because i didn't expect to find it

Welp. We went to see Wonder Woman. I cried during the sad parts and some of the other parts. They were the same kind of tears I had on and off through Ghostbusters. Movies with strong women who are fully realized people who are allowed to be sexual but are not sexualized and can also kick ass just make me cry randomly. Though TBH I also cry in LotR when anyone picks up their sword and runs into battle screaming the name of their home. I didn’t even realize how ravenous I was for a female version of that.

There are so many things I love about Skin Deep and Rumbelle.

But one of my absolute favourite twists on OUAT is that their Beauty and the Beast story starts with ending a war. I… can’t really explain why, but the idea that Beauty in this story is not simply making a deal with the Beast to save her father (or -in some versions-  is basically being sold by her father who already made the deal with the Beast so he would let him go home), this Beauty is a peacemaker. OUAT’s Belle is a nobelwoman in a town under siege. A nobelwoman in a war council room, who is kind and gentle but at the same time has this incredible strength to her. She is someone who is not just capable of finding solutions that others wouldn’t have thought of (in this case summoning the Dark One) she is also the person who is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to save her people. The stakes are much higher than in any other BatB adaptation I know and that just gives this really interesting vibe to that very first scene.

But it’s not just that it made (at least to me) Belle someone who is instantly a fascinating character. I also love how the Ogre Wars are something that played an extremely important role in both Rumple’s and Belle’s lives.

I mean, here we have these two people who couldn’t come from more different backgrounds, born 300 years apart… and yet… war brings them together, in a way. The same kind of war, that so long ago ruined Rumplestiltskin’s life and ultimately made him who he is (after all if there were no Ogre Wars, he wouldn’t have become the Dark One).

But it’s also interesting what kind of role they played in the Ogre Wars. Rumple was a soldier, who suffered because the nobels who ruled that territory (probably) couldn’t care less for their subjects. Rumple in that situation didn’t have any power or privilege. 300 years later he is the one with all the power, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he finds himself fascinated by- and later falls for this young noblewoman, who is willing to give up all her privilege and her freedom to save her own subjects. Belle becomes what Rumplestiltskin once was (a peasant/servant, someone whose life is basically in the hands of their master(s)) -what fate he later escaped from!- willingly, so she can save people like Spinner Rumple and Bae. And I don’t think that’s something Rumplestiltskin saw many times in his long life.

There are many important things about Rumbelle, and the Ogre Wars being a shared experience (even if from totally different POV’s - but imo, that’s what makes it interesting) is probably not one of the most important ones. But damn, it’s fascinating.

whenever marginalized groups complain about the lack of content highlighting their stories and issues, they are told to “create their own content, then.” however, when they do, they are faced with overwhelming critique, overwhelming ignorance, or a mixture of both.

Swan queen prompt: Regina finally found a way to reverse the potion that didn't let her have children and is thinking of getting pregnant, then emma finds out and gets jealous because "YOU'RE ONLY SUPPOSED TO HAVE CHILDREN WITH ME"

(Well then, this came out a lot different than I expected. But here we go!)

Down in her vault, Regina flipped constantly through pages of various spellbooks. Her potions sprawled out over the place. Books thrown around the floor around her. Candles lit up to keep the light. Some almost completely burnt out as the wax trickled down onto the cobblestone it sat on. Regina herself sitting on the ground looking exasperated. Her face flushed, bags under her eyes from the lack of sleep.

“Useless… why did I do this to myself…” she muttered under her breath. “For what? To spite my own mother?”

She shook her head as it dropped down. “I can’t keep doing this…” her voice lowered exhaustively. Lids finally closing tightly over her eyes. Regina slunk down to her right side in a deep sleep. Finally, all her research and lack of sleep had caught up to her.

“Mom?” a teenage voice called out as Henry entered the vault. Stepping further inside he saw his mother collapsed on the ground. Quick to her side he checked to see if she was alright. A sigh of relief to find that she was just sleeping.

Shaking his head he looked around seeing all the books surrounding her. “Oh geez, mom….” Henry sighed as he sat down beside her. Stroking his hand over her head, through her hair. “What have you been doing down here?” he asked quietly.

Fingers brushing over the pages of the opened books. Brows furrowed as he picked up one of the books setting it on his lap. “What’s…this?” his eyes scrolled over the words, fingers tracing with as he mumbled under his breath. “Mom…” he sat down the book in front of him. Shaking Regina slightly, “Mom, we need to go home so you can sleep.”

Groaning Regina’s eyes fluttered open. “Henry it’s late…”

Laughing at her he rested his hands on his knees. “Not really, it’s actually only after seven in the morning.”

Shooting up from the ground Regina looked around. “Did I fall asleep here?” he clenched her teeth tightly. Another failed night of research…

“Yeah you did and I got really worried about you. Wasn’t sure where you were so I asked mom and grandma if they knew. Since they didn’t know I assumed you were either here or at your office…” Henry said as calmly as he could, a hint of worry lingering in the back of his tone. “Mom, what’s going on anyways? What have you been doing down here? I thought you stopped with magic…”

Sighing Regina rubbed her head as an oncoming migraine was beginning to form. Biting down on her bottom lip she looked at Henry. Large sad brown eyes as she took a deep breath. “I was trying to find a way to reverse a potion I took long ago… So far I’ve been coming up empty…”

“What potion was it?” he asked her curiously.

“To spite my mother… I took a potion that would leave me infertile… so I may never have children…” she said quietly.

“Oh…” Henry reached back down to the book in front of him. Handing it to his mother. “Is this what you were looking for then?”

Regina quick to take the book skimmed over the spell. Tears building in the corners of her eyes causing them to swell up she sat down the book. Reaching to wrap her arms around Henry. “Yes.. how did you….?” she choked out the words.

Returning the much-needed embrace Henry smiled teary eyed himself. “It was opened next to you… you probably didn’t notice it when you fell asleep.”

Pulling away Regina wiped her tears. Picking up the book she collected herself as she stood up tall. Walking over to the cauldron and potions she began to mix the ingredients it called for. “Thank you.” she said looking over her shoulder as Henry approached beside her.

“Welcome, mom.” he smiled as he watched her make the hopeful reverse potion.

As it finished mixing together Regina poured it into a vile. Looking at Henry who’d been by her side waiting for her. “Well, here it goes…” she smiled faintly. Anxiously she pressed her hand against her stomach while drinking the vile in her other hand.

“Did it work?” he asked as they left the vault.

Shoving a hand into her coat pocket, the other wrapped around Henry. “I don’t know…”

“Well do you feel different?”

She smiled at him and kissed the top of his head. “Yes… actually, I do.”

LATER……

Brushing her hands nervously over her black dress Regina took in a deep breath. “I can do this… I’m… excited to do this….” she whispered to herself before opening the door to Granny’s. The Charming family sitting at their usual booth Regina walked over taking a seat next to Henry.

“So what did you want to talk about? You seemed so excited when you stopped by the station.” Emma said looking over at her with a smile. A hint of curiosity hidden behind it. She hadn’t been able to figure out what Regina was so excited about since she stopped by to see her. Her heart fluttering when they exchanged a long tight embrace.

Crossing her leg over the other, fingers entwined as they rested on her knee. “Well, I have exciting news…” She took in a deep breath before looking at all the curious faces.

“It’s okay mom, just tell them.” Henry said reassuringly.

Emma nudging him, “Kid you know what this is about?”

“Yeah, I helped her out today with it all.”

“With what all?” Emma’s smile soon faded into concern as she looked to Regina.

“Well…. Emma.. everyone… I found a potion to reverse the one I took ages ago… I can now have children… I had stopped off at the hospital afterward to make sure it worked… and… it did!” Regina grinned from ear to ear. “So I was looking into having treatments of some sort since… let’s face it I’m never going to find my true love.” she said bitterly. “So this is the next best thing.”

Snow and David’s smiles stretched widely from ear to ear in the excitement of the news. “Regina! That’s wonderful news! We’re so happy for you! If you need anything, anything at all just let us know.”

Snow extended out her hand to rest upon Regina’s.

“Thank you, Snow, David.” Regina grinned nodding at them. Her heart pounding against her chest soon to halt at the sight of Emma’s expression. “Emma?” she asked worriedly. “Is everything alright?”

Biting down tightly on her bottom lip Emma nodded. Her voice low as she gestured for Henry to move from the booth to let her out. “Yeah, everything’s great. I’m happy for you. I just… remembered something is all.” She swallowed back after giving a quick faint smile. “I’m sorry, I have to go. Good luck. Regina.” she said with a final smile. This one sadder than the others before. Emma gripped tightly onto her red leather jacket as she stepped back turning around facing the door.

Regina puzzled at Emma’s reaction. Feeling her heart as if it was ripped from her chest.

Snow’s brows furrowed as she watched her daughter. Passing baby Neal to David she slid out from the booth. “Just give me one moment please.” she said excusing herself.

Her footing quickened as she headed out the door. Stopping and crossing her arms as she saw Emma standing at the edge of the sidewalk. Hearing her sobs. “Emma?” Snow stepped a little closer towards her daughter. Seeing the tears flooding down her cheeks as she turned to her. “Emma, what’s wrong?”

“It’s not that…I’m not happy for her.” She replied wiping her tears. Stiffening her posture. “I really am… I’m just….”

“Just what? Emma, I’m not unde—”

“Of course you don’t understand.” Emma spat out shaking her head. “I’m thrilled for her. How can I not be? I LOVE HER. I’m just wishing that I could have known and been beside her when she was staying up late looking for a way to reverse this. To be the person that was beside her looking into treatments. TO BE HER TRUE LOVE. IT SHOULD BE MY CHILD SHE IS HAVING. I mean, why not? We have Henry together…”

“Swan?”

Emma’s eyes shot back over from behind her mother. Seeing Regina pacing elegantly toward her. A blushing smile shining brightly as she approached her. “Do you really feel that way?”

“Yes of course I do,” Emma said staring into brown eyes.

One final step, tears building the corners of her eyes. Cupping her hands over Emma’s cheeks she smiled even wider. “Then let’s start a family together.” She said before pressing her red lips against Emma’s.

For some reason seeing Sonic just... Makes me really happy? I don't even know why but I see Sonic when I didn't expect to see him and I just smile like an idiot because it's Sonic and he's great.

I agree. It especially hard not to smile when Sonic is smiling or laughing as well. He’s so happy most of the time, and I find that happiness a bit contagious.

Headcanons for Viktor waking up and finding out that his s/o had left him during the night because she didn't feel like she was good enough for him and only left a note about breaking up.

I know you requested headcanons, but I wrote a scenario for this prompt. The headcanons I wrote didn’t really live up to my expectations, and I really felt like I could do better with a scenario. I’m actually very proud of this one :) If you aren’t satisfied, just send me another ask and I’ll find a way to make it up to you. Thank you for the request! <3 ((I also listened to “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” by T. Swift and Zayn for fuel to write this lmao))

Viktor blinks against the harsh light pouring in from the bedroom window that he’s facing. He brings an arm up to cover his squinting eyes and rolls over, blocking out the light in favor of spending a bit more time in the cocoon of warmth he has within the sheets. With closed eyes and a warm smile, he inches over to your side of the bed to spoon with you—and possibly take care of his morning wood. His eyes flutter open and his smile disappears in confusion when he finds your side of the mattress cold and empty.

Now awake, he sits up and scowls at the empty room and tries to remember a reason why you wouldn’t be able to spend the morning in bed with him. Do you have an appointment? Work? Plans with friends? Nothing comes to mind, but his face lights up with a smirk, realizing what’s going on. You’re probably in the kitchen whipping up breakfast for the both of you.

Viktor emerges from bed with a yawn, stretching out with his arms above his head as he heads to the bathroom. While he brushes his teeth, he imagines you standing in the kitchen with his shirt on and his boxers. He envisions you standing over the stove with your messy hair and cooking his favorite breakfast with the smell of the fresh coffee brewing filling the air. He thinks about coming up behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist so he can press his bare chest against your back. The thoughts make Viktor smile.

I don't really have a problem with Bowie/Queen-esque music. What I don't really care for is the comparison. That's some pretty big shoes to fill, so to speak. If it was some other artist that I didn't know and I read these comparisons and quotes like "blow your socks off" I would expect some serious good sh*t coming from them. And while I don't doubt that Harry can deliver, I do sometimes think critics may hold him to a higher standard because of these rumors going around and will find a +

+way to take him down a notch so to speak. Like, do these comparisons and the this rumored album being SO incredibly good and earth shattering, help or hurt him? It generates buzz but then he has to deliver. And I think coming from a “boy band” and being the public front man - he has more to prove than Niall or Liam or Louis. I do think he has the ability to deliver the goods but I hate all the hype because I don’t want him to “fail” in the eye’s of the public and critic. He has a lot to offer!

Here’s the thing I’ve realized about so many things going on: I understand all these arguments, I get why people care. I just don’t care. I don’t care at all what the GP thinks about the boys unless and until it actually limits their ability to live their lives or to produce work I want to enjoy. If I cared what other people thought about 1D, I wouldn’t be a 38-year old woman stanning a boyband. The media and celeb gossip culture love to build someone up and then watch them inevitably fail to meet those standards. Or to overly shame them for very human behavior. Or to gasp and scold truly awful behavior while continuing to keep those awful people famous. It’s what happens. It is what it is. I wish it weren’t so, but by understanding that, I just write it off entirely. NME and Pitchfork are going to shit on whatever they do no matter what. Tabloids are not going to be objective about scuffles with the paps. People with only a passing understanding of 1D are going to compare the boys. Someone, somewhere is going to think each and every one of them failed no matter how successful they are. Niall could sweep at the Grammys next year and someone will say that he didn’t deserve any of it. The industry itself will develop some arcane metric for success that only matters to A&R guys who spend most of their time shitting on the artists they work with and doing coke. I can’t control any of that and I can see that most of it is just about churning content to make advertising money and making people feel self-important, so I just ignore it. It makes enjoying what I enjoy a lot easier.

Voltron: Legendary Defenders- Galra!Altean!Keith AU

So, what if it’s Galra!Keith with a twist… he already knows he’s an alien.  He’s known for his entire life.

Keith’s father, Thace, is secretly a member of the Galra resistance.  His mother is Altean, a descendant from those who managed to escape Zarkon’s destruction of Altea ten thousand years ago.  Keith was born and lived on a secret resistance base for maybe the first five years or so of his life, hidden away on the fringes of the known galaxy.  From a young age, his father teaches him how to fight (as much as you can teach a five year old to fight, anyway) and his mother teaches him how to use his shapeshifting abilities to his advantage– both in battle and in normal life.

At some point, Zarkon discovers the base and orders it destroyed.  Thace gives them enough warning for them to evacuate, except during the escape, Keith and his mother’s ship is  damaged and separated from the rest of the group.  They go spinning off into deep space, presumably lost forever (leading Thace to think that he lost both of them), but in reality they crash-land on Earth.

Keith’s mother, once she pulls herself and Keith out of the wreckage, realizes that the ship is unsalvageable.  They’re trapped on an unfamiliar planet, who knows how far away from civilization– if the planet even has a civilization –and with only each other to depend on.

And to top it all off, they seem to have landed in a desert in the middle of nowhere.  Wonderful.

After several long and harrowing days trekking through the desert, they stumble across a town.  Once Keith and his mother disguise themselves as humans, they find the homeless population and integrate themselves into there.  Keith’s mother learns everything she can about Earth, Keith has to adjust to losing everything he’s ever known, and consequently the next few years are very hard for both of them.

Soon enough, Keith’s mother figures out how to hack Earth systems (“Rather primitive, compared to ours, but we don’t complain about easy marks, eh?” she says to Keithek– no, Keith, who grins in agreement) and fakes their records so that they can really blend in with the rest of the population.  Her name gets changed to a similar Earth equivalent and Keith gets his changed from Keithek, his birth name, to Keith.  From there, she finds a job, they get an apartment, and things sort of settle down.  Eventually, they save enough money to even just build their own little house far outside city limits, where they can go back to their natural forms and be themselves.  (Yes, this is Keith’s wooden cabin-thing from the first episode.)

Except, then, the accident happens.

There’s a traffic-heavy intersection.  A drunk driver.  Keith is the only one who survives.

A combination of a concussion and trauma from the accident gives Keith minor amnesia.  His memories get… scrambled.  Some things stay, but others don’t.  He knows his name wasn’t always Keith, but he doesn’t know what it used to be.  He knows he isn’t human, but he doesn’t know what species he really is.  He knows he’s an alien, but all the memories he has of space are flashes, impressions, hazy images that fade even further as the years pass.

It doesn’t help that he’s immersed in Earth culture, living amongst humans who treat him as one of them, and there’s nothing left to keep him in touch with his heritage.  Nothing except a dagger, hilt beneath its wrappings inscribed with two symbols that he understands mean family but can’t remember why.  Nothing except a dagger and the tattered fragments of his memories, but even those are slipping away, and that terrifies him.

(I don’t want to forget, he whispers to himself, clinging to the sound of his mother’s voice.  He saves what he can, holds them close to his heart, but sometimes the little things slip through the cracks.

I can’t remember what Dad’s smile looks like, he realizes, and has to try very hard not to cry.)

Keith grows older, moves from foster home to foster home, and never quite manages to fit in.  He joins the Garrison, drawn to space and flight and he’s good at piloting, he knows this, and the first time he gets behind the controls of a ship he has a sudden image of longer hands wrapped around his, a gentle voice guiding him through the sky, and it was Keith’s father who taught him how to fight but it was his mother who taught him how to fly.

But the problem is he’s still too wild to obey the Garrison’s rules, too reckless and disobedient and despite his talent they still force him out.  He ends up wandering after that, but is still drawn back to the desert.  Back to the little cabin his mother built, following a strange pull he can’t explain, and then–

An alien ship crash-lands in a fiery explosion.  Keith goes out to investigate and turns out it’s Shiro, Shiro whom he hasn’t seen in years (they were neighbors, once, even friends, but then Keith left that foster family and they hadn’t crossed paths since), Shiro whom everyone thought was dead somewhere out in space.

Keith rescues him, meets three other teens in the process and somehow he ends up driving them all off a cliff.  But it’s fine, everything works out, and they escape the Garrison successfully.  Even if Keith is dragging along three more people than initially planned.

He doesn’t know why, but he tells him about the strange energy he feels.  About how he was drawn out to the desert, about the lion cave, about all the strange things that he’s found.  Then it turns out that Hunk and Pidge are veritable engineering geniuses, the carvings can light up like neon, and there’s apparently being a giant blue robotic lion sitting hidden in the desert for who knows how long.

(Ten thousand years, he thinks, and isn’t quite sure why he feels so certain about it.)

Flying in the lion is an adventure.  Going through the wormhole, even more so.  The castle, majestic and proud and oddly barren, is breathtaking.

Princess Allura, on the other hand… the first time he sees her, it’s a struggle not to let his knees give out on him.  Because she has pointed ears like his mother’s, eye-markings just a few shades paler than hers were, and perhaps Allura’s hair and skin and eyes are the wrong colors but she’s similar enough that it makes Keith ache.

She is what my mom was, he realizes, when she speaks to them of Altea and her people and what is ancient history for them was just yesterday for her.  My mother… was Altean.

…I’m half Altean.

But he doesn’t tell her or Coran, in part because he’s afraid and in part because after he gets the Red Lion and sees a Galran he knows what species his father was.  The memories are trickling back, not quite clear and not quite sharp because it’s been over a decade but they’re coming back.  They’re coming back, slowly but surely, yet sometimes Keith wishes that they weren’t.

Because he remembers now.  He remembers that while he might be half Altean he’s half Galran too, but it’s the Galran Empire that they’re fighting and it’s his people who have taken over most of the universe.  It makes him sick that he knows, now, and for the first time in a long time he’s wished that he was human like the others.

(For a moment, Keith thinks he might hate his father.  But– no.  He can’t.  His memories of the man are blurry but warm, tinted with affection and happiness.  He wonders where his father is, if he’s even still alive.)

Keith doesn’t tell the others, of course.  He would never admit it but he’s scared, scared of what they’ll think and what they’ll say.  Terrified, actually, and half-convinced that they all would hate him if they found out.  It was Galrans who destroyed Altea, after all (and isn’t it strange to realize that Altea could have been his planet as well, that it was his father’s people who destroyed his mother’s), it was Galrans who captured and tortured Shiro, it’s Galrans that they’re fighting and Galrans are the enemy.

So, yeah.  Telling them: not an option.

(But that doesn’t stop it from tearing him apart inside.)

Keith buries it.  Buries the doubts and fears and all thoughts of his alien blood deep, deep within the crevices of his mind, and throws himself into being a paladin.  He knows he can’t ignore it forever because it’s festering, eating away like poison like rot, but– he can put it off.  Just a little longer.  He can deal with it on his own, and the others need never, ever find out.

(And then, to make things worse: Zarkon says to him, You fight like a Galra soldier.  Like it’s a compliment.

And Keith, Keith feels angry yet proud, because his mother taught him how to fly but his father taught him how to fight.)

â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“ - John’s Blog

John! Heyy!!! I’m coming after you today! Yay! Soo, I have a question! Why did you stop referring to Lestrade as â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“ and start to call him by name?

Oh yeah… You only call him by name after Sherlock jumped off Bart’s… Well damn, John. Either you stopped protecting his identity, or, the blog isn’t real after the ‘Hello Boys!’ post, and it’s all in Sherlock’s mind from there. (I have more evidence tucked away here)

So we start at the ASiP post:

Nothing unusual here. John is protecting Lestrade’s identity, it’s all fine.

He does it again in TGG post:

And, I can only think in the Aluminium Crutch post, this is Lestrade as well:

See? It’s all fine. Everything is fine, they can hardly reveal the identity of the man who’s helping them at Scotland Yard.

That is until, The Orient Express post… The 6th post after Sherlock’s death:

Oh look… You mentioned Lestrade, by name. Like everyone knows who he is, yet, Lestrade as a name is never mentioned on the blog before this.

So John just stopped using â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“, for some reason? It is never used again and from here, Greg is all that is said. Not even Lestrade:

So, why John? Why stop using â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“ to protect peoples names, not just Lestrade’s?

Is it because the blog hasn’t actually been written by you since TRF? Because we’re still there? Is the blog really just what Sherlock wrote in his mind before he fully slipped into dreams and stopped writing it? Because Sherlock does know Lestrade’s name, we know that. (Especially if you think S3 is EMP as well as S4). So what’s stopping Sherlock from writing Lestrade’s name down, when the blog isn’t real at all, after a certain point? That’s right, nothing is. It’s easier to just say Lestrade’s name than using â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“â–“.

So, if you didn’t believe me before about John’s blog… Does this sway you? Because it just seems like conclusive proof to me. Or it might not be and there could be a reasonable explanation to this but, I can’t see it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi, I know this is kinda late but I just wanna say why I think BTS didn't preform at the bbmas. I think they didn't because they probably had to decide on the performers months before they probably even decided on the nominees. Take Drake's performance for example. That must've taken months to prepare for. I also think the bbmas weren't expecting bts to be that popular. And once they did find out they couldn't just tell an artist that they couldn't preform just cause they wanted bts to.Thoughts?

Oh good theory, I think the same. BBMA didn’t know how popular BTS will be but also because a stage of that scale can’t be decided at the last minute (they already had the artists lined up and they have a show schedule to respect). BBMAs just let slip what could have been one of its best performances tho. “Butterflyyyy like a Butterflyyy” they lost it!

Is it because of the Langst mini fics that I post? Is it because of the VLD stuff that I reblog? Or just the random stuff that I reblog? Or maybe the AUs that I make?

I’m just really curious. I hope some of you will answer because your opinion really matters to me. 😊

Wait what did gal do? I didn't know of this!

Oh man, I’m sorry for taking so long to answer and you’ve probably already looked it up yourself and weren’t expecting this long-ass thing, but I’m still going to post this because I’ve been researching for hours with finding articles from credible sources. I’m a white American btw, so I’m definitely not any sort of expert on this matter.

Short answer: Gal Gadot served as a combat trainer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) during the 2006 war against Lebanon (x - Vogue, x - Glamour). While, yes, it is mandatory for all Israelis to serve in the military, she continues to support IDF and posted about it during Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip in 2014 (x - her post + comments from people defending her & people who are justifiably against her).

Why it’s horrifying and disgusting that she supports IDF:

  • Brief history about Israel: it came to be through the ethnic cleansing and displacement of Palestinians sometime before the 40s, and today, they control over 85% of what Palestine used to be. This event is known as Nakba and it is still happening in the present day with Israel’s occupation of Palestine. Here is an in-depth feature from Al Jazeera about this.
  • As for the 2014 Israel-Gaza war that Gadot posted about, this post really helped me understand what was going on when it was happening back in August 2014. Because of Israel/IDF, children were being massacred, families were torn apart, homes and schools and hospitals were bombed, and there was little to no access to medicine and clean water. This is a super brief summary and barely scrapes the surface of all the crimes committed against the people in Gaza. IDF soldiers were, and still are, relentless and sadistic, and these are the people that Gadot supports and sends her love to.
  • I admit that I don’t know a lot about the 2006 Lebanon War that she served during, but here is an document from Amnesty International that details Israel’s war crimes against Lebanese civilians.

Many people have tried to justify her support of the IDF by saying “she doesn’t support the war!!” but these atrocities can’t be separated from the soldiers she supports, not when they’ve killed thousands and displaced millions of Palestinian civilians. She’s not a dumb person and there’s no way she doesn’t know what Israel is doing to innocent people.

I’m not saying people can’t enjoy Wonder Woman and her portrayal of her - that would be hypocritical of me seeing as I really liked the movie - but her views should not be justified.

Sidenote (if anyone actually reads this post): please call me out if I’m overstepping anything here, and please let me know if any of my information is incorrect or misleading. Also, feel free to add onto this! America very rarely reports news on issues that don’t involve us, so I just want to thank all of the people on here who educate us and share their stories.

This isn't really a question, but I've never had sex with a man who didn't expect me to deepthroat. I hate doing it, but it feels like most men think of it as an obligatory part of sex because it's in porn so much. I'm beginning to think I'll never find a man who doesn't try to make me do it. :(

Any man who tries to make you do something sexually that you don’t want CUT HIM OUT OF YOUR LIFE FOREVER

"Oh, hey Dad!" Virgil wanders over, looking a little surprised to find their Dad in a place he usually finds Scott. "Didn't expect to find you here... I've been trying to find Scott. You haven't seen him, have you? I was gonna see if he wanted to go out for a pizza..."

There are few words that can describe just how much Scott’s missing his best friend. He’s been forced to stay away, to avoid his usual level of interaction with his middle brother because if anyone’s capable of sussing something’s wrong, it’s the bear who knows him best.

“Virgil.” Scott attempts to inject some of their father’s joy de vivre into his voice but it’s hard, “I thought I’d…grab some…air.” Down in the hangars on the walkway overlooking Thunderbird One. Scott’s missing her almost as much.

He flashes a grin, “Champ said something about Annapurna which has a pretty high fatality rate if it’s the hill I’m thinking of so I’m not thinkin’ of it. Fancy grabbing a pizza with your old man instead?”

what're you're thoughts on Milk & Honey by Rupi Kaur

Personally, I disliked it… I read it on a train ride and I was expecting so much more out of it, but after the first few pages it became too shallow, too obvious, very very naive. And not because of the Minimalistic form but because the meaning & content were - for me - lifeless, souless, lacking any real emotion to a point it didn’t even seemed natural but mechanical. I felt nothing. I passed entire pages dedicated to one-sentence “poems” such as “you’ve touched me without even touching me”, “stay i whispered as you shut the door behind you”, “you are your own soulmate”… It was as if Rupi Kaur was struggling hard to turn a few casual, superficial thoughts into something deep, relatable, and inspirational, and failing each time because what’s empty will remain empty. I just spent the rest of the journey looking out of the window. -xx

do you think Sangwoo's attitude will change a bit, where he won't touch Yoonbum sexually when he finds out his Uncle has been sexually abusing him?I hope it does bc these spoilers have made me sick, how is going to save Bum from sexual assault then go and do this??? I know he's bat shit crazy but I thought he had some slight moral standing. (It really seemed to me that he didn't like sexual abuse)

tbh……i expect one of two responses. 1. ‘total apathy’, or 2. ‘possessive anger’. with regards to the latter it’s because he sees bum as his own possession and it’s possible that he could care in the sense that he feels like someone touched what was his. but more likely, i think, is an apathetic response. i wouldn’t even put it past sangwoo to guilt and shame bum about his uncle’s abuse and even use it against him somehow.

[ a potential 3. is ‘fake caring’. he could pretend he gives a shit so that bum sees him as some sort of savior. this would help sangwoo’s general goal of making bum super emotionally dependent on him and attached to the point where he can really truly do what he wants with him. it would all be about the illusion of sangwoo’s love and making bum feel like he actually cares. we’ve already seen how sangwoo abuses bum’s need for love and need to feel cared for. needless to say in this scenario sangwoo doesn’t actually care ]

sangwoo isn’t going to save bum from any sexual assault….not when he’s too busy inflicting it himself lol. if he challenges his uncle its gonna be out of his own selfish possessiveness rather than a genuine care for bum’s life and well being/mental state. he has no moral standing.

i feel that many readers expect too much good out of sangwoo. he will never do a good, honest thing for bum. everything is about himself.

PruAus Week 2016 ~ Uniforms

They’re dressed for a game which took place September 2nd, 2011, where in Austria’s hopes and dreams of qualifying for the 2012 UEFA European Championship were dashed straight to Hell thanks to Germany.

I imagine Austria is a bit of a sulker once losing. Meanwhile, Prussia is bouncing around, expecting a hug and some praise like Old Fritz used to give him.

I’m sure these two always find a way to make up later…
