Eyeshadow Brushes: When it comes to eye brushes the amount of different bristles, shapes, sizes and densities are endless. I love using different eyeshadow brushes to create different looks and above are the most common variations on the market and the most used ones. Not all of these are essential for beginners or everyday makeup wearers, you can still create gorgeous eyeshadow looks with just a standard “C” eyeshadow brush, a precision crease brush and fluffy blending eyeshadow brush.

Back to the Basics: Lip Liner

A Lip Liner is a coloured pencil designed to help shape and define the lips.

Lip Liners come in a range of different colours and can either be matched to the lipstick you’re wearing or the natural shade of your lips. They can be used to overdraw (or underdraw) the lips. There are also “clear” lip pencils which are designed to be used around the mouth to prevent feathering.

Generally lip liners are applied around the natural lip lines of the mouth before lip colour, but to prevent a ring of lip liner around the mouth once your lip colour has faded, it’s best to fill in your whole lips with your lip liner and follow with a lipstick.

The main purpose of a lip liner is to define the lips and enhance the shape of the lips, but they can also be used all over the mouth as a lip colour or on the cheeks as a blush

Wearing Sunscreen every day may seem like a waste of time and energy, but the environment can still take its toll on your skin even if you’re not at the beach.. Daily sunscreen use has SO many benefits and those reasons alone should make you want to reach for your SPF 30.

How to make your Makeup Last

One of the most common questions I am asked is “How do I make my makeup last?” Long wearing formulas are great and all but for makeup that lasts the whole day a little more effort is required. This tutorial will teach you everything you need to know and every step you need to complete to keep your face makeup in place all day and all night.

Start off by cleansing your skin. I find regular facial wipes work best before makeup application but a good proper cleanse never hurt anyone.
