Lena: You should really listen to them.
Ethan: No! I’m sick of listening to your family! I have been chased, spun, hypnotized, paralyzed, and damn near killed by your family! I’ve been going out of my mind for the last two weeks, and now your mother shows up on my doorstep and damn near gives me a heart attack –

YA Lit Meme: The Caster Chronicles [6/10 Book Series]

Every day was like a day out of someone else’s life. Nothing had ever happened to me, and now everything was happening to me – and by everything, I really meant Lena. An hour was both faster and slower. I felt like I had sucked the air out of a giant balloon, like my brain wasn’t getting enough oxygen. Clouds were more interesting, the lunchroom less disgusting, music sounded better, the same old jokes were funnier, and Jackson went from being a clump of grayish-green industrial buildings to a map of times and places where I might run into her. I found myself smiling for no reason, keeping my earphones in and replaying our conversations in my head, just so I could listen to them again. I had seen this kind of thing before. I had just never felt it.

“They invent ideas like God, and love, and righteousness and then they use those same ideas to kill anyone who disagrees with them. They pray without true beliefs and then wonder why their spells don’t work. They don’t even value their pathetic little lives until seconds before it’s taken from them. Poor things.”

When you finish a book and all you can do is stare at a wall for two hours wondering what the heck just happened…

My life had taken a stranger turn than I could’ve ever imagined. What was I doing on this path? Where was I headed really? Who was I to take on a battle between powers I didn’t understand – armed with a runaway cat, a uniquely bad drummer, a pair of garden shears, and an Ovaltine-drinking teen Galileo?

To save a girl who didn’t want to be saved?

A Very Caster Wedding.

It’s almost time to gather together for a very special occasion, and now we have the perfect look to go with the event, thanks to your votes! This was the last cover vote as A Gatlin Wedding is the final installment of Beautiful Creatures: The Untold Stories, and surprise! We’re in LOVE with the final cover that everyone chose. Those gorgeous roses are perfection.

Here’s the novella’s description!

Does it always come down to Destiny? The Wheel of Fate? Who’s behind that Wheel? What kind of idiot is doing the driving around here?

The day has finally arrived: Mitchell Wate and Lillian English are getting married. Everyone has come together—Ethan and Lena, John and Liv, even Link is back in town—and there’s enough pie to make Amma proud. But despite the joyous occasion, Ethan can’t help but worry that something feels…off.

When Siren-turned-Hybrid Caster Ridley blows into town unannounced, Ethan’s suspicions are confirmed. And it’s worse than he imagined: Silas Ravenwood is coming for them, and no one in Gatlin is safe. Has the Wheel of Fate finally caught up to them, or can the Casters and Mortals come together to stop it in its tracks?

RSVP to A Gatlin Wedding and pre-order the final installment of Beautiful Creatures: The Untold Stories for $1.99! The nuptials will be held on January 12, 2016, and we think a wedding celebration with our favorite Casters is just the way to start off a new year, though it seems things may not go as planned…
