beauty tip 1

✨🌸✨🌸✨ ~phil’s beauty tips~ ✨🌸✨🌸✨

1. use hair spray to hold your fringe in place

2. use dry shampoo before sleep because the night is when your hair releases natural oils

3. put toothpaste on your zit  before you go to sleep bc it will dry it out and don’t pop zits or else they’ll scar

4. don’t drop things on your feet because it will make them bruise

5. drink lots of water. stay hydrated

6. don’t be afraid to moisturize

7. cleanse in the shower and then moisturize after. right now he uses clinique for men moisturizer but gendered skincare is ridiculous. he’d use the regular clinique but it was a xmas present

self care "(beauty)" tips

1. Ditch the overpriced products and make your own toner using apple cider vinegar and water.

2. Get a gentle cleanser, from brands like Cetaphil, CeraVe, and/or Simple Skincare for example.

3. Use two different towels for your body and for intimate when showering.

4. For soft hydrated skin use baby oil gel after a shower, if you are feeling like you need extra moisture, follow up with a good lotion by Vaseline or Palmer’s Cocoa Butter.

5. Use an oil as a nightly moisturizer, yup, even if you already have oily skin. It helps give you a natural glow and hydrate your skin without being over powering. Some of the best oils are RMS beauty oil, Josie Maran’s Argan Oil, and more on the simpler side: any kind of vitamin E oil.

6. Use sunscreen or a moisturizer with SPF as a daily moisturizer! Even if it’s a cold and dark day. UV intensity is always there and with protection you can prevent and subside acne scars and dark spots, as well as any sun damage to your skin.

7. Use an eye cream to combat dryness under your eyes and also for your makeup (if you wear any) to lay down smoother.

8. Let your boobs and your vagina breathe every now and then. You don’t always need to wear a bra or panties if you’re going to bed, and if you feel most comfortable with them, wear bralettes that aren’t overly tight, and loose cotton panties. Trust me, you’ll feel a bit freer.

9. Buy an at home foot-spa, ConAir has great ones for reasonable prices. Sometimes it’s good just to get home and have some you-time.

10. If drinking water is hard for you, make detox waters! You can google all kinds of recipes from adding simple cucumbers and lemon slices to even getting creative and adding watermelon and berries. It will get you more excited to drink water and also add some flavor if that’s what you need.

11. Massage your scalp. This increases blood flow and in result helps your hair to grow. If your goal is for hair growth, use one of your favorite hair growth products from oils/greased to massage into your hair as you do it. For example (and my favorite): Jamaican Black Castor Oil.

12. If your lips are chapped and it seems like even chapstick and lip balms aren’t having an affect, use a lip scrub and finish off with just a dap vitamin e oil.

13. Eat fruit. If you’re hungry and it’s late at night: eat fruit. If you’re hungry and there’s “no food in the house”: eat fruit. If you’re hungry but pressing on time: eat fruit. EAT FRUIT! EAT FRUIT! EAT FRUIT!

14. Moisturize your eyelashes. I know, it’s something we hardly think about. But we moisturize our hair and skin, think about how little we touch our lashes unless it’s with makeup? Moisturizing your lashes will stimulate growth and maintain its health. Vitamin E oil or a little dap of aloe vera gel would work.

15. TRIM. YOUR. ENDS. Don’t hang on to dead hair or split ends simply for length. Otherwise your hair will just keep breaking where it’s already broken and stay the same length that it is. Healthy hair is “good hair.”

16. If you have oily or acne prone skin use a very gentle but affective form of exfoliation every other day, such as a konjac sponge.

17. Remove makeup with micellar water, it’s super refreshing and will lift every bit of makeup from your face

Sugar Baby Beauty Tips Pt. 1

Skip false eyelashes! Having on a heavy set of lashes can make you look tired and your eyes to look droopy. Especially during night time, when the light often hits your face from above, the false eyelashes will cast a shadow that makes your eyes darker and accentuates dark rings. Stick to regular mascara unless your eyelashes are very short. This will make more light to hit your eyes, and a more flattering look!

Find a schampoo that has salicylic acid in it. This will make your scalp produce less sebum. For me it adds 2 additional days where I don’t need to wash my hair and therefore it gets less damaged.

Only use non-heat products to style your hair. Want curly hair? Use hair rollers overnight. Play around and try different ones to see which ones are most comfortable for you to sleep with. I always sleep in hair rollers before an important date! Bonus if your hair is slightly damp, the curls will hold several days! On an everyday basis I like to sleep with a braid, not as beautiful as with hair rollers but still nice.

After you’ve done your makeup, put a little bit of the same blush you have on your cheeks in the crease of your eye. It should be barely visible, but makes you look so much more healthy and fresh!

You’ve probably heard this everywhere.

It’s a Holy Grail very cheap and you can find it on Amazon, Walmart, Walgreens or any Local Drug Store.

Mini review:

I didn’t really believe it, I saw lots of posts on Pinterest where they said that Witch Hazel helps with pimples, but honestly last time I tried a Pinterest post I ended up looking like a tomato (Note: dont do cinnamon face masks pls). I asked my mom and she was like “yeah it probably helps” Key word: Probably.

Anyways I have combination skin, it doesn’t get irritated that easily except for the damn cinnamon. My cheeks are full of red pimple healing scars (Note: dont pick at your pimples). I used it yesterday at night as a toner and my skin felt very refreshed and clean, when I woke up my skin was soft and a most of my red spots were reduced, I still had pimples yes, but my skin looked glowy and even.

#iWokeUpLikeThis can either be impressive, or frightening, depending on how you start your day!  These five tips will help you achieve better-looking skin every morning without having to buy any new products or adding difficulty to your routine!

1.  Drink a Glass of Water First Thing!

This is one of my favorite beauty tips of all time; when you wake up, the first thing you should do is drink a tall glass of water.  Your body loses a significant amount of water as you sleep (mainly because thats 6+ hours without drinking anything!) and dehydration can have you waking up feeling sluggish and shriveled.  Like a raisin.  Drinking a cup or more of water when you wake up can counteract this dehydration, and will energize you better than any amount of caffeine could!  Starting your day with water will help you think more clearly and will plump up your skin, causing it to look brighter, clearer, and firmer.  Like a grape, instead of a raisin!

2.  Choose Tea over Coffee

Most of us like to start our day with a dose of caffeine.  Coffee is a common beverage of choice (mine too!) but coffee is an inflammatory.  Too much coffee will increase redness and irritation in your skin (amongst other bodily issues).  Any type of skin issue, whether its acne, rosacea, or puffy eyes, will be worsened by a large consumption of coffee.  If you’re not a morning person and can’t imagine leaving your bed without the promise of caffeine, try tea!  Tea is energizing but helps to reduce inflammation instead of causing it.

3.  Glide on Some Eye Cream

What facial feature gives away fatigue the most?  The eyes, of course.  So how do we energize the eye area (our whole face, really) and help brighten our complexion at the same time?  Eye cream!  I scream for eye cream!  Eye cream helps prevent premature aging, hydrates and strengthens the thin skin under the eyes, and when applied right can help increase circulation, which diminishes puffiness and darkness.  Always apply eye cream generously, in a gentle sweeping motion from the inner corner, out and down along the cheekbone.  This helps to drain the fluid that builds up under the eye and hits pressure points - it should feel very relaxing.  Who ever said beauty must mean pain?!

4.  Stretch Your Muscles

Not all of us are the crack-of-dawn-gym-going type, but just a little bit of movement in the morning can reap huge benefits throughout the rest of the day.  Increasing circulation is not only good for your heart and muscles, but for your skin as well.  It increases clarity and brightness, as well as the look of overall firmness. If you don’t feel like running a mile, some simple stretches when you get out of bed will suffice - anything to get that blood pumping!

5.  Sanitize Your Tools

Get in the habit of cleaning your brushes and tools as soon as you use them.  Dirty brushes breed bacteria and will spread dirt and oil to your skin that can cause blemishes.  A simple quick cleanse will prevent all of that.  It’s a pain to devote an hour a week to washing all of your brushes, but if you quickly wash them in the morning after each use, they’ll have the rest of the day and night to dry and will always be clean!  Your skin will thank you!

beauty tip 1: Be you because being yourself is beautiful and you’re beautiful

Candice Swanepoel - Beauty Tips

1. Sun protection is really important for me. My face really burns and it’s not cute! My facialist gives me a really strong sunscreen, and I wear that every day, whether it’s sunny or not.

2. I leave a vanity bag always packed with my favourite stuff so it’s ready to go when I travel. I have my products that I always need: my face wash, toner, moisturiser, sunscreen and body oil - I love Bio Oil.

3. Because I’m in the ocean all the time, I use a lot of different oils and conditioning creams on my hair. In Brazil it’s very normal to take products and your brush to the beach, people dye their hair… so I take all of my conditioning treatments to the beach when I’m there.

4. When I’m on holiday, I try to take a break from make-up. If we have a night out, or go and see a band or something, I’ll do some blush and mascara - but I try to keep it really minimal.

5. Squats are the key! It’s definitely squats! They work for me if I’ve been on holiday and I feel like I haven’t done enough exercise. Even 10 make me feel better. You know what’s good - if you squat and when you come back up, you squeeze really hard. That works.

9. Instead of putting dots of concealer underneath your eyes, draw a trim angular shape instead.
10. Ever have shoes that hurt your feet? Before putting on your regular socks, put a pair of dress on first, then your regular socks, and no more pain!
12. It’s real mascara will change your life. ( I lost mine 😢)
13. Use can use bronzer as a blush, or your base for your eyeshadow.
14. Want matte nails without buying a matte clear nail polish? Boil a small pot of water, and when it is boiled put your nails over it and you have matte nails, or your can breathe on your nails (not blow, breattthhhe 😂)
15. Use a defuser to help give your curls more volume.

That’s it! Hope this helps!!

In my opinion, there’s nothing more attractive than a person who is authentic and natural. And no, this is not a “inner beauty is the only thing that matters” kind of text, because we care about the looks, everyone does.

Yes, I think beauty starts from the inside; but most of all, the way you express yourself, the way you talk, the things you like even the outfit you chose in the morning are a reflection of how healthy your heart, your mind and your spirit is.

Take me as an example. I know who I am. I am a girl who loves to laugh, who loves to spend time with her family, who loves adventure. That’s my personality, but I don’t reflect that to the world. Instead, I reflect a depressed girl, who prefers to stays in her room rather than interact with people and have some fun. And i’m sure i’m not the only one who feels this way, and even maybe sometimes you believed that you can’t do anything about it, because maybe that’s who you are.

Well, there’s only one way to find out. Try these. We all feel empty sometimes, we all feel insecure, like we are not being ourselves.

These are my “how to be true to yourself, find your effortless beauty and be happy” tips:

1. Just do your thing, the right people will come and stay,
last year I’ve learned that lots of friends, people who you trusted, relationships you thought would last forever eventually end, friends grow apart, sometimes, not being anyones fault. It’s sad, you feel disappointed and it gets hard to trust someone again. Don’t worry, don’t close yourself to new relationships, just keep going, chin up (don’t forget it’s ok to cry a little if you need to) you don’t need to chase people to make them feel like you care, respect yourself enough to walk away from a relationship that doesn’t make you feel like you’re adding something good to your life.

2. Exercise, yes, I know, it sucks sometimes. I used to go to the gym after really long days of school and it only made me feel more stressed! That’s not the point at all. So, find something you like to do that involves moving your body, we all have something, and maybe you don’t even know it yet! I used to hate swimming, It was too much physical effort for me atm, but now, it’s one of my favorites activites! You can try something that you stopped doing because you didn’t feel into it anymore, or something totally new! It doesn’t have to be lifting weights, it can be anything from long walks, jumping the rope with your friends (it’s fun k trust me!), biking to ice skating! JUST MAKE SURE IS SOMETHING YOU REALLY REALLY ENJOY.

3. Spend more time with the people you love, life has many twists and turns and you can suddenly find youself miles away from the people you care about (trust me, you never know, i’m moving to the other side of the planet this month!) So, I get it, you feel sad or annoyed with someone or with yourself, but life’s to short to be so upset! Take a deep breath, and talk to them, listen, respect, forgive, smile.

4. Breathe, think before you speak/act sometimes I literally feel like there’s no air in the room, I feel paralized, like drowning or about to explode in anger. Calm yourself down, you don’t want to say anything that hurts someone (even if you feel like it atm, trust me, you really don’t) because the only thing that’s getting hurt is the perspective you have about yourself.

5. Speak your mind! AND learn to listen, your feelings and thoughts are important too. And, most of all, your ideas!! Start with your friends then your family then your co workers. Always respect other opinions and ideas, not because you’re going to hurt their feelings if you don’t! but because maybe it’s a good idea! Anything can contribute to your own knowledge, so actually listen, don’t just stay quiet waiting for him/her to finish talking. When you listen carefully to someone else’s thoughts, they notice and start doing the same with you, and if they don’t, their lost, not yours!

6. Don’t judge, be open minded, be curious for me, the best way to start knowing yourself and being happier. Know different types of people, but actually get to know them, they don’t have to be your bff but it’s always pleasant to have a good talk with them, maybe? For me, people are interesting, they always are, in their own way. But i’m not only talking about people. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover (literally), or a movie because it looks long and boring! a country because you think their people are not nice, or a song because you don’t like the artist! This doesn’t mean you are not allowed to dislike something (I mean, then what’s the point in bieng authentic then?) but don’t judge before you actually know something, and even if you think you know, don’t judge either beause we never get to know everything.

7. Wear what you like,  It changes my mood completely. There are a lot of stereotypes about what a man or woman should wear, or about how black people dresses, or white people, or gay people, or staright dudes or girls… There’s no reason why you shouldn’t look like you want to look, if that makes you happy. If I don’t know how I want to look or what I want wear? I get inspired! Read magazines, mix styles, watch lots of movies or check your favorite celebrites street style. Don’t worry, you are not going to copy them. Never wear something you’re not comfortable with. Be honest to yourself and when you feel like “that’s something I really like, even if I’ve never dressed like this before” then go for it! Don’t worry about what others are going to think about your “new style” or if they think “you’re just trying too hard”, you know what you’re doing, and you like it!

Well these are some of the things I’ve learned in these past few months on how to be authentic, and natural and effortlessly beautiful in my own way! I really hope it helped you guys, I know change it’s hard, and you really can get used to being sad all the time, but, let’s be honest, you’re the only one who knows you’re not at your best atm, so be yourself, but the best version of you, with all your quirks and eccentricity, even your small flaws makes you who you are! But remember, never do/try to be something you are not really happy with.
