A cliff note version of Reimu’s “canon” DPOE timeline. I’ll expand on things, write drabbles, move things around, ect. eventually, but with all the info out here we go kids, the:
“How the Hell Did Reimu End Up In This Mess In the First Place ???”

Post.

 – Gensokyo is a land of Fantasy. A “Paradise for Both Humans and Youkai", a realm which does not really exist, at least not in a logical way humans can truly comprehend. It is not unlike Wonderland, a separate realm connected to this world ( the Outside World, the real world, the world of humans, OUR world ) and can only be entered by very specific means.
– Reimu Hakurei is the Shrine Maiden of this land, and she will do anything to protect it. For it is her job to maintain its delicate balance. The Outside World and their going ons is NOT her problem, she is GENSOKYO’S shrine maiden first and foremost.
– But still, Gensokyo is reliant on the continued existence of the world outside it’s Illusionary Boundary; Fantasy can’t exist without Reality; if the world outside where to be destroyed, Gensokyo would fall with it.
Yukari Yakumo ( @deadlyfantasia ) is a powerful Youkai Sage which watches over Gensokyo and protects its boundaries. She is too a frequent traveler of the Outside World, and keeps her eye on the events which take place there. She found out rather quickly about the chaos of the human’s world ending, a apocalypse started by a certain strange bear @desbearer ( # thanks based monokuma ) and as soon as the youkai figured out this wasn’t simply a normal human war ( she had seen plenty of those before after all ) as soon as she realized the Outside World was at the threat of being completely destroyed: she took action. For she would NOT let Gensokyo fall because the humans outside of it decided to all up and die.
– So, she came up with a plan. A mission for Gensokyo’s shrine maiden, the one person Yukari KNEW she could count on in a situation like this: Go outside of Gensokyo, fight with the humans who live there, HELP THEM, help the Outside World STABILIZE, help humanity not get WIPED OUT. If she could do that, Gensokyo would be SAVED. In the meantime, Yukari would stay within Gensokyo and help defend / protect it ( strengthen the boundaries, work her powerful magic to try to keep Gensokyo as functional as possible while the whole endeavor sorted itself out ) Confident the Red-White would surely be of help to the humans dealing with the chaos outside.
Reimu joins up with Concordia ( both out of Yukari’s insistence and her own morals ) and helps them fight back, helps them in anyway she can. Despite herself, she makes friends. ( Adrien @mcncheri and Kirigiri @kyoukokiwigiri in particular ) and despite herself she grows to care for them. ( “Maybe once this is over I can show them Gensokyo I just need to help them, save their home just like how I’m working to save my own” )
– She eventually gets a tattoo of the cause, ( on her mid back, between her shoulder blades ) and soon enough Reimu becomes as wholeheartedly invested in Concordia’s success as she is in her personal mission to help secure Gensokyo’s safety.
– Cue Monokuma fucking everything up and throwing them into Murder Disney
– Cue 6 chapters worth of bs she had to go through
– And once she’s out, she finds out that the Outside World ( for better or for worse ) is stable enough that Gensokyo is no longer in any danger of ceasing to exist. She can go home, she can put all this behind her ( she can try to ignore the voice in the back of her head telling her she is just running away. What would her friends think if she just ran back home and left their world in ruins ruled by a tyrant and a deranged self proclaimed queen ? )
– But… her job isn’t to PROTECT the Outside World is it ? She is GENOKSYO’S shrine maiden, everything she has done and will continue to do is for the sake of her HOME, for the place she misses with all her heart. For Reimu Hakurei above all other things has and will always be, The Shrine Maiden of Paradise.

#tfw your crush beats up your ex-boyfriend to defend your honor

I’m like 100% positive that when Jack visited Georgia for the 4th of July both Mama Bittle and MooMaw fell in love with him, and not because of the charming accent or his slammin’ hockey bod but because of his ability to just inhale food.

Like after Jack finishes his first generous helpings of potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, and burger complete with all of the fixings, Mama Bittle and MooMaw plop themselves across from Jack in the shade. They both fuss over him, telling him that there’s plenty of food for seconds and thirds and to help himself.

So Jack stands up with his festive red, white, and blue paper plate and disappears for a few minutes before returning with an extra plate in his hand. Both women look over his plates with a wide smile; one plate was piled high with all of the different sides, and the other plate was holding three burgers and two hot dogs.

The two women chatted eagerly as they fanned themselves and sipped at their sweet tea, watching Jack with lovestruck eyes as he tucked into his plate quietly.

When dessert time comes around everyone serves themselves but Mama Bittle fixed up a plate especially for Jack with extra helpings of everything, which he absolutely demolishes in minutes.

After Bitty finished helping clean up dinner stuff he found Jack rocking on the front porch swing, his head tilted backwards, and his eyes closed.

“Mama get to you?” He asked with a small smile, sitting down next to him.

All he got in response was a soft, “Mhm”.

I'm trying to prove a point to my brother and his friend. Reblog this if you think regardless of a person's age spinning a cat around by their tail to the point it breaks is animal abuse

They believe that because they didn’t know any better it’s not animal abuse.

2017 is exactly the year where racist, antisemitic, just allround bigoted “”“humor”“” has to stop.
It does nothing but normalize the things you “”“joke”“” about. You wonder why hate groups support your “”“comedy”“”, its because youre fucking helping them.
With every “”“joke”“” about killing minorities, about hurting them, them being worth less, you give the people who want those things a platform.

And if you support people who make these “”“jokes”“”, youre no better than them.

HERE TAKE THIS AS MY THANK YOU PICTURE

my casual suga post just got a bunch of notes recently and people seemed to like it so i thought id draw another one in my own outfit from a couple of days ago bc im Gay And Edgy

anonymous asked:

one of the things i don't like in revelations is that hoshido and nohr characters have one buddy support and two romantic ones, if they had a second buddy support, what matchup would it be? (for both generations)

Actually, really good question. Some of these I just did over what would be cute or interesting, maybe less over what would actually happen. With the royals, of course the obvious answer is the other royal(eg. Ryoma can support Xander but not Leo), but I strove away from that.

I hope you don’t mind, but I didn’t do the child units or the Corrin only supports.

Ryoma and Odin - “You are a lot like my uncle”

Hinoka and Selena - Selena could project her mother on Hinoka and in turn learn more that she does not need to be perfect

Takumi and Arthur - “Bow practices for justice and-wait, don’t hold it that way-ARTHUR YOU JUST SHOT YOURSELF/MYSELF”

Sakura and Beruka - Quiet tea ceremony

Saizo and Xander - See how similar your liege is compared to your enemy

Kagero and Camilla - So are Hoshidans all so stuck up or is it just you and your liege?

Azama and Benny - Azama can try to find Nirvana in the middle of the forest. With bears.

Setsuna and Nyx - Can Nyx please cast some luck spell on Setsuna?

Hinata and Keaton - “GO FETCH” “I’m not an idiot, you didn’t throw the sword-” “GO FETCH NOW” “STICK—-” come on guys this could be hilarious

Oboro and Charlotte - Let these two shadow face warriors fight and eventually find friendship

Hana and Peri - “You know what would be a good activity to do with your liege?” “What?” “GOING ON A MURDER HUNT-” “bye”

Subaki and Laslow - “So since when were men allowed to be pegasus knights?” “What the hell is a pegasus knight? I’m a sky knight.”

Hayato and Leo - Teaching each other Hoshidan and Nohrian magic

Kaden and Niles - Would Niles be sneaky enough to keep stealing Kaden’s potentially shed fur and sell it?

Orochi and Elise - “Princess, let me tell you about your future- YOU MUST NOT TRUST YOUR BROTHER IN ANOTHER WORLD”

Rinkah and Effie - Surprised friends over their strength Yes, I am a girl like you

And just for fun, here are two extra s-supports for the royals that are not the other royals.

Ryoma - Charlotte, Beruka
Hinoka - Niles, Laslow
Takumi - Nyx, Selena
Sakura - Arthur, Odin

Xander - Kagero, Hana
Camilla - Kaden, Subaki
Leo - Oboro, Setsuna
Elise - Hayato, Hinata

That thing I think about a lot but never mention.

I think Yuuri knows how to play the piano!

“Hm? Is that a piano?”

Yuuri looks up from where he’s sorting out his laundry, a sock in one hand and a shirt in another. He puts the sock to one side and begins folding the shirt, Victor’s shirt that he keeps forgetting to give back. “Oh, that? I got that keyboard a long time ago—before I went to Detroit, even.”

Victor tilts his head from where he sits on the bed, feet stretched out before him. Blinks and looks at Yuuri. “Do you still play?”

“Sometimes.”

“Play for me?”

Smiling, Yuuri sets aside one of Victor’s scarves and stands. “Any requests?”

“Your song,” the Russian says decisively after a heartbeat of thinking. “Yuri on Ice.”

“Hmm. I never learned it,” Japan’s top figure skater admits. He shakes his head and pulls out the keyboard from where it sits propped against his closet. “But I can try.”

“You can do that?” Victor asks. The words, You’re that good at playing? go unsaid.

Yuuri shrugs, plugs the keyboard into the wall and turns the machine on. “Sure,” he answers, fingers running over scales like water pouring from a fountain. The sound is crisp and clear, and Victor finds himself pleasantly surprised. He wonders why.

“I’ve skated to this song so many times it’s practically engraved in my head,” the brunet continues, moving into arpeggios and rhythmic exercises. The keyboard moves slightly as Yuuri presses into the keys, the device pushing into the yielding mattress. “Just give me a second to warm up.”

As Yuuri’s fingers drift over the keys, Victor swings his feet back and forth. “How did you start playing?”

Yuuri’s fingers don’t stop, unheeding of or perhaps disregarding the conversation. Yuuri turns to look at the older man and hums. “I saw a video of someone playing the piano and decided to learn.”

“Did you take lessons?”

“For a time, yes.”

“How old were you when you started?”

Yuuri huffs a laugh from his nose and tests out various chords. “Is this an interrogation now?”

“Well, I never knew you could play. Is it so wrong to want to learn more about your boyfriend?”

“Mm.” Yuuri pauses, looking down at his hands. “I started when I was relatively young. Six, I think?”

“That is young.”

“Well, I stopped being so serious about it when I began taking ballet lessons. And then skating took up most of my time after that.”

“But you still play?”

“I still play.”

Yuuri begins then, starting with the sixteenth note triplets, and Victor closes his mouth and just listens. It’s lovely—reminds him of when he first listened to it, half asleep and with Yuuri excitedly leaning over his lap. Reminds him of his former student, of his lover before they became lovers.

“You’re very good at this.”

Closing his eyes and letting himself visualize the music inside his head, Yuuri leans back and feels his lips quirk into a half-smile. “I’m not the type to let a skill atrophy without practice.”

“That’s not you, no,” Victor agrees.

And they both listen, then, to the music pouring out of the cheap keyboard roused from its sleep. He times his breathing to the swelling of the melody, to the rise and fall of the notes, to the cadence of the moment. Victor leans against Yuuri’s shoulder and Yuuri leans back, the two of them content to relive their memories through the passage of sound.

It’s a peaceful moment filled with peaceful feelings. Victor tells himself to ask Yuuri to play more music for him from now on.

I’m officially opening this can of worms

aka my full argument for why Terra is in fact one of the Seven Lights in Kingdom Hearts 3. BRACE YOURSELVES, TL;DR IS COMING

Mickey: Seven guardians of light? Well, for Keyblade wielders, there’s me
and Riku and Sora. And my three missing friends, that’s six. Then the
seventh would be… […] That means…the thirteen seekers of darkness…

Xehanort: Yes, little king. Perceptive. But Sora and another on your
list belong to me now. And that puts you three guardians short. But worry not. All of the pieces are destined to appear. Your seven lights just like my thirteen darknesses, whose final clash will beget the prize I seek…

CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS VERY IMPORTANT SCENE HERE FOR A SECOND PLEASE

This is what a lot of people have used to argue that Terra is, in fact, one of the Seekers of Darkness, because this line appears to infer that Xehanort has both him and Sora in his possession.

However, I think the exact opposite. I think this line utterly proves that Xehanort does not have him, which means Terra cannot be a Seeker of Darkness. Allow me to tl;dr a little lot:

Mickey just listed out six of the seven known Lights: Sora, Riku, himself, and his “three friends,” which obviously refers to Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, the only wielders that this game goes to great lengths to avoid verbally naming until the very end. Judging by Xehanort’s response here, he confirms these six as being the chosen Lights.

“Sora and another on your list.” Does this automatically refer to Terra? Think about it. Xehanort has Sora. Xehanort is about to possess him in both body and heart to claim him as a vessel. If he has Sora, whom else does he automatically have possession of? Those in his Sora’s heart who are waiting to be revived, including Roxas, Xion, and Ventus. Ventus, who was just listed as another Light. Also keep in mind:

  • Xigbar knows where Ven is. Both his scene with Zexion in KH2 and his remark to Sora earlier in DDD prove that he knows not only where Ven’s body is, but also where his heart is.
  • Xemnas knows where Ven’s body is. He spent years trying to find the room it’s in – and considering what we learn in DDD, this was most likely with the intention of using him as an easy vessel.
  • Besides having literally predicted pretty much everything in the KH storyline, Master Xehanort also knows what Vanitas looks like – or rather, whom he looks like.

In summary, Xehanort would have surely made the connection by now that Ven and Sora are very closely linked – and judging by Xigbar’s remarks, he knows that Ven’s heart is currently inside Sora’s.

What’s this mean? It means Xehanort would know that by possessing Sora, he automatically gets Ven as well. And if Xehanort has Ven’s heart, Ven obviously can’t serve as a Light because he can’t be whole again. Let’s go back to his line:

“But Sora and another on your list belong to me now. And that puts you three guardians short.”

The common argument is that the “another” refers to Terra, with the “three guardians” total meaning Sora, Terra, and the unknown seventh Light that Mickey couldn’t name. But if Xehanort actually had Terra, he should have said “Sora and two others on your list belong to me now. And that puts you four guardians short, referring to Sora, Terra, the unknown seventh, and Ven. But since he doesn’t, and if we assume that his “two” does mean Sora and Ven, this would mean that not only is Xehanort saying “nope I don’t have Terra,” but he’s also agreeing with Mickey’s initial statement that Terra is one of the Lights.

This isn’t the kind of oversight Xehanort would make, least of all in the game whose entire purpose is to emphasize just how truly, terrifyingly knowledgeable and powerful he really is.

Now, getting back to my original statement, I think this proves Terra isn’t a Darkness presently, but I also think it proves that he will not be one, ever. Remember, Xehanort had his whole plan laid out: 12 vessels carefully chosen over time with Sora as the last-minute thirteenth. That plan was ruined (-insert mad cheering for Lea here-), meaning that his search for a thirteenth vessel in KH3 is an improvisation on his part. If he intended to use Terra as a Darkness, it would not be the thirteenth. He would have already had Terra in line among the first twelve, since at first glance Terra would seem like a legitimate choice given his fate in BBS.

Also remember: DDD tells us that the thirteen Darknesses are made up of people who each possess a piece of Xehanort’s heart. Recall how difficult Terra was for Xehanort to maintain a hold on at the end of BBS – and that was with his whole heart inside of Terra. The likelihood of his being able to maintain control of Terra now, with only 1/13th of his heart, is extremely unlikely, if not an outright plothole should Terra actually turn up as a Darkness. And again, keep in mind that Xehanort is very, very intelligent and he’s not going to waste his time this far into the game. Why bother attempting to reign in a vessel who was so much work before and was able to outmaneuver him and set him back for 13 years?

He won’t. Because as he told Terra directly in BBS, "You are just one of many roads that I might choose to take. Trust me. I made certain of that.” It’s my strong belief that Terra is utterly useless to Xehanort now, much like Riku, and so Xehanort is completely ignoring him at this point – and even going as far as letting Mickey and the others have him (by not going after Terra himself), because if Terra can’t serve the War as a Darkness, he’ll serve it as a Light, which is really all the same in the end as far as Xehanort’s motives are concerned.

AND SINCE WE’RE HERE, I’ll also cover the topic of what a Guardian of Light should be, which further supports Terra as one of them:

What exactly qualifies a person as a Light? Let’s look at the similarities between the six mentioned before. Sora, Riku, Mickey, Terra, Ven, and Aqua – we all know from their respective games that they are each VERY light-oriented in their hearts. Riku struggled for a while, but he eventually overcame his darkness to balance it with his light. Terra also succumbed to darkness, but BBS mentions several times that he has a very strong light in his heart regardless. It’s this light that forces Xehanort to take such a long, roundabout way of doing things to finally possess him in the end. Terra and Riku are virtually the same case, a point stressed all the more in Blank Points. So, overall, I’d say it’s safe to assume that the Seven Lights all have to possess strong lights in their hearts. This is kind of obvious, given the name.

Second, these six have been proven to be very justice-oriented. Sora, Riku, Terra, Ven, Aqua, and Mickey are all the types who would – and do – jump headlong and selflessly into danger for others, oftentimes complete strangers. They take their roles as Keyblade wielders very seriously and understand the kind of responsibility that they carry. So, I would also say that the Lights have to possess noble intentions, a strong sense of justice, and a general adherence to the idea of what is “good” in this universe. Also keep in mind that they play the roles opposite to the Darknesses, so they stand for everything Xehanort’s side doesn’t: lawfulness, order, and the general good.

Thus, if Terra is not one of the Lights, then besides finding the unconfirmed seventh (which, by all appearances, is most likely Kairi) the good guys also need to find another wielder who fits the above description. Of all the wielders we know, past and present, no one else fits all these qualities – except Eraqus, arguably, but even he made one really big screw-up that set him apart from the standards set by the six mentioned above. Roxas sort of comes close, but imo isn’t light-centric enough. Even the Foretellers, despite being generally good people, appear to be flawed in ways that ultimately put their own interests before anything else, unlike the six listed above who constantly put themselves last and fight for others and what they believe is Right.

SO. way too much tl;dr, but to sum it up, please please PLEASE do not just go by the word of all these people (including certain high-profile individuals) who preach “Terra isn’t a Light” and/or “so-and-so is a Light” as fact without any evidence to back it up. This happens a lot, and goes back to how fanbases in general have a terrible habit of accepting fan opinions as fact and then lashing out at canon when it doesn’t happen, which is a sad and frustrating thing to watch.

I’m not saying you should believe everything I’ve said as 100% infallible, but I ask you to consider it, and actually think for yourself, before just going with the biased flow and blind claims that are so prevalent in fandom.

Hm. Guys? I just re-read the screenplay and Grindelwald spent all of two days in New York. He didn’t impersonate Graves for months. Newt arrives in NY the day after we see Grindelwald fighting those wizards at the beginning of the movie. Fantastic Beasts spans over two days. I’ll make a detailed post about this later, but we can already say that :

- Grindelwald took Graves’ place very quickly. If the man was only impersonated for two days, then it makes sense that no one noticed he wasn’t himself.

- Graves - the real one - obviously knew Credence before. Grindelwald just met him as was probably usual for the both of them and told him to find the child.

- We still don’t know where Graves is

- Grindelwald was probably in a rush. It makes sense that he got a bit carried away in trying to find the Obscurus, and therefore Newt was able to find out something was wrong. Grindelwald was stressed out. Probably had no idea how to do Graves’ job and just took it because it was a high position in the government, therefore he’d have access to more information and more freedom to move and do as he pleased.
