for two weeks when the whole Incident happens. The situation Mor is in is a  hell of a lot more complicated than ‘I slept with this one dude and this other dude loves me but I’m queer I’m not sure how to tell him’ (which is complicated enough in itself)

Mor owes her life to all three of them at this point. Azriel saved her from the Autumn Court. Cassian and Rhys got her out of the Court of Nightmares and then proceeded to keep her out. So not is she indebted to them for saving her she is also completely reliant on them for her freedom. At this point in the canon we’re dealing with an extremely vulnerable queer girl who has been brutalised beyond belief and has only just been able to get out of her abusive situation. If the relationship she has with Cass Az and Rhys deteriorates she has nowhere else to go but back to her emotionally abusive homophobic family.

Factor into that that she’s recently had sex with Cassian, largely because of Az and his jealousy over the two of them, and then walked away from that and the fact that she knows Azriel is in love with her but that she can’t reciprocate…I’m not surprised she’s terrified of telling them the truth. She’s grown up being told people like her are selfish and awful and that they should be forced into marriage and breeding regardless of how they feel about it, she probably believes that’s how Az and Cassian definitely, since she’s only known them about 3 weeks, will react to her. And Rhys grew up with them, they’re his brothers, she’s probably petrified of telling them the truth about her and having them all reject and abandon her which leaves her with nowhere to go but back to her father. I don’t blame her for not telling them.

Then the War happens and she’s away from them all for a while and falls in love with Andromache and she has to go through losing her (twice) completely alone because no-one knows and she can’t tell t hem. She says herself that there was no-one for a few decades and like..Those aren’t circumstances where I’d feel like adding a whole  heaping pile of angst on top when she still isn’t sure how the boys will react so she just bottles things up and hides them away again.

And then…Things settle out a little bit. The dynamic between her and Cass and Az finds something like what we see now, the three of them all tied together and loving each other just in different ways. And then she has to start trying to accept herself (Andromache was her first female lover and after that fell apart Mor was alone for decades, it’s hard to talk to people about something you barely understand or accept yourself)

She has to unlearn the vile homophobia that she grew up with, she has to coax herself into trying to be with a woman again after what happened before, she has to try and explore this part of herself without letting anyone know…That’s hard. And so she finds Velaris, she finds Rita’s and at last she has a little safe place, a place where she experiment and be herself and so she does.  But that’s a safe place, a place that’s just hers, a thing that’s just hers, that no-one has yet managed to take away from her or destroy, and she feels this desperate urge to keep it safe because it’s all that’s kept her from breaking at times, knowing that no-one has ever truly known her

All of this takes time. Mor is healing and I know she’s a strong, confident woman when we meet her in ACOMAF and she’s had while to process all of this but…Abuse and that sort of homophobia and the trauma she was subjected to on top of then losing the only person she’s ever truly loved…That takes a lot of healing, that takes a lot of time to slowly build up an identity and a self-worth and by the time that happens…She needs the people around her. She has a support system in place and she deeply loves all of them.

If she suddenly reveals that she’s queer that’s going to mess up her relationship with everyone in the Circle (except, perhaps, Amren) But everything will change and she’s only just managed to find herself and a place where she belongs and she has NEVER had that before. Cassian and Azriel both had difficult childhoods but they also both had Rhys and Rhys’ mother. Mor has not had a single positive, mutual, respectful relationship before Rhys, Cassian, Azriel and Amren. That is so fucking important for her recovery and her stability and I cannot find it in myself to shame her or hate her for wanting to keep that whole.

Not to mention the fact that she knows this will hurt Azriel. And she loves him. I don’t care what bullshit that coming out scene spouts about her not being able to love him ‘the way he deserves’ because of her sexuality (which I have issues with) because she loves this man in a very deep, unconditional way and this will hurt him and she can’t bear that.

So there are a lot of pressures surrounding her keeping her sexuality hidden. She’s petrified of her family, of the homophobia she grew up surrounded by and she wants to keep this one tiny piece of herself hidden from them, so they never truly know her and therefore can’t own or break her. She’s petrified of losing the Circle, who she owes her life, freedom, power and stability to, they’re her support system and the only truly positive relationships she’s ever known. of course she’s terrified of losing that? And she’s scared of hurting Azriel and wrecking her relationship with someone that she truly and genuinely loves, even if she doesn’t want to be with him romantically.

Also I think, when you mention that she didn’t have to come out to explain things to Azriel I think….In this case it’s complicated by them? She’s already walked away from him once while he was trying to tell her that he loved her…If she just goes to him and tells him that she can never ever be with him without the context of her sexuality…That’s going to ruin him? And she knows that. She knows how he sees himself and she’s probably terrified of offering up that rejection because the Circle is Az’s safe space and support network too and she loves him. She cannot just say ‘I don’t want you, I never will’ because then it will just…sound like he’s not good enough for her and he never will be? It’s going to sound like a ‘him’ problem than it just being the way that she is and she knows that would shatter him. (You can argue all you like that this is an Azriel problem and it’s not on her to fix or attend to his insecurities, and it’s not, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy for her to just shatter him like that? This is the reality of their situation)

Also, on the subject of her not wanting to change it…I want to make it clear that I don’t think this is actively good for her. Like, I’m sorry, but if you think that Azriel, a straight man, is suffering more for Mor not feeling like she’s able to come out, feeling ‘petrified’ of facing him with this, than she is…I don’t know what to say to you.

Being closeted is not fun. It’s not a little ‘straight passing’ card that you get to wave around so you can blend in with the normal people and not get noticed, it’s hard. It’s painful. It’s frightening. It’s constantly having to censor yourself whenever you’re talking to people, constantly worrying if they’ve figured it out even though you’re not ready, this constant paranoia and this guilt that builds up and the frustration and the hurt at not being able to be yourself.

This situation is harming more exponentially more than it is Az and when she says that she doesn’t want it to change that’s not her being selfish. at all.

(Especially when, as Mor told us herself in ACOMAF, she could peel her clothes off in front of Azriel and he wouldn’t move. He isn’t ready for this relationship anyway. He could have gone to her as well at any point in these 500 years and approached her about this and he hasn’t. Mor is not the only one maintaining this stasis between them and telling herself it’s ‘good enough’ this thing is mutual.

Azriel isn’t technically losing out on anything by this because he hasn’t tried to make a move or talk to her about it and isn’t ready for the relationship himself? Maybe he could have moved on if she’d given him a concrete no but like…After five hundred years…He could have damn well just decided to move on for himself, like I’m sorry. A man should not need a flat out rejection from a woman (which, you could argue that he’d gotten when she walked away from him when he told her he loved her) to move on with his life, okay.

He could have made that choice for himself she is not stopping him making that choice and she is not ‘stringing him along’ either, she isn’t hinting that oh maybe some day this might happen, not today but maybe tomorrow, she’s avoiding the subject and she has Cassian buffer them ffs to try and protect her from this. That’s not stringing him along, like, sorry)

“Whenever Azriel makes his feelings clear, like he did with Eris … It’s stupid, I know. It’s so stupid and cruel that I do this, but … I slept with Helion just to remind Azriel … Gods, I can’t even say it. It sounds even worse saying it.”

“To remind him that you’re not interested.”

“I should tell him. I need to tell him. Mother above, after last night, I should. But …” She twisted her mass of golden hair over a shoulder. “It’s gone on for so long. So long. I’m petrified to face him—to tell him he’s spent five hundred years pining for someone and something that won’t ever exist. The potential fallout … I like things the way they are. Even if I can’t … can’t really be me, I … things are good enough.

Right, regardless of how you personally view Mor’s sexuality (bi/gay/queer/whatever you wish) the fact of the matter is that, in canon, Feyre states THREE TIMES that Mor did not enjoy sleeping with Helion and that she got no pleasure out of it. She’s described as ‘pale and vacant’ the next day and during the coming out scene Feyre actually thinks of her as looking ‘tortured’ okay, she is not enjoying this. The fact of the matter is, Mor is repeatedly having sex with men…For Az. To keep him at a distance. This is…Like I’m sorry but if you can’t see how fucked up that is (for HER) I don’t know what to say to you. She’s repeatedly putting herself in sexual situations she may or may not want that she does not seem to enjoy…For Azriel.

She is suffering here, okay. She is closeted, that’s painful, that’s hard in itself but she also has this to deal with. Azriel’s affection has kept her closeted (in part) all these years and she is PETRIFIED of facing him with this?? How can this possibly be purely selfish on her part? How is she the only one getting flack for doing what she needs to do to keep herself safe

Especially when it’s hurting her like? ‘Good enough’ it’s just..It’s like Lucien’s situation in the Spring Court. That was ‘good enough’ for him, yes he was being abused  horrendously, no he didn’t have any real agency or power over himself or freedom or love or respect but it wasn’t the abusive shithole he was trapped in all those years so it was ‘good enough’.

That’s what this good enough is, okay. She cannot be herself. She cannot openly love who she wants to. She has to suffer heartache and grief alone and isolated because she can’t tell anyone how she feels. She is ‘petrified’ of facing Azriel. She is closeted and that hurts. She is also GUILTY AS FUCK. She’s doing all of this, hiding herself, hurting herself, sleeping with people she doesn’t get any pleasure out of, and has been doing this for five  hundred years and she still feels horrifically guilty about this. She’s said in that coming out scene too that she wants to be able to love Azriel the way he deserves but she can’t. She’s tried to change herself and has hidden herself and hurt herself all for this relationship that she doesn’t want, that makes her uncomfortable?

She likes things the way that they are  because these are the first people who accepted even a part of her. They love her and they respect her and they treat her with dignity and gave her basic fucking needs from a relationship and that is ‘good enough’ for her. Because she grew up with emotionally and physically abusive homophobic parents who accepted no part of her, who treated her like an animal, or worse, and then she found this…She found this love and respect and of course she doesn’t want to change it. Of course she doesn’t want to lose it. Of course she’s terrified of telling them and seeing that same hatred that lived in her parents’ eyes. Even if she knows it’s irrational that doesn’t matter. She’s a terrified queer abuse victim and she is suffering, she cannot be herself, but that’s good enough because what choice does she have, really?

Mor is a closeted, scared, vulnerable, abuse survivor who is petrified of losing the only safe space that she’s ever had just because of who she is. She is suffering 100 times more from this situation than Azriel or anyone else in the Circle. I will not sit here and call a queer character selfish or a bad friend or any of it for doing what she feels she has to to protect herself. Especially not when most of the things that she’s doing are more damaging for her than they are for anyone else. I love Azriel, I relate to his character a lot, but I’m not going to sit here and prop up this ‘oh no poor boy’ while Mor gets thrown under the bus because she is afraid.

Her identity is her own and this choice, revealing this part of herself to who she chooses, is one of the only pieces of ultimate agency that she has ever had. I won’t say she was wrong to keep it hidden, keep it safe, if that made her feel okay. Mor’s situation is not ‘good enough’, Mor’s situation is deplorable and painful and I refuse to call her selfish for maintaining something like this because she is absolutely terrified of the alternative.

Queer people have the right to be in the closet for as long as they need to be in order to feel safe. It is not for anyone else (especially not straight characters a la Feyre) to tell them when they should come out. They are not ‘liars’ for being closeted. They should not feel guilty for being closeted and keeping themselves safe. That’s a disgusting way of looking at things and it’s an incredibly damaging mentality to have.

‘Out and proud’ is great, okay, but it’s not possible for everyone. A queer person’s safety comes first and if they feel that they need to keep their sexuality hidden in order to do so that is their choice. And it is not up to anyone, especially those who have no way of understanding what this feels like, to judge them or shame them or guilt-trip for that. It’s not selfish to want to protect yourself and not risk ruining the relationships you have with those around you for the sake of telling them something they do not have a right to know unless you choose it.

In the end I will chose validating and defending a queer person’s decision to keep their identity hidden for their own personal reasons and safety over the feelings of anyone who feels like they might have been entitled to know this every. Single. Fucking. Time.

For @abloodneed, one of the most amazing, beautiful men alive. Thank you for always being you.

There were certain things that Magnus feared. The loss of a loved one—his mind flashed to quick strides, dark hair and hazel eyes—, the loss of a friend—his breath caught at the image of dark eyes, dark hair streaked with grey, twin horns, and skin grown cold—, and the loss of his children—the downworlders he’d taken underneath his wings. His fingers dug into the oak coffee table, scouring the wood as his mind supplied him with images of everyone of them that he’d lost. Drawing in breath was hard, like he was suffocating, a direct contradiction to the cool breeze wafting into the outdoor patio of the mundane bar he’d decided to visit. Sometimes, he just needed that time to himself, amongst the mundanes that entertained him with how they scurried about in their daily lives, unaware of the world that existed in the shadows.

He did just that at the moment, watching them go about their lives when suddenly, everything… froze. From the waiter who had been heading to his table, to the lovers celebrating their recent engagement. Even the late night dog walker and her dog were frozen in place, her with a hand halfway up her hair, and the dog with his tongue half pulled into his mouth. As he took in the the sight, everyone frozen as far as he could he could see, and as he heard those footsteps, calm and unhurried, that oozing mass of power that would cower a lesser man, have them scurrying away or bending their heads in submission, Magnus came face to face with his biggest fear.

“Drinking alone,” a voice he’d heard only once in his life and had hoped he would never hear again wafted out to him, moments before the owner of the voice slid into the seat across from him. White suit—expensive as expected, stretched over a tall lanky form. “Now that doesn’t suit you Magnus,” he drawled as he casually shrugged off the jacket, undid the diamond studded cufflinks so he could roll up his sleeves and show off his forearms. Long lean fingers reached up to run through hair that was kept in place by the crown of barbed wire on his head. He waved his hands and men—shapeshifting demons, Magnus was sure—who’d accompanied him all gave them a wide berth.

“And how would you know what suits or doesn’t suit me,” Magnus tossed back as he reached for his glass of bourbon. “You don’t know me.”

The man grinned, teeth sharp in the moonlight. “Now, now Magnus. Why would you say that? Is that how you speak to your father?”

Magnus raised a brow and took a sip of his bourbon, eyes hard as he stared back at Asmodeus.

What kind of girl they would date
  • This is my opinion, about what I feel they would find attractive traits in girls. You don't have to agree with this, this is just my personal opinion.
  • Harry potter: I think Harry would date someone who would be very understanding. She would give him space if he needed and will be a listening ear when he needs it. She will be someone that will always be there for him. I also think that she would be kind, maybe a Hufflepuff, yet very brave. She wouldn't be afraid to stand up for herself and the ones she loves. She would stand up for Harry, too, although he didn't need it.
  • Ron Weasley: I think Ron would date someone who was in Hufflepuff. I just think he needs someone who thinks he is just as important as Harry Potter. I think he needs someone who will support him and tell him how important he is to her personally. She would be kind, and smart but would rather spend her time outside in the sun than studying. She would be someone who enjoys the little things. I also think she would be on the sensitive side, wanting love and being afraid of rejection.
  • Draco Malfoy: I think Draco needs someone who is a really good listener and can deal with a lot of his problems and talk. I don't think she would be jealous. I do think she would be a Slytherin. They would fight a lot, just because she could be a bitch when she had enough. I think she would also not give in in just a few hours. I'm pretty sure they could have fights for days because they are both just very stubborn. I think she won't like Muggleborns, just like Draco. That would be one thing they had in common. i don't think she would hate on 'blood traitors' and not on the other Houses unless she had a good reason. She would also like Quidditch and only cheer for him.
  • Fred Weasley: Fred would date an extrovert, someone who loves to laugh and isn't shy. He would like someone who is bad at hiding how they feel, making them an open book. I think she would love to prank and barely ever gets jealous. She would, however be less understanding for his problems and would just laugh at him getting detention( unless with Umbridge, of course). I think that she would be very sarcastic and bubbly. She would have a lot of friends, guy friends, too. That was something Fred wouldn't like too much. I think she and her guy friends would often innocently flirt, making Fred angry and causing small fights. He knows she would never cheat, because one of her good traits is loyal, something I think Fred needs.
  • George Weasley: George, unlike his twin would date someone on the shy side. Not very shy, but more to herself, with less friends. She would be very kind and sweet. She would take her studies very seriously and in the beginning, she wouldn't like his pranks. She would grow into them and even covering for the twins. She would never be a part of them, however. She would like to just lay outside in the grass with George, and he would like that too. It would just be the two of them, kissing, hugging, laughing. She would be very funny, just not many people know that.
  • Neville Longbottom: Definitively a sweet girl. However, she won't be very shy, she would be more outspoken and not afraid to tell people what she thinks. She would listen to all of Neville's problems and when necessary, she would tell him to snap out of it and go o with his life.
  • Oliver Wood: I think Oliver would date someone who LOVES Quidditch. I guess everyone knew. She doesn't need to play it, but just loves it and never miss a match. If she plays, she would be just as competitive as Oliver and if in an other house, the two would definitively be very competitive, making bets and trying to get the most amount of people on their side. After for example, she loses, Oliver would rub it in her face before complementing her. I think he would be very sweet and caring, unless she said she will beat him in the next game, then he will go defensive. They would be very cute and as I like to put a stamp on everything, GOALS.
Scott McCall Imagine- Alpha Affliction

“I could have killed you” you heard from across the school. “But you didn’t- not like you could anyway” you scoffed. “For once, could you just admit that you screwed up?” he sighed. “For once, could you just except that you’ve been beaten?” you returned. “Who the hell are you talking to Y/L/N?” coach asked, breaking you out of your werewolf hearing. “Christ, no need to shout” you whined, holding your head due to how loud he sounded. “Language! Don’t make me give you detention on a Monday morning” he yelled, already walking off to go and scold Greenburg, for something petty most likely. You opened your locker door and grabbed your books, you smirked into it after sensing someone familiar. You slammed it shut and the person standing behind it barely waited a second before beginning to grill you. “What on earth were you thinking? I’ll tell you what, you wasn't” he lectured. “Stiles, I’ve literally just gone through this with McCall” you rolled your eyes. “We both know he has a soft spot for you, but I’m telling you, stop messing with his head!” he warned, using unneeded hand gestures. “No one got hurt!” you stated. “But they could have” he issued. “But they didn't” you growled, letting your eyes flicker red for a brief second. There may have been a slight run in with yours and Scott’s pack, that turned a bit sour last night, but it turned out alright in the end. “Someone’s going to get hurt if you carry on the way you are with Scott” he told. “Are you threatening me Stilinski?” you asked, smirking with amusement. “No, but I am warning you, the worst thing you could do is break his heart. You know what happened to him in the past, if you’re looking for a weak spot, pick anything but that” he said, before walking off down the hallway. You stood there for a second and dropped your head, knowing exactly what he was talking about.

But things weren’t always like this. You didn’t ask to be an alpha and by no means did you intentionally kill someone for it. You used to be happy, you belonged to your older sister’s pack- a peaceful pack. When the Darach showered up, she needed to get your pack out of the way,  because your sister was too close to revealing Jennifer Blake for what she was. Most of you died, but you managed to survive. You had to stand and watch as the members of the pack you grew up in, screamed in agony at the wolfs bane, that made its way around their bloodstreams. You knelt beside your sister, it was the only time you had seen her cry. You took as much of her pain as you could, but there was no hope. You closed your eyes and allowed your sobs to be muffled by your hand that covered your mouth. “Please- It hurts” she begged. “I cant” you said, shaking your head as tears fell from your cheeks. “Please” she begged once more. You couldn’t watch her struggle for breath, when she had been so powerful in life. The one person you didn’t want to lose- was now begging for you to end her life. You cradled her motionless body in your arms, feeling the pain she felt. “I’m sorry” you whispered, before taking her life in one brisk movement. You screamed and sobbed for hours afterwards, until the remaining pack members had to pry you off of her body. You hated your red eyes, but hated the blue that hid under them even more. You lost you sister- your best friend that day. But you couldn’t grieve forever, with your remaining strength you held the pack together until it grew in size and power. However, what happened that day changed you. Your personality included, you could tell people missed the old you, in fact you did too but some things are unavoidable in life, and this was one of them.

“I’ll see you later” you said to one of your pack members, before you went your separate ways. You checked the time on your phone, it was half nine and you had only just left school. Long story short, you had been on alpha duty all day, trying to prevent your pack from killing Scott’s. You even had to stay and wait for Lacrosse practice to finish, because of a few of them being on the same team as the others. You put your phone in your back pocket and crossed your arms to try and preserve a little more heat because you had a long walk home and only a thin leather jacket on, wolf heat or not it was absolutely freezing out. You walked for about ten minutes until you let out a loud sigh in frustration. “Are you still not done following me Scott?” you shouted, proceeding to walk. All of a sudden you felt someone next to you. “How did you know?” he asked, in both curiously and embarrassment. You simply glowed your eyes red at him, surely he knew you’d be able to smell his scent and hear his heartbeat, considering you’re a werewolf and all. “Oh right” he mumbled as your eyes faded back to their usual colour. “So are you going to tell me why you’re stalking me?” you asked, tilting your head. “I wouldn’t call it stalking” he said, rubbing the back of his neck. “I’m pretty sure that’s what the Sheriffs Department would call it, oh wait it doesn’t actually matter, I’m sure your father in law will let you off with it” you said incredibly sarcastically. “How many times do I have to tell you? Stiles is not my overprotective boyfriend!” he raised his voice, meaning it echoed through the empty streets. You stared at him, trying to keep a straight face after hearing him sound like a seven year old boy. It didn’t last long until you both burst out laughing at the same time. “Woah, has the ice queen melted?” he asked, referring to how he’d only ever seen you scoff and smirk bitchily after becoming an alpha. “Not quite” you said shortly, as both of your laughs came to a stop. “No seriously though, why are you following me?” you questioned, killing the somewhat friendly mood in seconds. “And there she is” he mumbled. You simply raised your eyebrows, waiting for an answer. “Stiles thinks you’re up to something and I came to find out what” he accidently told. “Figures it would be him, he hates me” you whined. “Why would you think that?” he asked, putting his hands in his jacket pockets. You just gave him a blank expression, followed by an eye roll, Stiles made his dislike pretty obvious. “I’m sure if he got to know you more, he’d change his mind” he tried to convince. “I’ve known you all for most of my life; you, Stiles, Lydia and I’ve met you all across the years, Kira, Malia, Liam - Allison” your voice cracked on the final name. “ I mean the new you, you’ve changed and it’s something that needs to be accepted, rather than ignored” he tried to sympathise. “Don’t try to understand Scott, you have no idea what it’s like” you claimed, stopping still. “My first love died in my arms, because I dragged everyone into the supernatural world. I did that, me!” he also stopped and raised his voice, in built up emotion rather than anger. “I had to kill my own sister Scott, it isn’t a competition of who’s life is the shittest!” you matched his volume. “But look at yourself, you’re too busy hating the world for what its done to you, that you didn’t realise, and still don’t realise that all we’ve ever tried to do is help you” he ranted. “I have no one Scott. All I had was her and when she died, she took a part of me, a part I’ll never get back- and no one was truly there for me when I was hurting, I still am hurting.  So forgive me, for not being the optimistic idiot I used to be” you retort. “You pushed us away, we tried to help you but you wouldn’t let us. Look, I’m sorry about your sister and I wished we could of helped you- but you cant carry on like this”  he said, a lot softer. “Carry on like what?” your volume remained loud and aggressive. “You cant carry on being a temperamental physco- like a ticking time-bomb” he regretted saying it, the second he finished speaking. “Watch me” you replied laconically. You proceeded to walk off, before Scott saw the tears that welled up in your eyes.

“I’m going to kill him” you growled, eyes glowing red. “Who?” one of your pack members asked, slightly amused. You weren’t the only one to change that day, your peaceful pack became one of challenge, confrontation and one to be feared. You weren’t psychotic murderers, but by no means were you all innocent. You paced back and forth, In the apartment building that you shared with most of your pack. “Scott McCall” you claimed, through gritted teeth. “Do it” another spoke, biting into an apple. “No one is killing anyone” another stated rationally. “What did he even do?” someone asked. You stopped still for a second and actually thought about it, putting your anger aside. You thought about the past, you remembered everything that had faded from your memory, due to your hatred and hurt clouding your vision. Scott watched one of his closest friends change into a dark and manipulative Alpha. He knew you were just trying to protect and build a pack, but he knew that you were losing yourself along the way. You remember ignoring Stiles’ calls, skipping lunches with Lydia, pretending not to see Allison in the street and you remembered telling Scott that you never wanted to speak to him again. Telling Stiles that you weren’t interested in his dumb plans anymore, telling Lydia that you didn’t care about her pointless guy stories, telling Allison that you needed time for yourself. You did push them away. You were hurting, but you were also hurting them. It was too late to apologise to Allison, to tell her that you needed her, to say goodbye- but it wasn’t too late for the others. “Omg” you mumbled, at your sudden realisation. “What?” one of your member’s asked. “Excuse me” you simply replied, pushing past them and through the front door.

You stretched out your knuckles, as though you were going to knock on the door but then quickly moved your hand away again. You had been pacing back and forth, outside of Scott’s house for about ten minutes. You just didn’t quite know what you were going to say, or why you were even there. You then decided to live by the 5 second life rule, so you quickly knocked on the door and waited nervously for what was next. When you didn’t receive a response, you figured it was late and he may have been asleep or with his Pack. You placed your weight on the door, to focus your hearing on his house, just to check if he was ignoring you. That was when the door swung open and you fell into his house. “Ouch” you mumbled, not expecting it. You looked, expecting to see Scott with a confused expression on his face, when you were met with nothing. Why would Scott, a true alpha leave his door unlocked? You stood up and brushed yourself off, before slowly walking around his house. You figured you might as well wait for him, considering you were already there and all. You reminisced, looking at the house that was once familiar to you. You stood in the doorframe of his kitchen, when you heard a heartbeat approach the front door. They stopped, before hesitantly pushing the door open. You were met by Scott, his eyes glowing red and his fangs retracted. You simply switched the light switch beside you on, and smirked to yourself. “What the hell Y/n?” he asked in surprise, his face returning to normal. “Hey Scotty” you smiled, it was what you used to call him when you were younger. He looked at you hesitantly, not sure if you were plotting your revenge from your altercation earlier. “God Scott, don’t look so on edge” you sighed. He threw his motorbike key on the side of the couch and took his jacket off. “What can I help you with?” he asked, uncertain. “I just wanted to say that I’m sorry” you said reluctantly, but honestly. Scott flashed a non-intentional smile- he was smug. Who would have thought that you would have been the one to back down from your stupid feud. “I accept your apology” he simply returned. “What? Just like that?” you asked, not sure as to what the catch was. “Y/n, I’ve always been here for you and I always will. I was just waiting for you to finally realise that” he spoke softly, taking a step closer to you. You stood up, no longer leaning your weight against the doorframe. “I shouldn’t have treated you all like shit, especially not you” you dropped your head. Scott delicately brought your head back up. “It’s okay to be hurt Y/n, but you need your friends. Lydia, Stiles-” he began to list off. “And you” you finished for him, staring into his kind brown eyes. “Yeah-” he simply whispered, and with that he leant down and pressed his lips to yours. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him tightly against you. You were now leaning the back on the doorframe, as he deepened the kiss. You were that lost in the moment, that neither of you heard the front door open. “Finally” Lydia accidently praised out loud, immediately covering her mouth afterwards. You and Scott slowly broke away, smiling at one another. You then both proceeded to turn to look at the full living room, both giving a small laugh of embarrassment. “That was hot” Malia approved. You looked at them all awkwardly, it was the first time you had been together with everyone like this. Malia and Kira were smiling, you didn’t know them that well but you knew you would instantly get along with them. As much as you neglected Lydia, she still stood there with pride and a beaming smile at the thought of her two best friends together. Liam looked more awkward than you, but you could already tell that he was sweet and someone you wanted to protect at all costs. You then glanced to the back of them, seeing Stiles with a straight look on his face. Your smile dropped as he approached the two of you slowly. “We’re having our weekly Pack Pizza Party, would you be interested in joining us?” he asked excitedly, with a genuine smile on his face. You relaxed and returned it, pulling him into a long awaited hug. “Ill take that as a yes” he laughed brightly, issuing to Lydia who was about to call and order them. She didn’t even have to ask for your order, it was as if you had never left them. Your friends then continued to start setting up the movie, drinks, blankets and snacks for you all. You walked over to Scott, with a sweet smile formed on your lips. He put his arm around your shoulder and pulled you close to him. “I missed this” you breathed. “We missed you” he replied, kissing you on your forehead. Although some of the members had changed, the friendship and love that kept you all together was still the same. You wanted to protect your pack, but it was time to put yourself first for once too. No more fighting, no more rivalry. It was time to focus on the new chapter in your life, which had a much brighter outcome.

Keith’s heritage, Lotor’s affiliation with the Galra, the previous Red Paladin & Shiro’s escape

It’s been two months since Season 2 came out (Two months! Five more to go!) and I’ve finally gathered enough evidence for another one of my shitty theories. Get something to drink, make yourself comfortable, and listen to me ramble about Voltron for a while.

Before we get to the cool conspiracy theories though, let’s list some short speculations about the person in the Weblum.

First, take a good look at Mystery Person’s fighter jet:

That thing was tangled up there for a long ass time. Not long enough to lose all of it’s power though; the lights are working, so its main power source seems to be intact. After all - it still served as a bomb and bought Keith and MP precious time. (Keep this in mind, we’ll need it later)

I’ve seen a lot of people point out that MP’s outfit design and colour scheme resemble that of a villain’s, and some have speculated that the person might be Lotor.

MP is slightly taller than Keith, but shorter than the Galra we’ve seen so far. If Lotor remains half Galra/half Altean like in the original, he could very well be shorter than the average Galra. It’s plausible.

I’ve already pointed out in this post (x) that Altean magic can convert scaultrite energy into usable fuel. Surely Haggar can do it. MP took some scaultrite with them, which means they know someone who can make use of it.

In order to know them, though, they’d have to have been alive when Zarkon attacked Altea, and who’s to say that Haggar wasn’t the only one to side with the “enemy”?

That crest on MP’s suit, we’ve seen it before. In the very first episode, actually, when the paladins infiltrated Sendak’s ship to get the Red lion:

…and Keith seemed to recognise it from somewhere. I’m not saying he knows where exactly it’s from - but when you think about it, there could very well be a connection between MP and the Red Lion.

What does this tell us? Well, there are several options:

  • a.) The person in the Weblum is, in fact, Lotor, who was supposed to pilot the Red Lion. It would only make sense if Zarkon had trained him to be a paladin. The Galra were looking for the other lions, and assuming Zarkon was going to pilot Black like he used to - he’d still need four other paladins. But when Lotor went missing, Zarkon didn’t bother to rescue him because the new paladins had stolen the Red lion. Lotor wasn’t needed anymore.
  • b.) A random alien, possibly the original Red Paladin. Maybe King Alfor or another Altean. Alfor’s last words to Allura were “If all goes well, I’ll see you soon.” and I highly doubt that Zarkon wiped out the entire Altean race. Allura and Coran are still alive, yes - but so is Haggar, and possibly other Alteans that allied with the Galra before their planet was destroyed - if it was destroyed at all. We’ve seen the remaining pieces of Planet Galra in S2E7, but we don’t know what happened to Altea. I’m saying it’s possible that the Alteans had something to do with the destruction of the Galra’s home planet (if you think this is a Reach™, check out this post: x) and practically forced Zarkon to attack them, sparking his determination to “wipe out the foul [Altean] race”.
  • c.) Keith’s mother. Remember how Keith’s dad said “Your mother will be here soon” before the screen cuts to a frame of the Red Lion?
  • Maybe Keith’s mother used to pilot Red before the Galra got their hands on the lion. Maybe, just maybe, she left something other than her Blade on Earth - something that triggered Keith’s memory when he was looking at the symbol on Sendak’s ship.

We know that she was affiliated with the Blade of Marmora, obviously. And in episode 12, right before Thace blows up the main engine of Zarkon’s ship, we get this moment:

Sound familiar?

The writers were obviously trying to put emphasis on the connection between Thace and the person in the Weblum. I’m not saying they’re the same person, but rather that MP is affiliated with the Blade of Marmora somehow.

Something that’s been bothering me about Keith’s BOM hallucination - besides the Red Lion’s presence - is the panel of an army of sentries, backed up by a Galra ship.

It’s directly tied to Shiro’s abduction and escape. I’m wondering why Shiro, Matt and Sam Holt were taken as prisoners. How would the Galra profit from taking three small humans captive when there’s an entire populated planet in the same solar system?

The Blue Lion was there. The Area 51 dude in “Space Mall” has been to Earth. So has Keith’s mom. And when Keith asked Coran if a Galra had piloted the Blue Lion, Lance barged in.
Keith never got an answer.

Why is Shiro’s abduction the point, though? Well. I can’t think of a reason why the Galra wouldn’t bother to pay planet earth a visit. It just doesn’t make sense, especially since Shiro proved himself to be a valuable fighter.

Unless, of course, Keith’s hallucination was someone else’s memory. Unless the Red lion was trying to tell him that Earth doesn’t need protection from the Galra.

Because they’ve already conquered it.

pplwkp-deactivated20170512  asked:

Hi, you replied to my ask about Leia and Bail a while back, and I was wondering if you could help me again? I thought all the while that Anakin killed Padmé, but my friend pointed out today that she lived for a moment after he choked her. I asked this elsewhere and somebody said Palpatine may have killed Padmé`? do you know? thank you!

Okay so there’s no Real Answer for this, unfortunately. (Why? My money is on bad writing and bad directing that didn’t get the point that Lucas was trying to make across to the audience.) Also unfortunately, we don’t have a whole lot of evidence, frankly, because what happens is a little bit…wishy washy. This, however is what we do know:

1) Padme was still alive after Anakin choked her. he knocked her unconscious, but she was still alive when Obi-Wan goes to check on her, and then again later on the ship and at Polis Massa (the asteroid base where the twins are born)

2) Padme stays alive long enough to give birth to Luke and Leia

3) the droid that goes to tell Obi-Wan, Bail, and Yoda that Padme is dying says that it has no idea why Padme is dying–that she seems to just have lost the will to live

4) at the same time as Padme is giving birth to the twins, Anakin is being operated on

Okay so, why do I make those four points specifically?

Because I actually agree with the other person you asked: I personally think that it was Palpatine who killed Padme. why do I think this?

Well, as we established, Padme is still alive after Anakin attacks her. This fuels into Anakin’s confusion and sense of betrayal after he wakes up post-suit. “But I felt her,” he says to Palpatine. He felt that she was still alive at that point–and yet Palpatine convinces him that he had, in fact, killed her in his anger.

It was, ironically, actually Palpatine’s insistence that Anakin had killed her, and his confidence in Padme’s death, that convinced me that it was Palpatine who killed her.

We know a few other things as well:

1) droids cannot feel the Force

2) Palpatine claims, at least, to have mastered the ability to control life

3) by all rights, Anakin Skywalker should have died. three of his four limbs were severed, he had third degree burns on like 100% of his remaining body, and his lungs were irreparably damaged by ash, fire, and smoke

4) it seems vastly out of character for Padme “I saved my planet from an invasion at age 14″ Amidala to just…”lose the will to live” because the man she loved went Dark Side

So here’s my proposition:

Palpatine wasn’t actually entirely lying to Anakin when he said he could manipulate life and death. Because he actually can. but the thing is, you can’t just…create life willy nilly. Instead, in order to give life, what if you have to take that life from somewhere else? Thus, instead of creating life, it’s more like…siphoning off life, or reapportioning it to someone else?

Thus, when Palpatine was faced with the prospect of losing his apprentice, he did the only thing he could have (would have) done–he gave Anakin the life he needed in order to survive his wounds. and he did this by taking Padme’s life–which was, quite likely I think, bound to Anakin’s via the Force, via both love and intimacy–and giving it to Anakin. To the droid examining Padme, who could not feel the Force, it would seem that Padme had just lost the will to live–because it couldn’t see any reason for her life to just, inexplicably, be draining away.

This also cements Palpatine’s assurance to Anakin that Padme is dead, however. Because how did Palpatine know, with absolute certainty, that Padme was dead, unless he had felt her die? To make such a strong statement claiming that Padme was dead if he didn’t actually know that, with absolute certainty, would have been incredibly dangerous for him. because what if he had made that claim, and then Padme showed up like six years later? The final act which had bound Anakin in complete subservience to him would have been shown to be a lie, and I bet you Anakin’s loyalty would have fractured at that. I mean, Anakin’s loyalty fractures when he finds out that Palpatine lied about his child being born. And it’s ultimately that child(ren) which brings him to kill Palpatine. I bet you it would have been the same, if not even more immediate, if Anakin found out that Palpatine had lied about Padme. And I bet you Palpatine knew that too.

So Palpatine would have had to know that Padme was 100% dead in order to so certainly make the claim he did. And…well, how else would he have known, with absolute certainty, unless he’d had a hand in killing her?

This option also gives Padme much more agency, too, and I feel like it lines up with her character much better. Because now, instead of being reactionary and passive in the affair, and just…giving up on life because Anakin went to the Dark Side and betrayed her, we have a woman who held onto life with tooth and nail long enough to give birth to and name her children. Now we have a woman who fought the darkness with her last breath, and with her last breath gave hope to the galaxy, even as her light was being taken to feed the darkness.

And that not only fits her character better, but I also feel like is so, so much more tragic–on every side. On Anakin’s side, who is convinced by the man who actually murdered her, that he killed the woman he loved. On Padme’s side, who was stripped of her life and her hope, but with her last strength and last resolve brought the new hope into the world. And even on Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Bail’s side, who thought that their friend had died for nothing, and who will mourn her for her weakness, and who will never know that perhaps the greatest battle against the Dark Side was fought and won–because it was from Padme, and from that final battle, that Light was born again–by her in those last moments.

anonymous asked:

For all the S and M boys what if their s/o who used to be very bouncy and just did what ever they want suddenly stopped after they had punished them terribly. She didn't speak unless spoken to and didn't do anything without their permission. But after a while they realize how much they were very much in love with how bouncy she was, even if she did anger them a lot. Would they regret what they had done? Would they try to get her back to normal? Would they apologize?

That’s a creative one♡

Shu: Shu would probably regret what he did yes. People usually think that because of his attitude that he really wouldn’t like his S/O to be all happy and extroverted, but on the contrary. To me Shu acts like someone who suffers from depression. You know, no longer having joy in the things they do etc. So to have his s/o suddenly become quiet and more hesitant with their choices would cause him to be upset. For once he would actually get up and confront his s/o about. It might take some time but he will end up apologizing I believe. He misses his s/o bubbly personality and actually regrets hurting you.

Reiji: Reiji is a different story…It takes a lot to prove him wrong in his eyes. The fact that you’re finally doing as you’re told is quite satisfying. From time to time he might be a tiny bit remorseful because you somewhat resemble a maid now and not his s/o, but since Reiji can be so stubborn he would refuse to see himself in the wrong. But like Shu he will come to realize that he liked it better when he constantly had to ‘teach you a lesson,’ and put you in your place. So it’s sort of an in between with him, but yes I think he would regret it, but no you would not hear an apology.

Ayato: I don’t think he realized he hurt you until later on. He’s pretty oblivious to how others feel sometimes. Because of his egotistical nature he wouldn’t be wary of the insults he would utter needlessly to you. But I believe he would realize his wrong doing and try his best to make up for it by doing small things. He probably won’t apologize though, but he will, of course, try to be better.

Kanato: Not going to sugar coat it, he would definitely not feel sorry. You did something wrong and you deserved the Consequences that he bestowed upon you. Simple as that. The fact that you are acting like the doll you should have makes him happy.

Laito: He, at first, may find your submissive attitude pleasing, but he does miss those times you would struggle and yell at him. He loved it better when you were yourself not the robot type you are now. So yes he does regret it, and he will try everything to get you back to your jovial self. Even though it’s for selfish reasons he really does miss the old you.

Subaru: This male wouldn’t care too much at first. He hurts everything he touches, as he puts it, so that’s nothing new. But as time goes on he would began to regret it. Subaru would probably beat himself up for making such a mistake. You’re his lover and still messed up. So yes, he would try to fix it. No matter how long it takes.

Mukami Brothers

Ruki: Just like Reiji, Ruki wouldn’t be able to see his wrong doing. Since he was young he has been hurting others without sympathy so it was no surprise when he ignored your cries and please. Even when you started acted as you are now he felt no remorse. Ruki was actually happy that you finally learned your place. From time to time he might mention about how you changed your behavior. But it usually ended with him saying something between the lines of “I’ve should have punished you like this a long time ago.” No, he would not apologize….

Kou: If he hurt you it was probably because a button was pushed. Kou Is very two faced, so I’m sure he would not regret what he did to you either. But I’m sure he’d miss his happy s/o who would cheer for him and encourage him even when he was being rude to her. Again he would only try to get you back to normal for selfish reasons, but at least he’s not leaving you like that. I don’t think he would apologize because he knows this may happen again.

Yuma: No, not really. That doesn’t bother him too much. Yuma can be pretty rough, and very rude so he wouldn’t really see what he did to you as bad. He’s happy that you finally do as he said though. No back talk whatsoever. But sometimes he does miss those days you would happily help with his garden, or just simply hug him. Yuma doesn’t want to lose anyone else that is important  to him, so he would apologize to get you back. I don’t think he’d feel bad though. He just didn’t like the new attitude you were presenting him.

Azusa: I don’t think he can tell the difference when it comes to hurting you. To him pleasure comes pain and vise versa, so your broken like attitude wouldn’t faze him. Azusa would probably treat you the same way. Hugging you, and kissing you, etc. But he really wouldn’t have any problem with how you are now. He probably believes that you felt so good from the ‘pleasure’ he gave you that you can’t help yourself. Azusa might be a little disappointed when you don’t act a certain way when he does stuff to you, but I don’t think he would understand that it was because of how you were treated.

(Sorry if this seems kind of rushed. I got stuck a few times^^; anyway I hope this is what you meant thanks a lot for asking)

A Word To The Sherlock Fandom

Over the past two weeks I have read some truly angry pieces by a very upset Sherlock fandom. Usually, I would counter this with lots of Moffat praise and wait for the wave of anger to subside. But this time, it has become a matter of showing respect to the LGBT+ community. So for once, I am going to address the issue before I move on with my usual blogging routine.

For Those Who Don’t Know What The Anger Is About…

In a nutshell, what it boils down to is that the episode The Final Problem gave its viewers the impression that the show might be over for good. And if that really were the case, it would mean the relationship between Sherlock and John would never have become canon. And the hints that were planted throughout the show would have been all in our heads.

Now let me start by making my position on the matter clear: I firmly believe in a romantic relationship between Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. I believe in it when watching the BBC series, I believe in it when reading the original books, I believe in it even after having watched The Final Problem. I believe.

I also strongly believe that Gatiss and Moffat have actually read the books and that they cannot possibly have overlooked all the subtext that hints towards a John-Sherlock relationship. And finally, I firmly believe that the writers have every intention to include this relationship in the show, if they get the chance…

When I thought Madi was gone. I saw–for the first time I saw the world through your eyes. A world in which there is nothing left to lose. I felt the need to make sense of the loss. To impart meaning to it…whatever the cost. To exalt her memory with battles and victories. But beneath all of that, I recognized the other thing, hiding in the spaces. The ones whose shape you first showed me. And when asked, it was honest about the role it wanted to play. It was rage. And it wanted to see the world burn.

if this isn't love, then what is?
  • stefan salvatore:
  • she's the love of my life, i'd go back to her in a heart beat.
  • if it were my choice, i'd want to be with you forever
  • if it meant i got to be with her, have children, grow old with her.. if it meant we'd die together, be buried together then yes. i would take the cure
  • i would never hurt you, you're safe with me
  • when you and i were together every single atom in my body told me that it was the right thing. that we were the perfect fit.
  • actually i don't pretend to be anything when i'm with her. that's the whole point. i just get to be myself.
  • but you know, the life that we had, it was amazing too. and it wasn't a spell or a prophecy, it was real. we fell in love on our own.
  • you know, this is a future memory. it's where your boyfriend whispered to you that he loved you. i love you.
  • how do i not remember you? i mean you're smart, you're pretty, you're funny. obviously you're the strongest woman in the world.
  • every time that i tell myself that i'm moving on, there's this part of me that just can't seem to shake her.
  • i was a better person when i was with her. i didn't think i'd ever feel that way again. until elena.
  • i love you. i will always love you.
  • i love you so much.
  • i'm simply not able to resist her.
  • elena is warm and she's kind and she's selfless and it's real. when i'm around her i completely forget what i am.
  • elena gilbert:
  • i love him damon. no matter what i feel for you i never unfell for him.
  • no! you don't get to make that decision for me. if you walk away, it's for you because i know what i want. stefan i love you.
  • for once i don't regret the day before it begins. because i know i'll see him again.
  • but i love stefan, it's always going to be stefan.
  • it's you and me stefan, always.
  • i thought i couldn't be with you stefan but i can. you don't have to push me away. i can do this.
  • but i love you stefan. I love you stefan, you.
  • i cant lose the way i feel about you.
  • i dont want us to be apart anymore, ever.
  • stefan, my wrist. here. take my wrist. you need more blood. i trust you.
  • i cant lose the way i feel about you.
  • i love him damon. he came into my life when i needed someone and i fell for him instantly.

  • i love you stefan. hold on to that. never let that go.
  • other tvd characters:
  • katherine: you'd never look at me the way you look at elena, would you?
  • klaus: now this is fascinating i've never seen this before. the only thing stronger than your craving for blood is your love for this one girl.
  • klaus: and that's why you're her better option. i personally think she's wasting her time with damon.
  • rebekah: i envy that. you and elena. i envy the love you have.
  • klaus: well crazy or not that kind of love never dies.
  • caroline: i'm sorry but stefan is your epic love. and i'm not going down without a fight.
  • rose: stefan is different. his love is pure, he'll always be good for him.
  • klaus: personally i don't see a fairytale ending for you. all i see is stefan and elena.
  • klaus: must be hard trying to live up to stefan. he stopped himself when i compelled him to feed on elena. that's love.
  • lexi: when it's real you cant walk away.
  • caroline: you and her - epic. her and damon? ew
  • gloria: there's this girl with a necklace. you love her. you'd do anything for her.
  • damon: you're still wearing this necklace. isn't that a reminder of your unbreakable bond with stefan?

Can i ask ur thoughts on the scene between len and flash at argus? Where barry was holding onto len as king shark was trying to pull him back into the cell? I loved that scene. They've come so far from 1x04. I loved how len invited himself to the westallen wedding too.

I thought the entire scene at ARGUS was really fascinating, to be honest. I think there’s a lot that we can clean from it, including how fascinating it is that once they made it past the main guards, Len was so good at getting them to the basement that the show didn’t even see fit to actually, well, show the process of getting down there.

It’s possible they used the facial transmorgrifying to get past any guards, because no one internally is gonna question Lyla once she’s past clearance, I imagine, and they can use her retinal and bio scans to get through most parts or turn off half of their issues, and we’ve seen the cold gun take out lasers.

But still, the whole damn thing goes so smooth until they’re down there. And then there’s King Shark, and Barry being ready to kill him, and Len being unimpressed with that. And it’s not like Len’s unwilling to kill, we know he’s more than willing to, but he clearly holds other people to different standards.

I’ve talked about that before, a bit, why he would maybe hold Barry to a different standard, with the upshot being that the guy who inspired him not to kill and to find better methods isn’t allowed to toss that dedicated out the window now, especially not when he’s asking Len for help.

But anyway, things are going relatively well until the alarm goes off, and then Len gets stuck inside. And it’s neat, he half-expects Barry to ditch him, I think, based on the way he calls Barry’s name as soon as the door closes, separating them.

He switches quick into egging Barry on, reminding him he has to leave in under two minutes, but it’s some reverse-psychology. “This is your chance to show how ruthless you really are” because of course, Barry doesn’t want to be ruthless. Not the Barry that Len knew, at least. Is capable of it? Sure. But doesn’t want it. Doesn’t want to have to be.

And of course, Barry doesn’t disappoint. It’s Barry. No matter the consequences, he has honor, and he’s not about to throw someone under the bus and leave them behind when he’s responsible for them.

It’s interesting too though. Think back to the first trip to E2, with Jay stuck in another cage. Barry could’ve phased through the glass to get Jay out, but didn’t have the energy left, and Zoom was coming, so he left. There were other lives to protect, his friends, but he left Jay behind with the promise that he’d return.

He had reason to believe Jay’s life wasn’t in immediate danger, and he didn’t know Jay yet, but still, it bears comparing.

Because if the guards arrive in the next minute, Len’s probably not going to turn into shark food. Him dying here would seriously screw up time considering he’s supposed to die a hero with the Legends, but Barry also has other lives he has to think about here, and getting caught up in ARGUS stuff and losing the power source would devastate his chances for saving Iris.

But even now, at the “ruthless” end of his rope, Barry doesn’t seem to even consider bolting. Maybe he considers it, but dismisses it immediately. He’s not leaving Leonard behind.

And then the un-hackable door magically becomes hackable (likely because of Len’s tampering with it) and Barry urges Len to get out of there, only for him to get caught by King Shark at the last second. And then we get this.

(he keeps saying “I got you” it kills me, just the reassurance that he’s not letting Len go no matter what)

Barry doesn’t hesitate to dive for him. In the space of a second, he goes from urging Len on under the door to launching himself forward, grabbing Len’s hand and pulling, definitely not letting him go.

And you know something neat about this? Other than implied off-screen speed-running-carrying (since Barry had to get Len to 2017 somehow), the last time we saw them physically touch on screen was when Barry had Len pressed up to the mantle in 2x09? Barry has gone from physically pushing Len as a threat to physically pulling him to save him in the space of a single interaction, really.

I’m not sure what more you want me to say, except that it seems that every time these two work together, one of them gets the other into a pinch but ends up saving them (happens in 1x22, 2x03, and now here in 3x22). Their tally sheet must look like a messy with all the “you helped me, I saved your life, you saved my life, I helped you” back and forth they do. No wonder they seem to have simply thrown out their attempts to keep score.
