because he makes her happy

anonymous asked:

Hey I was wondering if you could analyze lucrezia and cesare relationship in the Borgia ??? Thank you!!

Ah, Cesare and Lucrezia. This will be so long.

I need to preface the analysis by saying I usually hate the inclusion of incest in anything that isn’t a Toni Morrison novel but The Borgias handled Lucrezia and Cesare’s situation with so much nuance and Holliday and Francois have outstanding chemistry that I got sucked in to that ship.

The progression of Cesare and Lucrezia is actually quite interesting because the underlying tension between the two of them is there from the pilot. The first time we’re introduced to their relationship, Lucrezia is spying on Cesare having sex:

and then he chases her around the courtyard but there is a balance between playful innocence:

and very potent sexual tension:

They spoke like lovers:

their gazes were always charged with this tension that clearly made the other feel something but I think that something remained unrealized between them:

and yet Cesare’s protectiveness of Lucrezia was very much a protection of her innocence:

He disagrees with the marriage to Giovanni Sforza and wordlessly warns him against consummating their marriage during the wedding ceremony because he doesn’t want Lucrezia to grow up too quickly, it’s a very brotherly concern.

Even when Juan has to kill Djem who Lucrezia was infatuated with

and Lucrezia is devastated, Cesare is devastated for her, there is no sense of jealousy, there is no sense of possessiveness, he’s just hurting because his sister who he loves dearly is hurting.

At the same time, as one of the aforementioned gifs suggest, there was always a sense of who would be a priority in their hearts, there was always this knowledge that no man or woman would ever be able to inspire in them such strong feelings even though at the time, Cesare had this dark infatuation with Ursula.

When I think things begin to turn for Cesare and Lucrezia is after Lucrezia has been repeatedly abused by Giovanni. Cesare is devastated by the loss of Lucrezia’s innocence (and previously stated he would cut out the heart of the man who dared hurt her)

But I think her loss of innocence:

(compared to pre-Sforza)

is what sort of catalyzes Cesare into starting to view Lucrezia as a woman to avenge and not a little sister to protect.

While with Cesare, well Lucrezia found a safe space with Paolo and she loved him dearly and she knew he loved her, but I don’t think she felt, like, wholly safe (which she says in season 3) or completely herself unless with Cesare no matter how much she loved Paolo. You see her relax with Cesare in a way she couldn’t even do with him:

Her entire body exhales. I think after the ordeal with Giovanni, she truly began recognizing that. So the end of season 1 is the beginning of realization for the both of them.

In season 2, Lucrezia has been hardened first by the rape and abuse she had to endure during her marriage to Giovanni and then by Paolo’s death at the hands of Juan.

In season 1 Cesare was concerned with preserving Lucrezia’s innocence but this season Cesare wanted to make Lucrezia happy and he wants to do so himself:

And the above moment between them is also a turning point for their relationship because Lucrezia asks Cesare if he can make her happy as they talk about Paolo, “Could he make you smile?” “Can you?” and he delivers her a moment of levity:

Which re-establishes this theme of Cesare and Lucrezia knowing each other’s hearts better than anyone, thy actually don’t spend much time together in season 2 but when they do, they’re knowing each other and seeing each other:

which is a mixture of ferocious vengeance, like when Cesare makes good on his promise to kill the man who harms her:

and then gives her the knife he killed him with:

as well as a mixture of peace and lightness and comfort, no longer playful innocence, but a breath of fresh air:

and the realization between them grows:

that by the end of the season, they joke about marrying one another

while Lucrezia’s betrothed, who she does care for, notices the tension when they dance:

And then season 3 happens and their relationship gets even more complex while at the same time simpler because the realization is, well, fully-realized, which I think is because of Alfonso. The way Lucrezia cares for Alfonso is almost piteous, like she finds him endearing, she finds him innocent, she finds him to be something to protect and cherish platonically while Cesare disdains Alfonso because he finds his love for Lucrezia weak, he isn’t fierce enough for her, he isn’t severe in his affection, which in a way creates a situation where Lucrezia has to ask this question again:

to which Cesare responds:

so they both know that only they can provide for each other what they need, they’ve experienced that repeatedly by this point:

and because they both aren’t running from that realization anymore, they’re getting bolder:

but of course there’s shame:

which only intensifies the knowledge that they both want something that they shouldn’t want and then they finally give in once Lucrezia discovers once again on her wedding night that she can’t get from Alfonso or from anyone else what she can get from Cesare:

But what I actually enjoy about The Borgias is that the torment between Cesare and Lucrezia doesn’t stop after they finally give in and have sex, it’s not like things get easier, in fact things get so much more difficult because there is such a profound embarrassment and shame that they both feel after what happened:

Lucrezia describes it as a cloud descended upon her and she can’t consummate with her actual husband after what happened:

But those feelings don’t disappear, they eat away at the both of them to the point that Lucrezia breaks down when Cesare tells her that Alfonso’s uncle wants to see them actually consummate their marriage and starts hitting him, saying she loves him:

they’re both tormented by this in a way that’s not just about familial protection, Lucrezia doesn’t want to sleep with her husband especially not in front of his uncle and Cesare doesn’t want her to and that’s why Lucrezia gets her revenge by saying that Cesare has to watch

And when he actually watches her and Alfonso consummate, that is one of the scenes that was hardest for me to watch because it was so layered and so uncomfortable in how layered it was because Cesare is experiencing both pleasure and self-disgust at the same time. Lucrezia and him stare at each other as she has sex with Alfonso, its in fact the only way Lucrezia can even experience pleasure and Cesare is clearly turned on but hes crying at the same time

which leads to more embarrassment and more shame and more running away

but the fact that they’re abstaining from something just further intensifies the attraction/chemistry/love that they make a point of not fully giving in to:

and then that spawns a resentment but also an acceptance that they cant run from but that they can’t do anything with:

Until, once again, Alfonso.

While Alfonso never actually sees them do anything, the tension between them literally drives him to drink and he’s maddened by it,

which essentially causes him to fall on Cesare’s sword. And it isn’t until a further step in Lucrezia’s loss of innocence in which she reveals to Cesare that she knows how to kill Alfonso to end his pain that Cesare stops running from her and embraces the depravity of their bond and Lucrezia accepts that embrace literally with Alfonso’s dead body next to them:

All in all, I find them a very fascinating dynamic. Hope this did what you wanted!

  • what I say: I'm fine
  • what I mean: honestly it looks like the writers have been setting this up from the beginning; there was no other important point to have Ivy at the Sirens party in 3x05 other than to have her see Oswald for the first time in person and see Ed and Oswald's intimate moment after Ed saved the Mayor from Butch so in the future when she's working Oswald she could understand that once Ed had saved his life and feels immensely for him so she can be justified in using her perfume to show both of them the truth that they both love each other like I'm sorry but this is genius she wants to help Oswald be happy because he's her friend and she knows Ed makes Oswald happy and Ed doesn't hate him he loves him back kill me
Understanding Elizabeth Midford

So. I don’t usually involve myself in petty fandom feuds but HOLY. SHIT. This is pissing me off. We’ve gone through 100+ chapters and people STILL don’t understand Lizzy’s character? They manage to rationalize Kuroshitsuji enough that they give Sebastian feelings even though he’s a hungry demon who made a pact with a 10 year old boy because he sensed his soul was broken, desperate, and malleable to more further corruption. They manage to do all this for a DEMON but can’t find it in their hearts to apply that analytical mindset to a darling 14 year old girl whose human emotions drive her every decision?

“She’s selfish! She only wants to make Ciel smile so things can go back to the way they were!”

“She doesn’t understand him! She’s always trying to change him, that bitch!”

“She’s so ANNOYING. Like, her voice!”

“Oh my god, did you see her standing there in the third panel? Like who does that! RUDE.”

So in an attempt to bring some basic level of cognition into these…“arguments” I’m going to go through them one by one and you can disagree if you like. But please refrain from using derogatory terms, unsubstantiated arguments, and referrals to “proofs” that are nothing more than blog posts made from those who wish to paint Kuroshitsuji in terms more favorable to them and whatever else they ship.

1. “She’s selfish! She only wants to make Ciel smile so things can go back to the way they were!”

Elizabeth Midford is, by far, the LEAST selfish person in the whole damn manga. This girl spent most of her childhood loathing the physical strength she possessed because the person she loved didn’t like it. She chose to shoulder her anguish by HERSELF because she didn’t want to burden Ciel (or her brother or her mother or her father) with her personal worries.

Lizzy is also incredibly aware that things can NEVER go back to the way they were. She expresses this concern to Sebastian when she admits that she wishes Ciel would talk to her more and that the only reason she overdoes her cuteness is because she wants to see Ciel smile. Why are comedians so outlandish and over-the-top? Because they want to see their audience laugh. Lizzy took that mindset and applied it to her goal of cheering Ciel up. Furthermore, the Easter egg chapter proved ONCE AND FOR ALL that Lizzy is perfectly aware of the change that’s occurred within Ciel—that he’s no longer the happy, smiling boy of years past.

Lizzy KNEW Ciel didn’t remember why the egg was nostalgic and if she was really selfish, she would’ve thrown a fit—had a full on temper tantrum then and there but instead, what does she do? She outwits the game master himself. Lizzy sets up an Easter egg hunt that she made up completely off the cuff, wears a happy smile throughout the entire event, and when Ciel hands her the egg what does Lizzy do? She laughs and wishes that the egg would bring CIEL lots of happiness. HOW IS SHE SELFISH? HOW. Selfish would be throwing a tantrum because Ciel didn’t remember the way things used to be. Selfish would be bringing up the past EVERY FRIGGIN SECOND. Selfish would be forcing Ciel to comply to the shared etiquette of their past.

Instead, Lizzy is SELFLESS. Instead of throwing a tantrum, Lizzy wishes Ciel happiness. Instead of bringing up the past, Lizzy tries to ignore it because she knows it makes Ciel uncomfortable—that’s why she’s never asked him about “that month” even though she desperately wants to know what’s happened to the boy she loves. And instead of forcing Ciel to behave the way he used to (sweet, sympathetic, loving), Lizzy is learning to accept him for who he is now—how many times has Ciel ignored her? How many times has Ciel left the country without telling her? How many times has Ciel purposely hidden things from Lizzy and then disregarded her concern with a wave of his hand? Lizzy is learning to accept this new Ciel—this closed off, distant Ciel because she KNOWS something terrible must have happened to him. Because instead of crying and whining like she did at the beginning of Black Butler when Ciel refused to take off his ring, Lizzy has learned to ACCEPT. And that, my dears, is called character development—something Ciel hasn’t undergone since the beginning of this manga.

2. “She doesn’t understand him! She’s always trying to change him, that bitch!”

There is NOTHING about Ciel that Lizzy is trying to change. If anything, it’s Sebastian who’s always prodding and provoking Ciel to become darker—more cruel, less empathetic, and more focused on getting his revenge. She threw a party for Ciel at the beginning of the manga because she thought that might make him smile—fun colors, fine music, seeing Bard and Finny crossdressing…heck, even Ciel took a page from Lizzy’s book when he dressed the F5! It probably took Lizzy HOURS to choose Ciel’s outfit, decorate the mansion, coordinate the whole event and it probably hurt like hell to see Ciel dismiss all her hard work so casually.

As a reader, it’s easy for us to say “HELLO. Doesn’t she know? He was abused and tortured by the cultists! He made a deal with the devil to escape that wretched place, how could this dumb broad think a simple party would cheer him up?!”

And the answer is…Lizzy has NO IDEA what happened to Ciel. (Hindsight is a gift, ain’t it?) She has no idea that he became so desperate to escape the cult that he sold his soul to a starving demon. Lizzy is does not know what Ciel went through and this boy is doing his damnedest to make sure Lizzy never knows. Because he wants to keep her pure, ignorant, and encased in light.

People always point to the party chapter as Lizzy trying to “change” Ciel but all she wanted was to put a smile on his face. She even admits that she overdoes it at times but everything she’s done comes from a good place. Everyone wants to see their loved ones happy and Ciel is the boy Lizzy loves best of all—of course she’s going to try everything under the sun to try and put a little smile on his face.

And Lizzy DOES understand Ciel, to the best of her ability. She’s never once asked Ciel (or Sebastian) about his time in the cult. She uses games to figure out Ciel’s secrets. (Ex: Easter egg hunt—this is where Lizzy knew Ciel was only pretending to remember their Easter tradition and where Lizzy’s suspicions were confirmed—something life changing and drastic DID happen to Ciel during “that month.”) She doesn’t force Ciel to take her to public events because, let’s face it—as the only daughter to a high ranking marquess that serves directly under the queen, Lizzy’s bound to be invited to dozens of soirees a week. And as a gentlewoman of the aristocracy, Lizzy’s going to need an escort. In Victorian times, it was typical that the fiancé escort his bride-to-be but here is Lizzy—sweet, traditional Lizzy—ignoring precedent because she KNOWS Ciel dislikes social events. (Keep in mind, this is information being pieced together by a 14 year old girl who’s been taught to be an “unknowing angel.”)

Elizabeth understands the change that’s come over Ciel, knows that he won’t be interested in the same things he was interested in before. But in spite of Ciel shutting her out, in spite of Sebastian’s constant presence, Lizzy is still working her hardest to try and bring some happiness to Ciel’s life because she loves him. She loves him so much that Bravat was able to take Lizzy’s desperation and devotion and use it against her.

Let’s not forget—the reason Lizzy continued seeing Bravat was because she thought he could help her make Ciel happy.

3. “She’s so ANNOYING. Like, her voice!”

I think this is the most common excuse people use to not like Lizzy. They critique her high levels of energy (even though Finny and Soma are equally vivacious), her love for beautiful things (even though Ciel is probably the vainest little boy in the whole of London, England), and the fact that she “doesn’t understand” Ciel (counterargument already presented above).

You know, in a lot of ways I see Lizzy as a Scarlett O’Hara figure—strong, determined, unflinching in the face of danger. But also very, very misunderstood. Lizzy only behaves with an exorbitant amount of energy because she wants to make Ciel happy —to bring some sunlight into his gloomy, pessimistic world. The end results are not always successful but the intention behind Lizzy’s every action is pure—as pure as Soma’s decision to help Ciel simply because he saw him as a friend. Lizzy puts on a vaudeville for Ciel in a misguided attempt to help him heal and move on from whatever is tormenting him.

4. “Oh my god, did you see her standing there in the third panel? Like who doesn’t that! RUDE.”

Black Butler is told from the perspectives of Ciel and Sebastian. We only get brief glimpses into Lizzy’s psyche so it’s impossible for us to codify her completely. What I do know is that some people out there will always hate on Lizzy—whether it’s because they dislike her voice (well that’s her VA’s fault, not Lizzy’s) or because Lizzy “gets in the way” of someone’s ship. I’m not here to reason with those who refuse to be reasoned with. This is me expressing my adoration for a flawed, misguided, but pure of heart character whose unconditional love for a changed, callous boy makes me admire her all the more.

Oddly enough, people seem to relate “understanding” a person to “knowing exactly what happened to them to make them this way.” And to me, this is really giving Lizzy an unfair shake. By this definition, Lizzy could never understand Ciel because she doesn’t know what happened to him in that one month that’s made him the way he is (reason: he flat out didn’t tell her and uses every opportunity to prevent her from finding out. Ciel is so concerned about protecting Elizabeth’s goodness/light/purity that on the Campania, when Sebastian was slaughtering all those Bizarre Dolls, Ciel shielded Lizzy from seeing the carnage because he wants her to remain innocent and unaware). To quote Albert Einstein, “Any fool can know. The point is to understand.

I think Lizzy understands Ciel—she can sense the pain, the resignation, the drive towards something greater that Ciel is working towards. This is best exemplified in an early chapter (after Ciel’s fallen asleep and Sebastian is serving her tea) where Lizzy expresses sorrow that Ciel won’t tell her anything. Sebastian comforts Lizzy by telling her that while “It’s a difficult question for me as a butler…[I can tell you] one thing…He [Ciel] was able to spend a nice, free day with everyone.” To which Lizzy retorts that she wishes she could believe that. Elizabeth may not know what happened to Ciel during that month, but she understands.

This then brings me to my next and final point—people wanting Lizzy to “accept” the situation by stepping aside and leaving the manga. Well, to quote Michael J. Fox: “Acceptance doesn’t mean resignation; it means understanding that something is what it is and that there’s got to be a way through it.” — And this is exactly what Lizzy’s doing. She’s fighting for a way to help Ciel, to help him move on, to do anything that might benefit it. Lizzy’s accepted the situation but she’s certainly not resigned for it—Lizzy’s a fighter, and she’ll continue fighting for the boy she loves until the very end.

Further discussion is encouraged. But, please remember: refrain from using derogatory terms, unsubstantiated arguments, and referrals to “proofs” that are nothing more than blog posts made from those who wish to paint Kuroshitsuji in terms more favorable to them and whatever else they ship. I am not disparaging other characters or ships—I merely ask that you don’t refer to those “did you know” blog posts that’s caused so much strife in the Black Butler fandom. Thank you.

I saw so many “anti-noorhelm” posts lately that I just have to say something.

I have to remind you of all the good things about William (probably I forget about something, but you got the point)

  1. Yes, he was fuckboy. But he changed. For her. Because he wanted to be with her. At the end of s2 he was completely different person than before.
  2. Remember when Jonas and Chris P get into a fight? And what William said back then? That he would kill somebody who kissed his girlfriend. Because that’s who William is. He don’t want to feel and getting hurt. But when he cares he is loyal and lovely and amazing.
  3. He cares about his friends and this is very very important.
  4. He beat Yakuza guy, when this little shit called Iben per “Slut”
  5. He lost his sister for god sake! He’s family is a mess. He’s brother is psycho.
  6. He prepared blanket and cocoa for Noora
  7. He can play guitar
  8. He offered Noora his bed. He wanted to sleep on a sofa because he knew sleeping with him could be awkward for her
  9. He wanted to make her breakfast
  10. He was with his friends on a spring break but he still thought about Noora
  11. He told her about Jonas and Isabelle
  12. He missed her
  13. He was heartbroken when Noora said she doesn’t like him
  14. This smile when she kissed him? OMG I live for that smile! He was so happy she’s finally his.
  15. This whole scene in bed? They were fucking adorable and so happy and everyone who thinks different must be completely blind!
  16. He tried to protect her from his stupid psycho brother
  17. Noora told him about her family. And he supported her. And it was important.
  18. Okay, he was horny. But he’s a boy! Teenage boy! It’s normal.
  19. He kept their relationship in secret, because Noora wanted it and he wanted to make her happy even when he thought she should tell Vilde about them.
  20. He challenged Noora. He made her see that there are always two side of the same coin. And that’s good. People need people. People learn from other people.
  21. He doesn’t gave up on her when she pushed him away after “bottle accident”
  22. He didn’t want to spend his russ buss time with friends, knowing that something is wrong with her; She was the most important thing for him
  23. When she had a panic attack he just hug her. He hold her until she calmed herself. He made her feel safe, loved and he just lay with her with his arms around her.
  24. He didn’t check her facebook when he had an opportunity; he believed her and trusted her
  25. He wrote fucking amazing article for her
  26. He made her get out of bed and go to Eva’s.
  27. He loves her.
  28. He was going to come for her at any time when she was at Eva’s house
  29. He told her about his family; He opened himself for her
  30. He was angry but he still talked to her because he couldn’t leave without saying goodbye
  31. He was an asshole during this conversation because being rude was his shield for so many years. Yet he came back for Noora because he’s changed. He wanted to be a douche bag like he always was but he couldn’t. He’s not the same person. He needs Noora and want to be happy.
  32. He felt guilty for Nikolai’s behavior
  33. He confessed his guilt on police station
  34. He is totally adorable
  35. He doesn’t deserve so much hate

Often I hear opinion that because of William, Noora stopped being herself, independent and strong. Well bullshit! He didn’t changed her. She just showed her other face: very soft and broken. Seriously, she hasn’t had an easy life. Unloving, lonely, probably with eating disorder. And she wasn’t talk about it with anyone. She kept everything inside, pretending that she is okay. She never was. William didn’t changed her. He figured her out.
He showed her she doesn’t always has to be perfect, that she can break down and he’s not going to judge. That it’s okay to trust someone and that he loves her defects as much as everything else. He made her feel comfortable and loving and safe.

And I can’t believe he could have another girl in London.

And I hate Thomas that he left and ruined my Noorhelm.

And I am sorry for my English, but it’s not my native language.

I guess that’s all.

Anyone agree?

Persever to Enjoy

Izaya doesn’t think of himself as a coward. He regularly faces situations that he’s sure would reduce most people to stammering terror, laughs in the face of danger that would drop most to their knees to plead for their lives. Shizuo tells him he’s reckless, that he’s an adrenaline junkie, that he should be more careful in almost everything he does; Izaya isn’t afraid of the yakuza, or physical danger, or heights, or crowds. He can and does deal with a whole range of things accounted frightening or even downright deadly, depending on the circumstances, and as a rule he never experiences anything more than a shiver of excitement more pleasant than otherwise, if the situation is truly dire enough.

And just at the moment, he is absolutely terrified.

“Izaya,” Shizuo says from alongside him, his voice dropping into that tolerant range that would draw irritation from Izaya’s lips in an ordinary situation, that would pull frustration over his tongue if he dared trust the thrum of panic in his throat to coherent sound. “Are you going to be okay?”

Izaya can’t answer out loud. He’s afraid if he opens his mouth he’s going to whimper audibly, and if he does that he thinks he might stop walking entirely, and if he does that he doesn’t think he’ll ever be able to move forward again. He ducks his head into a nod instead, a sharp movement that he’s sure looks exactly as insincere as it feels.

whatever you do, don’t forget about how raphael was turned into this monster (or at least raphael thought so about himself). don’t forget about how he was left alone and killed his friends. don’t forget about how he wanted to kill himself because he hated what he became. he hated what he had done.

raphael santiago saved himself. and he deserved so much better.

ok but you know what i just realized today?

sakura didn’t just wait for sasuke again simply because she loved him. i mean yes, of course that was the “simple” reason, but really, when you gotta wait an undetermined length of years like she had to, it’s definitely not as plain as that. love sometimes just isn’t enough to make you wait. especially, like some antis assume, if she isn’t getting what she wants out of the relationship (i.e. sasuke loving her/being there for and with her/being a present parent/etc).

so why did she wait? because she was happy. IS happy. sasuke makes her happy. he is a good husband, one who gave and gave and gave enough into this relationship to make her know and understand that what they had was fucking worth it. it was real and true and deep.

sasuke loved sakura so intensely right that sakura knew without a doubt that her husband would come back, that it was worth letting go and waiting for potentially a decade or more—because they were so fantastically happy together and would always fucking be fantastically happy.

she didn’t just wait for him because she loved him, she waited for him because what they had was so good that she knew it was so, so worth it. :’)

Making History | 1.01

I’m from the future, 2016.

And I was bored there, and lonely, and living in the shadow of my father. So I found a way to travel through time, and every place I went I’d try to become someone else, until I met you.

anonymous asked:

I was on Youtube and there is this one video called "Top 10 Worse Couples in Anime" and it has Gochi as the thumbnail (didn't watch it since I didn't want to give views). Even worse, since I watch a lot of Dragon Ball videos, I see the link to said video everywhere. Can you write why Goku x Chichi is good to cheer me up?

I haven’t watched the video on youtube yet, but I saw brief post made about it on tumblr and other gochi fans were upset about too…. :(

And sure I can do that for you anon !  💕 ^_^ ((I’m planning on making a proper tag that way other gochi fans can look at it when they feel sad. Like maybe “Gochi analysis” or “Gochi posts” ? but for now you can look at the regular gochi tag in this blog. And see why other people like this couple and why they are not bad like other people think.  ))

List of Why Goku x Chichi is a good couple! :D

((If you’re a Gochi fan and want to express why you love the couple too please tag this blog! :D @57fandom59   💕  ))

1. When they first met they instantly became buddies/friends. They just connected.  This is funny to think about because they didn’t even have a rivalry like Goku’s other friends xD The most that ever happened between goku and chichi is that she got mad for 1 second cause of the pat pat he did.

But then you see her quickly giggle it off and instead forms a little girly crush on him. But overall, NO rivalry between them. They got along very well. xD

((Also note how on this one episode Goku offers Chichi an apple (goku only offers you his food when he really likes you as a person)  and he spends some time to hang out with her. He feels so relaxed next to her that he even falls asleep. xD ))

2. WHAT EVER CHICHI WANTS HIM TO DO HE DOES IT. Like gaaaaahhh that is so cute!!! >< You see him tell her this as a kid

*boom they get married years later (even though he forgot his promise. BTW I wouldn’t blame him for forgetting cause it’s been years and plus goku had so much stuff happen in his life it is easy to forget. PLUS Chichi looks kind of different from when she was a kid. but regardless of him forgetting he still married her because he remembered the promise he made and that he wants to make her happy. ))

((Also notices how when they do get married, you can see it in his face that he is happy for his decision! xD He is such a goofball I swear/// ))

THEN as an adult he still does what makes her happy;;;; Like JC this boy is too cute to this girl.

For example, in the future Chichi tells him to get his driver’s licences.

So he does. THEN chichi tells him to get a job. He does it. And is a provider for his family now. (he has 2 jobs actually, farmer + Security guard ).

And when she tells him to get the groceries he gets them for her. xD

3. GOCHI HAS LOTS OF THINGS IN COMMON : Both martial artists, both can ride nimbus, both have black hair and black/brown eyes etc.

4. They’re height difference! :’D  I know this is not a big deal but to me it’s cute because the boy was so much shorter than her

((few years later. Goku is getting there but is still shorter than chichi haha xD ))

((few more years later Goku is finally taller than her! ! xD ))

Then BAM he just gets so much taller than her that I just asdfasdfasdfasdf *explodes*

Not only does Min Hyuk tell Bong Soon not to go on diet but he has either cooked or bought food for her 5 FREAKING TIMES IN 2 EPISODES FROM WHICH 3 TIMES WERE DURING ONE SINGLE DAY!!! How can you not fall for the man who actually feeds the heroine on regular basis and forbids diet to her!

Futhermore, he always finds all these adorable excuses so he could buy and eat it with her.

Except for that one time when he learned how close to BS’s home those terrible assaults happened, that THE FOOD ACTUALLY BECAME THE EXCUSE, so he could cheer her up (because he had already noticed how the mention of food always makes her happy) and had a reason not to leave her alone. And then he apparently even dropped her off.

He even loves Pa Oh’s her father’s walnut pie and INVITES HER TO EAT IT WITH HIM AGAIN!

Six Times Voltage Inc Tugged at my Heartstrings

I’ve been playing Voltage games for about four years now, and I have to say, there were moments in certain routes that made me Feel Things™. Generally, Voltage games aren’t really known for being cynical or overly emotional. Heck, their games, while having some mature content, mostly have an optimistic feel to them. However, there were some moments in particular that stood out to me—those scenes were written powerfully enough to shake me to the core.

I have to admit, it was difficult for me to select a few moments from hundreds of routes, but I tried my best to narrow it down as much as I could.

Disclaimer:

  • I limited it to one character per game to avoid repetition.
  • I haven’t played every Voltage game (or route for that matter). The moments I’ve chosen only come from the games I’ve played.
  • I didn’t include SLBP because I only started getting into it recently (plus I don’t know too much about the other lords to make solid conclusions about them lmao).
  • This is all my personal opinion, so that means you probably won’t share the same views as I do, which is cool (I’d actually appreciate it if you told me what your favorite moments were :D).

Anyhow, let’s begin! (long post below):

On Bong Soon’s first day as a full-time employee, Min Hyuk PREPARES FOR HER A WELCOME RECEPTION, BUYS HER A WELCOME GIFT AND PUTS HER EMPLOYEE BADGE ON HER! He even discharged himself from the hospital early against medical advice so he could be with her. There is something so poignant and beautiful about the way MH personally puts the badge on BS’s neck and about the way how willingly and happily she lets him and even leans her head towards him. It’s such a little gesture of appreciation and closeness but as mentioned many times before, it’s these small gestures that in the end are so important and unforgettable.

I already talked about how MH’s been subtly giving BS all these little gifts and I just want to add how much it means that he doesn’t wait for the usual reasons like Christmas, birthday or Valentine’s day, but gives them to her because he wants to make her happy - because she wants them, needs them or just because he thinks it would make her smile. In that way, he kind of reminds you of BS’s dad who secretly hid all that money for her so she could buy herself something nice because he wanted her to be happy. It’s not to say that materialistic things can give a person permanent happiness, but MH’s presents are not some useless luxurious things, but truly things that show his consideration for her, be it food because she loves to eat, the computer because she wants to create a game, the job of her dreams (sort of) or the employee badge because that’s the thing she wanted the most in the world. And all these things reveal how much MH knows BS; what are her dreams, hopes, needs,…

And then you have GD who gave her his spare taser. The thing is that it would be a practical, sweet and thoughtful present for any other woman, but for BS it’s UTTERLY USELESS; showing that he knows absolutely nothing about the woman she is and in more ways than just one

bi ron weasley who needs until he is 13 to figure out what that feeling is that he sometimes gets towards other boys. it’s not jealousy for how much cooler they are than him. it’s not aggression out of nowhere. he likes them

it takes him a while to figure things out. he likes girls. but sometimes there are such attractive guys around and god watching Quidditch gets so hard because practically every single player is so good looking

then the fourth year rolls around and with it krum who hunts him to his sleep and there is hermione and it is all so goddamn much for him, even more as he is starting to question whether he might have had a crush on harry in the past because ?? maybe he isn’t just disappointed in a platonic way about their argument??? he doesn’t know

but it gets better when krum leaves and when lavender shows interest in him he is trying to make her happy because hey maybe he is straight at all? it doesn’t work with her as a person and it also doesn’t work because he keeps questioning his sexuality and is loaded with anxiety and pressure most of the time. if he wants to be better than his siblings or his friends or at least as good as them he can’t be queer can he?

it only gets better after the war, after he gets together with hermione and starts spending more time with luna. she knows so much about lgbt* topics and he listens and listens and one night she just looks at him and says “you realise bisexuality exists and is a valid thing?”

he tries not to cry but he can’t hold it back. he is bi, he is in love with a woman, never had a relationship with a guy, and he doesn’t plan to ever be because he loves his wife and all of that is okay. he is okay. he is bi and that’s okay
