Anonymous said: Girl, just read something that blew my fucking mind (not in a good way) “I don’t think it is Liam’s kid, but I think he is so in love with Cheryl, that he decided to take the role of a father” WTF? why would he do that? Someone is going to have a solo career, has a kid whose not his own??? Wow common sense not so common anymore.

Yes, because Liam’s expression on those handful of pap strolls just screamed “I’M IN LOVE!”, didn’t it? And when you’re madly in love you spend 97% of your time in another country, avoid even speaking your beloved’s name out loud or refuse to even address the fact that you’re going to be a dad. So now he supposedly agreed to raising a kid that’s not even his with this woman right after they started “dating”? And even though he’d be only 23 at the time and about to launch a solo career that’s going to take him away from the love of his life and their newborn child?

The contortions people are putting themselves into to make this unsavory stunt “fit” their agenda should tell you all you need to know about their mindset. It’s going to continue because in order for them to call this situation out for what it is, they’d have to admit to themselves that they might’ve been biased, unfair or held ugly beliefs that belong solely to themselves and have nothing to do with the boys at all. I don’t see that happening any time soon.

It’s sad and gross and very disheartening.

The fact that you have embraced yourself and chosen to remain single is really comforting. I feel the same way. I dont need a romantic interest and no one can really handle me at the place i am in. I wanted to thank you for being so honest about it cuz everyone around me is weirdly obssesed with being with someone and i felt out of place before.

Oh yes honey! Coming from me a LIBRA RISING a VENUS dominant woman. As a kid i was obsessed with finding a love interest for no reason but because thats what i saw in movies and shows. Especially as little girls we are forced to believe we have to marry we have to cook and clean we have to search for good man and do things for him while he works on his career. I am thankful my parents are not like that and did not teach me in that way. My Mom acts like a father would and my Dad acts like a mother would. No norm in my household tbh. BOTH my parents taught me to not look for anyone at all. THEY TOLD ME I DONT NEED NO MAN. they taught me I need to get my education, get my job, be single all my 20s travel and do everything i want to do before settling down. I do NOT crave romance I do NOT want a relationship. I want money I want good grades I want a career I want to travel and I want to learn languages etc. A partner can wait thats far from what i am looking for. It is tiring seeing ppl so dependent on finding a love interest on the internet which is why i have to take a step back, it is annoying how prevalent it is. it is glorified and its the only thing ppl think life is worth. Its not at all. its not. I am young, i am happy I have fallen inlove with many people: My dog, my family, my friends, my art, my knowledge . That is all i need in life ❤️

OK so this is the last thing I am going to say on the paternity of Shinnosuke because I want to go back to writing more fun meta on SGRS, like my love for Miyokichi, Matsuda’s immortality or whether Shin reciprocated Bon’s feelings.

Anyways the main purpose of this post is the role of Yota and more importantly, Konatsu’s protection of Yota. So first off I’m sure everyone in the fandom can agree that Yota is #1 Dad A+ all round good egg. But he’s not Shinnosuke biological father. At the same time Shinnosuke is an adult running around calling him Daddy. As far as either Yota or Shinnosuke is concerned Yota is his Dad and he’s a really good one. So of course Konatsu would flat out refuse to discuss the biological father because it disregards Yota’s importance. Like yeah Yota raised him but X is his father really. Konatsu isn’t refusing to talk about it because it’s some shameful taboo secret - it’s literally irrelevant to their daily lives and not worth the oxygen.

Give me a story where one of Bruce’s children has a kid (it doesn’t matter who, but Jason would be so sweet as a father) and Bruce is blown away by the fact that he is a grandfather. Where he’s standing there holding this tiny baby in his arms and he’s completely lost for words. He’s never been good with words, but now he can’t even begin to form them.

Because this is something he never expected. Not in a million years did he imagine himself as a grandfather. He had seen his life going down a very specific path when he was young. A very specific, very lonely path. Long term attachments had been outlawed to him by his choice of lifestyle, and children were even more out of the question.

He’d always known what the cape and cowl meant: an end to the Wayne family line. He had no siblings, and no close relatives. No one to continue the historical name, and he’d been ok with it. Or at least he thought he had. So when Dick, then Jason, Cass, Tim, and Damian had come they’d each been a surprise. A happy surprise, a surprise that was to Bruce always fleeting. Especially when he lost them, especially when he got them back.

So no, he hadn’t expected a grandchild. Not when everyone of his own kids had followed his footsteps. They’d all done it in their own unique way, but Bruce still saw what they did as a road with one outcome. That outcome was never settling down, never finding ‘the one’, and never starting their own family.

Yet. Here he stood, holding, not just the next generation, but the third generation of the Wayne name after his parents. Bright and bubbly, in his arms there was life, and with life hope for the future. Not just the future of his family, but the future in general. Because if a man like him could be so lucky to have made it to becoming a grandfather, then the world was better than he’d thought it was.

  • what she says: i'm fine
  • what she means: jughead knew, he knew that FP wouldn't get better after a month, or even a year, and still he told his dad that he believed him and that he'd go live with him. he knew that it wasn't the best situation to put himself in and that even being homeless is better than this, but he agreed to go anyway because it would break his father's heart if he said no. this boy cares so much. he knows he's going to be let down but this is his Dad dammit and he can't help it but to care this much and bless those 30 seconds of clarity FP had to let jughead go with the andrews, it was probably the best thing he's done in a long time for a son that he honestly doesn't deserve, a son that is too good and too pure and what are you talking about i'm not crying, you're crying!

In which Shigeo Kageyama’s family cannot handle the stress of a baby with psychic powers. Because of their fear, they leave their baby with their more-or-less trustworthy babysitter, Reigen Arataka. Reigen bears himself with the responsibility of becoming a single father after months of the Kageyama’s never returning, left to wonder if they’ll ever come back. (Edit: yes reigen’s 18/19 when this happens)

A political AU where

  • Dean Winchester is an omega but he has to keep it a secret because his father is a major presidential nominee and having an unmated omega son would hurt his campaign
  • Dean poses as a beta and often attends night club scenes to pose as the “playboy” type
  • He gets into an argument with his father about it because he doesn’t like the scent blockers and hates hiding who he is
  • It ends badly and Dean ends up drinking at the closest bar, his only desire to be fucked good and hard because he’s an omega and that’s what he likes
  • Its just his luck when the hottest alpha he’s ever laid eyes on, with a scent so enticing that his’s nearly drooling, takes a seat next to him and offers to buy him another drink
  • Dean accepts and the next thing he knows he’s up against a bathroom stall door being fucked within an inch of his life but its so, so, so good. the best sex he’s ever had and he comes (untouched) so hard that he sees stars
  • When the alpha’s knot recedes he’s disappointed that he will probably never see the alpha again and will have to go about his normal, shitty life once more
  • They leave the bathroom separately and Dean never learns his name
  • Weeks pass since the incident and Dean’s life is miserable, until one morning where he starts living in a living hell
  • Because one morning, after weeks since being fucked by a stranger, he wakes up with a sickly sweet scent on his skin: he’s pregnant
  • For days he wallows in the news, thanking the gods that his scent blockers also block the scent of his pregnancy
  • Until the night of the first presidential debate between his father and the rival candidate Naomi Novak
  • Because as her family takes their seats, he catches a whiff of a familiar scent, the one his nose was filled with the night after the argument with his father
  • He whips around to see the alpha from the bar sitting in the seat reserved for “Castiel Novak” the eldest son of his father’s rival, and Dean’s pregnant with his kid
  • And sooner or later, Dean’s going to begin to show it

“Everyone in this room had a rough childhood. Get over it.”

No. Let me stop and explain why this quote pisses me off so much.

Iris’s mother left her at a very young age. So young that she barely remembers her. But she had a loving and generous father who never let her forget how much he cared for her.

Barry’s mother was killed and his father was taken to prison. But he still had a wonderful relationship with his dad and had a really good family that took him in and gave him everything he ever needed in terms of love.

Leonard Snart had none of this.

Leonard Snart had an abusive father, one who beat and abused both him and his sister, one who never cared about them and would often take out his anger on his own children. His mother is either missing, in jail, or dead, and if she’s dead we can almost wholeheartedly assume that it was because of Lewis. He had to raise Lisa practically his whole life, protect her from their own father, and got into a life of crime to provide for her. He worried about her while he was in prison, probably assuming that Lewis was beating the shit out of her which, in all likelihood, he probably was. He never had anyone who loved him except for Lisa and maybe Mick.

Leonard Snart killed his own father, and even though he hated him, as a child who has been verbally abused her whole life I can say that no matter what you might say, you still have this weird sense of love for your abusers. He killed his own father and probably hated himself because of it.

So no. You cannot tell Snart to “get over it.” You did not have the same childhood he did. You do not have the right to tell him to get over it, just like he can’t tell you to get over yours.

Never, ever tell a victim of abuse to just “get over it.”

Taiyang knows her daughter well. Yang knows her father well. They talk with each other. They UNDERSTAND each other. So much that he knows making these kinds of jokes, as dark and risky as it is, is ok. Because he would never do such a thing if he knew his daughter wouldn’t be ok with it, considering we’ve seen how much he cares about Yang.

Taiyang is a very supporting dad and I love him.

please get started on parent!phan i wanna cry

listen. dan would be the parent to be the hypothetical bad cop. he’d want his kids to be healthy and happy but in the end phil would be the one to give sweets and maybe an extra trip to the cinema. dan would love his kids so much it would be a constant tug in his heart and even if he went out for a few hours he wouldn’t stop thinking about his kids and then he would accidentally start mumbling about them and the ladies sat next to him on the bus would smile at each other because this father obviously loves his kids so much. phil would be a little more detached but not in a bad way because the kids would always go to him for emotional support and to cry about a stolen toy or something and phil would be so happy all the time. he would be more sedate but that’s good because the kids don’t need a second helicopter parent. phil would try to hold dan back from becoming the head of the parent teacher association but dan would be in control of the school within a few months and he would run every fundraiser and event for the school and everything would be meticulous and all the mothers would have a crush on him but dan wouldn’t even notice. phil would bring their kids to all their activities although he’s a terrible driver but the kids would be used to it and when their friends carpool they realize how bad phil’s driving is and tease him for it. phil would press for another dog and the kids would rally behind him and dan can’t say no to his favorite people in the world.

Being Negan’s daughter would include:

-Negan being super protective over you, his only thing to remember his late wife, your mother.

-Going on runs with your dad and him letting you take back whatever you wanted to The Sanctuary.

-Everyone in The Sanctuary bowing to you because you had just as much respect as your father did, no question about it.

-Simon being like a second father to you, Dwight like a brother, but no one would ever be as good as your dad.

-Negan putting you as his top priority, over his people, over his countless wives, over everything.

-Anyone who tries to harm you gets a swift greeting with Lucille.

-Negan allowing you to take the first swing.

-Cute father/daughter bonding moments where he tells you how much he loves you whilst holding you to his side.

-No man would ever be good enough for you in his eyes, to him you were an angel, and if anything were to try and take you away, it would break his heart.

First go at headcanons, let me know if you want anything else and I’ll happily cook something up.

Much love xoxo

Benjamin in every episode - The Well

My father was a good fighter. One of the best in The Kingdom. It was about a year ago. Ezekiel sent his detachment out to clear out a building. There was too many wasted and not enough backup. Eight men didn’t make it out. My father was one of ‘em. But Ezekiel, he’s a lot more careful now. He told me that it, uh, well. He told me he was keeping his deal with that group quiet because he thinks the people would wanna fight. He says that even if we did, we wouldn’t win, at least not without losing people, maybe a lot of 'em.

“I got to know a woman who would bet on the best in us, who bet on people, no matter what the world said about who they were, who they should be. That woman would do anything to save a sick boy—a Nazi boy, even—because she would believe he deserved the chance, as slim as it might be, to live a valuable life. And I knew that was the key, the only way to make sure that your sister’s father wouldn’t prevent that boy’s father from stopping a war. Dixon died in an alley so that son of a bitch Smith could live. But … San Francisco is still here. Millions of people will live because of the choice you made. The goodness in you, Juliana.

I think the saddest thing about Snape is that, had he wanted to, he could have been amazing to Harry. He could’ve stepped up and been a father figure since James wasn’t there, which is good for Harry, and good for him because it meant he would’ve effectively stolen Harry from James since James died. He could’ve helped Harry to overcome his father’s shortcomings.

About that ending - 6x12 meta

Needless to say the sensation of deja vu that I had last night when an episode we were so looking forward to ended up with a bitter sad taste (remember 3x17? Remember 4x04?)

But while it was shocking and sad, and also frustrating and made us really angry to see once more A&E increasing the levelness of Hook’s viciousness in the past in an unnecessary way, I also see something good coming out of it.

When the season started and we learned in episode 6x02 that David father’s death was different than what he thought, a strong theory was that indeed Hook killed him. And back then although it was an upsetting theory (which sadly ended up being true), it did make sense to me that they would do something like that, but not only to “spice things up” “plotly” speaking, but also because this could be an important step for Hook’s redemption arc and the evolution of CS as true love.

Let me explain what I mean here.

Well, the way I see it, it is much much much easier to forgive someone for things he did to others. Emma knows what Hook was, she said she will always choose to see the best in him. And while it is one thing to say it about things he did to Ursula, or things he did while being controlled by the DO’s darkness, it’s an entire different story to follow these words when it comes to hurting first hand someone who she loves very deeply.

Hook eventually was the reason David grew up without a father. True, if he wasn’t there he would have died anyway, but he had a chance to save his life back there, to bring little David back his father. And he didn’t because darkness was eating him from the inside at that moment. It was actually the first crime we saw Hook makes that wasn’t out of passion but pure cruelness…

But as always with these things, the past is coming to slap him in the face 50 years later. Hook is learning again and again that no matter what he does, how he redeems himself, his past actions will always have consequences. And now it’s a big test for him. On one hand, no one knows! He can take it with him to the grave! David found peace, he gave him his blessing to marry Emma, things are better than ever with David, and stably perfect with Emma. But as we saw in the promo, Hook can’t just hold something like that back. He is a completely changed person and he has never since the beginning of his redemption disowned his own past actions and he always took responsibility over them. And as many times before, he came back to the place where he feels unworthy of her.

That horrible familiar place for him that he finally was able to overcome, sneaking up on him again.

This point where Hook is at now, is maybe the most challenging part of his on going redemption arc. Because unlike all the other times that he owned his past actions, this time doing the right thing might get him to lose the person he loves most, rather than to get her closer to him. I think the only time Hook was in that same place, where telling the truth may lead to Emma pulling back from him was in 3x05/3x06 when he decided to let the gang know that Neal was alive. He just kissed Emma and had the possibility of starting something with her when he learned her “big love” was still alive. Back then he chose to tell the truth at the cost of losing the opportunity to be her new love maybe, and it ended up causing the exact opposite because she admired his actions back then, and eventually the love she felt for Neal wasn’t as strong as he thought and she ended up repeatedly choosing him instead.

Now it’s even harder, because while back then Emma was a “potential love” here she’s already his completely, in a sacrifice my own heart for you kind of way. He can lose it all if he would choose to do the right thing here, or live with the guilt and the familiar sensation of being unworthy of her for the rest of his life. This is maybe the most significant point in his redemption arc than, and by the things we saw in the promo, seems like once more, our beloved pirate will indeed choose to do the right thing, which is another big incredible step in his redemption because it’s one thing to do the right thing when you know people will admire you for it, and a complete different thing to do it, while you know it may cause people to never look at you the same again, or even leave you.

As for Emma, I think this is also a big test for her love for him. Again, it is one thing to forgive over things he did to others than things he did to someone she loves. But as always, I’m sure she would once more surprise him here. It may not happen during one conversation, like when he tells her what’s wrong and she end up forgiving him during it, she may need to take some time, maybe having her own session with Archie about it (which btw, it’s amazing and good that he went to him with it!), but she will forgive eventually. Charming will forgive him eventually, too! But this would be the biggest test of accepting Hook as a changed man.

One thing for sure, I don’t doubt that this horrible thing will end up making their relationship even stronger.

its just really fucked up how elliot grew up in a household where his mother constantly abused him and his sister, and the one person he could confide in was his father and even he ended up pushing him out of a window, breaking the illusion that even someone who was a “safe person” would abuse him as well

it’s just really fucked up, and i wish esmail would delve a little deeper into exactly how abusive edward was, even if it wasn’t as physical as his wife was, because he’s a little bit too idealized in the fandom as a good father. he stood back and did nothing while his wife left cigarette burns and broke their skin with her nails and psychologically destroyed his kids

Trevor Noah opened up to NPR’s Renee Montagne today about growing up mixed-race in apartheid-era South Africa, where his parents’ relationship was illegal. His mother, he said, had to disguise herself as a maid so people wouldn’t ask why she was in a white area:

She looked like she was my caretaker as opposed to my mother. The same would go for my father, not holding my hand or anything because he couldn’t be seen to be the father of a mixed race child. You know, I’m running down the street, and he’s running away because he doesn’t want us to get into trouble — and I think I’m playing a game. And what you don’t realize is that they’re basically running away from the law.
