because how could anakin have possibly turned into this monster with no chance of going back

His Fate Will Be the Same as Ours

So, about a week ago, I reblogged this post, talking about how Obi-Wan, Palpatine, and Vader all died on the Death Star(s), and how it was directly due to Vader/Anakin’s actions. And then I got to thinking.  Which is always dangerous, for me.  I didn’t have time to write it, but I now do have some time. This is what came of it.

“His fate will be the same as ours.”

Darth Sidious could not stop thinking about that simple phrase.  It had been hours since Anakin and Kenobi “rescued” him and they’d landed on Coruscant.  And yet, Anakin’s simple words when he refused to leave Kenobi wouldn’t stop running through his head.

He’d gotten almost everything else he’d wanted- Lord Tyranus was dead, Anakin was well on his way to a Fall, and though Kenobi was still alive, he had no idea.

And yet… Anakin’s words were true. Darth Sidious knew it. Somehow.  He frowned and took a deep breath.  He needed to meditate.  He checked to make sure the Jedi couldn’t feel him and settled down.

Why had Anakin’s simple little statement resonated with the Force?  Anakin hadn’t noticed, but Sidious had.  He focused on that and on the Dark Side.

For a long, long moment, there was nothing.  Then, Sidious saw a hanger, with a group of people running towards a thoroughly disreputable ship.  The younger man- blond, blue eyes, rough farmers clothes- stopped and stared at something.  Sidious “looked”, and saw an old man fighting a… being in some sort of mechanical suit. The old man looked back at the boy and his small smile told Sidious who it was.  Kenobi.

Kenobi lifted his lightsaber in a salute, and the being killed Kenobi.

The vision faded.

Sidious saw a man with deformed features- he knew it was himself- attacking another with Force Lightning. For a moment, he couldn’t see who he was attacking, but then his vision-self paused and Sidious recognized the boy.  It was the boy in the last vision, older, hair a few shades darker, in black.

His vision self continued his attack.  And then the mechanical being from before picked him up and threw him down some sort of shaft.

The vision faded.

Sidious saw the mechanical man who had killed both Kenobi and himself laying on a boarding ramp to an unfamiliar ship.  The boy from before, still in black, was there.  In fact, from the subtle signs of pain Sidious knew well, it was only a short time after the last vision.  The boy slowly removed the other man’s helmet.

Sidious eyed the scars covering the man’s pale face before he recognized the eyes.  He knew those eyes.  And then he picked out familiar features, even covered in scars.  That was Anakin!

Even as he realized it, Anakin closed his eyes and died.

Sidious blinked, and he knew this was the truth.  All of them would die, because of Anakin.  Is this the only possibility?  He asked the Dark Side.

He saw a virtual kaleidoscope of alternatives.

Sidious stood on the banks of a lava river.  In front of him were three forms- himself, Anakin, and Kenobi.  Anakin and Kenobi were dead- lightsaber wounds and burns, and nothing could be done for them.  His future self was kneeling next to Anakin, obviously checking him.  A second later, the lava burst up and out and covered his future self.

That could not happen.  He focused again.  He watched as he and the two younger men stood by that lava river again, but this time, the younger men were alive, though surrounded by dead Jedi. His own future self was still deformed, but the other two followed him into a shuttle.  The current Sidious could see Anakin’s yellow eyes and the hard cast of Kenobi’s features.

Sidious liked that future far better.  But the Dark Side dragged him on.

His future self died on Anakin’s blade after he cut down Kenobi, but in his dying moments, he snapped Anakin’s neck.  Their bodies lay at the bottom of the Senate dome until they were found.

He sat on a throne, Anakin and Kenobi at his right and left hands.

The three of them faced off against some ancient Sith monster, fighting together to survive.  Sidious didn’t know what to make of that one, because it appeared that both the younger men were still Jedi.

Future after future paraded before his eyes.  In some, they all died.  In others, both Anakin and Kenobi turned.  And in still others, Sidious couldn’t figure out what is going on, except that, like Anakin said, their fates were the same.

Finally, Sidious opened his eyes and took a deep breath, allowing the Dark Side to fade away.

So.  Anakin had been telling to the truth.  Whatever happened Kenobi would share his fate.

Sidious scowled.  Kenobi had done so much to unwittingly delay Sidious’ revenge.  He was the one single Jedi who stood any chance, however slight, of stopping the Sith. He was the only Jedi that Anakin trusted.  And he seemed so strong in the light, even as Sidious knew that had to be false, since he could turn in the future.

He would have to adjust his plans, to ensure that the best of the options happened.  Kenobi would have to turn, and then Sidious would rule with Anakin and Kenobi at his side.

Sidious sighed.  That was going to be annoying.  It wouldn’t be impossible, his visions proved it, but Kenobi was far more stable than Anakin.

Still, the Dark always won. He would triumph, and Kenobi would join the Sith.

I hope you all enjoyed the ficlet. I’m not planning a sequel, but I don’t think things go well for… anyone.  (I think this might be one of the “everyone dies” universes, but I could be wrong.  I rather hope I’m wrong.)  But it’s certainly an interesting idea- Sidious realizing that he would ultimately, lose, if he continued as he had been.

Thank you, anvil527up for the beta work!

Summary: After delivering the map to the Resistance, you are sent on another mission to bring back Luke Skywalker. During your trip, you are informed the First Order has attacked the Resistance base and you are quick to return back. Once at the base, you are surrounded and knocked out, only to wake up somewhere you wish you hadn’t be. And the reasoning? Execution.

A/N: So, as requested by some of you, I decided to add another part to transpose seeing as I actually liked the first part and had come up with something for part two. Like mentioned before, this is a sort of emperor/cowboy bebop au that is still set in the star wars universe (confusing, I know). Anyways, enjoy and feedback is welcomed!

Warning: Mentions of death/blood

Standing off to a side, eyeing your bruised knuckles and bloody hand, you let out a breath. The image of the blood dripping down Kylo’s face haunted you, the fresh wound the dressed his skin made your skin crawl. You never intended to cut half of his face open with the knife, but you had.

Anakin Skywalker - Nightmares

Requested: Yes, I combined two requests for this one because they were similar. I hope that’s alright. (  What about Anakin having those nightmares about him stabbing the Reader in the abdomen from behind with a red lightsaber, and wakes up and starts crying because he is afraid that the monster he is trying to protect her from is himself. The reader wakes up too and holds him and calms him down. ) + (  Could you write an image where Anakin has a nightmare and asks the reader to sing to him to help him fall asleep again? )

Prompt: Anakin wakes up after having a nightmare about turning to the dark side and killing the reader, so the reader reassures him that won’t happen and gets him to fall asleep again by singing to him.

A/N: I actually really like the way this imagine turned out! And I apologize for not actually mentioning what song the reader was singing, but nothing came to mind in the moment haha.

It started with him shifting in his sleep. Then you would notice him starting to sweat. He then started mumbling, which progressed to yelling. And then he would wake up in tears, immediately looking to his side to make sure you were still there. This was what had been happening for the past few nights now. You would wake up when you felt the bed shifting and look to your side to realize Anakin was having nightmares again, just like the ones he had just before his mother died. You were just about to wake him when he shot up, causing you to gasp in surprise.

“Y/N? Where are you?” He panicked, looking around in the dark trying to see where you were.

“I’m right here, Ani. It’s alright.” You said, placing a hand lightly on his bare arm, moving closer to him to assure him you were fine. He sighed in relief and looked at you, now being able to see you fully with you being closer and the moonlight shining dimly through the window. “Can you please tell me what these nightmares are about? This has been going on too long and I want to help you.”

It was silent for a few moments before he decided to answer. “They’ve been about you. Every single one of them, and they’re all the same.” He said with a shaky voice and you felt him tense up slightly.

“And what happens in them?” You asked hesitantly. You knew he was never entirely comfortable with telling you, but he needed to talk about it and you needed to know so that you could help him.

“You die.” He said, staring straight ahead instead of looking at you. You can tell that he’s starting to cry and that’s when you know just how much this was affecting him because Anakin didn’t cry often. You pulled him closer to you so that you were both still lying down and his head was resting in the crook of your neck. It was a few moments before he continued to speak. “And every time, I’m the one that kills you. I come up behind you with- with a red lightsaber and I just kill you.”

He ignores you and continues, more tears streaming down his face that you feel landing on your skin. “It always starts out with us talking. You pleading for me to return to the light side, to come back to you. You look so hurt…so broken. And then I start pacing around you, saying how I’ve changed. How I’m not the Anakin Skywalker you once knew.” He paused, as if he was recalling exactly what happened. “Then you continue to plead, telling me that you know there’s still good in me. But right after you say that is when I kill you. And there’s no guilt or- or remorse or anything on my face.” He’s almost sobbing now, and you’re rubbing his back gently to comfort him, trying to get him to calm down.

“Anakin, that isn’t going to happen. This isn’t going to become reality like the nightmares you had before.” You said, shaking your head and trying to believe your own words. It was a 50/50 chance with this, really. But you weren’t afraid of dying, and you knew that Anakin could never become a Sith like he was in his nightmares, it was impossible.

“But what if these come true. They were just like the other ones. Everything was so clear, so…real.” He said quietly, looking up at you from where his head rested.

“They won’t. We won’t let them. You’re a good person, Ani. You could never become like that. We’re here together, right now, and I’m alive, okay? You know you’d never kill me.” You said, placing a kiss to his forehead and running your hand through his hair gently, trying any way possible to calm him down.

“I won’t let this happen. I can’t. I’m going to protect you, I promise you.” You felt him nod and lean up to look at you. “Nobody is ever going to hurt you. Especially not me.”

You sighed and nodded, too tired to argue with him and you didn’t want to argue. You just didn’t want him to get hurt while trying to protect you. “You should get some sleep.” You said.

He nodded. “I know. But I don’t know if I can get back to sleep after that. I’m afraid I might have the same dream again the second I close my eyes.”

You thought for a moment, trying to think of a way to help him sleep. An idea popped into your head suddenly and you looked at him. “Do you want me to sing to you? It might help.” You said with a light shrug.

He gave you a tired smile and nodded, placing a quick yet loving kiss to your lips before cuddling into your side again.

A song quickly came into your mind. It was a song that you and Anakin had once danced to quite some time ago, but you knew he would recognize it and hoped it would calm him a little.

You started out humming the tune, and then quietly sang the words in a soft voice while lightly stroking his hair again. You never thought you were the best singer, but Anakin liked it when you sang for him. He said that your voice relaxed him which was why you suggested singing him to sleep.

By the time you had finished the song, Anakin was asleep again and you smiled, gently kissing his forehead before closing your eyes and drifting off into your own peaceful sleep, hoping that Anakin wouldn’t have those nightmares again.

Obi-Wan Kenobi - Reckless

This is an idea I had after watching the Zygerria arc on season 4 of TCW, and I just could not let go of it till I wrote it. I know I said I would do everything in order, but plot bunnies can be total bitches sometimes and I’m total trash for Obi-Wan. Also, it gives you guys a taste of what my Star Wars writing will be like, when I do get to those requests.

Warnings: Slavery, torture, kidnapping, swearing and violence. Be careful, everyone!

They have him. They have you too, and their clawed hands are like iron around your arms, but that doesn’t matter, because oh, god, they have him. You swallow back the panic rising like bile in your throat, eyes flicking secretively around; the last time you turned your head you got slapped. It’s hard to focus; the dim red lights and sickening smell, the jarring motion of the ship as it jerks into hyperspace; all of these are blotted out by the feel of a chain around your neck and the heavy, ugly presence of the Zygerrian slaver holding you. Your hand is itching to go to your hip, to hold the familiar grip of your lightsaber, but you know it won’t be there.

anonymous asked:

ok so your favorite sw character is kylo ren, tell me your reasons

i answered this about 10 times, but this time i will answer chronologically and with my exact thoughts when i saw each of these scenes

  • when hE USED THE FOrce to stop poe from killing him like damN ur a mighty fucker i kinda like you but you don’t have a chance in becoming better villain than vader
  • when he took off his mask i was soLD you need to understand i thought adam is not my type before i watched the movie i was questioning everything but the moment he took off his mask something possibly my soul connected to him and in that moment i knew he would be my absolute favorite but at that point i didn’t know why
  • when he tortured rey by saying hurtful stuff about her past but to me it felt like he was talking about himself more than about her when he tortured poe he went in with a mask with a shell, here she made him let down his guard, he showed his real self, he felt loneliness and tragedy in her that he has been feeling for years which made me emo about him and lemme tell you i don’t get emo about many characters
  • when he threw a tantrum with screaming and destroying everything and fucking scared poor stormchildren away i cried bc it seemed like they know what’s going on like he’s doing this at least once a week
  • when he started crying and confessing han how light is stronger than he imagined that he is torn that he is lost i’M SO emo don’t touch me

but here we go to actual part when he had me bound to him forever. thing you need to know before you proceed is that all my life i wished for villain that would be exactly as i imagined, so here we go:

  • he has a chance to forgive his father. he has a chance to go back, to be with his parents again, to hug his mother, to feel loved. he could have walked with han and never looked back. he could have taken his life back. most villains at a chance of redemption confess everything and take that chance, they need to feel at peace with themselves again. but not kylo. kylo knew that if he ended the life of the person who helped create his, that that would throw him so deep into the pit of dark site, that he might never return. and he wants it. he is eager to throw everything away for power and for acceptance. we don’t know his backstory, what made him become cruel and what turned him away from han so much, but with this character now, i can only guess that han betrayed him in a way he was not willing to forgive or forget. that han wasn’t the father figure he wanted, even when he was a kid, before he knew of the dark side. he not once mentioned hatred towards leia, he is only raging at han. so he ends his life and goes to the dark side.
  • when he was beating the wound, the conflict in him is still strong because deep down there is still good in him, but he still chooses to do the worst, to prove himself

kylo ren is my absolute favorite because he is reckless, incredibly strong and talented, menacing and cruel, but also terrified of being something other than a monster, he is a villain with incredibly powerful dark side and loyalty to snoke, he is a true threat and to me worse than vader because anakin turned to dark side for love, kylo turned to kill the love. and that to me is the best most complex villain and possibly character i will ever have the chance to meet.
