Guts is looking REALLY nice after living outside this year in his new outdoor pen and losing some weight.
My vet (like all vets) is concerned about the weight of people’s pets, and her specialty is reptiles and so she sees both ends of the spectrum on a daily basis. She has always been very polite but has mentioned more than once that Guts was as she calls it “over-conditioned”. It’s taken a long time, but he’s finally slimmed down and not as heavy! He can move around really well, he loves to dig and climb. He still eats great (still is picky) but I don’t feed him as much.
His color has really become outstanding after living outside though, I can’t believe how red and beautiful he is, and his white pops a lot against the contrasting crimson. He is very, very happy living outside this summer.
